Justice Across Space and Time: Justice of Three Heroes

Chapter 28

This will be the second part of the movie. I'm doing these chapters in roughly the 30-minute intervals. Now I'm getting the movie into build toward the climax. So on with the show.

As Toshinori let off his true meta power Dave was wide eyed. "What? How? I thought that quirked people couldn't…" Dave started but couldn't finish. Shaking his head in confusion. "I'll explain if you give me a second old friend," Toshinori says with a smile.

As he sits down, he relaxes some of his power. The slightly restored symbol of peace then begins some of the tale. "I met some people who had capabilities beyond what I ever thought was possible. And they showed me that I had power beyond any quirk. They healed me and the healing caused dormant potential to be awakened."

Dave's eyes widened at what Toshinori explained and described. But then he looked down as he thought about a few other matters. "If that's the case, then why can't you fight in this form and with your new power!"

"Because I've been doing this as All Might and in my other form for so long. If I suddenly transformed and had a different power from the quirk that everyone is accustomed to, a lot of people would start asking strange questions. My friends and I have come up with a plan for when it is about time for me to retire," Toshinori explained. The first partner of All Might thought about it for a bit and saw what the old hero meant.

As Dave sat back in his chair he sighed before saying, "yeah. With what has been happening with these true meta-awakenings and more people looking into trying to find a way to remove quirks… the if the strongest hero suddenly had a true meta power rather than a quirk, it would raise a lot of questions."

Toshinori nodded while taking a seat next to his friend. He then smiled and said to his old friend, "enough doom and gloom. Let's talk about a few better things. What have you and Melissa been working on?"

The scientist smiled before pulling up some data he and his daughter had been working on while on I island. Once the sun started to go down, the two knew it was time to get ready for the gala party ahead. Dave thought about trying to talk Toshinori out of what he had planned, but he knew his old friend.

'He won't quit when he feels he has to save someone or do something like that. It's just who he is.' After All Might left, Dave took out his phone and looked at some old photos of the two. And thinking back on their time as partners.

In the security room a number of guards are tied up, or unconscious. "We found ten security guards in the room. We have them restrained though. The teleporter really helped. Don't know what the ropes he used are made of, but they are seriously impressive. The big guy knocked a few of them out just by looking at them. Anyway, the plan is a go," a thug in a cross mask said at the main security terminal. The boss instructed the thug to keep the guards restrained. While most of the thugs had a similar mask and tactical gear two stood out.

The first was a smaller man whose arms were bare, and one transformed back and forth between a black wispy matter and normal peach skin tone. He had a half-shaved head of blue hair and an angry look in his red eyes. One of which had a massive scar along it. His own suit did not have armor to it, but it had a few tactical pockets.

The second was a large Hispanic looking man wearing a somewhat similar tactical getup to the quirked villains, but he also wore a mask reminiscent of a luchador. On each of his hands were special gloves that not only protected his hands but let him channel something special.

"All right now the fun can begin," the boss of the villains said with a smile on his face. Putting his metal mask on with a woman beside him and more thugs behind the pair. The woman in this case had shining blue hair and piercing gold eyes. While the boss wore a trench coat, she wore a costume of blue and white. A few of the thugs around her shivered but stood at attention when the boss said, "get ready to move!"

At the I academy, Melissa was showing Izuku, Jotaro and Saphentite around. "This is my own personal laboratory. Sorry it's such a mess," Melissa said as they walked into the lab. While Izuku was slightly geeking out, Jotaro and Saphentite were confused on how what they saw could be messy.

'This is nothing compared to old Koskinen's lab, eh?' Saphentite thought while remembering their old friend. 'True but I doubt he ever really stopped to think about cleaning.' While the two were carrying on their own conversation, Izuku was complimenting Melissa's accomplishments.

"Gotta study hard if I want to be a hero," she said while walking into one of her storage closets. Izuku perked up at this before asking if she meant like a pro hero. "No, I gave up on that dream a long time ago. I mean after all I'm quirkless," Melissa said nonchalantly. Izuku was surprised by the statement but neither Jotaro nor Saphentite were surprised. The former could sense that she wasn't missing any neurons, while the latter could tell she was holding something back.

Izuku started to apologize while thinking back on what he went through after being diagnosed. "I remember what that was like. To be told you don't have something that comes so natural to everyone else. Though now, I can at least say it is for the better that I didn't have one," Izuku says while looking down.

Melissa still has a small smile on her face as she comes forward. "I was in shock for a while, but then I had another goal that was close to my heart. To be like my father. He didn't have a quirk that let him be a hero, but he still supports other heroes with the power of science. He still fights for peace but indirectly."

While Izuku says that is what she wants to do as well, Jotaro has a few different thoughts. "I think I can guess one reason you asked us here. But I do have to ask, why do you think you can't use your own devices and gadgets to fight villains yourself?" he asks while facing the two. Saphentite is off to the side looking at the pictures of Melissa and her father as she was growing up. She has a slightly sad smile on her face but looks back at Jotaro as he is asking his question.

Melissa looks down slightly ashamed before saying, "it's just kind of how things are here. Without a power most can't be a hero. For now, though I hope to help in ways just like my father. Like this!" She presents a box to Izuku with a device inside. Jotaro felt the urge to make a joke of some sort, but Saphentite elbowed him to stop. Melissa explained that the bracelet she gave to Izuku was inspired and built after watching All Might in combat.

"Try pressing the button here on the back," the young inventor says to Izuku. After doing so, the strange metal of the bracelet expands and wraps around Izuku's arm. "This is what I call the Full Gauntlet. I remembered in the sports festival final, and how Jotaro here had to supercharge you so you could use your full power without worrying about recoil. And I knew you were limiting yourself during the villain trial. With this though you should be able to handle your maximum power." This amazes the three hero students. While Jotaro and Saphentite have different experiences, the fact that someone could build a device that could handle that much force was still impressive.

But this also brings Jotaro back to his main thoughts about why the inventor girl had given up on being a hero. She looks down before asking if Jotaro….. "Do you have a way to tell if someone has a true meta power? Like is there some kind of sign?"

"No there isn't." Jotaro says quickly. While it shocks Melissa at how quickly Jotaro shot down her question, when he explains that true meta-abilities are unpredictable at best and there is no determining factor to tell if someone has the potential.

"That said….. I can do something to at least see if the potential will activate," Jotaro says with a small grimace on his face. Melissa's face lights up at this and she asks what it is, while Izuku gets a call from Ida. He was calling to say that he was late for the meet up for the party. "Sorry Ida! I'm actually helping with some true meta research right now. We might be a little late!"

"Ah I see. I suppose you and Jotaro would be the only ones of us who can aid with that. Still! Hurry along and meet up with us when you are done!" After finishing his call, Izuku looks back. And then blushes brightly.

Though Melissa is blushing as well given she has her sweater off and has unbuttoned a bit on her shirt. "Sorry about this. I'm going to run a few energy waves through you. Nothing major or lethal. But I also need to make skin to skin contact to get a better view of what could be happening inside," Jotaro says while popping his knuckles.

Melissa had laid down on the table to give Jotaro an easier scan, but he stopped. "Uh when I said unbutton, I meant the ones at your stomach. Not….. well you know." Melissa blushed again and slightly pulled up her shirt a bit.

Jotaro took a deep breath before placing his hand on her head and stomach. He then gently ran a few of the energy waves he could use through Melissa's body. After about a minute or so, he stopped. Jotaro then shook his head and said to Melissa, "as far as I can tell you don't have true meta potential. Within a quirkless population honestly….. there's only about maybe half that could have the potential." Melissa looked slightly despondent, but she also remembered her original shift to being a scientist like her father.

"You could still be a front-line hero. If that gauntlet is anything to go on, you could make some impressive armor. In fact….." Saphentite says with a smile growing on her face. She then pushes Izuku and Jotaro out of the room before saying the two needed some special girl talk. "Go get Izuku ready for the gala tonight. And don't give me that look. I know you dislike formal wear, but you look good in it and it's for a special occasion."

The two boys look between each other and realize she has a point. Jotaro then teleports the two to their hotels to get changed. After about ten minutes the two are almost ready to go. But they keep struggling with their ties. That is when Melissa and Saphentite poof in as well. "You can do that?"

"I need to know my destination but yes I can," Saphentite says. She then smiles while looking at the boys struggling to get ready. She walks up to Jotaro and says to him, "you're still kind of clumsy with your hands at times. Here." She then ties his tie and smooths out his suit jacket, before giving him a look that makes the other two in the room blush. Melissa then helps Izuku with his own tie.

But then she realizes that she hadn't changed yet. Saphentite smiles before snapping her fingers and changing the both of them. "Now we're all ready to go!" And with that the four quirkless head out to meet up with the others. Though one of them has an interesting surprise under her clothes.

When they arrive, they can all see the group decked out in very nice formal wear. Ida wearing a blue suit and yellow tie, Todoroki with a cool gray suit and red tie. Mineta and Kaminari are still wearing their uniforms from the café. Momo is wearing a lovely yellow dress with her hair up, Ochaco has a cute pink dress with black tights on, and Jiro is wearing a pink and purple dress with a black leather jacket over it.

Their group, however, got their own set of surprised looks. Izuku is wearing a nice black tuxedo with a green tie and silver cufflinks. While not tight it is fairly form fitting and shows some of his build. Jotaro is in much the same but wearing a red tie, and his suit showed off more of his musculature. His sunglasses have also been changed to a more professional and dress-looking type. But the showstoppers are the two girls beside them holding their arms.

Melissa is wearing a light blue dress with her hair up and is no longer wearing her glasses. She has a bit of gloss on her lips and white heels on her feet. For Saphentite, she is wearing a white evening dress with long sleeves and golden accents around the neck and has a hijab on.

While Mineta is at first tempted to say that the look hides too much skin, Kaminari stops him. "Take a closer look dude! It may not show skin, but the way it hugs her curves and form is sexy as Hell!" This statement, however, gets them a glare from the resident brickhouse of the group. After that, they both shut their mouths.

"About time you showed up. But I suppose it can't be helped given you were working on research. Now then, shall we go?" Ida says with a chop of his hands. While they are walking, Izuku compliments Ochaco as well saying that the dress suited her well. This makes Ochaco freak out a bit and blush like crazy. But she also feels a bit jealous seeing Melissa on his arm.

"So did something happen between all of you?" Momo questions while looking at each of the pairs' linked arms. Jotaro shook his head before saying, "no. I just offered to escort Saphee. That's all. I think Izuku just followed my lead." Said green haired boy blushes before nodding.

While they are heading in, they see All Might being ushered up to the stage to speak before the crowd. Jotaro though is feeling tense. He can hear something happening elsewhere in the building. But he can't decide if it actually is happening there or not. 'Worst part about being in some cities. It takes forever for me to find specific sounds of crimes with all the noise.'

'That and it reminds you of the collapse at times, right?' Saphentite thinks as they are walking in. Jotaro looks down in slight shame, but Saphentite brings him up a bit before saying in his mind that he can't keep cycling back to that. 'You're better but you still have a habit of losing yourself in memories. C'mon let's eat. This food looks too good to pass up.' Jotaro smiles again and gets back to the task at hand.

Then the screen behind the hero turns red and Jotaro nods to Saphentite. She nods as well and rushes over to a few of the others. Jotaro grabs Mineta, Jiro, Kaminari, Melissa, and Todoroki, while Saphentite grabs Izuku, Momo, Ochaco and Ida. They then teleport in their own ways back to the entrance.

"Why did you two do that?" Momo asks when they have all landed. "Something's happened. Better we are out here rather than in there!" Jotaro said while trying to listen in on the sounds around him. He then hears the ballroom area they were in being invaded by some other people. And the speech that one of them gives.

He concentrates on his other senses and tries to track what is happening in the room. "Whoever did this turned the security system against the heroes. All of them have been restrained. Even Tos- I mean All Might has been restrained. Oh shit! That's not all. There's a true meta there!" Jotaro reports to the rest.

While most are freaking out and thinking that true metas should be on their side, Melissa brings up a decent point. "Don't forget most of them had been quirkless before. There are probably plenty of them who want payback of some kind." This makes many of the teens sweat as they wonder what could happen next.

Back in the ballroom as All Might is trying to free himself, he feels a cold snap behind himself. The woman in blue was behind him, and with a touch freezes the entire stage and him along with it. "Don't even think about it. You make a move, and we'll kill everyone here. And you won't be too far behind. Care to give your own name my dear?" the boss of the villains says. The woman shoots him an icy look before saying, "DON'T call me that. And you can call me Kolga." The man nods before telling everyone to do as they say.

"No service. Guess that's not surprising," Todoroki says while checking his phone. Mineta meanwhile is panicking about the whole matter. Izuku and Melissa come up with a plan to check in on the rest and find out more of what is going on. They head up the stairs and see Dave and his assistant being led away. They also see All Might frozen to the stage, with a woman right next to him. And her hand is pointed to the audience.

Izuku pulls out his phone and tries to signal All Might when the woman is looking elsewhere. He almost gets spotted twice, but Saphentite quickly puts up an invisibility spell. "This won't last long! Hurry!" Saphentite whisper shouts. Izuku nods before getting the signal to the hero. When Kolga steps away, All Might whispers what is happening. Jiro is the one who hears it and relays All Might's instructions to run.

While Ida and Momo are quick to wish to follow All Might's instructions, Jotaro and Saphentite disagree. The former of whom has already taken off his tuxedo jacket. "It's true you all don't have licenses but that only really applies to those with quirks. I don't fall in that category and neither do Saphentite or Izuku. We need to do something."

While Kaminari, Mineta, Momo, and Ida are trying to disagree with him, they also know he is right. Todoroki then speaks up and says that they are aiming to be pros themselves. "Is it right that we do nothing at all? That we just leave it to those who don't have to follow the rules the same way?" he questions while looking down at his hand.

Izuku closes his eyes before taking off his jacket as well and saying that they all still have to try. "We don't have to fight them directly Jotaro. While it may be true you and I don't have to follow the same rules, we can't rush in there. Especially if they have as strong of a true meta as we think. If we can keep the villains from winning some way, we can save everyone!" Melissa feels inspired by the speech as well and decides to test out what she and Saphentite built in her lab. She pushes the choker on her neck, and it creates a suit of armor for her.

"I didn't expect to need this so soon, but if you're going to fight Kibou, I'm with you," the inventor girl reports with some excitement. "You can't be serious! If you use your quirk, then you could get expelled Miss Shield!" Ida shouts before trying to berate the class 1-A president. Melissa checks her gear as well as the mini wrist blasters and accelerator systems. She then smiles before saying to Ida, "then it should be fine. After all I don't have a quirk." At hearing this all of the other hero teens are stunned.

Jotaro takes off his shirt and charges up the air creating his uniform top. Saphentite snaps her fingers and changes into her own hero costume. Izuku unbuttons his shirt and pulls it aside (Superman reference), revealing that he was wearing his green jumpsuit under his dress clothes. With a new piece added, a logo with the kanji for compassion in the center of his chest.

"I'm glad I took both of you two's advice. Saphentite saying to buy something that would give me enough room to grow, and Jotaro suggestion of wearing my costume underneath," Izuku says while activating the full gauntlet. While they are all preparing, Melissa explains where the security system is located and how to restart the system.

While the others aren't sure, Todoroki points out that if they follow Melissa's plan they could avoid fighting and set the heroes free. "Then Jotaro, Anwar and Midoriya can jump in to back up the heroes."

"Let's do this!" Ochaco says while trembling a little bit. With her statement and saying she didn't want to be helpless and wants to help people, the rest steel their courage and got ready to move out.

Izuku runs back and signals to All Might that they will be trying to save everyone. 'I should be furious at him and the rest for disobeying me….. oh, who am I kidding. If he didn't jump in now, then he wouldn't be my successor. Between him, John, Sahirah and the rest I know they'll carry the day!' All Might thinks to himself.

The teens start running up flights of stairs one after the other to reach the top. Melissa is keeping pace with the hero teens thanks to her armor, but they still have a long way to go. When the stairs are blocked, most of their first thoughts are to break through. "That would alert the security system."

"Hey why don't we just go through this door?" Mineta asks as he reaches up and pulls the handle. In the security room the alarm for the 80th floor goes off alerting the villains to the hero students' presence. While running, the barriers start to close all around them. Todoroki and Ida manage to stop one and open up a way to a separate location for the team to cross through.

"Me and Izuku could just break through everything," Jotaro says after Ida kicked through the door. "Aside from wanting to avoid a fight, we should save you two as well as Saphentite for when we really need you," Ida says with a determined look in his eye. Not that Jotaro can actually see it.

When they are moving through the plant floor, they notice that the elevator is moving upwards. They all hide in some bushes before the villains arrive. When the villains come out, two of them are wearing similar gear to the other villains. The other two though, are Fuerza Gigante the luchador masked villain. And Blackout, the dark energy villain. "Shit! Two of those guys are true metas!" Jotaro says quietly. The others freak out a bit and hope the group will just walk by.

As they are passing though, Gigante speaks up. "Ninos. I suggest you come out. I know you are in the bushes over there." Blackout then sinks into the ground and disappears. One of the other villains berates the two saying they don't call the shots. The villain Nobu then enlarges his webbed hand and throws a weaponized displaced blast of air at where Gigante looked.

"DAMN!" Jotaro says before rushing out and batting the blast away. He then runs in and one shots displacing villain with a punch to the face. When the villain Daigo beasts up and attacks, Jotaro catches his blow before slamming the villain into the ground. And then punching the man so hard he flies out of the building and into the sea.

But he then gets struck from behind by the shadow villain. The attack didn't pierce his barrier or skin, but it still knocked him forward. And into Fuerza Gigante. Who first punches Jotaro in the face and then blasts him back to the other side of the plant.

Todoroki then unleashes a blast of ice to freeze and distract the two true meta villains. It freezes Blackout, but Gigante blasts out of it. But before he can attack the rest, Jotaro rushes in again and pushes the big villain back. Todoroki has an idea on what his friend has in mind and tells the rest to get up to the top. "Jotaro and I can handle this! Get to the top of the tower and finish this!"

Momo gives a quick affirmative as Jotaro gets blasted back again. "Any idea on how their powers work?" Todoroki asks as the Blackout creates a black blade to cut out of ice. Jotaro rubs his face before saying, "the one seems to be manipulating dark matter. He can even turn into it from the looks of things. Probably can use it to get around as well. But from what I sense it takes insane concentration and he'll tire out eventually. The other guy is like a telepath and telekinetic. I felt him trying to attack my mind, but I pushed him out pretty easily. His telekinetic powers though are a different story. The impact is pretty big, though he might just be augmenting his strength." Todoroki nods before taking his stance.

With the rest of the team, they bust through a door and try to find a new way through. Though the way is still blocked. When Melissa spots an air vent to the maintenance room, she mentions that they need someone who is small enough to travel through it. And thus, everyone looks to Mineta. And while he is still scared, his time training with Jotaro and the others is enough for him to grit his teeth and agree to go.

So I'm leaving it here since the climax is coming up. But I also wanted to introduce my OCs. That and I one shot the other two to show how strong Jotaro is and to make room for the others. Please review.
