Bulma looked out the window, and stared at the rain, despondent.
"Oh dear, she's been like this all week, even after bringing such a cute young man over." Bulma's mother put a hand to her side and sighed.
"It must be that young boy who accompanied her." Dr. Briefs was tinkering on Jazz's smartphone, he had left it with Bulma long ago to have her look at it once over, and Dr. Briefs decided to take a look, he was impressed by the hardware, certain it didn't exist in this reality, it was too advanced in some ways while being too archaic in others, but when he said that, it seemed to make Bulma even more upset.
"Bulma…" Yamcha said, bringing his girlfriend flowers. "It's been only a week, I'm sure he's fine."
Bulma didn't turn around. "What if he does leave? You heard what the dragon says, what Jazz said about coming from another reality, it might all be true!"
Yamcha was at a loss for words. "I… yeah… I get it, I mean, imagine, being watched by millions of strangers…"
"That's not what I'm talking about!" Bulma grumbled, "I don't care if a billion people I've never met and won't ever meet know what I'm doing at all times. That's not important! It's Jazz, I've known him for a long enough time that you'd think he'd tell me something like this!
Puar was saddened by Bulma's distraught appearance. "How long did you know him?" Remembering how Bulma referred to Jazz as little bro, Puar believed Bulma had probably known Jazz for a long time.
"7 Months! I helped him out for 7 months!"
Yamcha nearly choked on the spit in his mouth as he flipped over, flabbergasted. "S-seven Months?!" He asked, dumbfounded. "B-but… only 7 months?"
"What?! You think 7 months isn't enough to get to know someone?!" Bulma growled.
"NO! Not at all!" Yamcha shouted.
"I mean… sir Yamcha only knew miss Bulma for 5 days…" Puar mumbled.
After a few more seconds Bulma stood up angrily, "you know what, fine, he didn't want to ask us for help, I'll show him! Hey, Jazz, if you're out there, Big Sis decided she doesn't need you to have any fun!" She grabbed Yamcha's arm and turned to him, "come on Yamcha, I've been mean to you this whole time, let's have fun in the city!"
Yamcha nodded excitedly, inside his head, he both pitied and thanked Jazz, wherever he was.
...
Jazz's eyes took on a sharp glint as the earth before him was split into four even furrows. He struck with precision and efficiency, overturning countless yards of Namekian ground and uprooting the natural plant life. Turning back towards the aftermath of his destruction, he turned to the Namekian child watching him. "Fufufu! With that, your ground has been overturned! What day you child?!" The shield laughed and ran past him, scattering plant seeds onto the freshly tilled soil.
Jazz turned around and shouted out. "You attempt to replenish your grounds?!" He lifted an oversized watering can. "I shall flood them!" He began to gently water the freshly sown soil. After he emptied the first water can, he turned to the second. Once the work was done, he turned back to the fields. Jazz admired his work, and the child Namekian nodded contently. He turned to the kid. "You have fought well, Poda."
The Namekian child, Poda, smiled widely. "You're funny, Jasper!"
Jazz sighed, he often tried to play with the Namekian children, and while most of them were comfortable around him, and a few of them, like Poda, even played along, they all simply enjoyed his eccentricity, but didn't get fully into the role play. He had spent a week on Namek, and in this time, the villagers gave him a home in the outskirts of their village. Three days ago, they asked if he would be alright with farming with them, and yesterday, a few of the Namekian children came to watch his farm and indulged in his habit of trying playing around while working.
Poda eventually turned to leave, and Jazz returned to the simple white house he had called home for the past week. After napping for an hour, he got up and went out to train.
The Namekians of the dragon clan had been nervous when he asked them to forge his tools with their magic. But after the first 5 days, they acquiesced. Jazz was given a new set of weighted bracers and shin guards, as well as a weighted jacket, each at 20 pounds. A warrior- clan Namekian had volunteered to watch him train.
"…You're weak, y'know?"
"Oh my god, not you too." Jazz frowned in irritation. The warrior blinked in surprise.
"You aren't the first person to say 'you're weak, y'know?', if you want to offer help just say that, else keep your comments to yourself,"
The Namekian grunted but said nothing else. He folded his arms and watched Jazz continue to train.
Eventually, after a few more moments, Jazz closed his eyes, he felt the energy within him, as he focused on it, he imagined it flowing into his palms and concentrated it.
The Namekian warrior felt Jazz's ki rise nearly three times over, it was still weak, but the act left him slightly nervous. He watched as Jazz fired off a beam of violet light that disappeared nearly as quickly as he fired it.
"…Hmm" the warrior felt Jazz's ki, it felt as dark and cloying as it did the day he arrived at their planet, but he had proven to be…not dangerous. Jazz had made the request once to be allowed to see the Guru and use the dragon balls, but they had refused him. Elder Moori led the other elders and a few warriors to approach Jazz after a day, and told him their answer, preparing for the worst. Surprisingly, to them at least, Jazz did not reply with anger, hatred, or even despair, he simply nodded, and asked if they could provide a place for him to live and a means to grow food, as otherwise he would eventually succumb and die to the elements.
Since then, Jazz had been no trouble and had even gained a positive reputation, albeit a small positive reputation with the elders and young. Though most adult Namekians did not trust him still, the warrior included, they tolerated him, as he had not harmed anyone and reacted peacefully to the rejection. But for the warrior, Esca, he found Jazz's complacency too suspicious.
As Jazz trained, the warrior felt familiar ki approach them from Guru's home. 'It's Nail?'
Sensing the warrior's change in demeanor, Jazz paused from his workout and turned to face the approaching person. He smiled wryly as the Namekian approached him.
Nail was a tall, muscular Namekian, and other than his alien features could be considered physically handsome by human standards.
"N-Nail?!" Esca shouted, "why are you here?"
Jazz sighed, 'He arrived here on day 2.' Nail had been sent by Lord Guru to investigate the mysterious stranger to their planet. Upon hearing from the various elders, the powerful warrior approached and gauged Jazz. After a few moments, he left. Jazz often saw Nail return, he would throw pointers when Jazz trained, ask questions, and answer the few questions Jazz revealed.
Nail turned to Esca, "I am here on Lord Guru's orders."
"Guru?!"
Nail nodded, "he is ready to speak to the human, he also asks that the Elders and at least one warrior from each village come with him as well."
"O-oh?!" Esca puffed up, "allow me to…"
Nail raised a hand, "peace, brother, Lord Guru is not angry with any of you, nor is this a punishment. I have told the elders, you can return to the village yourself and wait for the Elder to call a warrior."
Esca hesitated for a moment, before leaving.
Jazz turned to Nail, "Is that true? Does Grand Elder Guru wish to speak to me?"
"He does." Nail nodded. "Guru had the elders and I observe you."
"Oh, okay." Jazz nodded nonchalantly.
"You are not upset?"
"I'm a little annoyed." The boy shrugged, "But I understand. I mean, I'm aware my very presence is probably threatening. And I'm not a Namekian, your people take great care to not abuse the dragon balls, if you did, you'd be the rulers of this universe."
"I see." Nail pondered, "why do you go immediately to that concept?"
Jazz sighed, "your people strike me as peaceful pacifists. You have little desire for wealth, power, prestige, or bloodshed. If your feelings were so strong that you wished to spread it to the universe, you'd forgo the free will of others, evil or otherwise, to enact a vision of peace that you saw fit, and with the dragon balls it would be easy."
"Why does this require us to take over?" Nail asked.
"Because free will means that at least one person takes the selfish option." Jazz got up, "so, will we be walking?"
Before he could respond, Nail was behind him and already carrying him through the air at speeds that dwarfed the Kintoun. It took minutes to traverse Namek's surface and arrive at the giant home of Lord Guru.
"So, you are the child who put my family at unease…" the Grand Elder was a giant, obese, and ancient-looking Namekian that sat on a throne of shaped coral. He smiled gently at Jazz. "Your heart is full of a twist of emotions, with hatred directed solely against yourself, will you explain it to me?"
Jazz nodded and spoke his story. "I woke up in the home of a farmer, at first I…" The faces of the elders morphed as different emotions flashed through their faces. Incredulity, anger, confusion, pity, fear, sadness, then simply wonder at the strange being before them. "…So, I asked Shenron to send me here, begging for your assistance, I need to speak to Porunga, whose power is greater than that of Shenron."
"But you have a path in killing the girl, PaoPao." A warrior asked, "why do you not simply kill her to free yourself?"
Jazz shook his head. "Why would I kill her to make my life easier, she isn't an enemy that tried to kill me, so there is no enmity, and even if she changed me, I asked for the change, and it is unfair of me to impose my troubles on her kindness that was born of our combined lack of knowledge."
Guru nodded. "I gathered my Elders and top warriors of each village to witness my talk with this boy, and to hear my decision." He looked around, "I offer him our dragon balls, he will ask his wish, we will determine whether to acquiesce, and Porunga shall grant, if possible." The Namekian elders murmured to each other, but then Moori stood up.
"If I may be permitted to ask Elder… Why do you accept it so readily? He has been on our planet for only a week and a few days. If this was to test his patience, I do not believe this is enough time."
Guru smiled, "Perhaps you feel it as I do, there is a dormant power of fire sleeping in the boy."
This caught Jazz's attention.
"Fire is what led to our great drought that nearly doomed our people."
'It's not because of my ki?' Jazz thought, he remembered the Wizard's words, that a way to gain magical power was through the consumption of magical beings. '…that…will be repressed.'
Guru continued, "the fire within him contains a different, but equally devastating power, yet despite that inferno, and despite the darkness that seems to diffuse within his body, he has made no attempts to harm us, or our children. Nor has he left the home we placed for him to attempt to wander our villages."
The elders muttered some more, eventually, they all bowed. "We follow your wisdom, Lord Guru."
Gathering the dragon balls took less than an hour, but as per their ceremonial ways, the Namekians spent about 6 hours celebrating before they would summon Porunga.
Jazz swallowed his impatience and commenced with the ceremony, jumping and dancing with the Namekians, who had somehow accepted him warmly.
"Look here young man…" the first Namekian said, "you have a magic within you, powerful magic, perhaps you can learn this!" He pointed to himself, a beam of light struck his clothes, changing them from a red and white robe to a purple and green one." Another Namekian handed him a cup of water.
Jazz laughed as he drank the offered water. "Sure! That sounds fun!" His eyes gleamed as he watched the Namekian. "But to be fair! I don't know how to use magic, you guys say I have some in me, right?"
The namekian laughed, "if you have magic, but can't use it, there are three ways to use it."
"Oh?"
"Create a regent to transfer the magic through. Or feel it within you and cast the magic!" Another Namekian piped up.
"So like, a magic wand?" Jazz was confused, "umm, wait, what's the third option?"
"Using a magic word!" The first Namekian said, "every magic-user probably has a magic word that they can try and chant spells from!"
"Really?" Jazz replied with some sarcasm.
"Yes, really!" The namekian said, "now, you might laugh, but…" he stood up, pulled up his pants, and shouted, "ugslugslug!" A ray of light blasted from his hand, summoning a massive house.
"...Wow…" Jazz laughed. "Ug slug slug?" He sighed, "I don't think I have such a magic word."
"You are magic, everyone has one, but it's only really good for concentrating the spells you are good at or are natural at already. Think about it!" The Namekian smiled, "perhaps there is a word or phrase you say subconsciously? Or something you think of? When you find the word, think of what you want to do."
Jazz sighed, "hmm… wait…" he thought, remembering the wizard. He walked a bit past the Namekians, and cupped his hands together. "Umm…" he coughed in embarrassment, "Wa...bo...wabobo?" The air around him began to heat up as a fountain of fire rushed from his palms, the flames arched high in the air, then flickered out of existence as if it was an illusion. Jazz fell to the floor, slightly winded. "Hoo…" he looked at his palm, then muttered, "wabowabobo…" a tiny spark flickered in his hand. Jazz felt slight fatigue.
"It must feel exhausting." The old Namekian kneeled by Jazz's side. "Magic is mentally taxing and requires supreme concentration, using your inherent lifeforce and spirit is physically taxing and requires concentration, but Magic is extremely taxing on the mind." As if demonstrating his words, Jazz felt a massive migraine come upon him. He took another drink of water.
"Umm, so…" Jazz began, "I can just use magic now?"
"Goodness no, you need training, but if you dedicated yourself, I believe I could teach you everything in five years." He smiled, "It's not every day we meet a non-namekian who can use magic and is allowed to call on the aid of Porunga."
Jazz shook his head, "I may just take you up on that offer, but… not today." Jazz got up as Nail approached him. "Hello, is it time?"
Nail nodded and led him over to a group of 7 dragon balls, each was nearly thrice the size of the dragon balls he saw on earth. He watched as the Namekians kneeled before the dragon balls, and saw Nail begin to speak in the Namekian language.
The sky Darkened, and a massive dragon with a stout snout, massive horns, huge pectorals and arms, and a giant sail on his back materialized before them.
"I am the eternal dragon, Porunga, state your three wishes…"
Nail turned to Jazz, who was hesitant at first. "State your wish as if you were speaking to Porunga, he can understand you, he simply only responds to our people's tongue.
Jazz nodded, "alright, Great Dragon Porunga! I beseech you to grant my wish! I'm sure you are aware, I do not belong here, send me back to my reality, my Earth! Different from the one in this universe or in any in our multiverse."
Porunga turned to face Jazz after Nail repeated his message. "I believe you were told by a counterpart of mine that such a wish is an impossibility, I am more powerful, but even such a wish would be more than even I am capable of, even if you used all three wishes to force the same task."
Nail turned to look at Jazz, who sighed. "…I figured, but I wanted to hope…Alright! Porunga! For my first wish, tell me how to balance the energies and remove the roadblocks keeping me from returning home!"
Nail repeated the request.
"That is simple enough. You have an innate knowledge of the great going on of this universe through your original reality and home. In order to return, you must experience these yourself in person, or at least, survive the time. Once you have lived through the entire established time, without dying, of course, you must make a wish on the most powerful dragon balls in existence, and you will return home to your reality and time period."
'Wait, does that mean I just have to survive to the end of Dragon Ball Z? Wait… no, I've watched GT and Super, so... it's a trick question, I'm trapped. But… he did say I just have to survive till the time the story would normally fully end…
As if sensing his thoughts, Porunga continued, "Unfortunately, you cannot wish to simply arrive in that time period, or wish to cause the time to be experienced faster for you solely or for the universe at large. I must however warn you…" Porunga began, "You must avoid utilizing the magic of the dragon balls when a being is near the dragon when summoned or makes a wish that affects them in some way, a bit of the mystical residue that makes the dragon balls will rub off on the person, the more powerful the wish, the more energy is left over. Your physical makeup has been shifted due to the magic within you, for this reason, you are made to retain the magic as opposed to releasing it, which lowers the chance of being able to leave. The dragon balls from the planet you originate on will have the lowest residue effect on you, my dragon balls will have a slightly higher effect on you, and the Great Dragon Balls of Zalama would likely instantly keep you from returning home if you accessed them before your time."
Jazz nodded, "okay, thanks! For my second wish."
Porunga interrupted Jazz and spoke to Nail in Namekian. Nail turned to look at Jazz. "Lord Porunga states he doesn't believe answering a question counts as truly a wish, and because you've been polite…" Jazz looked at Porunga, who flashed an "okay" symbol with one of his massive clawed hands. "…Porunga offers you his three wishes, he can also attempt to reduce the magic strain on you, but only this once."
Jazz nodded. "Thank you Lord Porunga, you've been a great help, more than many could imagine. For my first wish…" he scratched his head, "I assume being made immortal is impossible?"
"It is impossible to even for the Great Dragon Balls of Zalama to grant such a wish for the likes of you, but I can grant the closest equivalent, extreme regeneration and quickly recovering stamina, in which any blow you receive, so long as it is not immediately fatal, can be weathered, though such a task can cost you a large part of your stamina and energy, as for the quickly recovering stamina, you can recover your breath and energy at 20 times the speed you would have recovered normally, this can also be suppressed."
Jazz immediately saw the benefits of such a thing. "Thank you Lord Porunga! Yes, I would like what you suggested as my wish!" Nail repeated Jazz's words, then the crowd of Namekians watched as a bright yellow light formed around Jazz then melted into his skin.
"State your next wishes."
Jazz pondered for a moment, he knew he could ask for something cheeky like limitless potential, or unparalleled magic ability, but neither appealed to him at the moment, he had been told that he would have to spend at least 28, if not 30-40 more years in this world. 'I only really know up to the beginning of the Granola arc…' Jazz thought, so increasing his potential and growing strong would be appealing, but it didn't sound enjoyable to him.
Jazz thought about attaining such power, but found the entire idea…boring.' Despite the aftermath, and despite the state of his body after, he thoroughly enjoyed fighting Goku and that Wizard, he loved the thrill of his life flashing before his eyes and being on the cusp of life and death. His wish for immortality was to curb such an addiction, but, being granted such abilities as high-speed regeneration and quick stamina recovery should be helpful as well. After a moment, he looked up at all the Namkians, then smiled. "In around a decade, a tyrant would arrive on this planet to terrorize its people in order to use the dragon balls to gain immortality. Could you move the planet to an equally habitable tri-solar system further away and hidden from the view of Frieza and his men?
Jazz could have sworn he just saw Porunga smile. "Your wish…" his eyes gleamed red, "Is granted…"
Jazz nodded, "then, for my last wish, please, return me to EARTH, this reality's Earth, back to the location on the planet I teleported from, and give me the coordinates of the new Namek location."
"That seems like a loaded request, but I shall acquiesce, it is of no trouble to give both effects to you, your wish shall be granted." Jazz began to glow again and flicker in and out of sight as his body got ready for the transport.
Jazz turned to look at the elders. "…thank you for allowing me to use the dragon balls."
The elder Namekians looked on in slight confusion, then slight guilt. "You don't need to thank us." Elder Moori said, "We doubted you at first, but you did not grow angry. And your last wishes, it was to protect us, and come to our aid if need be. Truly, we thank you." He and the fellow elders bowed lightly. Jazz returned the favor and maintained that position until he disappeared from the Namekians' view.

Afterword:
Well, thanks for bearing with me. And I hope this chapter came out quick enough for you guys lol. For the namekian names, the origins for the names are Eska (like escargot), and Poda (Gastropoda: meaning stomach-foot, and the scientific name for the animal family snails belong to). If there's one thing I hope you all get curious about, it's about what will happen to Goku, remember, he still has a tail, he never lost it because he took Jazz to Korrin to get healed. This means no one (except for Jazz), know about Goku's transformation, which will definitely be a big surprise in a month.
