The Legend of Fairies.

Chapter Ten: Remaining Poe Sisters and Recovery.

Previously in the last chapter.

Lying unconscious and sideways on the ground was an beautiful young woman who looked to be near her twenties. She had long, scarlet hair with bangs framing her face, some covering her right eye, pale skin, diamond earrings on both ears and a slender voluptuous figure many women would die for.

Link noticed her own figure, while amazing and beautiful, was the slightest bit inferior to this woman's figure, something that wounded her pride as a woman.

The scarlet-hair woman's attire consisted of a metal breastplate with plated shoulder guards and a high armored collar, a short-sleeve black shirt underneath, a blue above-knee skirt and knee-high black boots. She also wore metal forearm gauntlets covering her fingers.

Link may not recognize the young woman who was unconscious, but Natsu and Happy did. They both shout out the name of the woman at the same time with wide eyes filled with horror.

"ERZA!"

(In the Present; With the Group)

Natsu immediately headed towards the unconscious Erza after getting out from his shock state, kneeled beside her and carefully flipped her on her back – he winced when he felt how deathly cold her skin is and he made a mental note to heat her up once she awakens – before placing two fingers on her neck to check for a pulse. To his great relief, there is one, but the relief completely vanished when he realized it's growing slowly weak as moments passed on. Why is the pulse growing weak?!

"Erza! Erza!" Natsu exclaimed, gently raising Erza's upper body from the ground and started shaking her a bit with the same gentleness. "Open your eyes! Please!" No matter how much Natsu shook Erza, she just won't wake up.

"Erza!" A crying Happy shouted, flying towards the two Fairy Tail mages with an extremely concerned Link hot on his heels. "Wake up!"

"It's no use, fools, she won't wake up," Amy said darkly with a twisted amused grin on her face, getting the group's attention. "No matter how much you shout or pleaded at her."

"You son of a bitch! What did you do to Erza?!" Natsu roared angrily, setting Erza down on the ground before standing up and taking a step forward towards the painting, lighting one hand on fire to make himself intimidating. "Tell me now or I will burn your painting!"

Amy didn't look the slightest bit frightened at the action Natsu did. In fact, she only looked amused, something he hated. "I merely gave the girl a little scare with my other sisters. It wasn't our fault she got so scared from seeing us." A dark chuckle left Amy's mouth as she remembered the red-hair woman's screams of fear upon seeing the four ghosts and couldn't do a single thing, due to being heavily injured. "And if she wasn't so injured from whatever attacked her, she would've been able to kill us all easily."

'Oh, shit! That's right!' Natsu thought with wide eyes as realization hit him like a lightning bolt. 'Me and the others got heavily injured from Acnologia's roar attack on Tenrou Island!' He would normally become angry from thinking about Acnologia, but his extreme concern for Erza's well-being pushed the anger away. 'No wonder why Erza couldn't defend herself against these bitches when she landed in the Forest Temple! She had still been heavily injured!'

"That's doesn't explain why Erza won't wake up," Link said, giving Amy a glare that demanded an explanation.

"It's because I decided to slowly drain her life force, which is keeping her unconscious," Amy revealed casually, her twisted amused grin growing as the group become greatly shocked at this information. "Don't worry, the life force I drained will return to her once you three kill me, but you have a couple minutes left until it's gone for good."

"Then we might as well get started on killing you," Natsu stated, not wanting to waste any more time since Erza's life force is on the line. "Link, please shoot the painting."

Link nodded and had just ready an arrow with the Fairy Bow to fire when Amy abruptly stopped her.

"Before you shoot my painting, there's something important I should point out and it affects me revealing myself. First off, do you three notice the five stone blocks floating above you?"

The group looked upwards to see, true to Amy's word, five stone blocks floating in the air. This caused them to become confused. What was the deal with these blocks? It was Link who asked the question.

"Why does these blocks have to do with anything?" Link asked curiously, yet warily at the same time. "And what did you mean it affects you revealing yourself?"

"The reason why I'm telling you this information is because these blocks are the key to reveal myself. Unlike Joelle and Beth, I won't come out from my painting when an arrow strikes. No, that's too easy and boring. The only way for me to reveal myself is by placing four necessary blocks, which they would fall after you shoot my painting, to match my painting in exactly one minute."

"We have to do a puzzle game in order to reveal yourself?" Happy asked, confused and baffled at the same time. Why on Earthland does the group have to do a puzzle game to reveal a Poe Sister? That's not only dumb but a waste of time because Erza's life force is currently draining with each passing second.

"That's correct, cat, but if you fail to assemble my picture with the four necessary blocks before the one minute is up, then you will have to restart again but the blocks will be in different positions, which will make the puzzle game harder to complete. I would advise get it right on the very first try. Oh, and if you are wondering where Meg is, she's waiting at the main room of the Forest Temple."

The group looked at each other with disgruntled looks on their faces. It was obvious they don't want to do the puzzle game at all since it's dumb and a waste of time, but they have no choice as they need to kill Amy in order for Erza to recover her lost life force. The only thing that brighten their spirits for a bit is the fact they now know where the last Poe Sister was.

So, with reluctance, the group got started on the puzzle game they needed to do in order to bring Amy game wasn't hard to do, it only requires moving blocks around to match the painting on the wall. With Happy's instructions and Natsu's brute strength, it took less than twenty seconds for the group to place the four necessary blocks to match the painting and bring Amy out. She looked shocked at how fast the group assembled the four necessary blocks.

"You three managed to reveal myself in less than twenty seconds?" Amy muttered, still shock at how fast the group assembled the four necessary blocks. She couldn't even use her invisibility power, due to her shock state. "It's not possible. You shouldn't be able to complete the puzzle game this fast. How did you-" Amy was interrupted by Natsu, who took her shocked state as an advantage to test out a new Dragon Slayer technique with his now flame-infused sword.

"[Fire Dragon Slash!]" Natsu exclaimed, swinging his powerful flame-infused sword and striking Amy, who let out a loud scream as the flames burn her body. She then disappeared like the other two Poe Sisters, but with green-yellow flames, which lit up the blackout torch nearby.

"That's a new move," Happy pointed out, never seen that technique before. "When did you have time to create it, Natsu?"

"Just now, Happy," Natsu replied, placing his hand over his sword and using his magic to drain the heat. "I gained the idea to make the flame-infused attack a Dragon Slayer technique after killing Joelle, but I didn't know what the name should be until now." After draining the heat from his sword, he placed it back in his scabbard. "Though, I have to make sure I don't channel too much magic onto my sword, otherwise it will melt."

Both Happy and Link agreed at the last statement. A melted sword after channeling too much fire magic into it would be a bad thing. It's better to use a small amount instead of a large amount.

After defeating Amy, the group decided to stay in the room they entered and heal Erza's injuries from Acnologia's roar attack. They couldn't use healing potions as it would only work if she's awake, but the least they can do is wrapped fresh bandages around her body. They first remove the armor set, then got started wrapping the fresh bandages. Natsu and Happy did the arms, legs and back, while Link did the front area.

After putting on the last bandage on Erza, who is still unconscious but had numerous bandages on her body, and placing the armor back on her, the group took a small break. Natsu sat against the wall with Erza's head in his lap, Link sitting next to him but had her head on his shoulder, something that made him blush, and Happy taking a small nap on Link's lap. Even though he made a mental note to heat Erza's body up once she awakens, Natsu decided to heat her up anyway because he didn't want her to gain hypothermia.

For a while, there was silence in the room as the group continued to take their small break with Natsu and Link currently lost in their own minds.

'So, this is Erza Natsu and Happy spoke about on our way towards the forest,' Link thought, staring at Erza from her position on Natsu's shoulder. She felt a scowl appearing on her face upon staring at the face that had made her jealous and angry hours ago. 'I will admit she is beautiful and looks like a warrior, but I will make Natsu mine. Make no mistake about that…Erza.'

'Thank Fiore I found Erza in time before those bitches could completely drain her life force,' Natsu thought, extremely relief coursing through his body as he finally reunited with one of his friends he deeply cares about. He placed a hand on Erza's head and rubbed it gently. 'If I didn't, then she would've…' Natsu didn't dare finish that thought or imagine it. He just didn't dare. 'Erza, I said before at the Tower of Heaven I made a promise to Simon I would always look after you, protect you even, and that's what I'm going to do. I will protect you, Erza, including Link until my last dying breath.'

Natsu would go great lengths to protect the two women he deeply cares about, even if he has to die in the process.

And done! That's the ending of the chapter! Sorry it took nearly two months for me to write this chapter, despite me saying I would get the next chapter up and running as fast as possible in the previous chapter. I've been busy writing chapters my other stories, coming up with new story ideas for the future but debating if I should write them or not and replaying Kingdom Hearts 3. I didn't mean to make you guys wait two months for this story to get updated.

Next chapter will be the continuation of finishing off the last Poe Sister and getting into the boss chamber in the Forest Temple since the group has healed Erza's injuries.

Anyways, here is a new chapter for you guys to enjoy and I hope it makes up for the long wait.

Write a review if you like this story and enjoy the chapter.
