Now, with all that out of the way, let's get going into chapter two of Plus Ultra: Into Eternity, this is Ranger signing out.

After leaving the bridge, Midoriya started to make his way over to the mess hall to get katsudon for lunch as his mind began to drift back to the artifact.

"So that artifact is Forerunner tech originally from this universe but how did it end up in my universe and more so why did it activate when I picked it up and why was it also in the middle of the street out of all places? The report said that Gruze found it on an uncharted planet at the edge of the Sol System. Has it been there the entire time?" Midoriya wandered as continued to walk down the hall of the ship unknowingly mumbling out loud as the sound of a door sliding open took him out of his inner thought and realized he was mumbling again as he stood in the doorway leading to the mess hall.

"Damn, after 40 years I still haven't broken that habit." Midoriya thought as he walked through the doorway entering the mess hall as he made his way over to the food line, grabbed a metal lunch tray, and took his place in line to get his serving of katsudon. After grabbing his serving of katsudon and his drink, Midoriya looks around the mess hall to find an empty table to have some privacy. Spotting an empty table booth alongside the windows that look out into space Midoriya walked over to the table booth and took a seat along the left side of the booth as he began to eat his katsudon.

"So the artifact is a prototype for a slipspace drive, if so what was the Forerunner trying to achieve with it? Were they trying to find a way to avoid the Flood and the firing of the Array? Maybe they were looking for a temporary home in another universe to wait out the firing of the Array and return after the whole universe was wiped clean of the Flood to rebuild their society. So many questions and so few answers." Midoriya thought as he stared out into space getting lost in his thoughts not noticing that Nana appeared in her holographic form trying to get his attention.

"Izuku, Izuku Midoriya snap out of it." Said Nana as she walked in front of Midoriya and waved her hand in front of him to get his attention as Midoriya saw Nana waving her hand and broke out of his deep thinking.

"Sorry Nana, I didn't mean to ignore you like that, just a lot on my mind from the meeting." Explained Midoriya while he finished eating his katsudon and started to clean up his table.

"I can see that Izuku, but what is on your mind that is distracting you this much?" Asked Nana as she looked at Midoriya with a worried expression. Midoriya stared back at the AI before sighing as he took a quick look around the table booth to see if anyone was sitting close by to listen in.

"It's about the artifact, the last time I encountered that thing, I got sent to another universe where quirks never came into existence and humanity progressed into space setting up colonies on other planets with myself being isekai as an infant with memories of my old life still intact only then to spend the next 30 plus years fighting to prevent the extinction of humanity against a highly advanced aliens force. Finding that artifact is going to bring trouble to this ship and all that is around it and this is after I had that damn dream earlier." Midoriya explains to Nana his concerns involving the artifact and his dream.

"It can't be a coincidence that Gruze found the artifact roughly around the same time that I started to have that dream involving it." Said Midoriya as he sighed and rubbed his eyes with his fingers.

"I can understand your concern Izuku, but that was back then when you were just a kid and alone when you found the artifact, but you're not a kid anymore or alone, you have me, Captain Hopkin, Commander Knapper, Gruze, and the entire crew of the Eternity." Said Nana walking over to where Midoriya had his arm resting on the table and laid her hand on top of his to show him her support.

"You should smile to show things are going to be okay, the one that smiles through it all is the strongest and you Major Izuku Midoriya are one of the strongest so show me your strength," said Nana as she put the tips of her fingers to the corner of her lips to put on her biggest smile as Midoriya just chuckled and follow her example and copy her action to put on the brightest smile.

"You're right Nana, I have just been overthinking this thing and I got worried about all of this." Midoriya paused and made a gesture to show the mess hall full of marines, sailors, spartans, and crewmates having conversations with each other as they enjoyed their lunch with Nana following his gesture.

"About losing all of this, this family we have aboard this ship and back on Earth, I already lost my family when I was sent here, that life is long gone but this life still has many years left that I'm willing to fight for it." Said Midoriya as he stood up from his booth to get his kit from his room and to meet up with Captain Hopkin in Bay 4 with Nana smiled seeing that Midoriya was in a better mood.

"Nana, one more thing, I think it would be best to tell Captain Hopkin the truth about us, about who we really are, and that we aren't originally from this universe. Even if he doesn't fully believe me about being from another universe, he should know the truth." Said Midoriya as he picked up his tray and empty cup to put away in the dirty dishes bin.

"I believe that is the best course to follow Izuku, I might not fully remember my old life like you but I might be able to help convince Captain Hopkin about everything you say with my own past experiences." responded Nana as she walked over to the edge of the table and held out her hand toward Midoriya.

Now, would you be a gentleman and help a lady?" Asked Nana as Midoriya smiled and ready into his pocket to pull out his phone to let Nana integrate into it so she could travel with him as she appeared on his phone screen as Midoriya began to make his way back to his room to collect his gear and meet up with Captain Hopkin. Arriving at his room, Midoriya enters the room making his way over to his locker to receive his armor.

"Hey Nana, I have been meaning to ask you this but have you remembered more of your old life back in our universe?" Asked Midoriya as he strapped on his shin armor before moving on to put on his chest and shoulder armor.

"More of it is coming back to me in pieces but it is all a big puzzle right now, just trying to connect and match the memories to each other." answered Nana through Midoriya's comm radio on a private channel after she jumped from his phone to his communication setup as he secured his armor before grabbing his ODST helmet from his locker and clipping it to the backplate of his chest rig after closing the locker and walking past his mirror and stopping to stare at his family photo.

"Nana, do you have any memories of your family? Asked Midoriya as he walked closer to the mirror and picked the photo up from the mirror. Nana appeared in her holographic form on his tabletop with a long look on her face as she seemed to be in deep thought before answering.

"I remember having a husband, but not being able to remember his name, and there were these two others with one being a blonde kid named Toshinori and the other person having something to do with a Torino? Said Nana in a confused tone wondering why a classic muscle car and a 21st century movie is something she remembered better than the person's name.

"A Torino? Like the classic muscle car or the movie from the 21st century?" Asked Midoriya as he put away his family photo underneath the chest plate of his armor before grabbing his rucksack and starting to make his way through the door as Nana's holographic form disappeared as she spoke through Midoriya's radio.

"Honestly, it could be both, I believe he was considered a grouchy man to most." said Nana as she laughed a bit with Midoriya chuckling alongside her as he made his way to Bay 4 to meet up with Captain Hopkin.

Upon arriving in Bay 4, Midoriya looked around the bay to see if Captain Hopkin was already there. Walking around the bay looking for Captain Hopkin, Midoriya spotted him standing alongside Commander Knapper and a team of Spartans most likely awaiting Gruze and his crew. Knowing that he has to talk to the captain alone, Midoriya makes his way over to the small group and speaks up to get the Captain's attention.

"Captain Hopkin, Major Midoryia reporting for duty." Said Midoriya as he stood near the group as Captain Hopkin turned to face Midoriya to acknowledge him.

" At ease Major, I was wondering when you would show up," Captain Hopkin said as he looked out the hangar bay energy field to keep an eye out for any Sword of Sanghelios ship.

" Apologies Captain, I needed some time to clear my mind. Speaking of which, can I have a private moment with you, sir? It regards my past experiences with the artifact." Said Midoriya which captured Captain Hopkin's attention as he nodded to the team of Spartans as they moved away to give the Major and the Captain privately to talk.

" Are you comfortable enough to tell me about it, Major? I saw your reaction when the artifact

popped up over the console, I don't want to make you relive any past experiences involving that thing." said Captain Hopkin showing concern and worry for the Major.

"I'm completely fine with it sir, and you should know what we are dealing with than to go in completely blind but you have to understand what we are about to tell you might sound insane." Response Midoriya as Captain Hopkin took notice of "we".

"We? Who else is involved with you, Major." asked Captain Hopkin as he watched Nana appear in front of him.

"Yes sir we, Midoriya believe it is the best time to let you in on our secret." responded Nana and she took a step back to let Midoriya take charge as he looked at Captain Hopkin.

"Captain Hopkin, the reason I know about the artifact is because it is the reason I was taken from my home and thrown into this universe." Said Midoriya as he told Captain Hopkin the truth.

"Not just me but Nana is also from the same original universe where 80% of humanity have some uncanny abilities which we called quirks, scenes straight out of comics and movies became everyday life with a new profession quickly rising which led to being a superhero a full-time job with academy and universities turning into Hero School where students can learn everything about being a hero and earn their license to be a Pro-Hero." Midoriya finished explaining to Captain Hopkin as the Captain stayed quiet thinking about what Midoriya had just told him.

" So, you and Nana aren't originally from here, and where you originally come from just about everyone has superpowers. Am I correct about this Major?" asked Captain Hopkin as he broke the silence after a few minutes to let it sink in.

"Yes sir, I have no reason to lie to you and I can understand if you feel skeptical about my claim." Midoriya said as he began to feel a little nervous about the way Captain Hopkin was rather calm. Captain Hopkin turned around toward Nana who had been silent.

"Nana, are you making the same claim at the Major about being from another universe where superpower exists?" Questioned the Captain as he stared at the AI.

"Yes sir, everything Izuku just told you is completely true." Answered Nana as she stood next to Midoriya to prove her point.

"You know Major, if I haven't known you for a good number of years, I would have you on psych evaluation but I do know you and some of the things about you are starting to make more sense now." replied Captain Hopkin as he stared at the surprise look on Midoriya and Nana's faces.

" What do you mean starting to make more sense? And you believe us too." asked Midoriya as he wondered what Captain Hopkin meant by making more sense.

"Major, I have seen you take on Elites and Brutes in hand-to-hand combat and come out on top several times, alongside that you have survived some of the most brutal fighting throughout the war and lift objects that are easily three times your body weight. It's easy enough to say that you aren't exactly a normal human, Major." said Captain Hopkin as he chuckled as the loudspeaker inside of the hangar bay came to life.

"Slipspace rupture has been detected, Swords of Sanghelios ships have entered the area and have sent two Phantoms on route to Bay 4." called out the sailor over the bay comm set as the naval crew worker began to prep the two landing pads as Captain Hopkin looked over at Midoriya and Nana.

" Looks like we have to finish our conversation at a later time Major, we have some guests to greet." Said Captain Hopkin as he began to walk over to the prep landing pad to greet Gruze and see the artifact.

"Well that honestly couldn't get any better than that, don't you think Izuku." Asked Nana, she smiled, seeing that Captain Hopkin believed them as her holographic form disappeared.

"Couldn't say it better myself Nana, but right now I have an old friend to meet and an artifact that hopefully didn't bring any trouble alongside it." Said Midoriya as he began to follow Captain Hopkin to the landing pad as two crimson and ivory-painted Mikpramu-pattern Phantoms appeared in the hangar bay energy field as a small fleet made of a single crimson and ivory-colored Karel-pattern assault carrier with several escorts of Ket-pattern battlecruisers finished exiting slipspace.

Unknowingly to both the UNSC and Sword of Sanghelios fleet, just outside of their radar range, dozens upon dozens of slipspace ruptures begin to appear as several purple-colored Kerel-pattern assault carriers with their escorts Ket-pattern battlecruiser exited slipspace as the much larger fleet make their way toward the two allied fleets.

And done with chapter 2 of Plus Ultra: Into Eternity within a week's time. I'm honestly quite surprised that I managed to get this chapter done so soon compared to the first chapter lol. Also starting next chapter I will be doing a small Q&A for those who are interested in learning more about this story etc. There are likely chances that I may have forgotten a few details about certain aspects of this story, most likely due to sleep deprivation haha. Anyway, all I ask for the Q&A is to be respectful about your questions, that's all I'm asking for in return for letting you ask me questions.
