"Had some fun, I see."
The twins turned, staring wide-eyed like deer caught in headlights as Jazz floated down. Jazz inspected the carnage. Luckily, no one was dead, but the majority of them had something broken, and a few had some serious internal bleeding that would be dangerous if he didn't get to work soon.
He spread his healing flames around, setting bones, knitting muscle and sinew, healing away bruises, and restoring burst blood vessels and damaged organs. He was surprised however to see one of the people didn't need much healing.
He raised his eyebrow when the young man came to and stood, standing a full 7 feet tall. The man looked around, then screamed angrily. "What are you doing to my little bro's friends!"
Jazz looked around, it definitely looked like he was setting a bunch of kids on fire. "Oh, well…" Before he could explain himself, the man leaped forward, swinging his fist into Jazz's face. Jazz didn't even move, allowing the man to smash his fist forward. After a few seconds, the man leapt back, yelping in pain and clutching his badly bruised hand. "Sorry, can you stop for a bit?" Jazz's eyes gleamed blue as she forced the man to the ground. 'Interesting… his power, 300? But it fluctuates, sometimes going all the way up to 500, I wonder who his teacher is.' His question was answered as the man screamed out.
"Argh! Dynamic Pump Up!" Muscles swirled as the young man broke through Jazz's relatively weak telekinetic pressure and charged forward. Jazz, who had finished healing the delinquents raised a finger, blocking the man's flying kick.
"Jeez, I feel like one of those ancient masters in fighting animes now." Jazz chuckled, "anyways, young man, calm down, I didn't harm your friends, look."
The young man glared at the delinquents, then his eyes softened as he saw many of them getting up, their injuries healed. "Wha… y-you…" He narrowed his eyes, widening them as he stared at Jazz. "No way… you're…"
"Yeah?" Jazz asked.
"You're the teacher from Hell! The god of torture and cruelty that reformed Lord Satan into the powerhouse he is now!"
Jazz coughed in surprise, "wow… Hercule's really trying to get a rise out of me now." He could just imagine his former disciple's gleeful face when he described Jazz as a 'cruel god of torture'. He looked at the man, who was now kowtowing before him.
"What's your name?" Jazz asked.
"S-Samson Potts sir!" The young man didn't look up, seemingly too awed to look at Jazz's face.
"So…" Jazz asked casually, creating up a small pillar of ice and sitting on it. "Why did you attack my cute little siblings?"
Samson gulped, "s-sire…"
"I'm no one's king, just answer the question please."
"I was told they put my bro into the hospital," Samson admitted, looking at Jazz. "I couldn't just let that go, I just wanted to figure out why, then they beat up my bro's friends, and I kinda lost my temper."
Jazz nodded, from his perspective, it was somewhat reasonable. "Okay, I get it, to a point, but… who brings 100 people to talk to 2 kids?"
"There were rumors, those kids lifted a school bus, no one outside their school believes it, but all the kids in their school swear by it…" One delinquent muttered weakly.
Jazz chuckled, "dang, wow… okay." He smiled sweetly, "Now, let me ask you all a question, who here can tell me why your 'bro', ended up in the hospital?"
"Your bratty sibling jumped him and broke his arm with bricks!" One of the delinquents growled.
Jazz turned to look at the kid. "You mean, after seeing what they could do today, you think they would stoop so low as to beat someone up with bricks?"
Lapis scoffed, "you jackasses! He came at me with a pocket knife! If I didn't pay attention he'd have taken out my eye! Besides, it's your fault!" He pointed at Monica, then Lazuli.
"Me?!" Lazuli growled, "I'm not the one who said 'you're like a weird, ugly mail-order doll.' Then flipped my hair and laughed like a maniac!"
Jazz massaged his temples. "Here's what's going to happen." He turned to the twins, then to the delinquents. "No word of this, to anyone, ever. You're all healed up, and I'm certain you don't wanna go through that bull shit again, but it doesn't change the fact many of you said things to both those kids that a lesser man would maim over. So let's just wipe the slate clean, okay?"
"But… my bro!" Samson shouted.
"Kid, why don't you ask the school for security footage, there's a reason why, despite what they said, Lapis and Lazuli didn't get expelled, isn't there?" Jazz sighed, "anyways, you two." He turned to the twins, "we are going to be late if we don't leave 5 minutes ago, so let's move!"
…
"So…" Hercule elbowed Jazz playfully, "I heard the twins gave one of my disciples a thrashing."
Jazz sighed grumpily, "don't remind me."
It turned out that expecting 100 kids to keep quiet about an event like that was impossible. Luckily, with no injuries, no video footage, and the kids' less than stellar reputation, the ones slimy enough to talk at least, meant that nothing came about from their words, given that Jazz had disguised himself slightly as a precaution, and the twins never revealed his name, so the only trouble they got in was domestic.
Even now, as they were flying towards Kami's Palace, PaoPao was staring daggers at him and the twins in between a girly talk with Bulma and Miguel.
"I've got to say, that custom 20 mm derringer puts down a bastard real quick." Bulma grinned, "just one shot between the eyes and done."
"Umm, I'm just happy with mace and bear repellent most of the time, but the industrial-strength taser is also pretty useful." Miguel offered.
"You girls should train with me." PaoPao offered, "as useful as tools are, they don't beat," she giggled, "the visceral feeling of beating up a weird pervert trying to harass and feel you up at Three-in-the-morning after a round at the bar."
Yup, super girly talk.
"...What are you doing at 3 A.M. after a round in the bar?" Bulma asked suspiciously.
PaoPao grinned, "keeping an eye on your blackout drunk ass, Bulma." She smiled mischievously, "or else you'd walk off with every tall, slightly handsome man around."
Jazz took his attention away from their talk and turned to the front of the ship, piloting the craft was Yajirobe, who Korin sent down to pick them up. Jazz knew the way to Korin's tower, but Yajirobe didn't want anyone else to pilot the ship, given how smooth their flight was, there was no reason for Jazz to argue.
"I'm no cheater!" Bulma screeched, "in fact, when Yamcha and I were dating, I saw him glancing at other girls sometimes!"
Jazz couldn't help but remember that in cannon, she attempted to flirt with General Blue both once out of sheer interest, then again in an attempt to save her life, while she was currently dating Yamcha. It didn't change the fact that Yamcha might eventually cheat on her, but at the very least their thoughts and actions at face value seemed to mesh.
"I'll take up your offer." Miguel smiles, "I've been feeling a bit nauseous lately, and my weight's been increasing, I feel a little embarrassed about it…" She blushed slightly.
PaoPao looked at Miguel curiously, and Bulma broke into a wide grin. "Miguel… is there something you've been doing that you do-"
PaoPao cut her off. "Bulma, let's talk about this when we have a bit more privacy. She stared across the ship, and the others followed her gaze, Jazz had let go of his transformation, revealing his long elf-like ears, and while it looked like he was conversing with Hercule, he took a few seconds to look at the three girls, smile briefly, then nod a quick hello as he returned to his conversation. "That guy's hearing is ridiculous, so you wanna avoid saying something stupid, or too much."
Across the floor of the ship, Jazz turned to Hercule. "So, Hercule, buddy, while I'm happy you love Miguel that much." Jazz had just spent the last 10 minutes hearing Hercule gush about how much he loved Miguel. "How're things with your gym?" He attempted to change topics.
"Oh? It's fantastic, we get new recruits every day, it's a crazy vetting process. I'll tell you what, if not for Miguel, I'd not know what to do." He smiled, "she gives me the motivation to get out there and work hard, for the two of us!"
Jazz sighed and leaned into his chair. "I'm happy you're so devoted." He closed his eyes, nodding and inputting responses to show he was still attempting to genuinely listen to his friend gush about Miguel. The talk between the ladies was interesting to listen in on as well, though he wasn't trying that hard to eavesdrop.
…
"Girls!" Chi-Chi screamed in delight when she ran to her friends, she hugged PaoPao, Miguel, and Bulma tightly. "Oh, my Kami! You don't realize how happy I am to see you, girls!"
"I missed you too Chi-Chi!" PaoPao smiled, patting her friend, she flinched in surprise when Chi-Chi burst into tears. "Was… was the training that hard?" She asked, worry in her tone.
"Boys are disgusting!" Chi-Chi buried her tear-soaked face into PaoPao's coat.
"..."
Bulma stifled a giggle. "You mean three years with Goku wasn't all it cracked up to be?"
"Bulma…" Miguel chided, "Chi-Chi was alone all this time, everyone else was a boy, it must have been hard."
"Wait…" PaoPao suddenly wondered, "isn't Launch here too?"
"She's the worst of them!" Chi-Chi shouted, just then, a foul stench filled the air. The girl's visibly recoiled, all except for Chi-Chi, who could only sigh in resignation as a door opened, revealing her fellow training partners.
The first to walk out was Goku, who, except for his training gi being torn to shreds on the upper part and his left pant torn below the knee, was decently clean. Not a speck of grime or dirt was on him, and he had a refreshed look on his face as if he had just taken a long shower or bath after a nice rest. His tail swished about energetically despite his calm demeanor, exposing his emotions.
The others were in less than stellar appearance, Tien was covered in sweat from head to toe, his training gi damp and discolored from his sweat, Yamcha on the other hand had a few bruises and sported some new scars on his hands and bare feet. Krillin was equally sweaty and sported a scar reminiscent of bear claws on his chest. Though by far, the most ragged-looking combatant was Launch. She was covered in sweat and grime, and her long blond hair had caked into greasy dreadlocks. Before they got any closer, Jazz raised his hand and launched a deluge of nearly scalding water towards them followed by a blast of soap.
"Why." Jazz didn't say anything else.
"Uh…" Yamcha laughed nervously. He wiped some sudzy water from his face. "The Room of Spirit and Time is openly viewable… so no one wanted to bath in front of everyone else."
"You were in the Room of Spirit and Time?" Jazz asked incredulously. "Isn't there only a two-person limit?"
"No, it's not a two-person limit, it's a limit to how much food it can hold in a year." Tien shook his head. It's stocked with enough food to feed two people of Goku's appetite for a single year, and Goku can eat equal to 8 normal people." Tien twisted his face in disbelief, "it's actually a little scary."
Yamcha chuckled, "we were in there for 9 months. And just barely made it."
"It's just… a vast void of emptiness, I'd lose my mind if I had to be there alone." Krillin sighed, "but the training was definitely worth it." Krillin chuckles, "the gravity is insane, 10 times that of earth's, and the further out you go, the denser the air gets, only Tien could make it more than 30 miles away from the center."
Jazz turned to Tien, impressed.
"It was only through fusion," Tien admitted.
"Actually, outside of standard training, we did quite a bit of training on fusions," Krillin admitted, grinning. "It's definitely stronger when two people do it together, but unlike Tien, none of us can really pull off the technique the way he does it."
Jazz raised an eyebrow. "You mean self-fusion?"
"Yes." Tien nodded, "in fact, Jazz, I may be stronger than you now."
Jazz raised an eyebrow. "Oh?" He smiled, "that's good. I never ascribed to being the strongest." He eyed the group, "but I can tell, each of you is definitely stronger than before. But I'm no slouch, and neither is Hercule." He slapped the tanned afro-wielding martial artist on the back. "We have something some of you don't, emotional support!" He chuckled.
"Yeah, remind me I'm single," Krillin mumbled. "That's cold Jazz… you know I'm the only one that's single."
Jazz blinked, "really?" He looked to Tien.
"That's not true." Tien said, "Chiaotzu's single."
Jazz looked at how close Tien and Launch stood next to each other. Then he looked at Yamcha hugging Bulma, who hugged the former bandit back tightly. Then at Chi-Chi, who was talking to the slightly oblivious Goku, who seemed to receive her affection warmly, at least compared to before. He turned to Krillin, "sorry bro."
Krillin's eyes widened in shock at his apology. "Why are you looking at me like that?!" He growled angrily, "hey… stop making fun of me!"
Jazz merely shook his head. "Sorry… man…"
Lazuli giggled at Krillin's indignant attitude, causing the bald man to glower at the teen. "Great, even kids are messing with me, I bet you've got a lot of guys hanging off your arms."
Lapis chuckled, "Nope, she rejects all of them, cause her type is-" Lazuli covered her brother's mouth, staring daggers at him.
Jazz was about to retort when PaoPao punched him playfully from behind. "Emotional support?" She began, smirking, "sure, I can certainly comfort you after I kick your ass."
"Scary…" Jazz mused jokingly, hugging her back. He closed his eyes for a few moments as his friends mingled and caught up with each other. He couldn't help but look at the center of the lookout, wherein the center, three pots stood, one holding the demon king's first incarnation, and the other two holding his former best friends.
"You okay?" PaoPao saw Jazz's gaze.
"Yeah." Jazz smiled, squeezing her hand reassuringly. "I'm good." He lost friends, but he made new ones, ones he felt respected and cherished him as much as he did them. "Anyways, enough catching up, we've got a trip to enjoy."
…
"That's a point!" Lapis crowed in joy.
"Pft, all you did was make us tie, it's not like you'll get the next point!" Lazuli grit her teeth. She turned to her partner, "Krillin! You need to pull your weight!"
Krillin, for his part, sighed. Jazz had taken the group to a beautiful beach island. White sands, clear crystal waters, a luscious forest on the island. He called the place "Bunbuku Island". Krillin would have been content swimming and exploring, but eventually, the scenes of couples spending time together killed his mood. While he overcame his original desire for female popularity through martial arts prowess, he didn't give up the dream of female popularity. For that reason, the members of the group that annoyed him the most were Yamcha and Hercule. Yamcha was popular amongst his peers, tall, handsome, and dating a beautiful, rich girl in Bulma, an amazing achievement, even with her less than pleasant attitude sometimes. Hercule on the other hand was even more infuriating. He was also tall, but in Krillin's opinion, he was no looker, but he was world-famous and had hundreds of ladies who'd fawn over him, to make matters worse, he was dating a world-famous singer.
"Yeah…" He muttered unenthusiastically, raising his hand to serve the ball. Lazuli stared at his lackluster movements. "You're seriously uncool, y'know?" The thirteen-year-old shook her head.
"Well, I don't feel like showing off in front of children," Krillin grumbled.
"I'm not a child!" Lapis and Lazuli yelled at the same time.
Yamcha just shook his head, "come on kids, you know that won't convince Krillin, he doesn't acknowledge anyone less than 3 inches taller than him as an adult, projection… I think it's called."
Krillin's temple pulsed as he smirked, "yeah, I'm not going to take that insult from a dude whipped by his girlfriend."
"I'm not-!"
"Yamcha honey! Can you open this drink with your big, strong arms!" Bulma called out.
Yamcha was about to yell, but then turned sheepishly, trudging over to Bulma and opening her bottled drink barehanded. "Here you go, sweety!" He said cheerfully.
"Thanks, babe!" Bulma smacked Yamcha on the butt, "now go back to kicking Krillin's ass!"
Krillin smirked as Yamcha trudged back to the beach, he mimicked the sound of a whip cracking.
"Shut up, midget!"
"You first, whipping boy!" Krillin pumped up, raising the volleyball and serving it with enough force to ignite the air around him.
"...At least he's taking it seriously." Lazuli sighed, feeling her veins slightly protrude and her muscles slowly harden in response to her own pump-up activation, she looked to her brother, who was mirroring her actions, obviously in an attempt to keep up with the man-children on their respective teams.
Miguel, who watched the two teams play with increasing alarm turned to Bulma. "Why'd you antagonize them, like that."
Bulma giggled, "Guess how many times Yamcha has called or visited me in the three years?"
"Um…" Miguel pondered the question. "30-60 times?" That would be an average of about once every 2-3 months, an amount Miguel would find terrible and neglectful, but at least something.
PaoPao shook her head, already knowing the answer.
"Three times." Bulma still had the same grin, but her eyes glinted with a dangerous light. "So I'm definitely gonna watch my boyfriend sweat, I wanna see what the heck he's gained over the three years of ignoring his girlfriend." The other boys, ignoring the dark, sinister aura radiating from Bulma, lay on towels, sunbathing.
"Ah… this is pretty relaxing, it's been a while since I got to just… chill out, it's really busy y'know? Being the instructor of the Satan Dojo in Orange City and all."
"I admire your tenacity." Tien said, smiling, "perhaps when I find supreme confidence in my skills, I will open up my own dojo."
Goku was sleeping at the moment, lying on the towel, splayed, out, and scratching his semi-exposed stomach absentmindedly as he snored slightly. The noise was mostly drowned out by the sound of the waves, so it did not bother anyone. Chi-Chi had contented herself with sunbathing as well, though she was next to Goku, and would turn to face the sleeping young man every few seconds.
Jazz was also lightly resting. While his extreme ability to rapidly rest denied him the opportunity to sleep for hours on end without becoming miserable through oversleeping, he could still allow the sun to warm his body and relax.
"Hey, Jazz?" Hercule asked. "Was there any particular reason as to why you invited us to relax over the weekend?"
"...Nope." Jazz answered, not opening his eyes, "no reason at all really. In fact, you can say this was an extreme spur of the moment thing."
"Well, it's very nice, thanks for inviting us here, how did you even find out about this place?" Tien asked.
"Jazz 2 found out about this place, he asked the natives, and they called it Bunbuku Island. The beach was beautiful, smelled great, and sounded amazing, so I kept that in mind, they don't mind me using it, since Jazz 2 diverted an active volcanic eruption."
"Jazz 2 being the more… feral version of you from a few years back?" Tien asked.
"Yup, you've fought him plenty of times though, didn't you? Nearly killed him too."
Tien was silent for a bit. "That was a different time, a different me."
"I don't hold it against you, though I do regret not being able to fight you in the tournament, Demon King Piccolo's interruption really put a damper on things."
Tien chuckled, "that fiasco… it wasn't fun at all playing second fiddle to your group. I was surprised Kami would even train me over you."
"Well, I wouldn't call it a fiasco. You gave us time, the time we had frighteningly little of. And Goku and Krillin fused together, of course, the fusion of different individuals would be more powerful than two halves of the same individual combining. Let's not forget that Goku and Krillin's techniques synergized pretty well, even if the fusion was a 'failed result', then PaoPao's magic talisman technique, a lot went into taking out that jerkass." Jazz sat up and stretched before laying back down. "But enough questions, it's your turn, Tien, where's Chiaotzu?"
Tien sighed, "Chiaotzu felt useless in the last few conflicts, he is a skilled warrior, and his psychic power is amazing, but he says he feels inferior to everyone in all accounts, even your psychic ability overrides his own, so he apologized to Kami, but said he would practice on his own, honing his psychic abilities to their fullest. I last saw him maybe a year ago, when he told me he was leaving to train, and that I'd see him at the tournament. But… he's just a kid, I can't help but worry about him."
"Training with others yields the most improvement." Jazz muttered, "but I can't say I don't understand where he's coming from. Powerwise, in our resting states I'm definitely the weakest. But, appearances are deceiving."
Hercule shook his head, "I still don't get that energy-sensing mumbo-jumbo you talk about. Like, I was able to pick up the Kamehameha, the pump up, and flying, but… I just can't sense other people's life energy, seems impossible honestly."
Jazz seemed surprised, "really? Even after everything? I'd have thought with how…" Hercule was surprisingly powerful, too powerful for such a statement to be believable, but it probably was why he still seemed slightly reserved around the group. "Wow… I guess I'll train you this weekend."
"Really?" Hercule seemed interested, the him who would completely dismiss ki and true martial arts as magic mambo jumbo had long since disappeared, and the man who would run away from the first sign of trouble… well, he did his best to suppress that part of himself. "That would be awesome."
"Great!" Jazz agreed, "just not now!" He turned to see Puar and Oolong playing at the edge of the beach, building sand sculptures, Puar was building a sculpture of a dragon, and Oolong making a sexy mermaid. Launch was out surfing, and from the looks of it, she was quite skilled. He lay back down to rest. A cool blackness blocked his view of the sun, and he opened his eyes to see PaoPao standing over him. "...While I can't say whether I prefer your radiance or the Sun's radiance…" He grinned as he saw his girlfriend roll her eyes, "I would like to ask if you need something."
"Well, I was wondering if you could honor me with your time."
"I don't mind at all." Jazz looked at PaoPao quizzically, "Is something wrong?"
"Could… could we speak a bit privately, it's a bit important." PaoPao seemed worried.
Jazz nodded, "of course." He nodded to Tien and Hercule, who nodded back.
"Good luck bro, if she breaks up with you, I'm always here, you can cry on my shoulder." Hercule teased.
"Sure, I'll hold you to that." Jazz waved him off dismissively. He and PaoPao flew towards the edge of the island. "Is something wrong?" Jazz asked.
PaoPao looked at Jazz, took in a deep breath, then spoke slowly, "It's about Artificial Human number 8…"

Afterword:
Can't tell you how late this is
Outside of that, I'm sure you've all been wondering.
Hercule's power level is 11,000. He is a powerhouse, not even including Pump Up. He is a hard worker, and unlike Jazz, pretty talented, he had to be skilled in order to win the Budokai Tenkaichi, especially since you still should have people around King Chappa's or Nam's Level in those tournaments. He is also around Krillin's age, so mix all of that together, and he's gonna be one tough cookie.
