'This kid is insane!' Korin dodged left and right as quickly as he could, dodging, weaving, ducking, and diving to get out of Goku's way, he had stopped bothering attempting to fully block or knock away Goku, as at this point the boy would either ignore or power through his attacks. They had been fighting for over 14 hours straight, with Goku pacing himself more and more as their dance continued. Eventually, Korin slipped over the sweat that dripped on the floor. "Oh no!"

Goku's hand struck down like lightning, but instead of striking, he caught Korin, keeping the elderly cat steady.

Korin breathed hard. "Why did you stop?" He asked suddenly.

"Cause…" Goku began, "you were about to fall."

Korin grinned, "you've been holding back for a while now, why?"

"I… I wanted to train some more." Goku admitted.

"I see." Korin nodded. "Well, I think you've done it." He sighed, "you were stronger than me before you came unto my tower, but now your skills match your power. You may remove your weights and mask."

Goku removed them, then marveled at the feeling of weightlessness. At the same time, Korin noticed a visible aura beginning to form around his body slightly.

"My goodness." The cat began.

"What?" Goku asked.

"Nothing, just eat right, sleep well, and keep improving yourself."

"That sounds like turtle gramps!" Goku laughed.

"Yes, I learned that phrase from him." Korin laughed in agreement. "Take some beans down for your injured allies, you'll all need it."

Goku grinned widely. "Thank you for your training!" He backflipped off the tower. "Kintoun!" The golden cloud flew around him, surrounding him and eventually encircling him. He grabbed onto the cloud and sped his way down to the forest.

As he disappeared to the ground, Korin looked above him. "I was going to train him either way Kami, but why did you want to institute such harsh training?"

'I… I foresee troubling times.'

"Could it be?!" Korin began.

'Yes… my other half.'

Goku rushed down to the ground, jumping from Kintoun, he landed gracefully.

"Hey!" Upa ran to Goku. "You're back! And your wounds!"

Goku smiled and hugged Upa. "I got training from Korin! He's really strong!"

"W-wow!"

The Red Ribbon Soldier grunted, "you look better, don't suppose…" Before he could finish, Goku had dashed to the first soldier. He slipped a bean into their mouth, and they all watched in shock as the soldier stood up, his wounds disappearing like dirt being washed off. Goku moved to each soldier and Tsukimi ninja, handing them a blessed bean.

"I can't… holy crap." The soldier sat back. "What the heck was that?!"

Goku held a bean in front of him. "It's a Senzu bean! If you eat one, it feeds you and heals all your wounds!"

The soldier looked at the bean with shock and awe. "And you can grow these?!"

Goku shrugged. The soldier nodded, pocketing the bean.

"Goku!" Upa shouted, worried, "some bad guys from the Red Ribbon Army are coming!"

Goku nodded, "no problem, I'll beat them! Then I'll use the dragon balls and bring back your dad! I promise!"

"Really?!" Upa's eyes moistened.

The Red Ribbon Soldier looked away, eyes darkening.

"Yeah! I'll bring back all the good guys Mercenary Tao killed!"

"Thanks, Goku!" Upa hugged the boy.

"No problem! Now! Hold on! I've got to finish things up."

"What do we do with this bastard?" A king's army soldier, recovered, pointed his gun at the Red Ribbon Army soldier. "He and his men are the reason we're in this mess!"

Goku spoke slowly, "He's, not the worst guy, and he helped you guys, and he helped me."

"But!" The soldier trembled. The Red Ribbon man, for what it was worth, simply raised his arms up and behind his head. This caused the soldier to sneer. "What… you're changed now? You're nothing but a group of terrorists, murderers, and thugs! Why s-" He was stopped by the sergeant.

"Calm down…" The sergeant turned to the Red Ribbon Army soldier, "what's your name."

"...Reuben." The soldier muttered.

"Well, Reuben, thank you for saving the men that you did, I'll put in a good word for you."

Sighing, the soldier held up his hands, allowing the soldiers of the king to chain him up.

Upa looked on, slightly sad.

"Can't we let him go?" Goku asked.

The sergeant scoffed, "I wish, but he was part of the enemy army, willing or not, good or not, he's a criminal." He turned to Goku, "you've already done so much for us kid, so I don't know how to thank you."

"Where's the Red Ribbon Army?" Goku asked suddenly.

"Well… they are at th-" Before he could continue, the sound of plane engines filled the sky. The soldiers winced, scrambling for their weapons, Goku however grinned. He hopped onto his golden cloud. "Alright, Nimbus!" He zoomed towards the Red Ribbon Army.

A squadron of Red Ribbon Army Soldiers flew in formation towards the Korin forest. They were led by Colonel Violet, who commanded both her squadron and the remaining members of the defunct Silver, Blue, and White Squadrons. Commander Red had made her orders explicitly clear.

"Since you were capable enough to grab the dragon ball, even after all the sacrifices your crew faced under the combined strike of Tsukimi and the King's Army, you should be capable of taking out the stragglers and useless allies that remain in at that forested area. We've observed the location for three days now and the dragon balls have not moved. We believe this means Mercenary Tao and the brat Son Goku neutralized each other, this is the perfect time to collect the Dragon Balls. There should be four total, collect the balls, or don't come back."

Violet narrowed her eyes. "This is Colonel Violet, I need my squads to report status."

"This is Col… this is Silver-01," The former Colonel Silver had been given one chance to redeem himself, and planned to capitalize on it, "the Silver Squad is 10-4 and ready to strike."

"This is Blue-01, Blue Squad is A-ok…"

"This is White-01 White Squad is direct on orders, status ok."

"Good." Violet sighed, sweat dripping from her face. "We're going to strike in low and fast, the boy rides a contraption of some sort capable of flight standards between Mach 1.5 or more based on discrepancies in flight patterns and travel times, as well as in video reporting. They also have a large blunt pole capable of stretching at least 500 meters in less than a second. This pole is capable of deflecting bullets, harder than steel, and heat resistant. The boy himself is immune to small arms fire, and anything smaller than our anti-armor rounds and shells are only capable of small scratches."

"What the hell is he? A comic book superhero?" A soldier asked on the radio.

"No chatter on this channel." Violet quipped shortly, "I'm going to be honest with you all, I think this mission's FUBAR from the get-go, but we have to try, you all know why you joined, and if that reason isn't worth your life, we pull out, now." Silence filled the radio. "Alright, idiots," she smiled, "let's show this brat the power of the most evil army in the world."

The sound of whirring filled the air as several gun barrels turned to aim towards a rapidly approaching object leaving behind a golden trail. Then the whirring was replaced with rapid clinks, pings, and booms as hundreds of armor-piercing rounds fired off into the air.

They watched as the boy on the cloud took evasive maneuvers, charging straight up into the air and bobbing and weaving with unnatural grace and control, it was like watching the precise 3-dimensional movements of a dragonfly, but sped up beyond natural possibilities. Just looking at the display of agility in the air made Colonel Violet slightly nauseous. Gritting her teeth, she pressed on the lever and coaxed as much of the plane's power as she could as she gave chase to Goku. The boy began to take more evasive maneuvers, ducking, diving, rising, spinning. Despite feeling their planes shake apart, the pilots of the Red Ribbon Army gave chase with as much force and ferocity as they could muster. All of a sudden, Goku disappeared from their sight.

"Blue-01 to Colonel Violet, I've lost visual!" The leader of Blue Squadron shouted in panic.

"This is White-01, radar determines that the dragon balls haven't moved, the boy doesn't have them on him."

"This is Silver-01, I found him…"

The Colonel turned to the former Colonel's ship, widening her eyes at what she saw. The boy, Goku, was standing on Colonel silver's plane, he flew at nearly Mach speed, yet the kid was capable of balancing on the plane with little issue.

The boy opened his mouth and shouted at the top of his lungs. "NOW! I WANT YOU BAD GUYS TO LISTEN UP! STOP THE PLANES AND GET ARRESTED! OR I'M GOING TO BEAT YOU ALL UP!"

"How did we hear that?!" Another soldier broke protocol and spoke on the group channel, but, Violet ignored the breach in decorum.

'He's telling us to surrender? Is it because he's still a brat?! Naive!'

Silver's thoughts likely echoed Colonel Violet's as he spun his plane sharply, flinging Goku off like a slingshot. The planes flew past the falling Goku, getting as much air superiority as possible before coming down to dive and shoot at him.

Goku landed on his cloud and nodded. "Okay…" he muttered quietly, taking out his staff.

Silver felt the hair on his neck rise up and subconsciously dived out of the way as he screamed unto the comms, "EVASIVE MANEUVERS! NOW!"

Only a few pilots, including Violet, were quick enough to heed the warning. The other pilots were either too slow or too intently focused to realize that Goku had extended his power pole. With a swing of the massive object, 90% of their combined squadron was annihilated.

"Goddamn monster!" White-01 openly cursed on the radio, "500 meters at the least, but that seems to be close to the upper limits? That was literally a mile and a half long! Our boss sent us to die!" Panic began to fill the radio as the 6 pilots left scrambled in the air. Goku for his part contracted his bo-staff and flew towards them.

"Shut up!" The radio was silenced by the former Colonel of the Silver Squadron. "We knew our mission, this boy, by himself, collected 4 dragon balls when we only collected 2. Save your complaints for the grave. Blue-01, White-01, I'm diving in, cover my 6, and keep him from getting too close. Violet-01, collect the dragon balls, Colonel Violet, give us as wide a path of entry as possible." He sighed as he spoke again, "Silver-04."

A quiet voice filled the silence, "yes… Colonel."

"I'm not a Colonel anymore. Silver-04, assist Violet-01; if you both determine you can't collect the dragon balls…" Silver did not continue.

"Yes, for the glory of the Red Ribbon Army, I'll take out any hostiles around the balls, at the cost of my life sir!" There was no mistaking the audible trembling in the voice.

Violet closed her eyes, the majority of Red Ribbon Army officers were orphans picked up from the street, they grew up, trained, and fought together, dying like this felt… unfair. She turned to Silver, "it's not like you to be so sacrificial, Mr. Silver, wasn't this your chance to retain your rank? Rather, wouldn't it be better to live? Rather than die, I'd rather have a jail sentence, wouldn't you?"

Silver's laugh filled the radio, "who says I'm dying." He dived towards Goku, "follow the plan."

The planes went into formation, Silver was first, with Blue-01 one click behind him, and White-01 2 clicks behind Blue-01. Silver opened fire first, then dived out of the way as Goku's staff carved a path in the air that his plane used to be on. Spinning into a roll, he stayed low until he heard Violet's warning.

"He's coming in hot from your left!" Violet warned

Silver turned and grit his teeth, 'I don't have the time to dodge.' Before Goku could slam into the ship, the sound of bullets whizzing by caught the boy's attention. White-01 was diving and firing bullets at the boy, which caused him to begin to peal out of the way. Silver rose into the air, separating himself from Goku.

"Meanie!" Goku charged towards White-01, who tried to do an about-face turn. Before the kid could destroy his ship, Blue-01 swooped in, firing shots directly into the boy.

"This is Blue-01! I've hit the target!"

"YEAH!" White-01 screamed in jubilation, "we've won!"

Colonel Violet breathed a sigh of relief. Then flinched as she saw the cloud rush down to the boy. "Don't celebrate yet!" She shouted, "he's up and alive!"

Before they could say anything more, the end of the staff pierced Colonel Violet's cockpit, destroying her plane's controls. 'I'm 5-6 miles above him!' Violet flinched in shock, then cursed as the cockpit's warning signals blared and the plane fell from the sky. Seeing no other choice, she activated her parachute she activated it but was struck by a piece of debris, knocking her out as her unconscious form rapidly sailed to the ground.

"We've lost Colonel Violet!" Blue-01 shouted.

"Keep your eyes on the Bogey!" White-01 shouted a warning, but it was too late, Goku slammed into the plane's left wing, destroying it. "Blue-01! Deploy your parachute!" But it was too late, Blue-01 was too close to the ground after diving, so the destroyed wing sent him hurtling rapidly into the Earth. An explosive crash touched their vision.

Silver gritted his teeth, activating the radio, "Violet-01! Silver-04! Status! Have you recovered the dragon balls?!" Silence answered him back. "DAAAAAMMIT!" Silver cursed profusely on the radio.

"C-colonel…" White-01 began, "It's just us...o-orders?"

Silver turned to look at Goku, flying in the air. Hate filled the man's eyes. "Land the plane."

"B-but, sir?!"

"Land the plane, we aren't going to live otherwise." He breathed out a frustrated sigh, if he was ten years younger, he might have even cried from frustration. "Why the hell did this monster come to us now… why when we were so close, why not before, when I was a kidnapped orphan, where was the fucking government then?!" He pounded the cockpit but directed his plane to land.

White-01 said nothing, but many of his thoughts echoed the former Colonel's.

"This is weird." Bulma began, "the dragon balls haven't moved from either of their spots, and the 7th is still missing, and it's been three days."

After making the preparations for Launch's plan, the group happened upon General Blue's abandoned Red Ribbon Army base. Bulma put together a massive airship capable of carrying the entire group and Launch collected as many weapons and explosives as they could whilst the others collected documents and data from the computers, and supplies from the facilities. They planned to storm the Red Ribbon Army Base in their flying fortress, then infiltrate the main building to attack then capture Commander Red. With him captured, the rest of the Army would have no choice but to flee or surrender.

"Could someone have destroyed it?" Krillin asked.

"Probably not, I don't think I've seen anything destroy a dragon ball, in fact, it survived Roshi's Kamehameha!" Chi-Chi replied.

"Then someone's hiding the dragon ball, someone with a radar nearly as sophisticated as mine. It's not the Red Ribbon Army, or they'd have hidden the other two." Bulma began.

"Perhaps it's those three who attacked you guys when Goku left to heal Jazz?" Chi-Chi said. "What were their names? The Pillow Patrol? The Puff-Puff Platoon?"

"The Pilaf Gang?" Yamcha offered.

"Oh?! Those losers!" Bulma snapped her finger, "wow… yeah, it's been a while." She sighed, "so… if I were them, I'd hide the dragon ball, and only attack once I'm good and ready." She turned to Launch. "So, what if we make them think we're vulnerable?"

"Hmm?" Launch asked suddenly.

"We collect the two dragon balls, but report that we've been heavily injured and have moved to a location for rest. Somewhere remote, so they won't be scared of attacking, then, when they arrive, we jump them, yoink the dragon ball, and done!"

Blonde Launch smirked." I like your plan kid! It's hon…" she began to sneeze, "AAAACHOOO!"

Blue-haired Launch blinked. "Ummm… I… I remember my Blonde me's plan, do you want me to switch back?"

'Come on kid!' Blonde Launch shouted in the Blue-haired's mind. 'You can do this, live a little!'

"I don't like fighting though," Blue Launch sighed, tickling her nose and causing her to sneeze again.

"Damned girl scout." Blonde Launch chuckled, "doesn't know how to have any fun at all."

"Wait?" Roshi asked, gulping. "You remember things when you switch now?"

"Yeah, yeah I do, and I've got somethings to say you old fucking pervert!"

"Heeeeiiiiiiiii!" Roshi squealed in fear.

Colonel Violet awoke with a start. She was tied down, but not gagged, and surrounding her were men and women of the King's Army and Tsukimi ninja. "Damn…" she sighed, "it's over."

"Damnit! You traitor!" Silver shouted angrily, "you healed him? He was going to die! Now we're doomed!"

"You were coming to clean up the rest of us after Tao already finished my squadron off!" Reuben glared at Silver angrily, "I did what I had to in order to survive!"

The 5 remaining members of the attack squadron tasked with capturing all 4 dragon balls had been tied up. Violet had been in the worst shape, some parts of her destroyed plane had cut a nasty gash on her head and she lost consciousness, first aid from Reuben saved her life, though she wasn't very thankful or appreciative.

The leader of the remaining members of the platoon of Tsukimi ninja noted with interest at the interaction between the female officer and the turn-coat medic.

"And so you doomed us?" Silver growled. "Commander Red will…"

"Commander Red is a nonfactor." The Sergeant of the King's Army calmly interrupted. "In case you haven't noticed, this boy…" he pointed at Goku, who was currently demolition a freshly cooked deer carcass, "flew beyond Mach speed, was capable of striking you accurately from miles on end, and resisted armor-piercing rounds. There is little, save for high yield explosives and nuclear devices that could harm him, and nothing currently on the planet that can both catch up to him in speed and deal with his agility in the air."

Silver growled, "yet the boy was on the cusp of dying, and so were you." He smirked as he looked at Reuben. After applying first aid, Reuben had been tied up and placed in a different area, not close enough to be possibly harmed. While he wasn't as strictly watched, he was definitely still a prisoner. "You're their prisoner, did they even thank you for saving them?"

"What is the Red Ribbon Army's law when it comes to a third party? Be it villagers, travelers, merchants, young, old, sick, healthy, it doesn't matter, they are simply both not Red Ribbon Army, yet not explicitly our enemy." Reuben replied simply.

Silver did not answer.

A quiet voice spoke up, "There are no third parties, anyone we interact with before we achieve our goal is an enemy, young or old, sick or healthy, family members, lovers, old friends, if they are not Red Ribbon Army, the Death Penalty…" A young woman spoke. Silver stared at her angrily, but he then looked down. "This was indoctrinated in us for years…"

One of the King's Army soldiers gritted his teeth, "you bastards killed my wife and daughter! Our village had been forced into slavery to catch your Dragon Ball, then when you found it, you murdered them and burned their bodies! So we couldn't even recognize them to bury! You demons don't deserve an ounce of mercy, but because we… because I am not you, I will not pull the trigger. No… I'll let you face the law, let what you fucking deserve come to fruition… you think your lives are sad?" He spits on the ground. "Then don't fucking spread the misery."

Colonel Violet sighed, "so… what happens now?"

"You are under arrest, and will face trial." The Sergeant began, "luckily for you, Reuben here requested leniency, so you likely won't face the electric chair, a firing squad, or a lethal injection. But that doesn't mean you won't escape a life sentence."

As the Red Ribbon Army soldiers gathered amongst themselves, Goku finished his meal and walked over to Upa.

"Thanks for guarding the dragon balls!" He picked up the four and put them into a sack. "I'm going to go beat up those Red Ribbon Guys now."

"Good luck Goku!" Upa shouted.

The soldiers saluted him, and the ninjas bowed. Goku simply grinned as the cloud rocketed off towards the enemy's base.

Commander Red sat down against his chair. "Is it over?"

They had listened in on the radio chatter from the planes, the second Goku had annihilated 54 planes in a single powerful staff swing, they realized their venture was doomed, now, the Radar showed that Goku was rapidly heading towards them.

Staff Officer Black shook his head, "we can regroup and collect the dragon balls again, we'll have to do it slower this time, however. Luckily, we still have a few squadrons with us, it will be quiet, but, especially with Dr. Gero's help, we'll rebuild.

"DAMMIT!" Red slammed his fist on the table, "we spent years researching the dragon balls, I spent billions of Zeni determining whether or not this venture would work! If not for a year ago, we wouldn't have been able to fully confirm the dragon balls' existence! But now… because of this brat… my wish!"

Black closed his eyes, "I understand sir, but fret not, w-"

"Am I going to be short forever!?" Red lamented.

"W-what?!" Staff Officer Black stuttered, "s-sir, please… don't tell me your plan was to use the dragon balls to grow taller!"

"You don't understand! You're over 6 feet tall! Short guys like me are never lucky with the ladies! Didn't you see?! When I sent Violet on the missions, she didn't smile at me, even when I winked!"

Staff Officer Black's eyes widened. "No… you can't be serious, sir, hundreds, thousands of our men are dead. You sent them on suicide missions despite knowing of the dangers of the World Government and Tsukumi, billions of Zeni on Mercenary Tao and the Crane School, our troops are spread thin and we are at the most vulnerable we've been in a decade. If the king's army arrived now, we'd be crushed. You mean to tell me, we risked everything, and lost everything, just so that you'd be tall? Our men believed in a cause!" He raised his fist a smashed it down on Commander Red's face.

"W-what?!" Red groaned in pain, struggling to get up.

Black cracked his knuckles, "I was just going to shoot you, but I'm going to beat you to death instead, clench your teeth…"

The ground rocked around them, and an alarm began blaring all across the station.

"ATTENTION! ATTENTION! WE'RE UNDER ATTACK! AN ENEMY DROPPED BOMBS AND MUNITIONS UPON OUR NORTHERN, EASTERN, AND WESTERN POSITIONS! ALL UNITS MAN YOUR DEFENSE STATIONS! A-"

The warning was cut short by another massive explosion.

Staff Officer Black rushed to the consoles. "No… no, no, no no nononononono!" He pounded the screen, the headquarter's main sniper bay, munitions depot, barracks, and lookout/ sniper towers had been destroyed. He clenched his fist, turning to the radar, "no… Goku's not here, it will be another 15 or so minutes… but… why?!" His thoughts were cut short as a bullet pierced his spine. He turned to watch Commander Red, face bruised and beaten, holing a pistol. "You bastard." Black Collapsed.

"Hmph…" Red gathered himself, "traitor…" His smugness was cut short by another massive explosion. "I've got to get out of here… wait, I'll just use the Battle Jacket Gero gave me… yes!" He smiled.

"D'ya think that woke them up?" Krillin asked, he and the majority of other fighters were backing in the corner of the ship as they watched Launch work. She was already decently strong for a human, and the training she was beginning worked some wonders for her. In one hand, she launched grenades, fired bazookas, shot heat-seeking incendiaries, in another hand, she'd fire a small ki blast to illuminate the smoke-filled Red Ribbon Army base, guiding her to another target.

"-yeah…" Yamcha began, "I think it did."

"DIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEE!" Launch screamed out, laughing and whooping as she dropped bomb after bomb on the hapless army below.

"Geez Launch…" Roshi muttered, "don't you think they've had enough?" She turned away, terrified when the blonde turned to glare at him. After a few tense seconds, she returned to her task of demolition the base.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA! I LOVE THE SMELL OF NAPALM IN THE MORNING! YOU CALL YOURSELVES BY DIFFERENT COLORS RIGHT?! WELL, RED RIBBON?! MEET AGENT ORANGE!"

Chi-Chi looked around then whispered, "why is she so scary?"

Krillin shook his head, "no idea, but at least she's on our side, right?"

The others agreed.

"Few…" Launch smiled, "I've used up all the bombs, now all those bastards are dead, let's nab the balls before any of those losers decide to try and wise up."

"But… if they're all dead…" Chi-Chi began, PaoPao grabbed her shoulder and shook her head no.

"If the coast is clear…" Bulma, who had been piloting her air-ship began, "I'll lower us in."

The airship's turbines and jet thrusters turned perpendicular to the ground, and as Bulma eased the throttle, they began to slowly lower to the ground.

click

Yamcha's ears twitched.

Ka-chink… click… wh-wh-wh-khkhkh-kh

He opened his eyes. "Bulma!" He screamed, "move the ship!"

"What?!" Bulma turned, but too late, as a robotic arm smashed into the ship, sending it careening towards the ground.

Bulma fought for control of the ship, but the damage was too great, causing them to crash land into the ground.

Booming laughter filled the air.

"HAHAHA! YOU THOUGHT YOU'D BE RID OF THE RED RIBBON ARMY?! I, COMMANDER RED, WILL LIVE, NO MATTER WHAT, I WON'T LET YOU ESCAPE!"

The Commander of the Red Ribbon Army approached them inside a giant robot.

"So… he's the boss of this shin-dig? I gotta say, I like his style." Launch pulled out a gun and opened fire brazenly at the robot. Red laughed loudly as the bullets fell off his body ineffectually.

"THIS THE BEST YOU CAN DO?"

Yamcha charged forward, fists clenched, "Ōkami no Ken!" Before the general could say anything, he was flung backward as Yamcha's attack pushed the robot back. "Damn!" He said, growling, "that didn't dent the robot even a little."

"No!" Krillin pointed, "you scratched it, right on its chest."

"I-IMPOSSIBLE!"

Yamcha grinned, "nice, then, in that case, let me handle it guys." He charged forward, dodging under the clumsy swipes of the giant robot.

Red growled, and a flap opened from the robot, releasing a bazooka shot. Yamcha jumped out of the way. "HAHAAHAA! SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR FRIENDS!"

"Oh no!" Yamcha shouted. But before anyone could say or do anything, PaoPao had already generated a Talisman barrier. The barrier almost instantly shattered, but they watched as it began to slowly repair itself as she supplied ki into it.

Yamcha capitalized on this moment by smashing into the glass dome protecting Commander Red.

The short man screamed in fear, batting Yamcha off and nearly striking himself with his robotic fist. "If… If I was any taller, that would have hit me." Seeing Yamcha giggle caused him to growl. He launched himself up in the air. "This is it brats! I'm going to send you all to kingdom come!" A massive bomb opened up from the robot's chest area.

"I'll just blow it up!" Krillin began, charging up a Kamehameha.

"No! Krillin!" Roshi said, "we won't survive the explosion, regardless of whether or not we explode it prematurely, we need a different plan!"

"Well, none of us can fly fast enough to catch it! Don't you have something Roshi?!" They turned to the venerable Sage, surely with his years of experience, there was something he could do. They watched as he was furiously writing something on a scrap of paper.

"Is this some mystical art, or sagely battle plan?! Perhaps a talisman?" A Tsukimi ninja asked in wonder.

"I'm writing my will, we're dead."

Bulma whined, "I don't wanna die!"

Launch cocked her gun, fighting the urge to fire at the bomb.

The others were full of mixed feelings of either inadequacy or fear.

Chi-Chi shook, but as her mind raced, she looked back to Goku, and of how he charged into the flames to rescue his friend, even as Roshi prepared a Kamehameha.

"We aren't dying!" She turned to PaoPao. "Your shield, if I gave you ki, could you block that bomb?" She turned to everyone else, "please! Lend your ki!"

The others nodded, "yeah! Of course!" They gathered around PaoPao.

"Okay…" PaoPao looked up, the bomb was only 100 feet from the group. Slowly, but certainly, she felt the group's energy flowing into her, her breath quickened as the energy threatened to overwhelm her body. The shield began to flicker with energy, crackling in the air.

"It's losing stability!" Roshi shouted, "everyone! Pace yourselves! If you overwhelm PaoPao the shield will break on impact and we will all die anyway!"

"I…" PaoPao groaned, "I can handle it!" She clenched her fists with enough force to bleed and glared at the talisman before her. Using the blood she had drawn, she scrawled several symbols onto the barrier. If the others were flooding her with energy, overflowing her despite her siphoning it out, she would create more spigots and entrances for the water to flow out. The shield thickened and became more opaque, then the bomb collided, igniting the world in fire.

Had some fun with this chapter, Goku at this point of the story decimates the Red Ribbon Army in the original anyway, but I thought an air fight would be fun, demonstrating just how much Korin's training has helped him. For reference, think about it this way, sort of like in DB Super and Granolah, Goku has gained an unreal level of strength quickly, at least compared to before, while he is competent, he lacks truly being able to use the power as his own, as he lacks the skills to use it well, he wastes a lot of his movement because he never needs to conserve it. Does it matter if running at an angle slows down his forward movement if he still gets somewhere faster? It's basically like that, Korin's training was to instill a sense of understanding within Goku, to not waste his movements and use his powers more accurately. By dulling his senses, Goku is more forced to rely both on his intuition and on the little he can see and sense, emulating the feeling of being in something faster than you can normally react to, that mixed with his slight stamina training and he's truly become a better fighter. During those three days, since Tao "died" before he could confirm that he collected the dragon balls, Commander Red decided that he's got no better option than sending a cleanup crew, hoping that at the least, Goku and Tao killed each other or Goku was very injured.

Unfortunately for him, our team of Fighters gathered on an airship to go drop a few presents over. I changed a few things as well though as you can see, Staff Officer Black normally kills Commander Red, but… in my personal opinion, just shooting him, especially after the entire debacle (in the original gathering the dragon balls is for him to get taller too), is too easy, so he wants to torture the man first. Unfortunately, our heroes interrupt his righteous ass-beating and Black is shot from behind. Will this be the end for him? Who knows.

These chapters are getting a bit more complicated to belt out as the story strays more from the original, but as I type them, I realize that things change as much as they stay the same lol, and so I hope you look forward to the next chapter!

Thanks for all the Reviews, favorites, and follows, I love making this story, but the knowledge of an audience certainly helps!
