To all my readers-Hey! What's up? How's the new year going for you? On my end, its getting there. Why? Because I have a particular reader who I feel is rushing me to get any of my fanfiction done and no, its not that particular guest reader who wanted about a certain fandom. Its someone who has an account that starting to pressure me. Dont worry, I've handled it and I hope that this particular user who has the account understands that no matter how many times you promise me that you'll be patient, I will always feel that you will go back on your word. Its why I always tell my readers not to rush me or the chapters will get messed up when I upload them.

If anyone, and I mean anyone tries to rush me while writing this fanfic or any of my other fanfics, all written chapters will be delayed for a week. No exceptions. Leave a positive review and Happy Reading!

I DONT OWN YUGIOH AT ALL! I ONLY OWN THE OC AND HER DUELING DECK!

Shoutouts:

Guest-Thats what I'm saying. I like to update my stories when I want to, not when someone demands it.

Guest 2-If you've seen the show, you know what happened to her through the entire original TV series. If not, then you should know that in season 1 that Yami (Aka the Pharaoh Atem) was knocked out of Duelist kingdom by choosing to end the duel. You will see Mai again in seasons 2, somewhat in season 3, Season 4 and a cameo in season 5.

"Now listen to me, Rebecca." Yugi tries to explain to her. "I'm only going to say this one more time. Our grandpa didn't steal your Blue Eyes White Dragon."

"Because if you really knew him like we do, the only thing our grandpa would physically steal is one of his favorite cookies after I take them out of the oven." said Paige. "How else can we stressed that enough?"

"You're both lying!" shouted Rebecca. "He did! He did! He did steal it! It was my grandpa's favorite, and your grandpa took it from him. You won't get away with this, you thieves!"

"Well…" said Paige as Yugi groans. "there goes the honor of our family name."

"I wouldn't go that far yet, Paige." said Tristan.

"Yugi can still beat her." said Joey.

"Let's hope so before I lose my temper." she said, crossing her arms.

"Rebecca…." said Grandpa.

"Now what?" she asked, rudely.

"There's a story that you need to hear, Rebecca." he tells her. "It's the story of how I met your grandfather Professor Arthur Hawkins, and of the danger we faced together."

"In other words, more of your lies! Forget it!" said Rebecca.

"No, it's true." said Grandpa. "And be assured, it was one of the most frightening experiences I've had in my entire life."

"I'm so sure." scoffed Rebecca.

"It happened years ago, but it's an adventure I'll never forget." Grandpa said as he begins the story.

[Flashback]

"I had traveled to Egypt to participate in an archaeological dig." said Grandpa as he, Professor Hawkins and others were at the dig site. "A brand new discovery had been made not far from the great pyramids."

Men were using pickaxes to get through the dirt.

"We all wondered what ancient Egyptian secrets would soon be unearthed." said Grandpa.

As the men worked diligently, Grandpa was sitting in the blistering heat, wiping his brow. He then takes out his water canteen.

"The desert was hotter and drier than I expected, so it was fortunate that I soon made a friend."

Hoping to take a sip of water, Grandpa finds that his water canteen was empty. Suddenly, Professor Hawkins walks over with his water canteen and hands it to him.

"You look like you could use some cool water." said Professor Hawkins.

"How can I thank you?" Grandpa asked, taking the canteen and having some water.

"I guzzled it down a little too quickly." said Grandpa.

Just then, Grandpa starts coughing from drinking down the water too fast.

"But my new friend, Professor Arthur Hawkins, was just amused at my enthusiasm. He was a kind and very brilliant man."

[Flashback ends]

"But in his field of archaeology, he was viewed as an extremely radical thinker." Grandpa explained.

"How come?" asked Tea and Paige.

"His theories. He believed that Duel Monsters may have played some mysterious part in Egyptian history." Grandpa explained.

"Huh?"

"Am I right, Rebecca?" questioned Grandpa.

"I don't understand, Grandpa." said Yugi.

"Neither do I." said Paige.

"His study of Hieroglyphics, the ancient Egyptians' writing, kept turning up one particular word over and over again." said Grandpa. "And that one word was 'Duel'."

"Huh?" asked Joey.

"Duel?" asked Tea.

"But why?" asked Yugi and Paige.

"Hmm." said Rebecca.

"It was a mystery." said Grandpa.

[Flashback]

"Using 'Duel' as a key word, he worked toward a new interpretation of Egyptian history, and he came to an astonishing discovery."

Grandpa and Professor Hawkins were inside a room when the latter used a lantern to read the hieroglyphics. "It's here, my friend, in the hieroglyphs." said Professor Hawkins, wiping away the dirt from the wall to read the inscription. "'By the spirits of the river Nile, I combine magic and monster to vanquish my enemy in our battle this day'."

"What on earth can that mean?" asked Grandpa.

"If I'm correct, it has to do with incredible contests in which ancient Egyptians participated." explained Professor Hawkins. "Contests with high stakes….I believe duels."

"What kind of duels?" Grandpa inquired.

"I think you'll find the answer in that inscription, Solomon." said Professor Hawkins as Grandpa took a closer look.

"Hmm." he said as Professor Hawkins took out his dueling deck.

"Look at this." said Professor Hawkins, gaining Grandpa's attention.

"Duel monsters cards." said Grandpa. Taking the deck, Grandpa looks down at Stone Solider.

"Now, take a look at those ancient drawings." suggested Professor Hawkins, showing the Muto patriarch the same Duel monster.

"The images are nearly the same!" Grandpa exclaimed.

"Which lead me to believe the ancient Egyptians must've played a similar game to our own." said Professor Hawkins.

"What an amazing discovery!" said Grandpa. "When you present it to your fellow scholars, you'll revolutionize the field of Egyptology!"

"We shall see." said Professor Hawkins, knowing that he was right.

"That's ridiculous."

"But Arthur's colleagues ridiculed his theories, and dismissed them as wild fantasy." said Grandpa.

[Flashback ends]

"Even in the face of such disbelief, he bravely stood his ground and continued his difficult research into the ancient game of duel monsters." added Grandpa. "He invited me to join him in his work, and I helped as best I could. In time, he discovered a link between the game and the millenium items."

"What kind of link?" asked Yugi.

"Is that why you gave us the Millennium Puzzle?" asked Paige.

"Is still very mysterious, Yugi and Paige." Grandpa tells his grandchildren.

[Flashback]

"The ancient Egyptians didn't play this game just for fun or money, Solomon, but rather for power to rule the world." said Professor Hawkins.

"How can that be?" asked Grandpa.

"The inscriptions tell of a place called the shadow realm where terrible monsters dwell and powerful warriors battle for dominion over the earth." Professor Hawkins explained.

"Hmm." Grandpa said, thinking as he was curious to know.

"Apparently, the ancient Egyptians actually played the game in that mysterious realm, and the stakes, according to this inscription, were the fate of the earth!" said Professor Hawkins.

[Flashback ends]

"So the stories we heard are true." said Yugi.

"So….you know about that…..about…?" Paige asked her grandfather as she points to the Millennium Puzzle, causing him to shrug his shoulders. "Looks like I'm tripling the ingredients in my deserts, just in case."

"And your friend, Professor Hawkins, is that where your Blue Eyes White Dragon came from?" asked Tea. "He gave it to you?"

"That's right." said Grandpa.

"Liar!" screamed Rebecca. "You were never his friend! My grandpa would never have given away his Blue Eyes White Dragon. You stole it, I know you did! Isn't that right, Teddy?"

"No, Rebecca, I didn't." Grandpa tells her. "I couldn't have because at that precise moment, that ancient tomb caved in around us."

"The tomb caved in?" Rebecca asked as the others gasped.

[Flashback]

"Yes, and we thought we were lost." said Grandpa.

The tomb caved in around Professor Hawkins and Grandpa. "Solomon!" Professor Hawkins called out, looking for the Muto patriarch through the rubble.

"Over here, Arthur!" said Grandpa. "Are you all right?"

"I think so, but the cave-in has trapped us in this tomb!" said Professor Hawkins. "There's no way out! Wait, I've found the lamp."

"As time passed, we feared the Pharaoh's grave would become ours, as well." said Grandpa. "We consumed what little food we had with us. Soon, nothing was left but a canteen of water, enough for only one person."

"Solomon?" Professor Hawkins asked, looking at the man as he held the canteen in his hands.

"Yes, Arthur?"

"What would you say to a duel?" asked Professor Hawkins as he pulls out his dueling deck.

"Now?" questioned Grandpa.

"It'll help keep our spirits up and give us something to think about besides our being trapped." said Professor Hawkins, looking at his deck before looking over at Grandpa. "Its better than sitting quietly in the dark, waiting for the end to come, eh?"

"Hmm, point taken." said Grandpa, then clears a spot for their duel. "Arthur, I have an idea."

"I'm listening." said the professor.

"We have only a small amount of water left." said Grandpa, then shares his idea. "There's not enough for two people, so if we try to share it the chances are that neither of us will walk out of this tomb alive. I propose that the last of the water should go to the winner of this duel. Do you agree?"

"Sadly, I do." said Professor Hawkins.

"And so, our grim duel began." said Grandpa.

Professor Hawkins and Grandpa Muto began their duel as they were trapped in the tomb.

"In his first turn, the card that Arthur played was the Witch of the Black Forest." Grandpa explained.

[Flashback ends]

"Sounds familiar, Rebecca?" Grandpa asked her.

"It's the same card she played." said Yugi.

"Creepy." said Paige.

"That's right, Yugi and Paige." said Grandpa, then turns back to Rebecca. "It was your grandfather who taught you to duel, wasn't it?"

Rebecca scoffs at Grandpa's question, looking away. "Never mind her!" said Tea. "Go on with the story!"

"Well, you see…" said Grandpa, but was rudely interrupted.

"No more lies!" shouted Rebecca. "Why should I believe you?! You could be making this whole stupid story up!"

"Mr. Muto doesn't lie." said Tea.

"The only way my grandfather will lie is when he tries to be sneaky behind his youngest grandchild's back when she's baking." said Paige.

"Yeah, well, I think we should finish this duel!" said Rebecca.

"Oh, yeah?" asked Joey. "Well, some of us would rather hear the rest of the story first."

"No, let the duel continue." Grandpa said.

"Huh?"

Grandpa and Paige looked at Yugi, nodding as they knew that it was his turn. "Hmm. I think its Yugi's turn." said Grandpa.

"We know that!" said Rebecca, frustrated. "Why don't you butt out, old man, so we can settle this thing?"

"As you wish." Grandpa tells her.

"Good. I'll get back to kickin' Yugi's butt!" said Rebecca.

"Well, one thing's for certain." said Grandpa.

"What?" asked Tea.

"Other than being rude to us and calling you old man?" asked Paige.

"Rebecca may have learned dueling from Arthur, but she never learned manners from him." he said.

"Kaiba is a little more mannered than she is." said Tea as Yugi drew his next card.

"Maybe this will teach her some." said Yugi, placing his next card down. "I play Catapult Turtle in attack mode! Catapult Turtle lets me sacrifice any monster on my field! When I do, I am then able to deduct half of my sacrificed monster's attack power directly from my opponent's life points!"

"What a joke." said Rebecca. "That won't help."

"It will when I combine it with my Brain Control!" said Yugi, showing her the card.

"Huh?" Rebecca said, now freaked out. "Oh, no. Oh, no, oh, no!"

"With Brain Control, I can seize any monster and control it for one turn." said Yugi as Mind Control goes for one of Rebecca's monsters. "Millenium Shield come to me!"

Rebecca screams as Yugi takes away her Millennium Shield. "And now I use Catapult Turtle to sacrifice your Millennium Shield." said Yugi as Catapult Turtle aims Millennium Shield and fires it into the air, destroying it.

"AAH! Oh, no!" screamed Rebecca.

"And my turn isn't over, Rebecca." said Yugi. "Now….Summoned Skull attack!"

Summoned Skull uses his electrical attack on Cannon Soldier, destroying it on the field. "Your Cannon Soldier is toast." said Yugi and Rebecca starts sobbing.

"Its not fair!" Rebecca wailed as her life points dropped to 200. "I'm still gonna beat you, Yugi! I'm gonna get you, your sister and your thieving grandfather!"

"You know, if Yugi and I acted the way she's acting, Grandpa and our mom would've sent us to our room." said Paige.

"Ha! Guess Yugi's a little better duelist than I thought. Guess I can see how he won the duelist kingdom tournament." Rebecca thought to herself as she looks at the cards in her hand and then at her graveyard. "But he's never been up against a genius before, and everything is going according to plan. Lets see. Right now I have 6 crummy monsters in my graveyard. Not quite enough!"

She snickers as she drew her next card. "Ha-ha! Great! Fantastic!" said Rebecca, then shows the card to her bear. "Look what card we drew, Teddy!"

"Bravo! Bravo, Rebecca!" Teddy tells her.

"What's so funny?" asked Joey as Rebecca cackles.

"'V' for victory!" Rebecca said, smiling at Yugi. "I play this magic card….Judgement Blaster!"

"What's that?" asked Yugi.

"With Judgement Blaster, I can discard 5 cards from my hand and in exchange…" Rebecca said as a small purple dome was summoned on her side of the field, destroying Summoned Skull in the process. "I get to obliterate every monster you've got on the field."

"Wha…." Yugi said, looking up at the field.

"And one more thing." said Rebecca. "Now I summon my favorite monster….up from the depths comes the creepy and, oh, so lovable Shadow Ghoul in attack mode!" Shadow Ghoul (ATT:1600/ DEF:1300) appears on the field, growling as it awaits to attack.

"And for each of the lame-o monsters in my graveyard, this adorable fella gains an extra 100 attack points!" said Rebecca as everyone gasped.

"For each monster?" asked Tea.

"I lost count, man." said Joey. "How many monsters has she sent to the graveyard?"

"I think….it's 11." said Tristan.

"100, 200, 3…." Joey said, counting on his fingers.

"1,100." said Tea.

"We deal with idiots." said Paige with her hand on her face.

"Uh-huh. Shadow Ghoul now has an attack power of 2,700!" said Rebecca as Shadow Ghoul's attack points increased.

"What?" asked Yugi, as he couldn't believe what he was hearing. "You mean you sacrificed 11 monsters to the graveyard just so you could use their energy to power up your Shadow Ghoul?"

"You're just now catching onto my strategy, Yugi." said Rebecca in a smug tone. "You'll have to think faster than that."

"Rebecca." Yugi sighed.

"Now what?" she asked.

"Duel monsters isn't about tossing aside all your best creatures." Yugi explained. "Each monster has its own abilities and demands its own kind of respect. If you just throw them away…."

"Are you out of your mind?" asked Rebecca. "Dueling has nothing to do with respecting your monsters. Everyone knows the only thing that really matters is winning! Besides, what would a family of thieves know about a duelist's real power? I learned my dueling strategy from a master, my grandfather!"

"And our grandpa taught us to respect our monsters and the dueling decks we created. I respect my monsters by singing to them or by placing my deck next to the stereo." said Paige, crossing her arms and glares at Rebecca. "Whether I win or lose in a duel, I want my monsters to be happy and I honor them by doing music."

"That explains why Paige's deck is lucky." said Tristan.

"I wonder if I could do that with my deck." Joey wondered as he looks at his deck.

"There's no harm in trying, Joey." said Tea.

"Anyway, duel monsters aren't real. They're just ink on cards." said Rebecca. "What's to respect?"

"That's not what Arthur thought." said Grandpa.

"Rebecca understands the strategy and tactics of duel monsters, but she's never found the heart of the cards." thought Yugi.

"If anyone can teach Rebecca the lessons she needs to learn, its my grandson or my granddaughter." thought Grandpa as Yugi nodded at his grandfather and sister. "Hmm."

"You're keeping me waiting, Yugi." said Rebecca, getting impatient. "I didn't come here to take a nap. I came to duel!"

"All right, then." said Yugi, drawing his next card and places it face down. "I summon a monster in defense mode!"

"Hmm." Rebecca said, drawing her next card. "Well, well. What you think I lack in respect; I make up in talent. I drew a magic card: Stop Defense."

Yugi gasps at this, knowing what Stop Defense could do. "She's forced the Dark Magician into attack mode." said Tristan.

"And now, Shadow Ghoul attack!" shouted Rebecca. "Green Vapor Shrouds!"

Shadow Ghoul roared as it swings its arm, creating green vapors from its body and sending it towards the Dark Magician, destroying it on the field. "Bye-Bye, Dark Magician." said Rebecca, waving as Yugi's life points dropped to 800.

"Mr. Muto, Yugi's getting creamed!" said Tristan. "This couldn't be how your duel went with Professor Hawkins went."

"Yeah, Grandpa. Your duel had to be better than this one." said Paige.

"Actually, it went exactly like this." said Grandpa. "But the outcome of this duel may yet surprise you."

"I play Swords of Revealing Light!" said Yugi, playing his next card. "That will keep you from attacking for 3 turns, Rebecca."

"Well, that's really irritating." said Rebecca, annoyed by this. "Okay, then, if that's the case, I pass this turn."

"Yeesh. It didn't even phase her." said Joey.

"No kidding." said Paige.

"I can use this card….Monster Reborn….to resurrect the Dark Magician." said Yugi as he brings back the Dark Magician.

"Hmm. He's trying to reassemble his forces, Teddy, while I'm prevented from attacking him." Rebecca said to her bear. "But that won't save him. I'll play my next card in defense mode, and I'll tell him what it is, 'cause there's no way he can beat my genius brain. Whee! Another Cannon Soldier."

"Smart move." thought Yugi as the second Cannon Soldier appeared on the field. "She wants me to attack. But I cant let that Cannon Soldier get off a shot. You want an attack, Rebecca? Well, here it comes! Dark Magician, attack Cannon Soldier!"

Dark Magician fires his attack on Cannon Soldier, sending it to the graveyard. "Hmm. Thank you." said Rebecca as Shadow Ghoul's attack points went up to 2,800. "You just raised Shadow Ghoul's attack power by another 100 points!"

"No matter what card Yugi draws next, that ghoul's more powerful than ever." said Tristan. "Rebecca's strategy seems to be working. Maybe she is a genius."

"Don't count Yugi out yet." said Joey. "He and Paige learned from the master."

"Oh, I understand now." said Rebecca.

"You're using Swords of Revealing Light to stall for time, hoping for some special card to come up." Rebecca taunted Yugi. "But that isn't going to help him at all, is it, Teddy? Not when Shadow Ghoul can attack again. I'll pass this turn, too. But next time, when my ghoul's free to attack, I'll wipe you out!"

The Swords of Revealing Light disappeared around Shadow Ghoul, who then roared in delight.

[Flashback]

"So, Solomon, on my next turn, I'll be free to attack. But I'm going to pass this turn." said Professor Hawkins.

"If that's really what you want to do." said Grandpa.

"What card are you waiting for, Solomon?" asked Professor Hawkins.

"That's my secret." Grandpa replied.

[Flashback ends]

"What's the matter, Yugi?" asked Rebecca, still taunting him. "Didn't you get the card you need?"

"Hmm…." said Grandpa, thinking back.

[Flashback]

"So, Solomon, did you get the card you need?" asked Professor Hawkins.

"Hmm…." said Grandpa, staring at the card in his hand.

"Come now. Don't keep me in suspense." Professor Hawkins tells him.

"I surrender, Arthur." said Grandpa, placing his hand over his deck, ending the duel. "You win."

"Ah…." said Professor Hawkins, shocked that Grandpa would do this.

[Flashback ends]

Yugi growls for a moment, then places his hand on his deck. "I surrender, Rebecca." said Yugi. Tristan, Joey and Tea were shocked as Grandpa and Paige were unphased by Yugi's action.

"I cant believe it!" said Joey. "Yugi's given up!"

"The game's over, Rebecca." said Yugi.

"Unbelievable." said Tristan as Rebecca giggles at her victory.

"Yugi, why?" Tea asked her friend.

"You cant just give up, Yuge." said Joey.

"Hmm…" said Grandpa.

"You mean I win?" asked Rebecca.

"Yes. You win, Rebecca." said Yugi.

"Good! I don't need to see my brother being taunted by a little girl." said Paige. "Only Tea and I have that honor."

"We do?" Tea asked, confused.

"Yeah….who else could be my future sister in law? Mai?" asked Paige as Tea blushes.

"Bravo! Yay, me!" Rebecca cheered as held her bear. "We beat him, Teddy. Rebecca the genius wins! Whee!"

"I don't get it. Why did you surrender?" Tea asked Yugi as Rebecca runs over to them.

"Yeah, what's up with that, Yuge?" asked Joey.

"I won! Now give me the Blue Eyes." Rebecca demanded.

"Such a rude and demanding child." Paige commented as Grandpa gets the Blue Eyes White Dragon. Rebecca gasps as she sees what happened to the card.

"You tore it! Oh, no!" cried Rebecca. "You destroyed my grandfather's favorite card!"

"It wasn't me, Rebecca. I…." Grandpa tried to explain.

"First you steal it, then you lie, then you ruined it!" Rebecca accused the man. "You despicable, mean man!"

"I treasured that card, Rebecca." Grandpa tries to tell her. "I would never have destroyed it."

"Hey!" said Paige, getting in Rebecca's personal space. "You're being a mean, despicable rude little girl!"

"I am not!" said Rebecca, then turns to Grandpa. "I've heard just about enough of your lies!"

"Rebecca, behave yourself." said Professor Hawkins as he walks into the arena.

"Grandpa?" asked Rebecca.

"Arthur? Arthur, is that really you?" asked Grandpa.

"Its been a long time, Solomon." said Professor Hawkins.

"Far too long, my dear old friend." said Grandpa.

"I do hope my precocious granddaughter hasn't caused you too much trouble." said Professor Hawkins, then walks over to Yugi's side of the field. "Can you forgive her?"

"For what?" asked Rebecca.

"Rebecca, did you know Yugi was actually the winner of your duel?" Professor Hawkins asked his granddaughter.

"No, Grandpa, I won!" Rebecca bleated out.

"Yugi, you're just like your grandfather." said Professor Hawkins. "You're a generous young man and a very fine duelist."

"What am I? Chopped Suey?" Paige asked the others as Professor Hawkins takes a look at Yugi's next card.

"Apparently, you are." said Joey.

"I knew it." Professor Hawkins said, drawing Yugi's next card. "Rebecca, have a look at this card." Rebecca takes a look at Yugi's next card, gasping as she sees that it was a magic card. "It's a card called, Soul Release. If Yugi had played this card in the final turn, you would have been defeated for certain. With Soul Release, Yugi could have freed up to 5 cards from his graveyard, or yours."

"Cool." said Paige.

"Paige, you know about that card." said Yugi.

"Do you realize what that means?" Professor Hawkins asked his granddaughter. "Your Shadow Ghoul's attack power would have instantly dropped from 2,800 to 2,300. Yugi's Dark Magician had an attack power of 2,500, and therefore…."

"You mean Yugi didn't really had to surrender?" asked Rebecca, then turns to Yugi. "Then why?"

"Don't you understand?" asked Professor Hawkins as Yugi didn't know what to say. "Yugi wanted to show you that there's much more to dueling than just winning and losing. He wanted you to see that the way to the heart of the cards is through your own heart."

"Hmm."

"After that tomb collapsed and we bet our last drop of water on the duel, Solomon also sacrificed a victory to save my life." said Professor Hawkins.

"Oh!" said Joey as Rebecca gasps.

"I felt weak, over come by the heat." said Professor Hawkins.

[Flashback]

"Hold on, my friend." said Grandpa as he gives Professor Hawkins the water.

"You didn't have to surrender." said Professor Hawkins, breathing heavily.

"I couldn't let you lose this duel, Arthur." said Grandpa. "You need the water."

"Solomon….thank you." he said, then drinks the water from the canteen.

Just then, the tomb opens up above them, bringing in light. "We did it! We've broken through!" said a rescue man. "Are you down there?"

"Did you survive?" asked a second man.

Grandpa looked at Professor Hawkins and smiled, knowing that they were saved from the tomb.

[Flashback ends]

"He saved my life, Rebecca. But there's more." said Professor Hawkins. "In my duel with Solomon, its true that I sent any number of monsters to the graveyard to bring Shadow Ghoul to its ultimate power, but I never failed to honor those monsters for their sacrifice. In their own way, they were every bit as important to me as the Shadow Ghoul card itself."

"Oh…." Rebecca said, now understanding what Yugi was trying to do.

"Even more than monsters, though, a duelist must always respect his opponent." said Professor Hawkins. "In Solomon's case, I felt such respect and gratitude that I gave him my Blue Eyes White Dragon."

"Yeah, and he showed his respect and thanks by ripping it up!" said Rebecca, glaring at Grandpa. Paige's eye starts twitching as Joey and Tristan grabbed her arms in order to prevent her from going after the young girl.

"It was damaged, Arthur. Forgive me." said Grandpa as he showed the card.

"That doesn't matter, Solomon." said Professor Hawkins. "What matters is that you kept it as a token of our friendship. You valued the card not for its rarity, but what it represents….the bond between us. Now do you understand, Rebecca? Great duels can form the basis of great and lasting friendships because the cards are about heart."

"My heart?" Rebecca asked.

"I'm calm…..I'm calm." Paige told Tristan and Joey. "I'm not going to fight."

"The heart of every duelist." he tells her. "And the heart of the cards. That's what Yugi was trying to show you and demonstrates for his sister."

"Oh, Yugi, Paige, I'm sorry." said Rebecca.

"Its okay, Rebecca." said Yugi as Paige nodded.

"You mean you forgive me?" she asked.

"As long as you keep your attitude in check and not be rude a whole lot, you're forgiven." said Paige.

"Sure. Here, take this card." said Yugi, giving the card that was given to him by Pegasus.

"The Ties of Friendship?" asked Rebecca.

"Yeah. I'd like you to have it." said Yugi.

"Thank you, Yugi." said Rebecca.

"Say, Solomon, its been ages since you and I have dueled." said Professor Hawkins.

"Is that a challenge I hear, Arthur?" asked Grandpa.

"Oh, wow! This I gotta see." said Joey. "Duelin' Grandpas!"

"Oh my god! Joey!" said Paige.

"Mr. Muto, remember, you just got out of the hospital." said Tristan.

"Yes, but I can outduel any of you young Turks even if I was still in a coma." said Grandpa.

"Oh, grandpa." said Paige as they all laughed at this.
