Jacob

We rushed into the clearing as wolves and found Victoria's teeth bite into the soft skin of Alex's wrist.

Me and Sam howled, and then slammed into the Leech, causing her to let go of Alex, who fell to the soft grass with a soft thud.

"Il get the Leech you watch Alex" Sam said in my head as he tore after Victoria.

I phased and pulled my shorts on.

When I crouched down beside Alex, I saw her eyes crack open, I saw recognition and sorrow flash across her vision.

"Jake you're a wolf?!" She said her voice coming out cracked and quiet.

She looked like she was in pain but I nodded. She tried to smile but it looked forced.

"Oh" I said and I knew I probably looked like a mess of emotions.

"What happened to you?" I choked out.

She didn't say anything but I could tell she wanted to say something.

I pulled her head in to my lap and picked up her left had and examined her wrist. Was she becoming a vampire, if so I didn't think I would be able to live with myself.

I found her cell phone in her pocket and pulled it out, I dialled Bella's number.

She picked up on the first ring, "Alexis?" Bella asked. "Who on never mind it's Jacob and, umm the owner of this phone was bit bye a vampire, is there anything that can help her.?" "Crap" I heard someone say on the other side of the line.

"Ok Jacob where are you?" Bella sounded serious. "Right by a small lake at the border line". I said.

"Ok be there soon." She said hanging up.

Three seconds later a copper haired vampire appeared in the clearing, with Bella on his back. Carlisle appeared right after.

As Wolf Sam walked into the clearing.

He growled but said nothing.

Carlisle came over and I handed Alex to him, not happy. He immediately walked over to the small lake on his side of the border and set her down.

"She's going to drown" Sam growled, and I noticed that he was a human again.

"No she won't" said Bella sharply

Alex suddenly disappeared into the lake. Me and Sam jumped up in outrage.

Alexis

It was my brother and Jake, they had found me, that was all I could think about to distract myself from the pain, as I pushed myself under the surface, the pain dulled slightly.

I waited till I could not hold the air in any longer before I let it go. The pain lessened as my tail appeared.

I sat down on my ledge and waited for the pain to fade.

I had a plan I would swim to the surface fast so the wolves didn't see my tail and try not to choke on air bye breathing in sharply.

I gave myself one more minute then carried out that plan, thankful that my shoes would transform with me as well as my sweater, but under that I would be wearing the Sea dress, 'crap'.

I broke the surface and took a deep breath, quickly willing myself to be human, but it was too fast for my still waterlogged lungs and I choked on the water left in my system. When I felt my Tail disappear I grabbed onto the solid ground, and kept trying to get to my regular breathing.

Each breath was agony, and I was probably crying by the time I stepped choking.

"Alex?" someone near me said causing me to freeze, nobody had called me that in a long time.

I looked up at all the faces looking at me, there was Bella, Edward, Carlisle, Jacob and Sam.

All of them looked worried and surprised.

I pulled myself out of the Water a stood up. I immediately felt light headed.

But before I could fall over I felt familiar warm arms wrap around me, supporting my weight.

"You should get some rest Alex we can talk about this tomorrow-"Sam said, but I stopped him"NO" I yelled not sure what to do, I would die if I stayed on land that long.

This was the part that I knew would happen if I had returned 5 months ago.
