"What?" Jazz asked again, confused. He would have liked to say that Korrin's words alarmed him, but he was just too confused by the concept. 'My ki is flickering like I'm on the cusp of dying? But, the way he mentioned it implies that this trace is so small only sensitive people can feel it.' He reiterated his thoughts to Korrin, who nodded.

"Something like that."

"But, how?" Jazz asked, "I feel great, especially now since you gave me that Senzu bean.

"I do not know why, but your ki feels of death."

"Does that do anything?" Jazz asked, confused and worried.

"No, but it means you're more susceptible and more potent in using dark magic such as witchcraft, necromancy, curses, hexes, mind control…" Korrin shook his head, "normally this is an impression I get from those born from incredible hardship whose lives are constantly shaped by death. Some of Earth's worst evils gave off such an aura, though, many normal people, and even a few minor heroes had such an impression as well.

Jazz let out a hollow laugh, "am I a villain?"

Korrin snorted, "I mean, you tell me. Or rather, if you'd like, you can speak to me about your problems at the moment."

Jazz looked over to Goku, guilt on his face.

"Don't worry, Goku's alright, I convinced him to train a little while you slept. So that's why he's asleep."

"…Was…did he do the Kamehameha?"

"How'd you know he'd try it?" Korrin asked in shock, "even I thought it was early for someone of his strength."

Jazz sighed in relief, then looked at Korrin, he remembered how Korrin was able to guess the true depths of Perfect Cell's strength and gauge Goku's power in comparison. "Unless it's extremely important that you share the information… Can you keep a secret?"

Korrin nodded, listening to Jazz's story, and what he experienced so far.

"Hmm, the encounter with that wizard aside, what I wonder about is what that PaoPao girl did to you." Korrin beckoned Jazz over, then placed a paw on Jazz's chest.

Jazz sat there awkwardly, becoming more anxious each time Korrin let out an "ah-ha", or an "I see", or an alarmed: "oh my!"

"Sloppy, efficient, thorough, but sloppy." Korrin shook his head.

"What was sloppy?" Jazz asked.

"The way that girl attempted to awaken the ki within you." He poked Jazz's smooth stomach, "your ki normally flows throughout your body, gathering different locations and spreading throughout, she likely felt the same death-like state I did and thought you were dying, so she attempted to flush out your 'bad ki' and completely fill it with her ki. All she did was gather all your ki into one concentrated point, and amplify its effects on you, luckily, because you began training right away then took a long break, you had enough time to stimulate both ki signatures, and allowed them to begin mixing." He laughed, "your strength must have doubled that day, but then again, most humans aren't much to talk about when they start their journey of self-improvement anyway."

Jazz was a little confused, "I sort of understand what you're telling me. It was like PaoPao thought I had diseased blood, so decided to transfuse good, clean blood into me, without realizing that my blood was actually good, and not allowing a means for the bad blood to escape." He scratched his head, "but, you didn't address…"

"How you claim to come from another world and know of major events that will occur in this world? There's not much I can do about that other than suggest the dragon balls if you wish to return home."

"But, isn't it dangerous?"

"Kid, if we thought it was dangerous, Kami would have approached you, as it is, there's nothing we can do to reverse what you've done, and you've not been some great evil." He widened his eyes as he looked at Jazz. "Well, have you been a great evil?"

"No." Jazz chuckled. "But…" he let out a sigh, "I'll probably have to wait a year to get to the dragon balls, and I have to save…"

"It'd be best if you didn't tell me about the future." Korrin said, especially if it might pertain to me or anyone I know, and, your friends still only caught 6 dragon balls, they've waited about 16 hours for your return."

"These Senzu beans are friggen amazing…" Jazz looked at the beans with wonder. "It's a shame that-"

"Na-Uh" Korrin interrupted, "no spoiling me on my future." He whacked Jazz on the head.

"…sorry" Jazz covered his head. "Ow…"

After a few more hours, Goku woke up, and immediately tackled Jazz.

"Eww no!" Jazz began, "I'm naked!"

Goku ignored that, "Jazz! You're alive! The cat said you were on fire from the inside and had to give you a Senzu, but you wouldn't wake up! So then he made you drink some weird water, then you started screaming then you were quiet!" Goku looked worried even as he hugged Jazz. "Are sure you're alright?"

"Yeah, I am!" Jazz nodded helplessly, he still felt weak and groggy. Korrin handed Jazz a Senzu bean. Upon taking it, Jazz immediately perked up. Noticing it, Goku smiled.

"Okay! Good!" Jazz blinked in belief at how quickly Goku's emotions flipped, then burst out laughing.

"You really are Son Goku."

"…yeah?" Goku turned to Jazz, "why, should I be someone else?"

Jazz merely shook his head. Looking around, he found the blanket Korrin lent him to sleep in. Turning to Korrin, he spoke. "Can I have this?" He said as he wrapped the towel around his waist.

"Hmph, you're already putting this on." Korrin turned away. "Do whatever you wish."

Jazz nodded, bowing, "thank you Master Korrin."

"Who are you calling Master?" Korrin however smiled. "Good luck children…" he waved them off.

Their trip back was another five hours, they talked about some things, Goku exchanged his conversation with Chi-Chi and meeting Roshi, while Jazz talked about his encounter with the Wizard.

"Wow, do you feel any different?" Goku asked.

"Not really, I feel a little stronger maybe? But otherwise, nothing happened." Jazz laughed, "I guess he messed up."

"Well, he did trap himself inside the fire." They laughed at Goku's quip.

"Goku," Jazz began, "I'm sorry."

"It's alright." Goku said, "You don't have to apologize to me, besides, you did your best, right? That's enough for me."

Jazz sighed, "Bulma must want to kill me."

"Why would she want to kill you?!" Goku replied in shock, "she cried the hardest."

"…It's an expression." Jazz replied.

"…What's that?"

"…You really are Son Goku."

"What's that supposed to mean?!"

They bickered jokingly as they arrived at the ruins of FryPan Mountain.

There, they came across a peculiar sight.

"How dare you imprison the great emperor Pilaf!" Bulma, Oolong, Yamcha, Puar, the Ox-King, and Chi-Chi were standing around a gang of three people. In the center of the three was a tiny blue man without a nose, to his left and right respectively was a young black-haired woman and dog-man in a Ninja Costume.

"Yeah, yeah." Oolong came over, bringing them bowls of food. "Eat up, though it's too good for you."

Further beyond, Bulma was hugging and dancing around Yamcha, who was hugging and dancing back. The Ox-King was cooking a meal and Chi-Chi was next to him, daintily eating some fruit.

"Hey, guys!" Goku shouted as the Kintoun slowed to a stop. Jazz, who had held on by one hand, let go and landed on the ground.

"Jazz!" Bulma let go of Yamcha and rushed to hug Jazz, who blushed in surprise.

"B-Bulma?" He looked over at Yamcha nervously, at the moment, Jazz's only article of clothing was a towel wrapped around his waist. To his surprise, however, Yamcha simply walked up and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Little bro!"

'WHAT?!' Jazz was startled by Yamcha, Bulma had by this point let go of the stunned Jazz and hugged Yamcha again.

"Jazz! We decided to get together!"

"Oh!" Jazz smiled, "that's great! I hope you two are happy." He turned to Yamcha and asked, "Uhh, little bro?"

Yamcha laughed, "well you're Bulma's little bro right? I mean, you guys look pretty different but Dr. Briefs is a rich…" Yamcha was interrupted by Jazz blocking his mouth.

"Oh sorry, I saw a fly." Jazz laughed, "also I'm not related by blood to Bulma."

Yamcha's eyes widened in realization, and he slowly nodded. Bulma had grown silent, then burst out laughing. "Like my stick of a dad would be dumb enough to cheat!" Yamcha nervously chuckled.

Jazz felt a massive hand over his shoulder, turning, he saw the Ox-King glare at him intensely. "Boy! You truly tried to save my treasures, and, if I'm correct, you fought the wizard who set my mountain of fire, for this, I thank you!"

Jazz nodded, "unfortunately I couldn't save it."

The man smiled, "it's quite alright."

Jazz sighed then turned to the struggling Pilaf gang.

"So… what happened?"

The situation was rather straightforward. As they waited for Goku's return, Bulma noticed the last dragon ball heading their way. Apparently, the Pilaf Gang, knowing of FryPan Mountain's situation, spied on Bulma and the rest. After waiting for Master Roshi to leave, the Pilaf Gang attacked from above and began to bombard them. As they scattered, Pilaf rushed forward to grab the balls. Bulma ran up to stop him, and Yamcha leaped out, saving Bulma's life. The Ox-King and Yamcha worked together, taking out Mai and Shu, the woman and dog respectively, and Oolong was able to get the information out of the trio. Bulma and Yamcha drove to their base and looted their plane, beds, tech, and dragon radar.

During the aftermath, Bulma sighed and laughed, saying that she was ready to finally get her wish. Yamcha asked what her wish was, and she asked him in return what he would wish for, they chose to say it at the same time. Long story short, the two got together, which caused Jazz to feel a huge level of relief, at the same time though, he felt pity for Yamcha.

"So with this…" Bulma began, "we have all the dragon balls!"

Jazz felt everyone turn to him. "Hmm?" He said, smiling.

"Well…" Bulma began, "Yamcha and I don't need wishes anymore."

The Ox-King grinned, "I can rebuild my castle and amass my treasure again."

Puar sighed, "as long as Yamcha is happy, I don't need to wish for anything! Plus Bulma's rich!"

Oolong rubbed his head, "I really wanted a woman!"

"Shut up!" Everyone yelled.

"So," Bulma finished, "we thought the person to make the wish could be either of you." She looked at Goku then at Jazz.

"Goku, your Grandpa died right? Why don't you try and see if you can revive him?"

Goku turned to look at Jazz, who smiled sadly at Goku. "Definitely, you can try."

He walked up to Pilaf and his gang.

"W-wait, what are you doing?! Unha-" Jazz gagged the Pilaf gang, tying rags around their mouths.

"Goku, you can summon Shenron."

Goku looked at everyone, who nodded his way. Sighing, Goku called out. "I call you… dragon, come out and Grant my wish!"

The dragon balls began to glow, and exploding out, a massive green dragon with four legs and a snake-like body coiled in the air.

"I am the eternal dragon, state your wish."

Goku looked up at the dragon, "Dragon! Bring back, my Grandpa! Grandpa Gohan!"

The dragon's eyes began to glow. "I cannot do that. Your grandfather has been dead for more than a year."

Bulma gasped and Yamcha scowled. "What kind of dragon are you!?" He roared.

"If you have no wish, I will leave, if you continue to insult me, I will take your life!" The ground shook at the boom of his call. Causing Yamcha to stand in front of Bulma reflexively.

Goku sighed, then turned to Jazz. "You can have the wish… though, I think you knew." The others turned to Jazz, confused.

Jazz turned to everyone and nodded, "Shenron cannot return those from the dead who died longer than a year ago, and who lost their lives through natural causes like illness and old age. He also can't revive someone twice."

"That is correct…"

"How do you know that?!" Yamcha asked in disbelief.

Bulma just looked on in disbelief, realization filling her eyes.

Jazz nodded, "I didn't lie to you Bulma." He turned to Goku, "did you hear my conversation with Korrin?"

Goku nodded, "you knew I was awake, why didn't you hide it?"

"I trusted you guys, and… honestly, you saved my life Goku, both you and Bulma have given me a great deal of happiness on this Earth, so I wanted to change tactics." He turned to Bulma. "Sorry Bulma, my original plan was to steal the wish away, I knew you would meet Yamcha and both of you would be happy. So, I wanted to use the dragon balls to wish myself home." He turned to Shenron. "Shenron! You know I do not belong in this multiverse! I am not an original denizen of this universe, but belong to my own Earth, away from here, please… grant me my wish, return me home!"

"I CANNOT DO THAT."

Jazz flinched, but then he smiled, he had suspected that Shenron was too weak to grant such a wish. "Shenron! Then show me how I can return home!"

Shenron's eyes began to glow, "YOU, WHO BELONG TO AN EARTH AND UNIVERSE OUTSIDE OURS, CANNOT LEAVE BY MEANS OF GODS, DEMONS, MAGIC, OR SCIENCE. NO ETERNAL DRAGON CAN GRANT YOUR FREEDOM, AND YOUR ACTIONS MAKE YOUR TRAVELS MORE DIFFICULT."

"What?" Jazz asked.

"AS AN INTERLOPER, YOUR SOUL IS OUTSIDE THE RULES OF OUR WORLD, IF YOU GAIN TOO MUCH, CHANGE TOO MUCH, OR DIE, YOUR SOUL WILL BE PULLED, AND YOUR CONNECTION TO YOUR REALITY WILL BE SEVERED, WHEN THAT HAPPENS, YOU WILL BE STRANDED IN OUR WORLD, DOOMED TO ONLY LIVE THIS SINGLE, MORTAL EXISTENCE BEFORE CEASING TO BE."

"Wait…" Jazz shouted, "what do you mean?!"

"If you had been unchanged, your transference would have been simple, but you have had an energy of our universe placed within you, you have been exposed long to the energies of the dragon balls, and you have consumed mystical elements of magical beings and regents." The dragon's eyes gleamed. "Unfortunately, it is not within my power to give you the knowledge required to send you home, nor is it within my ability to save you."

Jazz sighed, "What would happen if I asked you for immortality?"

"I cannot grant this… your soul lacks the components of our universe to allow that wish. An indestructible body is impossible, nor a body that can reform from nothingness, as you lack the ability to keep the soul remaining. If I granted you immortality, you would be capable of withstanding any blow that wouldn't instantly kill a human being indefinitely, but would immediately die when killed."

Jazz's friends looked at Jazz with a mixture of surprise, shock, and pity. From the little they understood, Jazz was stranded in a world he didn't belong in, and it seemed that in this journey he took with them, he simply sealed his fate.

Jazz's mind raced, then he thought back to what he had been told by Korrin. "Can… can I wish to remove the elements that bind me to this world?"

"IN ORDER TO DO THAT, YOU MUST KILL THE ONES WHO NOW BIND YOU TO THIS WORLD, ONE HAS ALREADY DIED, AND 1 MORE EXISTS, WITH HER STILL ALIVE, EVEN IF I WERE ABLE TO REMOVE WHAT TAINTED YOU, YOU WOULD STILL BE BOUND."

Jazz felt as if his blood froze, "DON'T FUCK WITH ME!" He shouted, "THERE MUST BE ANOTHER WAY!"

"IF THERE WAS ANOTHER WAY, I WOULD KNOW." Shenron gleamed, "I AM THE ETERNAL DRAGON."

Jazz's face reddened, "FINE! IF YOU CAN'T HELP ME!" He turned to his friends, "please, act like you never knew me if I never came back, live your lives the way they should be lead." He turned to the dragon. "TAKE ME TO NAMEK!"

The dragon's eyes gleamed, the world darkened around Jazz, and before everyone's eyes, he teleported in a blip of light.

"...Jazz?" Bulma asked, "Jazz?!" She turned to the dragon, but it was too late, as the dragon balls circled the air, blasting out and disappearing. The black sky began to clear, leaving the group in stunned silence.

Jazz opened his eyes to face a group of green humanoids, all bald, all with long elf-like ears, and all with two antennas. One of the men approached Jazz cautiously.

"...Are you alright young man?" The namekian placed a hand on his chest. "I am Elder Moori, and this is Namek, we are a peaceful people and ask that you state your reasoning for appearing before us like this." Behind him, several namekians seemed to be making intimidating poses, and some warrior namekians stood, ready to attack, and even kill if needed, at the drop of a hat.

Jazz looked at the namekians, and his inflamed gaze began to cool, at the same time, tears began to well in his eyes. "I'm sorry for taking your time." He began quietly, "I don't care if it's in a day, or in a year, please, allow me to speak with your Grand Elder, and grant me permission to use the dragon balls…" He bowed down before the Namekian elder, who blinked in surprise.

Elder Moori was troubled by the young man's arrival. When the boy appeared before them, his ki was dark and brooding, and filled with a malevolent rage. When the boy saw the Namekians, his ki seemed to calm and his rage subsided, but his ki still exuded the dark, evil energy, reminiscent of that of Namekians corrupted by the evils of other societies. He wanted to be rid of the boy, but at the same time, his power was pitiful, in many ways it was lower than that of some of the animals that roamed their seas. Still, the child could be a danger to the children. "...I…" The Elder began.

"Elder!" A namekian called out, "you can't be serious about considering his words!" A warrior namekian, a young one of only 20 years by the name of Maima, called out. "You feel his ki, alongside the rest of us, he may be aiming to enslave our people, or enact a great evil using the power of Porunga."

Jazz shook his head, "Porunga can only grant wishes made in the namekian language, thus, if you wanted to, you could listen to me give my wish, then wish the opposite or have Porunga simply send me away from the planet, unable to have my wish granted."

The namekians murmured amongst themselves. "How does he know?!" One of them shouted out in alarm.

Jazz shook his head, "this is why I wish to speak to your Grand Elder, I need his help, and…" he looked at them all, "I need to know if trying to get home is worth my time, or if I'm better of trying to enjoy myself in this universe."

Mei Lin smirked as she saw the girl walking towards her. "Oh? My cute, stupid little PaoPao has returned." She turned to her father, who merely grunted. He was an imposing, giant of a man with a stern face, eagle-like eyes, and a black top-knot.

"You're late." He scowled as his youngest daughter bowed before them.

"PaoPao apologizes, she was told to come after 3 months, 7 months is more than 3 months, is it not? PaoPao must just be stupid." Their father's face reddened in anger.

Mei Lin giggled, "wow… I can't believe you'd speak like that."

"...HOW DARE YOU?!" Their father stood up.

"How dare you!" PaoPao shouted back angrily, "you have two daughters, do you not father?!" She spread her hands out, "but at the moment I only see one chair by your throne."

"That chair is for a worthy child…"

"Oh? On what grounds, hard work? Talent? Cruelty?" PaoPao laughed.

"What is your point dear sister?" Mei Lin's eyes narrowed.

"Oh? No point." PaoPao smiled, "I decided to come here after some thought, and decided that… I don't need this family."

"Cute…" Mei Lin charged towards PaoPao, pulling out a sword in the blink of an eye.

PaoPao replied by launching a talisman forward, which destroyed the sword. She charged forward, launching four objects at her sister.

Mei Lin blocked the first 3 but groaned in shock and pain as a 30-pound weight smashed into her stomach. She looked up to see her sister rush forward with unforeseen speed. "Sister…" PaoPao began. "I looked to you every day we 'sparred', as much as you hated me, I loved you and father, I studied every move you made, I agonized over the tiniest detail, hoping a tiny bit of your radiance would warm me. But I've realized, you were false lights." PaoPao grinned. "If I have no light, I'll find my sun."

"What cute sophistry!" Mei Lin got up slowly, just as her father rose from his throne.

"You think you can get away with this?" He called out, "MEN! COME AND DEPOSE OF THIS… SCUM!"

"Isn't this just a spar father?" PaoPao began, "I mean, dearest eldest sister attacked PaoPao first, right?" She snapped her finger, as, before their very eyes, dozens of men and women walked forward.

The two gasped in shock. "You… you learned witchcraft?!" Mei Lin asked, "I thought you were low sister, but truly, I was wrong."

PaoPao laughed, "Don't worry sister, I simply did this so that they wouldn't interfere." She took out another talisman, placing it in front of her forehead. "Father…" She said quietly, "tell me the truth, do you blame me… for mother's death? Is that why you hired those Orin Temple Monks to come to kill me when you sent me back to the city?"

Mei Lin turned to look at her father in indignation. "Father, how dare she i-..." she looked at her father's expression, and her face twisted in fear. "W-wait, s-sister…" Mei Lin smiled placatingly, "I didn't order it, you have to believe me...we have our differences, but… we aren't enemies, I love you, I was just…jealous of your hard work."

PaoPao smiled sadly and placed the talisman on her head.

The two screamed as the enchanted PaoPao systematically beat them down, barely avoiding fatal blows, and moving to cripple and injure. Eventually, the two lay before PaoPao, moaning in pain. PaoPao removed the talisman and smiled malevolently.

"...Don't… don't kill me…" Mei Lin trembled.

PaoPao sighed, "you know… I can't be you." she smiled, "I still love my family."

"So…" Mei Lin's eyes lit up.

"I don't love you that much." PaoPao placed a talisman on her sister, then turned to her father, placing another talisman forward.

After the deed was done, PaoPao sighed and turned to the men around her. Her clan had fallen overnight, and now she was its ruler. She snapped her fingers, and all Jiang Shi except for her father and sister removed their talisman.

"You're all probably confused." PaoPao smiled as she looked at the confused men and women. "I've defeated my father and sister, but, I couldn't kill them, as for the rest of you? Well." She smiled, "you are cursed by my hexes, if you attempt to resist, I will simply welcome you back as a Jiang Shi, but otherwise, you can have your free will. I want followers, not sycophants, you can curse me, insult me, hate me, and resist my kindness and rewards, but you will never… ever… disobey an order…" Her frown dropped, "am I clear?"

The people watched, their expressions varied, but eventually, they began to bow forward. PaoPao smiled, "I'll find my sun, and to protect it from the cruel eyes of those who don't deserve to behold its glory and light, I'll be the Eclipse."

Dark, but again… bear with me. Anyways… thanks for reading!
Interesting, that the price of choices is what brought those two to their situation. PaoPao wouldn't be as strong, and likely wouldn't have thought to look to dark magic if not for Jazz's ki being so negative. While Jazz wouldn't be stuck if not for agreeing with Jazz to try and get stronger, that's also why he was mad at Shenron's answer. As much as Jazz wants to get back home, PaoPao is a friend and a helper, he couldn't kill her and face his mother again, even if he got back home.
