On the evening of Sunday, November 2nd, 1997, Amycus and Alecto Carrow called a meeting of all teachers in the staffroom.

"So," called out Amycus the nanosecond they were all seated, "Alecto and I have an important edict to give you all regarding student discipline.

."Namely," continued Alecto, "We expect all students who have broken the rules or stepped out of line to be referred to us.

"We will then determine appropriate punishment for the episode in question," snarled Amycus.

"It's our way or the highway, now," spat Alecto, "You agree, Severus?"

"Yes," said Snape smoothly.

Flitwick, Sprout, McGonagall, Slughorn, Vector, Trelawney, Sinistra, Hagrid, Grubbly Plank, and Twycross all exchanged looks as though telling each other.

"We will obey this command as infrequently as possible,"

"Well," said Flitwick calmly, easily pretending that he would obey the edict unconditionally, "What types of things do you want us to report the students for?"

"Any act of defiance by any student against pure blood culture should be brought to our attention immediately," said Amycus hungrily, "Any such students shall earn a detention that shall consist of having the Cruciatus Curse placed upon him or her. It's a good way my students to get some practice at Cruciatus Cuse."

"Any criticism of pure blood customs or any muggle sympatric comments by any student shall be considered an act of defiance against pure blood culture," added Alecto.

"Wizards should know better by now than to mate with muggles, " declared Amycus, "Our family trees have become too tainted with mudblood filth. No matter, the Dark Lord will see to it that a pure wizarding society wins out in the end."

"After the Dark Lord has won this war," exclaimed Alecto passionately, "He will go down as the hero that trimmed the infestation of muggle scum off of our family trees."

"Pure wizarding blood is going to be counting for more going forward," warned Snape, "The best thing you can all do is get on board with it."

"If you are concerned about any student being insubordinate against you," Amycus told all the teachers, "Bring him or her to me and I will make him or her respect you."

"You should all make it abundantly clear in your next lessons that obedience is A Very Good Thing," added Alecto sharply, "It needs to be made clear and obvious to our student body that the inmates aren't going to run the asylum."

Flitwick, Sprout, McGonagall, Slughorn, Vector, Trelawney, Sinistra, Hagrid, Grubbly Plank, and Twycross all exchanged those silent looks again, all knowing they would help Snape and the Carrows as little as possible and protect the students as much as possible.

"Mr. Carrow and Madam Carrow," bowed Sprout, "I promise to do whatever I can to keep the student body in line and to be aggressive in disciplining students who fail to fall in line."

"Yes," piped up Flitwick, giving the Carrows a bow of his own, "If any student is not conforming to the norms, values, and standards you have discussed tonight, I will contact you about him or her right away. Mr. Carrow and Madam Carrow, it is my honor to serve you two.":

"Good," replied Amycus, "Hopefully we can get our world in order while the Dark Lord wins this war.

"Muggles," cried Alecto passionately, "Should be declared as beasts by the Ministry of Magic and given an XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX rating."

"With any luck," exclaimed Alecto with an insane grin, "The Ministry will do that within the next few days and the next few nanoseconds. Muggles are filthy animals. They are deserving of nothing but death."

"Wizard domination for the Greater Good," cried Amycus, "An all wizarding world will be a much better world and we can have peace forevermore after the Dark Lord wins this war and does away with muggle and mudblood canker."

"The students here aren't going to go rouge," insisted Alecto, "It's our job to make sure of that."

Do you all promise to report any misbehaving, out of line, insubordinate, or defiant student to us?" grilled Amycus."

"Yes," chorused Flitwick, Sprout, McGonagall, Vector, Trelawney, Sinistra, Hagrid, Grubbly Plank, and Twycross.

"Then you may go," said Amycus and Alecto together, "We have some things to discuss with Severus regarding the Dark Lord."

Flitwick, Sprout, McGonagall, Sluhorn, Vector, Trelawney, Sinistra, Hagrid, Grubbly Plank, and Twycross all left the staffroom feeling uneasy.

They all walked silently as they split up, all of them going back to wherever they were going.

They couldn't talk and risk having the Carrows overhear them, but they all knew one thing.

They would be accommodating the Carrows as little as possible.

After all, the Carrows were not Legilimens. The Carrows would not know in many cases if they failed to report the students in question.

Unless it was absolutely unavoidable, Flitwick, Sprout, McGonagall, Slughorn, Vector, Trelawney, Sinistra, Hagrid, Grubbly Plank, and Twycross were NOT going to report any students to the Carrows or turn them over to them.

The meeting in the staffroom had been tense, but Flitwick, Sprout, McGonagall, Slughorn, Vector, Trelawney, Sinistra, Hagrid, Grubbly Plank, and Twycross knew they were going to do the right thing as often as possible to the greatest extent possible.
