Hey, y'all; sorry for taking so long to post this new chapter. I moved houses and didn't have my laptop to be able to write stories with it. I still don't, but I decided to make a small, entertaining chapter on my phone about my characters and Olivia as well as some more lore. As usual, I don't own anything except my characters.

(Olivia, one week before the events of the last chapter.)

Of all the things Olivia hoped to learn from, these beings were knowledge. And knowledge she gained, like how their species are called Betas and what types they have. They named a few, those being War Betas, Intelligence Betas, Medical Betas, Worker Betas, and more that they didn't list. Conveniently, they were color-coded as well: War Betas being red, Intelligence Betas being yellow, Worker Betas being black, and Medical Betas being a very light color green.

Also, another thing she found about War Betas was how fucking Dumb and unpredictably random they could be. She literally got injured three times by Kell, Illva, and Yondu cause of them pranking each other.

*Flashback.*

Olivia was peacefully walking around the area of the hidden base, looking for the cafeteria. Upon arriving at the door, she entered. Inside, she saw Yondu sitting at a table, prepping some pancakes with other random food items beside him. "Hey, Yondu, what are you up to?"

"I am trying to make a haymaker pancake." He said as if he was promoting a genius invention.

"Oookkaaayy. And that is?"

"I have no fucking clue." He said, still having the same excitement. Then, all of a sudden, Kellion, out of nowhere, broke through the wall at the other end of the cafeteria, holding a rocket launcher, yelling.

"ELEMENT OF SURPRISE!" Next thing she knew, she was in a hospital bed, giving Kell a death glare as he stood by her bed.

The next day, she was out (thank God for their advanced healing tech), and she returned to the cafeteria to get something to eat. Again, there was Yondu, with Kell attempting to make the haymaker pancake.

Upon noticing Kell there, he shrunk under her glare for injuring her with the rocket blast. Soon, she focuses her attention back on Yondu. "Attempting it again?"

"Yeah, after this dumbass here blew up the cafeteria and you here. Thankfully, nothing bad should-"

Upon saying that, Illva comes in by kicking the cafeteria doors down and saying. "Blows up pancakes with mind!"

The next thing she knew was Yondu yelling, "Mah fuckin' pancakes!" Then, there was an explosion, and she was sent to the hospital bed in their base camp. AGAIN.

So, on the third day, unsurprisingly, she had a bad mood after being sent to urgent care twice. But still, the cafeteria is where they had the only food for her. So she had no choice but to go there. But thankfully, the doctors there accompanied her to make sure she didn't get injured again and to give an earful to those that hurt her. But before she opened the cafeteria door, the door blew up, and she was sent flying to the wall. And ever since then, she's been afraid of returning to the cafeteria.

Flashback end*

Those were some very painful three days. She shivered upon remembering those events.

"Hey, Ollie." Upon hearing an unexpected voice, Olivia let out a scream. Turning quickly, she saw Kellion, and she instantly gave him the evil eye. "Still mad about the explosion, huh?" Upon not saying anything and her still giving him the look of 'Fuck you,' he sighed.

"I thought you may wanna have this." Which gave her a weird box shape objected. Lifting an eyebrow, Olivia activated her arm prosthetics and grabbed the box.

"What's this?" Looking quizzically at the box.

"It's a forcefield." Upon hearing that, she opened her eyes wide at that. "Since you kept getting hurt by us due to us being bored dumbasses, we decided to commission a forcefield for you so you would get hurt less by us. And also any dangerous experiments you may want to do as well." At that, Olivia smiled at him.

"Thanks, Kell, but I'm still mad at y'all."

"Eh, baby steps." At that, they laughed until another explosion was heard in the distance. The next thing they knew was seeing Yondu flying past them in the air at incredible speeds. "Huh, I guess he made the haymaker pancake successfully."

"Huh?"

Devlin the Bandit: The Lilim being forced to abandon their mother's ideals isn't captured by the Betas here, but by someone who works with them. You'll see me soon. And I'm glad you're enjoying the limits they have in terms of resources. And for the kids, well, they'll live a very good life with them.
