"W-w-why?!" Mark wheezed in pain and exhaustion.
They had finished the majority of Roshi's training for the day, Jazz had been forced into a 40kg turtle shell. And Mark into a 20kg one, safe to say, the added weights posed a challenge for both of them, despite that, they both earnestly trained their hardest and somehow kept up with the other trainees despite it being the first day.
Master Roshi had been annoyed when Mark asked Jazz about the old sage.
…
"So… who's that old geezer?" Hercule asked. Jazz noticed Roshi's ears twitch and quickly attempted to shut down the upstart.
He smacked Hercule on the head. "That's Muten Roshi! One of the greatest martial artists to ever live!"
"Oh? One of the greatest Martial Artists? Not… the Greatest?!" Roshi glared at Jazz, causing the boy to step back.
"S-sir?"
"You think you're tough because you went to the Southern Transformation school?"
"N-no…"
"Then what gives you the right to judge if I'm one of the greatest or the absolute Greatest!?"
Jazz noticed just then that PaoPao and Krillin started stifling their laughter while Chi-Chi shook her head and sighed. Goku for his part looked completely confused. Their varying expressions worried Jazz, but as he was about to say something, Mark stepped forward.
Hercule snorted, "geez old-timer, you don't need to blow a gasket, I'm sure you were tough during your time in the sun." He laughed, "you're probably pretty efficient with all your kung fu skills, but I'm pretty sure after more than 30 minutes we'd need you to get a cane for your back."
"Eh!? Did you just say Crane, you upstart!?" Roshi shouted. Before either could react, lightning shot out of Roshi's palms, zapping Jazz and Hercule into the air, he held them up for 10 seconds, then dropped them to the ground.
As they lay there twitching, he turned around. "GET UP!" He spoke with such command that Jazz rushed up. Hercule struggled to get up and looked up to see Roshi looking down on him. "I…said…GET UP!" Hercule leaped to his feet.
"Good, thanks for volunteering."
"Volunteering?" Jazz asked.
"For my brand new training regiment…"
…
"Why was Roshi so…" Jazz struggled to walk, even after resting for 2 hours. He felt as if Roshi had specifically trained them to the point of muscle degeneration, to the point that Hercule was still resting even now, and likely wouldn't wake up for hours more.
"Angry?" Krillin offered. "I mean, I don't fully know, but ever since PaoPao joined, he got really sensitive whenever someone just called him an old man or said a word that sounds like the word 'crane'."
Jazz winced at the word. "Oh jeez, that's crazy."
"The crazy thing is how quickly you recovered, is that another skill of the Southern School of Transformation?"
Jazz shook his head, "I wish." He laughed. He looked around and saw PaoPao meditating on top of the massive rock he had seen Krillin and Goku move earlier that day. "...Why is she on top of the rock?"
"She thinks meditating on it would give her the strength to lift it." Krillin laughed.
"Wait, she can't move it?"
"No, she can, she does a bit better than me." Krillin admitted, "But she's worse than Goku, she can't lift it completely like he does, and it makes her a bit upset."
Jazz shook his head ruefully, "Does she give you guys trouble over that?"
"No, actually, it's kinda weird, she's polite and nice to me and Goku, and talks to Chi-Chi a bit, but she mostly keeps to herself, and she gets this gloomy atmosphere, it can be hard to talk to her."
Jazz looked up at the meditating PaoPao.
"Hey! PaoPao! Krillin! Jazz!" Chi-Chi called out, "It's time for dinner!"
Krillin turned to walk towards the house. but stopped as he saw Jazz wasn't moving. "Jazz?" he asked.
"Ah, no, I'll catch up, I wanna try and catch up to PaoPao." Jazz began to slowly climb up the rock, ignoring the aching pain that racked his body.
"I'm honestly impressed with your efforts," PaoPao said when Jazz got up, "I heard that you went to the Southern Transformation School, they don't teach martial arts, so that means your development has been through your own personal growth and dedication. It's still slow, but I have a healthy understanding of your effort."
Jazz nodded in thanks and finally pulled up to sit cross-legged. Eventually, he opened his mouth, "so, what's up with Roshi?"
PaoPao giggled, "I may or may not have stoked his competitive spirit by comparing him to Shen and the Crane School."
"You convinced Roshi by comparing the Turtle School to the Crane School?!" Jazz asked in surprise.
"I thoroughly studied the history of Master Mutato and his two top disciples. They were the only survivors of the attack of the ancient Demon King, Piccolo. And their rivalry is supposedly legendary." PaoPao smiled, "The Crane Master often screamed and raved about how awful the Turtle Sage was. Though he'd also curse his little brother for leaving him high and dry." She laughed, "though, as interesting as his training had been, I believe the Turtle School's body development regiment will ultimately be more worth my while." She smirked at Jazz.
Jazz paused, "you stopped referring to yourself in the third person."
PaoPao laughed, "oh, that, I was forced to by my cruel sister and indifferent father."
Jazz widened his eyes in surprise. "So… the reason you were starving in the middle of the city?"
"I had been conquering Dojo after Dojo in the name of my clan, then assailants came and attacked me by surprise. I survived and escaped, but was too injured to defeat the Master of the Orrin Temple, whom I had gotten to agree to a challenge the day earlier. I found out, or, well, I was able to admit to myself, that my father sent the assassins."
"Your father tried to kill you?" Jazz made a complicated expression, he had no idea how to react.
"It's not too much of a big deal, I had always been my family's black sheep." She smiled, "but unfortunately for them, I grew much stronger than they ever could, and gained power outside of their imagination, so I took over, and here I am now."
Jazz nodded, "What did you do with them?"
PaoPao stared at Jazz blankly. "What do you think I should have done?"
Jazz blinked in surprise and paused. "I…" He began to seriously think, 'how would I feel if my mother and brother had wanted to kill me, or hired someone to kill me?' He sighed, "if it were me, I'd have been…crushed." He turned to look at PaoPao, "are you alright?"
"I am healthy." PaoPao shrugged. "As for my feelings on the matter? I haven't thought much about it. And I likely won't." She punched Jazz on the shoulder. "But enough about my feelings! You didn't answer my question! What should I have done?"
Jazz sighed, "you belong to a clan of assassins, but you yourself chose to change the clan's direction. Did you imprison them?" He braced for the worst.
PaoPao laughed, "I let them go."
"You what!?" Jazz was surprised.
"How low is your opinion of me?" PaoPao scowled. "I was livid when I first discovered my father's plan, and I existed under my sister's shadow for years. But after I defeated them, I just felt… tired."
Jazz looked at her quizzically, "tired?"
"Maybe it's because I was already used to the abuse and dehumanization, my rage over my father's attempts to kill me burned out quickly. I just felt…" she searched for the words, "sad, I was sad that this pathetic excuse for a man blamed a baby for his wife's death simply due to her birth. Sad that this baby's elder twin capitalized on the atmosphere within our household and flaunted her talents, and sad that the little baby grew up to be a young girl who still craved their affection, even now." She laughed, "that must make me pretty pathetic, right?"
Jazz shook his head, "I've never thought you were pathetic, in fact, to tell you the truth, I was super terrified the first time I met you, and also, I really, really hated your guts for being so rude."
"Oh wow, thanks."
"Yeah, but at the same time, I admired your strength, skill, and bravery, and honestly, I admire you even more now."
"I'm not weak for sparing my family?" PaoPao asked.
"No, you aren't." Jazz smiled, "you looked at yourself, realized you still loved them and did what felt right to you. Being true to yourself isn't cowardly. And honestly, fuck 'em." PaoPao giggled. "No, seriously though, they are massive wankers, and don't deserve your time or mercy. But you chose to spare them, both because of your love, and because you wanted to lead by example, right?"
PaoPao looked surprised. "What do you mean?"
"This was a clan of Assassins, what would it say to the people when their leader says the clan follows another path yet chooses the same old ways of their people? You had defeated your family, their deaths at that point would have been an execution, not the result of combat to the death."
PaoPao smiled wryly, "I'm not as calculating as you might think Jazz, but I will take your words as a compliment, as awkward as they were."
"Thanks!" Jazz made a face and got up as Goku and Krillin called out to him.
"No…" PaoPao muttered quietly, "thank you."
…
After dinner, it was almost sunset. Goku stood at the end of a massive clearing. 20 feet away, Jazz and Krillin stood, arms crossed. PaoPao and Chi-Chi were another 15 feet away from those two, standing back and looking on in curiosity and trepidation. Goku and Krillin had spent a long time talking about Goku's fearsome transformation. PaoPao thought it was an over-exaggeration, and Chi-Chi didn't think the transformation would be as scary and dangerous as they said.
Hercule and Miguel were 150 feet away, watching with binoculars.
"Are you sure we should be this far away?" Miguel asked.
"Jazz said it might be dangerous, so we should be as cautious as possible, besides, he said it might be a good idea for a non-martial artist to be as far away as possible."
"Then why are you here?"
"Uh...I'm here to protect you!" Hercule replied.
Miguel blushed, "th-thanks…"
Goku looked at the sky nervously, the mood was beginning to appear past the cover of clouds, he turned to Jazz. "I'm almost there, I feel like it's just a little bit more, and I can control it."
Jazz nodded, "remember, just as you see the moon, no matter what happens, grab your tail and squeeze, the feeling of weakness will cause you to calm down a little, then, slowly ease yourself into the transformation." Every time before, when they tried this, Goku would let go of control just at the last second, but each time, he'd be slightly more and more lucid, hopefully, tonight would be the night. The clouds parted, revealing the moon, and soon after, a hushed silence filled the air, followed by the sound of a beating heart.
Tension filled the air as PaoPao and Chi-Chi inched closer. They noticed immediately that something was different about Goku, his normally almost pure black irises and pupils now gleamed a solid red color, and his muscles seemed to pulse and ripple, as if someone was pumping a balloon full of air steadily, or as if, his entire body pulsed to the beat of his heart. Jazz watched as Goku's face twisted into concentration, and nodded as Goku clenched his tail. The sound of the heartbeat grew subdued, yet steady.
"I…" Goku began, "I can… I can control!" He grew in size rapidly, dwarfing the group severely.
Chi-Chi watched in shock as the giant monkey grew to 50 feet tall. "Th-that's… that's Goku?!" She remembered how Goku would be hesitant when she or PaoPao asked about the Oozaru, he didn't remember much about transforming but knew it was dangerous. She felt a great amount of fear, but at the same time, she couldn't help but stand there. She remembered how sad Goku looked when he explained that he killed his grandpa accidentally while as this monster, and knew that he was training really hard to control it. "No matter what happens, we're here for you, GOKU!" Chi-Chi shouted.
PaoPao was excited. 'Amazing! This power, this size, someone like him could be truly valuable, no matter what, I must recruit him.' She glanced over at the frightened but resolute Chi-Chi, "honestly, I'm surprised, I was certain a little girl like you would run with her tail between her legs."
Chi-Chi scowled, "I won't run away, not from the boy I like! Besides, it's not so bad… Dad's back is just as hairy!"
Despite himself, Jazz couldn't help but snort in humor. He looked up at the giant ape, which simply stood still as it stared at the moon. "Goku?" The ape still clenched its tail, a testament to Goku's willpower. "GOKU!" Jazz shouted, even louder. The great ape flinched and turned its head slowly towards them. They waited with bated breaths and watched as the Oozaru brought its hands to its knees and sat down.
"Goku, are you in there buddy?" Krillin piped up hesitantly.
After a few seconds, the Oozaru nodded.
"Wait! Really, you… you understand me Goku?!" Krillin asked excitedly. "Goku! You did it!" He began jumping up and down in joy.
Jazz smiled brightly as he saw Krillin tackle Goku's knee, he was too small to wrap his arms around the creature's massive legs, heck, he was barely big enough to wrap his arms around Goku's tail. "Good job." Jazz smiled, in earlier attempts, both he and Krillin gave Goku some of their ki after having Goku fully exhaust himself. Today, under Goku's request, they simply allowed him to try and control the form without any outside interference. "You did it, you really did it. The Oozaru is no longer your monster, it's simply a part of your power."
The Oozaru grinned and opened its mouth. "...Jaaaassssshhhhpaaah, q-q-Qr-eeeeellliooonnnnnn, Dao...Dao,"
"Did… did he just try to say your names?!" Hercule began incredulously.
Jazz was shocked as well, the pronunciation was awful and guttural, but he could understand. "Good job Goku!"
Chi-Chi looked glum, then perked up as Goku spoke again, "Ch...Ch-Chi...Chi-Chi…"
"How come he can pronounce her name right?!" Krillin asked.
"Jaw shape," PaoPao suggested, "he likely will have issues pronouncing most words with such a non-human mouth, maybe he'll eventually get the hang of it." She looked up, "hey! Goku! Can you move like you were training?!"
To their surprise, despite how slow and lumbering Goku's movements and speech seemed up till then, his martial arts were as skillful and quick as they'd always been.
"Holy-!" Krillin shouted, "he's still as fast!?"
Goku seemed to be enjoying himself, they heard his laughter fill their ears and watched in horror as Goku launched a barrage of mouth beams into the air, which exploded like fireworks.
'...Any of those blasts could destroy the moon, and maybe a lot of the planet…' Jazz gulped, "Hey! Goku, calm down! We don't want to destroy the island, right?"
Oozaru Goku immediately put his hand to the back of his head. "...Ssshhhuurreeeey…"
"It's okay Goku! Just be more careful next time, okay!" Jazz yelped when Goku picked him up with his dexterous fingers.
"Jasshh, th-thanch… yoooouuuuu!" His voice echoed across the island.
"You're welcome buddy, but… please put me down… you'll crush me…" Jazz breathed as much as his lungs would allow when Goku released him from his crushing hug.
"So...what now?" PaoPao looked at Goku, admiration in her eyes. "This form is obviously very powerful, will any of you test its strength?"
Jazz laughed, "Goku's power grows ten times over, hell no am I touching that."
"How can you tell?" PaoPao asked curiously, I can get a vague impression of his ki if I touch him, but otherwise, I can't put an exact number on it."
"I picked up a trick or two." Jazz replied slyly.
"Oh well, aren't you being cryptic." PaoPao rolled her eyes, "and here I was, thinking we were close."
"Hey, you didn't tell me you were the heiress to a clan of assassins when we first met, and the people I learned this ability from are extremely secretive, I can't betray their trust."
PaoPao nodded, "…fine. If they are that important." She looked away.
Jazz snorted, "I didn't say I wouldn't teach you, jeez."
PaoPao recovered surprisingly quickly after hearing Jazz's words, in fact, she reacted almost instantly. "Really?" Her eyes seemed to gleam with excitement, causing Jazz to back up and bust into a fit of giggles.
They continued to test Goku's cognitive functions and watched in surprise as he began to acclimate to his new size quickly. He could emulate movements with expert control and movement; in many ways, the great ape's arms, legs, and fingers were far more dexterous than that of a normal ape or monkey. Jazz chalked it up to Goku's higher intelligence than the average monkey or ape and a well-developed sentient, sapient, brain. With Goku complying with Jazz's requests to practice the full range of movement he could, Krillin, Chi-Chi, and even PaoPao began to ask him to do silly requests.
"Stick your tongue out and blow raspberries!"
"Do a handstand!"
"Do a barrel roll!"
The ground shook as he complied with their requests.
"That looks kind of fun!"
"W-wait! Miguel?! I have to protect you!"
Eventually, even Mark and Miguel approached the giant monkey.
"Goku! Can you pick us up? I want to see the whole island!"
Goku kneeled and lowered his hand, allowing the group to climb into it, he then brought his hand to his shoulder then his head. Krillin and PaoPao were on his right shoulder, Jazz and Hercule sat on his left shoulder, or Jazz sat while Hercule gripped Goku's fur with all the force his tired arms could muster, while Chi-Chi and Miguel sat on Goku's head and nestles themselves in his large mane of hair.
"WOW!" Chi-Chi and Miguel clapped their hands in excitement as Goku took a tour of the island. By this point, many of the islanders woke up. They were shocked and frightened at first, but soon recognized the giant monkey as Goku, if only due to the last month's activities. Also, it was less scary when the giant monkey seemed to be humming a song.
They made their trek from one end of the island to the other, once thoroughly satisfied, Goku let the other children down and sat as well. They began to watch the ocean.
"So…" Krillin began, "what should we do now?"
PaoPao contemplated, "I remember you telling me that you went to a fabled Devil's Castle to rescue the 'Sleeping Princess', and that the island periodically appeared and disappeared every full moon, perhaps we should explore it?"
Krillin nodded, "sure, but what if that Lucifer guy shows up again? I know Goku beat him last time, but…"
"Well," Jazz began, laughing, "Goku beat him as an Oozaru, and he's an Oozaru now, and he's been training for literally 6 months, 5 months since that incident. Goku's way stronger than before, and so are we."
Krillin nodded, "Yeah! You're right!"
"Wait… Devil's Castle?!" Hercule asked, "isn't that kind of scary…"
"I want to see it!" Miguel shouted excitedly, "this is such a fun adventure already!"
And so, it was decided almost unanimously to go to the island. Goku, despite being an Oozaru, was a terrifyingly fast swimmer.
"This is a fantastic backstroke." Jazz said quietly.
"What?!" Krillin attempted to yell against the wind generated by Goku's rapid movements. He was currently swimming backstroke, with the kids on his chest.
Jazz would periodically launch an arrow of fire into the air, pointing in the direction of the island and helping Goku keep on course.
They came upon the island relatively quickly and spotted a surprising someone.
"Yamcha?!"
The former desert banding turned to look at the group. "Oh? Hey guys! What are you doing wha?!" He stared at the massive Oozaru. "G-Goku?!"
The Oozaru, for its part, waved at Yamcha, who nervously waved back. "Y…Yaaammmoooochaaah…"
"He can talk?!" Yamcha turned to the others. "H-huh? Ox-King's daughter, and…" He looked to PaoPao, "who are you?" He then turned to Miguel and Mark, who seemed to
"I guess there's a lot we need to catch up on." Jazz laughed, "I've been helping Goku control the Oozaru alongside Krillin, and this is PaoPao. She's been training under Roshi alongside Chi-Chi for about a month now as well." He then turned to Hercule and Miguel, "this is Mark, he goes by the names of Hercule or Mr. Satan."
"Ah!" Yamcha exclaimed, "that professional wrestler and boxer."
Hercule puffed up in pride. "That's right!"
"You're that idiot who said you were the world's strongest guy after winning your second Super Heavy-weight championship belt."
"I-Idiot?!" Hercule looked pissed, "look man, I do…" he paused, "who are you anyway?"
Jazz sighed, "he's likely stronger than you, Hercule."
"What? Really?"
Jazz turned to Yamcha, then looked around. The large rocks near the shore they landed on were full of cracks and the imprints of fists, fingers, palms, and feet. Yamcha was barefoot and his skin glistened slightly with sweat in the moonlight. His hair was shorter, but not all the way short like it had been in the original, it reached down to just at the shoulders, instead of down to his lower back. He also had a few scars on his arms and legs. "You've… you've been training a while."
Yamcha smiled wryly. "Whenever Bulma is at school, I go out into the wilderness to train, and during the full moon, I return to this island."
"Why?" Krillin asked, "you were in really bad shape before Jazz gave you that bean-thing."
Yamcha smiled wryly, "the first time was simply to conquer my fear, but I noticed, those Oni are still on the island, and they leave to terrorize the immediate area."
"What?!" Jazz was confused. "But, how?"
"I don't know, I searched every inch of the castle, but they seem to just pop out of nowhere. But the weird part is that Lucifer's barrier returned."
Jazz grew worried at those words. They believed that Lucifer had been annihilated by Goku's blasts, but they didn't check completely. 'We did destroy the cannon, and the crystal though, right?'
"Maybe we should investigate that barrier, you weren't able to break it?" She asked Yamcha.
"I tried, but it requires an equal amount of magic and ki-based strike."
"In that case, I can help." Jazz said quickly.
"In that case, I can help," PaoPao said at almost the exact same time.
They looked at each other in surprise. "You know magic Jazz?"
Jazz smiled ruefully, and nodded, "yes. How did you learn magic?"
"An old witch," PaoPao began, "she taught me witchcraft, necromancy, and talisman manipulation. What about you?"
Jazz sighed, "a wizard tried to kill me and take me over, he failed… and I got his magic."
"Pft, you almost got killed?" PaoPao laughed, "you were trained by me, weren't you?"
"Hey, I did my best, and I won in the end technically anyway!" Jazz sighed, "Besides, unlike you, I don't need any talismans to do magic, you saw my flame arrows, right? I can do so much more than just that."
"Let's make a contest of it then." PaoPao smirked, "whoever breaks the barrier quickest wins." She turned to Goku, if you could, don't come up yet, you'd probably win through sheer power."
…
As they made their way up the mountain, they had been assailed by multiple Oni, but now, all the fighters were stronger than any of them had been on an individual level 5 months ago. With even Hercule being stronger than the Goku of 5 months ago, the Oni stood little chance, the only issue was how many there were. During this time, Jazz and PaoPao began to compete to defeat more oni.
'He's gotten a better sense of fighting and situational awareness.' PaoPao observed Jazz in the peripheral vision. He was fast, and his movements vicious and concise. Each strike was meant to disable or knock out the opponent, and whenever too many enemies would surround him, he'd use some flames to drive them back, retreat to an advantageous vantage point, or knock away the closest enemies. If that was not enough, he would transform liberally. When turned into a small animal, he'd still contain a superhuman speed, which combined well with the form's natural nimbleness. 'To make things even more interesting, he can utilize the magic flames and ki seamlessly, even as he transforms. So there is no room for the enemy to breathe.'
Just as PaoPao observed Jazz, he observed her. She was fast, strong, and devastating with her sword. 'Is it a magic weapon? Or did she run ki through it…' Her blade cut through the weapons of the Oni with ease, weapons made of steel, iron, and stone, yet she moved the blade as if it was light as a feather. She leaped from one end of the battlefield to the other, seemingly dancing to her own rhythm. Eventually, the enemy began to gather around her, and as they gathered at one point, she'd toss a talisman their way. The talisman would explode in light, knocking away Oni, then she'd swing her blade, and crescent moon-shaped energy rained down from the sky, cutting down the enemy mercilessly. Jazz had no trouble admitting she was stronger than him. He then turned to look at Krillin and Yamcha. Krillin fought with confidence and ease, despite still wearing the weighted clothing and turtle shell, no Oni was his match, Jazz observed with interest whenever Krillin struck from above, taking advantage of his current weight to crush group defense. He used grabs, throws, punches, and kicks with expert precision and textbook mastery.
Yamcha on the other hand fought with a wild and savage style. Every strike of his was fatal and he moved with precision and accuracy. The enemy's movements seemed as clear as a book to him; he dodged their bullets and swings as if they were participating in a bloody dance. Jazz noted with interest that Yamcha had created various techniques in a similar vein to his Wolf-Fang-Fist.
"Viper Strike!" Two rapid kicks struck the enemy in the neck, snapping it.
"Howling Gale!" Yamcha leaped into the air with a vicious backflip kick, decapitating another demon.
"Hawk's Dive!" Yamcha, on the zenith of his leap, flipped in the air and began a diving kick towards an unfortunate demon, his attack was two pronged. Just before he struck the enemy, he curled his leg and knee'd the Oni in the face, then struck with a vicious bicycle kick. He landed with a roll and took out a sword.
Chi-Chi fought with a massive poleaxe. She utilized sweeping spins and kicks, using the weapon to vault over and sweep past enemies. Some of the Oni, considering her the weakest link, changed forward, attempting to overwhelm her. Just as 20 of the monsters attempted to grab her, she extended a palm. "Hiyaaaah!" A mass of ki formed in her palm and detonated releasing a short-range, wide area concussive blast of ki that blew the Oni away.
Hercule hung back, any enemies that strayed near him were knocked out in single heavy blows, but he did his best to keep himself and Miguel out of sight. He looked at the other fighters around his age with awe, and also with a pang of regret. Had he really been training as hard as he could? If he was as strong as them, perhaps his master wouldn't have died.
"You've got this Mark!" Miguel cheered him on from behind, causing a rush of adrenaline to fill the young fighter's veins. So what if he's not strong yet, he's still young, he has time! And… and there's a girl who seems to really like him, and he likes her, so there's nothing to worry about."
"I got this!" He rushed towards one of the bigger Oni. "Heeeaaargh!" He began a series of punches and kicks, "DYNAMIC…MESS 'EM UP PUNCHES!" The monster flopped like a rag doll under the weight of his heavy blows. Hercule wound up a massive haymaker, and slammed his fist into the monster's face, launching it into a crowd of Oni, bowling them over. "I'LL BE THE WORLD'S BEST, YOU GOT THAT?! ALL OF YOU!" He screamed into the air and joined the fray.
Miguel cheered him on from behind, her heart a flutter. Miguel wasn't one to really have much opinion on stuff like fate, she wanted to be a singer because her dad said she had a beautiful voice and she wanted to try. She thought it was great that her Aunty worked in music, but she believed she could have succeeded by herself as well. Even the first time she met Jazz or Hercule, they were both boys she thought were cute, but otherwise, she just liked meeting new people and loved to bond with others, it sometimes got very lonely on the farm with only her dad, and even in the city, she never could make friends due to her new position.
For that reason, she didn't know how to deal with the open affection Hercule threw her way, she was embarrassed and flustered at first, gratified and flattered next, but ultimately unable to fully determine whether she liked him back or not. He was tough and mostly dependable, but sometimes he'd get carried away or arrogant, even then, he was always nice and kind, and the image of his strong back when he protected her and her Aunty from those disgruntled guards left a strong impression in her heart. Looking at him now, defending her, even as he was probably the most scared amongst them all, made her feel warm. 'I believe you can be the strongest!' She clenched her fists.

Afterword:
Hello Hello, it's here, it's now, new chapter time. Goku, by weight of will, finally conquered his Oozaru, at least, somewhat, he's lucid now, and sorta like Vegeta, he can talk, difference being, he's not fully able to yet. Eventually Goku will fully master the Oozaru, but these changes will have lasting impacts unto the rest of the series.
As for everyone's development? Well, they're growing stronger, together and separate. Tune in to see how far they go!
I'm sure a few of you are surprised about what I did with Yamcha however. I felt, perhaps his injuries from this version of Sleeping Princess could serve as his impetus to train seriously, and I was always a fan of his techniques copying animals. Apparently the Wolf-Fang fist is a ki based technique, so having Yamcha utilize more techniques like that may prove ultimately useful for our former scar-faced bandit.
Thanks for reading this Chapter!
