Keiwa was reminiscing about the events that happened during previous Valentine's Days and White Days. While he had received a lot of chocolates during Valentine's days and was given some during White Days, a lot of those times, they happened without some sort of fanfare.

He'd received chocolates from people who were too shy that they left them on his shoe locker, which was akin to some of the dramas his sister had watched.

He'd also received chocolates from people who took that time as an opportunity to confess to him.

He always politely declined the girls who did confess to him citing wanting to help his sister and he could not really focus on a relationship, they still ended up forcing him to accept the chocolates despite the rejection.

He had given them chocolates on White Day, and he made sure his chocolates weren't misinterpreted. He did this the first time by giving everyone who gave him chocolates, chocolates on White Day. Since then, he's been known to give chocolates to the people who gave him one on Valentine's Day.

Which left no room for misinterpretation.

This time was different.

He was in an honest-to-goodness relationship with someone.

And frankly, he was scrambling for ideas because simply giving his special someone chocolates on White Day lost its actual meaning the moment he started giving everyone who gave him one during Valentine's Day.

"You were too kind for your own good, Keiwa."

Sara had commented when he asked her what to do.

She had never opposed him making a big batch of chocolates on White Day, as she also got to eat those too.

"Think about what she actually likes doing and maybe start from there." Sara had suggested to him.

What she liked doing.

That gave him an idea.

Haru had shown Keiwa what she loved doing on the side, and that was gardening. She had always been fond of the activity that she went ahead and made a garden in one of her many properties, that had been purchased by her father years ago.

Knowing his status as the owner's boyfriend, the people in the garden let him into the place without much thought.

It helped that he already got clearance to be in the garden for the day from Haru citing various reasons.

"This is perfect."

He got to work, and he made sure to include the staff in what he was doing to make things easier for him.

"What do you say we do a bit of gardening after work today?" Keiwa offered during lunch.

"Yes, please!" Haru exclaimed. "I love the work I put in for my company, but I would like to see anything other than a piece of paper that needs my signature."

Keiwa and Haru enjoyed themselves tending to the plants, out of their stuffy suits and dresses and wearing simple gray shirts and sweatpants. Keiwa had green while Haru had pink.

Keiwa helped by carrying sacks of soil and fertilizers and putting them next to Haru while she worked on replanting some plants to other pots and removing the weeds that had grown.

The two of them engaged in idle conversations mostly about their personal interests. Keiwa talked about his sister and her friendship with someone she had idolized before while she talked about how one of her friends was doing well in the police academy.

This led to a conversation about Keiwa considering going into the police academy himself.

"I'm glad you didn't," Haru smiled at her boyfriend. "If you had, we wouldn't have met."

"I'm glad I didn't too." Keiwa nodded.

"I think we can call it a night," Haru exclaimed as she stood up from her position. "What do you say, Keiwa-kun?"

"Not just yet," Keiwa smiled. "Since today is a special occasion, let me treat you to something special for today."

"Oh? Forgive me, Keiwa-kun, I wasn't aware that today is a special day."

"It's okay, Haru-chan," Keiwa smiled. "I figured you'd be too busy to remember what today really was what with the conflicting interests of some of the big bosses in the company."

"They really are some of the greediest people I know," Haru sighed. "Sometimes, I wish they'd magically change their ways for the good of everyone, but that's what I'm here for."

"That's why you need to be treated today."

Keiwa led Haru to a table which was candlelit surrounded by some of the flowers she adored so much.

"This is my white day present to you, Haru-chan." Keiwa kissed Haru's cheek and led her to a chair.

"Aaa- a candlelit dinner for White Day?" Haru questioned. "Aren't you supposed to just give me chocolate to respond to the one I gave you?"

"Admittedly, reciprocating the chocolates given to me kind of lost its meaning when I started giving everyone who gave me one on Valentine's Day chocolates during White Day, so I wanted to make something special just for you." Keiwa blushed at his explanation.

"You do know how to make a girl feel special, Keiwa-kun."

"All the credit doesn't go to me, to be very honest. I couldn't have prepared everything without the help of the staff you hired here," Keiwa added. "They helped me set everything here, but one thing hasn't changed, I was the one who cooked the meals we will be eating today."

"How did you ever manage that?"

Before Keiwa could answer, one of the staff approached them and placed down two plates of their appetizer for the night.

As their dinner date went on, even dressed in sweatpants and gray shirts, Keiwa and Haru enjoyed themselves. They continued to talk about their lives after Keiwa had explained how he had managed to cook the dishes that they were eating for the night.

As the night went on, so did the time. Sooner or later they needed to go home and be prepared for the next day.

"Before I forget, Haru-chan, happy White Day."

Keiwa handed Haru a box wrapped in pink, on it was a small drawing of a cavalier hat surrounded by several Fleur Di Lis.

"When I asked Ren-san and the others about what to give you, Futaba-san gave me the idea of drawing this on the package." Keiwa blushed, feeling unsure of his drawing skills.

"Don't worry, Keiwa-kun, Futaba-chan was just teasing, she knew how I liked these symbols," Haru chuckled. "And you drew them so cute too."

Keiwa's only response was to turn even redder.

"On top of cooking me dinner and having us eat in the garden with candles around us, you still gave me chocolates for White Day? Aren't you overdoing things a bit?" Haru smiled at the effort Keiwa made for her.

"Yeah, well, as I said earlier just giving you chocolates didn't seem right after I reciprocated everyone's chocolates since school."

"You didn't date anyone while in school?" Haru couldn't help but question.

It seemed like she was Keiwa's first girlfriend.

"I've had a few of them," Keiwa admitted. "None of them ever reached Valentine's Day, let alone White Day."

"Oh, Keiwa, simply spending time with you in the garden was enough for me," Haru stated. "But nevertheless, I loved everything you prepared for me."

Keiwa and Haru shared a kiss under the moonlight bathed the by warm glow that came from the lit candle on their table.

After cleaning up with the staff, Keiwa drove Haru home before heading home himself.
