And a reminder to you readers, I didn't neglect this story. I was able to make a chapter of this but my laptop broke, it keeps glitching. I had my cousin to help me fix it, but he couldn't, so we had to transfer all my story files to another device. However, in the process, some of my stories were missing or incomplete, so I had to start all over. That is why I didn't post anything and why it took so long.
So please, don't complain or blame me for the delay. I already have a busy schedule because of my job, and now I have people complaining about being late in posting a story.
Darkness was all Aliikai could see. She could barely feel her body. Except the aches and pain. She doesn't know what happened. She can't even recall a single event.
"Ali...wake up..."
Aliikai heard her sister's voice from a distance.
"Mo...Moana?"
Aliikai blinks and opens her eyes. And sure enough, her human sister was staring at her, eyes filled with relief. Upon seeing her sister awake, Moana hugged Aliikai's head happily.
"Oh, Ali! I was so worried!" Moana cries, eyes closed with tears falling down.
Aliikai croons and nuzzles her sister gently. "I am glad that you're safe and well too, Moana. But...what happened? And...Where are we?" Aliikai asked her sister weakly.
"Somewhere safe, far from danger." Moana answered her sister with great relief. "I'm just so happy you're okay."
"Same here, Moana." Aliikai said tiredly with a weak smile before realizing something, "But how did we get here?"
Before Moana could respond, two Death Furies, who appeared to be Aliikai's age, came in front of her, grinning widely.
"Hey there, sleeping beauty!" The male greeted cockily.
"…Um…Hi?" Aliikai greeted awkwardly. "…I'm sorry but…who are you?"
The twin Death Furies grin. "Where are our manners? The names Razor, and this is my twin sis, Calamity."
The Death Fury named Calamity winks at Aliikai. "Hey."
"Oh…okay…I'm Aliikai."
"We know! You're the Night Fury that can create blue fire! And boy, you show no mercy on those Deathgrippers." Razor said with a grin.
"…What?"
Suddenly, Umbra came in, swatting Razor with her tail. "OW! Mom! What was that for?!"
"Don't be rude! She has just woken up!" Umbra scolded her son before looking at Aliikai with an apologetic look. "I apologize for my son's behavior. He's been causing more trouble than his sister."
"Oh, come on, mom. It's not like we were gonna take her to Niflheim." Razor said, earning another tail smack on the head from his mother. "OW!"
"Razor, be polite." Umbra said to her son.
"I was just joking."
"Listen to your mother, Razor."
They heard Abaddon entering the cave with a bigger Death Fury. Aliikai and Moana gulped at the bigger Death Fury, but he doesn't seem too hostile…they think. Hopefully. Abaddon made his way to the bond sisters and greeted them with a gentle nod.
"How are you feeling?" He asked calmly.
Aliikai responded with a nod. "I-I'm fine, a little tired, but fine."
"Nothing hurts?"
"Only aches, nothing too serious." Aliikai assures him.
Abaddon nodded his head before taking out a small round-yellow fruit and handing it over to Aliikai. "Take this, it is a healing fruit from Alfheim, the realm of the Light Elves."
Aliikai and Moana were surprised by this.
"How did you get this?" Aliikai asked curiously.
"It was a gift from the elves after we dealt with some monsters trespassing their realm." Abaddon answered calmly.
"Wow…" Was all what Moana and Aliikai could say.
"You should eat as well, Moana. You need your strength." Abaddon said, taking out another fruit and handing it over to Moana, who accepted it.
"Thank you, Abaddon."
Abaddon responded with a nod while Aliikai and Moana ate the fruits. They were sweet and tasty, and they could feel their energy regaining and their aches disappearing. While they ate, Aliikai asked Abaddon what had happened to her before she passed out, since she doesn't recall any event that happened.
Abaddon explains to Aliikai that she unlocked a rare Blue Fire that is hotter than any dragons. It also can heal damages, but it takes a lot of energy, that's why she passed out, and why Abaddon came to their aid. For he sensed her power from a distance. He assures them that they will take them back to their friends when they recover, much to their relief. In the meantime, they will stay here until further notice.
"Thank you for saving us, Abaddon." Moana said with gratitude.
"Think nothing of it. Consider this a gift of friendship." Abaddon said to them calmly.
Aliikai smiles at him kindly, finding him very kind for a harbinger of death, until you remembered something. "Hey, Abaddon? Do you know where we are?"
Abaddon glances at his sister. Umbra gave her brother a gentle nod, knowing that they need to know where they are. Nodding back, Abaddon turns back to the two sisters.
"Both of you are in the safe haven of the Isle of Furies."
Back on Dragon's Edge, the gang were preparing to contact Hel. Tara ordered them to collect many black woods, and a boar. They need to contact her to ask the location of Moana and Aliikai. Gil, meanwhile, was treating the unconscious Deathgrippers. They build a makeshift cage, made with pure Gronckle Iron metal. It was risky, but they need information from them once they wake up. And they made sure Cayden was guarding them as Gil treated their wounds.
"Okay! All things are set." Tara said, preparing some Hellebore. "We're ready to call out my sister."
Just then, Gil came running out the cage, closing it behind with Shocker before running towards the group.
"Wow, you okay there, Gilly?" Snotlout asked, watching as the Amphibian Man was panting.
"I just finished treating their wounds." Gil said between pants.
"Enough dilly dally, we have to call my sister to find Aliikai and Moana." Tara said to the group.
Everyone agreed and ready themselves as Tara began chanting to call out Hel. Tara uses her firebreath to ignite the bonfire and starts chanting.
"I call upon the Goddess of the Underworld. The Queen of the Dead. Daughter of Loki. And the Mistress of the Dark Arts. Hel!"
The fire turns green before showing an image of Hel sitting on her throne. Looking at them calmly.
"Hello, Tara." Hel greeted her calmly.
"Hey, sis, sorry to bother you, but we need your help." Tara said to her half-sister urgently.
"What is it, Tara?"
"Our friends, Moana and Aliikai, are missing. They were attacked by this guy." Tara gestured to Grimmel's body close by with his face covered by a cloth (Coral placed the cloth onto his face because she wasn't comfortable to see a dead guy's face) and then to her sister. "We want to know who he is and why he attacked our friends."
Hel looked closely at the body and frowned deeply. "Oh, I know this fool, his soul came to my throne and demanded me to return him back to Midgard to finish off his kill. As if I allow it! That fiend has no right to return back from the dead nor be reincarnated, so I made sure his soul goes deep within Helheim where no light can reach him!"
Her voice became demonic at the last part, causing Tara's friends to hide behind frozen Maui, peeking behind him to look at Hel with different expressions. Seeing their reaction she clears her throat and apologizes.
"My apologies, anyways, the man that attacked Moana and Aliikai is known as Grimmel the Grisly." Hel explains who the man was.
"I heard of him." Tara said in surprise. "He was an infamous dragon hunter. Rumor has it he killed all the Night Furies."
Everyone was horrified by this, especially Hiccup. Someone hunted down all the Night Furies!?
"He did that?!" Hiccup exclaimed in horror.
"By the gods, no. Young Haddock." Hel said, trying to calm down the young man. "Grimmel didn't kill all the Night Furies. Many are in hiding."
This made everyone relieved until Astrid realized something.
"Wait, you said many? So that means…"
Hel nodded her head at Astrid, "Yes, there are many Night Furies hidden as well as other furies Light Furies, Fire Furies, Water Furies, and more."
This brought great joy to everyone, especially Hiccup. Knowing that Toothless and Aliikai aren't the last ones.
"So where are the Furies?" Hiccup asked hopefully.
"I cannot say, for I and the other gods vowed not to show the location of the Isle of Furies." Hel said to them, surprising them even further.
"Why not?" Fishlegs asked, sounding sad.
"It is a safe haven for the Furies by Lord Draco." Hel explains. "He was worried about this species' bloodline disappearing, so he created the island for them. And my Death Furies will be the ones escorting them there. For they are the only ones that know the location of that island."
"If so, then that means…Moana and Aliikai are probably at the Isle of Furies, right?" Keoni asked the goddess. "After all, you said they know the location."
"That is correct, my Death Furies may collect souls, but they also bring Furies that seek protection against the Vikings. I will contact them to take care of your friends and bring them back. I promise."
"Thanks, sis, that means a lot." Tara thanked before asking. "By the way, why did Grimmel try to hunt Moana?"
"From what I heard, he was hired by someone to hunt her down, thinking that she was the leader of your whole dragon rescue brigade."
This information shocked and confused everyone. Why would someone send out a hit on Moana? Sure, she is a leader of her people and the Freedom Bringers, but why just her? She's not the only one. There's also Hiccup.
"Who of the nine realms hired Grimmel to kill Moana?" Lani asked the goddess.
"As far as I know, this particular client is the leader of a dangerous army, who's heart is colder than any Frost Giants icy glare. A man who became the worst human being ever existed in the nine realm…his name…is Drago Bludvist."
Gotta keep this short. I'll be busy for the next few weeks. So, don't complain if I'm late.
