Somewhere on Coruscant...
In the park, the very same park where Comedia was injured, there was still a lot of trash left lying around, and people continued to toss their litter on the ground and into the lake.
"Hey, Mom. What should I do with this trash?" said a rodian boy about to leave the park with his mother.
"Hurry up, Runo. We have to go." said his mother.
Shrugging, Runo just tossed the trash over his shoulders, and then it was picked up by someone wearing green and black gloves.
But just as Runo was about to meet with his mother, they were blasted with some kind of goop that filled the air with some kind of gas too! It was all green and sticky, very icky, and Runo started coughing from how awful the stuff stunk.
"What is this stuff?!" Runo said.
"That is your own pollute coming back to you," said an angry voice.
Runo and his mother looked up in horror when they saw a figure in black and green armor with a blaster that was dripping the same goop the younger one was covered in.
"This is what litterbugs like you get for nearly killing my daughter with your garbage!" said the figure angrily.
"Who are you?!" said the female rodian.
"One of the Elements of Pollution. I am Air. And I am here to teach polluters like you a lesson on what happens when you decide to be careless with the environment on this or any planet."
And with that said, he filled the air with more of the gas that polluted the air, and he collected some of the garbage that filled the lake and scanned it.
Scanning for origins of litter
Air, a.k.a. Master Mundi, traced the litter to several people across town, and knew exactly what he was going to do. It was time to give those litterbugs a taste of what they did to his precious girl with their carelessness and their trash.
Air burst into people's homes and into their work places and blasted them with the same green goop and filled the room with the nasty-smelling gas and locked people in the room to be forced to breathe in the pollution, and everywhere he saw people littering or blowing exhaust from their vehicles, he blasted them with the goop and gas as well, and people were getting scared as well as sick as the air was getting even more polluted!
Air filled the room of a big office building as some people were having a meeting, and then locked the door as the people inside banged and pressed themselves against the windows, screaming for help as he blasted the doors and locks with goop and sealed them shut.
The goop didn't just get stuck to people, however. It also spread across the walls and got into people's water supplies and killed the few plants that existed in the city
People called the fire department, the police, and the EMT's. Everywhere they went, even they got stuck. The non-droid firefighters had special masks to protect themselves from the gas, but their uniforms could protect them from the goop getting them or their vehicles stuck, and the goop got the droids circuits gunked up and glitching.
At the hospital...
"How's everyone looking?" asked one doctor.
One of the droid nurses held a data tablet of the results of various patients' test results. Most of them were the same. Some got a skin reaction, others breathed in the fumes for too long, and some were unfortunate enough to accidentally swallow traces of it
"Not good. We've found traces of all kinds of chemicals in the goop and the gas. All of it appears to be made from various pieces of trash, including, but not limited to, broken beer bottles, plastic wrap, empty soda cans, candy wrappers, moldy foods, old fry grease, and broken office supplies."
"There was that much trash in one space?"
"I couldn't make that up, and my brain is literally a supercomputer."
But Coruscant was not the only place receiving distressing news or visits from angry pollution spreading knights.
Back on Naboo, all seemed well at the lake, well, as well as they could be for a lake that was covered in sludge. And that was when two figures in armor, one ivy green and black, the other dark blue and black.
"These plants are not seeming too happy about the pollute they've been getting." said the green one, Earth, a.k.a. Anakin Skywalker.
"And the poor lake is filled with grease." Caroline, now Water, concurred. "I'm analyzing it now."
But as Water was scanning the lake, her power started to glitch, and she gasped. She tried scanning again, and this time it made her dizzy. But she was able to get some results of where the grease had come from. Apparently, this grease was filled with all kinds of awful chemicals you would probably expect to find in a science lab, but her powers started glitching again before she could determine the exact origins of this grease.
Meanwhile, Anakin ignited his lightsaber, and stabbed it into the ground, where all the roots of various plants resided.
"At my command, my pretties, let us show mankind that nature will fight back when they dare to harm it." Earth said.
All around, every plant big and small, unleashed an unusual green glow as they appeared to become sentient. Trees branches grew longer and started to grab people, flowers grew huge and carnivorous, and the palace became covered with spiky briars that sealed the doors and windows shut.
Mariposa and Susy were walking through the hallways when they suddenly noticed the light from the windows was suddenly blocked little by little until the inside of the palace became totally dark.
"What's going on?!" said Susy, noticing the briars.
"Nothing good, I would say." Mariposa said.
Immediately, the two women went to check on the children and the others.
Most of the group was fine, but they noticed a few were absent.
They knew that Padme and Qui-Gon had taken Lamenta and Boba to the hospital to be checked out again, Tech was accompanying Garrett to recruit people to help clean up all the pollution they found thus far, and Carmine was contacting his famous connections to start an environmental protection campaign, but no one had any idea where Caroline or Anakin were. But they did know that another clavatized villain was in their midst. But they would have to get out of the palace to find out what kind of villain they were dealing with.
"I've tried calling him three times," said Gabby. "Daddy won't answer his phone."
"Neither is my mom." Lamenta said, hanging up after getting her mother's voicemail for the fourth time.
"Wherever they are, I hope they're okay." Gabby said, when Omega's phone suddenly rang, and she answered it.
It was Hunter on the phone.
"Hey, kid. Is there a reason your house is covered in briars?" said Hunter.
"I don't know," said Omega. "But none of us can get outside, and Dad and Aunt Caroline are missing too. Are they outside with you?"
"Nope. Just the horses. They're trying to look for a way in, but no luck so far."
That could not be more true. All the flying horses looked for an opening up high, while the ones without wings tried using magic or their teeth on any small bits without spikes. But everywhere they went, the briars tried to strike them.
"Oh, ya wanna piece of me?!" Maybelle snorted at a vine that knocked off her hat. "I'll show ya how we treated weeds back on my granny's farm!"
While Maybelle went on a showdown with the vines on her end, Carousella and Sapphire kept blasting any briars they could hit with the magic from their horn or head gemstone, only for more briars to grow and grow!
"Unless Gabby or Anakin are sick, or Lamenta's having trouble with her botanical spells again, I have no idea where all these could be coming from."
"I only hope the others are okay," said Sapphire.
Luckily, the girls had an idea how to get out of the palace. Go to the Jedi Temple.
Lamenta, Gabby, and Omega rushed through the mirror to the Jedi Temple, but they were in for a bit of a surprise when they arrived on Coruscant.
The windows were all being shut in the Temple, and people were coughing as they came in, anyone opening the doors wearing gas masks to protect themselves from an awful stench that made it hard for anyone to breathe.
Myra was helping her dad as he was coughing from the gas that he accidentally breathed in.
"Myra, what's going on?" Omega asked.
"Master Mundi was clavatized," said Myra.
"WHAT?!" gasped the three princesses.
No one could believe it. A Jedi Master was clavatized? How could this be? Even after the code changed, Jedi were the most level-headed folks anyone in the galaxy knew. And Master Mundi was generally one of the most level-headed Jedi. What could've gotten him so upset he would be a victim of clavatization?
"It's true." Myra said. "And I have a theory of what might've caused it."
Myra knocked on Comedia's bedroom door and entered with the others. Comedia was laying on her bed, reading a book. The three human princesses quickly noticed the bandages on her body.
"Comedia, what happened?" Gabby asked worriedly. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. I just got injured by someone's litter. Some broken glass scarred me, and I had to get stitches." Comedia said.
Comedia and Myra both explained what happened at the park with the garbage that got Comedia dirty, sick, and hurt, and how her father nearly had a heart attack when he found out what happened. And after checking Comedia out from the vet, he was on the verge of having a nervous breakdown as he yelled at practically everyone he contacted for help regarding the pollution.
"He said it was because he wanted to make sure the same thing wouldn't happen to anyone else's children." Comedia said. "And I can't say I blame him. But I didn't think he would succomb to Mariverde's power."
Comedia then thought of something.
"Has he tried to take your family's jewels?"
"No," said Lamenta. "Actually, now that I think about it, no one broke into the palace, as far as I know. The only weird thing we've noticed are briars growing all over the palace."
Omega then looked at a text message on her phone.
"And they just got stranger." Omega said. "Boba just texted me. He says plants are attacking everyone on Naboo! And murky, dirty water and raw sewage is flooding buildings and houses all over the city."
"It sounds like Mariverde's got more than one victim this time." Myra said. "Only question is who are the other victims, and what kind of power did she give them?"
"Whoever they are, my dad needs help." Comedia said, getting up. "If pollution is what got us into this mess, someone's gotta let him know he's only making the problem worse by spreading it. And I'm the one to do that."
"But your dad said to stay here and rest."
"If he became clavatized because I got hurt, he needs to know he's hurting me more by doing this. Daddy has taken care of me since day one. Now it's my turn to take care of him."
Comedia began running out into the hall and grabbed herself a gas mask before flying out an open door, much to the guards and witnessing Jedi knights' objection.
And what Comedia saw outside was a nightmare! People couldn't breathe with all this pollution in the air, and so much of the city was getting covered in this icky green goop!
"Ick! I don't think I've seen this much goop even when I accidentally exploded a gumball bomb in Emeraldi's old room."
