Second spot and even more danger.

Finally second chapter! And guess what, things as always are going to become more and more interesting with each new chapter, as always XD

But here they are going to become bit chaotic too, later you will understand why kjkjkjj.

"All stand in circle around me and keep an eye on everything, while I'll be activating it, got it?" They nodded. Leaving the camouflaged van, they moved towards the spot and stood in circle around Emmet. He placed the device on the ground and started to activate it.

His fingers were hitting the buttons at huge speed, eyes dart from one side of screen to another. This time the process took longer and it was starting to get on his nerves. He could hear the hiss and growls that were slowly getting closer.

"Come one, come one!" Emmet hissed. Panic started to rise inside him, even if he knew that now he wasn't alone and his friends were near him, protecting, he was still feeling scared. These beasts are not jokes and he didn't wanted to lead his friends to danger.

His heart skipped a beat when he heard loud crack. The stick broke when something stepped on it. Emmet looked at the screen, only 40% done fuck, "Guys" He whispered but this whisper disappeared in loud gun shot.

Loud roar filled everything. Emmet looked at Benny in panic. Benny himself was as panicked as he was. He just shoot into creature, he just shoot into it and now other beasts know where they are, they now know where to go to kill them.

"It was an accident!" Benny yelled looking at Emmet, but nobody had time to do anything when another loud gun shot was heard and beast roared again. Looking to the right, Emmet saw that it was Unikitty. Glaring back at the forest he saw that this beast was slowly moving towards them on all four. This thing, unlike others they met, was huge.

Giant wings pressed to massive back, claws that were leaving huge marks on the ground, two tails with giant dark-green poisoned spikes. His mouth was huge and filled with sharp teeth. Dark-green saliva was streaming from his mouth and destroying ground, must be acid.

Emmet's heart started to beat faster. It was the first time in his… In their life, that they met such giant and scary creature. Creature that was ready to attack them any moment. But it was not attacking them, more like it was studying them. This thing was intelligent. Maybe even some bits of human mind were still working in his skull.

Emmet looked at the device. Only 80%. If they won't be able to distract this thing, if he won't be able to activate device soon, they are all doomed and maybe even worse than dead, "Guys, try to not let it get near, there is only 15% left!" He said and immediately heard new gun shots.

Beast roared and, opening its wings, jumped in the air. Benny and Lucy aimed their guns at it, at its wing and shoot. Loud roar of pain was heard and this thing started to fall right on them. If the first two moved away, then Emmet couldn't. He just couldn't because else all their dangerous mission would be destroyed.

"TAKE THAT YOU BEAST!" His eyes widened when in few meters before him flew their van and hit the beast before it fell on him. Beast let out loud roar and stood on all four. Unikitty turned rudder to the right and parked the van near forest.

Lucy and Benny snapped out of shock and started to shoot at this thing. Emmet shook his head and remembering about their mission, returned to device. Only 5% left. Only 5% and they will be able to drive away from here, just move bit faster.

Beast was roaring in fury but couldn't move closer to them. All three of them were shooting in it at the same time. Emmet was looking from device to beast and again at device in panic. Only 1% left, only 1%. Come on, come on, come…

"Yes!" Emmet smiled and saw that barely visible beam of light flew from the center. Immediately beast's growling became somewhat painful. This this was giving these things so much pain. But at least now, they can finally move to the last spot and activate it, "come on guys, let's get outta here!" He yelled and dashed to the van.

His friends immediately ran after and jumped in the van. Emmet turned the engine on and they dashed forward. Beast roared loudly and started to run after them, but thanks to the device he was slowed down and couldn't do this. They managed to escape second time.

"It was close" Benny whispered, his breathing heavy. Unikitty looked at him and, moving closer, jumped on his legs. He smiled and pat her head. She started to purr and this simple thing as purring, was calming them down.

"Okay, two down one to go" Emmet said and looked in the mirror, "But the only question is what this thing was… I mean we never saw something even at least similar to it and it's just… I don't know. Strange"

"Maybe some kind of their leader or alpha, who knows" Benny pat Unikitty's head, "I mean they are somewhat similar to animals, just more aggressive and dangerous. But thanks to god that they are not multiplying, or else the situation would have been much worse"

"Yeah, they are not multiplying but infecting people instead… Totally not worse than that" Emmet rolled his eyes. Where these things came from anyway? They just appeared in their town one day and from that they their life turned upside down.

"Don't worry, we'll find a way how to deal with this problem" Lucy smiled and looked at Emmet. He looked at her and nodded, sighing, "We just need to stick together and always be ready to protect each other"

"Yeah, you are right" He smiled a bit and suddenly stopped the van. This gained some surprised yells from his friends, but he pressed finger to his lip and pointed toward the house before them. There was someone and it seemed that he or she, was fighting.

"Emmet, no! This is the WORST idea that can come to your mind of ALL! What if the person there is already dying? Or already infected? You just can't risk it!" She took his hand and stopped him from opening the door.

"But what if not? What if the person there is okay and needs help? We've never saw another human being in so long! And even more, maybe he knows at least a bit about what happened here?" He looked Lucy right in the eyes, "We need at least bit of information, if we want to stop all of this"

Sighing, she slowly let go of him. He was right, they need at least bit of information. They've been kept in the darkness with no information for so long, they need at least small bit of it. Emmet smiled at her and was about to jump out of van, when Lucy stopped him once again.

"But I won't let you go there alone." He was about to say something, when she shook her head, "Please Emmet, I'm not thinking that you are weak to do it yourself, I just don't want to lose you too" Emmet sighed at that.

"I know, but Lucy." He took her hand, "I can't risk putting the lives of my friends in danger." He looked at the giant building before them, "Don't worry, I will do it fast, one leg here and other there, you won't even notice me being gone"

Lucy was refusing to let him do it alone, but they were just losing time, "Please Lucy, the more we stay here, the more it's going to night and the more it's going to night, the stronger they become." And Lucy finally nodded.

Jumping out of the van he smiled a bit and run towards the building. He took his gun and recharging it, slowly opened the door. Luckily it didn't made any noise and he was successfully inside. Looking around he sighed. God this place looked so destroyed and empty.

He jumped and looked around in panic. The loud scream he heard made his heart race faster. Maybe it was the person that was fighting with a beast. Emmet looked up and, taking deep breath, run to the leader.

Step, another step. He didn't notice how fast he managed to get to the needed floor, but now that he was there, all his fearless started to slowly fade away. His legs started to tremble, sweat stream from his forehead. Now he was regretting that he wanted to do it alone.

But he can't just turn back time and ask Lucy or Benny no come with him, "Come on Ems, everything is fine. Just do it slowly and carefully" He whispered and, taking deep breath, slowly moved towards the door.

It looked old and broken. Long marks of claws were on it and on the doorknob. This made Emmet gulp in fear, but he still slowly opened the door and looked inside. There was pure chaos. All the stuff was broken and lying on the floor. Furniture torn to pieces. And there was no one. No being, human or not, just empty room.

"Uh… Is anyone there?" He asked, not too loud, but loud enough for person to hear him. The answer was silence and it made him step back. He was about to close the door when something hit in it full speed and opened it.

Emmet fell on the floor and accidently pressed the was loud shot and even louder scream. The scream seemed to be something in between. Not the scream of a person, but not the yell of a beast either.

Looking up, he yelped and jumped back. Right before him stood person, or something that looked like person. Torse and head of a man, and the body of dinosaur. This thing let out roar and stepped towards him, but stopped and sniffed the air.

Emmet kept slowly crawling back, aiming the gun at its face. Left eye of this thing was bright red, while right was normal human eye and this human eye was looking at him with call for help. But Emmet couldn't help him. Nobody could. There was no way how to help him. No way how to cure him.

Emmet slowly stood on legs and stepped back. He needed to leave before it will lose all the humanity it had left and attack him. Moving towards the leader, he heard something that made him look to the left and immediately his face paled.

There were beasts, a lot of beasts and all of them were roaring and moving towards him. He had no choice but to run away from there. Jumping through three steps at one jump, he fell on the floor, before jumping back on legs and run towards the exit.

"Stupid, stupid, stupid idiot! Lucy was right, sometimes you are too stubborn!" He was whispering while getting closer and closer to the exit. When he was about to open the door and leave, giant thing jumped in front of him, making him back away.

This beast looked somewhat like a giant cat. But at least it was not that giant and did not had acid saliva as the thing they met before. Emmet aimed the gun at it and shoot. This thing roared and dashed at him.

He jumped in the air and kicking it in the muzzle and jumped towards the exit. He opened the door and run out of there before creature could turn to him. Running to the van, he jumped inside and pressed the gas pedal at the maximum.

Nobody said even a word after Emmet returned. They were seeing in what state he was and that he did NOT wanted to talk about ANY of what happened there. The only thing he did tho, looked at Lucy with stare of regret.

She smiled a bit and put a hand on his shoulder, "It's alright" She whispered. Now that they were riding to their last, for today, place, things seemed to be a little bit calmer and even better but still, something was not stopping panic from rising in their hearts. Making them look around in alarm.

Something inside them was telling them that something bad is going to happen. That this something bad is going to happen very soon and there is going to be nothing they will be able to do about it. That this something is going to change their life for the worse. Forever.
