Here is the second chapter of this story released when I wanted it to be in keeping with my self-imposed upload requirements. The Black Bulls know what is being asked of them so it's time to regroup and after being informed of the situation leave the Clover Kingdom for Earth Land and the Fiore Kingdom. As such this will be the last chapter set in Clover in this story and starting next chapter we will be in Earth Land and the crossover will really take flight. One additional thing that I will clarify here is that while there are no explicit plans for pairings right off the bat, mainly due to Asta and Natsu's densities in this regard, I do hope that over time and in conjunction with manga developments if possible to have Natsu x Lucy and Asta x Noelle as the two pairings for the main characters in the series. This will be a slow burn in both regards and of course Mimosa will do her best to win Asta's heart as well so she's always a factor but I want any pairings to be developed steadily and naturally over time so that they go smoothly. I do intend to have Noelle come to terms with things during this series at the very least, not sure when mind you but she will and that will be faster than she manages in the manga, along with Lucy being more in tune with her own feelings but all in good time and I am sure that Juvia will be of assistance in her own way when it comes to it. Lastly, I am fully up to date with both Black Clover's manga and Fairy Tail 100 year Quest so I am aware of all the developments in those regards and I do intend for Asta to come to his realization in this story but when the time is right so that it works naturally and after that, well, the royal hearts that he's captured will be able to up their competition for his I'm sure of it. That is all the administrative stuff I have for you but there were a few questions after last chapter that need answering and which will help clarify a few things going forward so I will answer them now. Do keep the reviews coming as I enjoy hearing from those who enjoy my work.
How much of a difference will there be in power between the characters of Black Clover and Fairy Tail? This is an important question as I know some will be nervous but I would not have done a crossover between these series if I didn't love both and intend to do my best with both of them so that both get the justice they deserve. On the power front I have taken a lot into consideration such as magic levels (or lack there of), attributes or types, skills, experience, and how things interact to determine power levels so as with anything like this matchups will be dependent on these factors and many others to determine who'd win in fights and what not. Rest assured that should there be battles between the characters from both series, one series will not always beat the other but there will be a more nuanced style depending on what is going on and when such battles take place I will do my best to explain any reasoning for why they went the way they did when they come up.
Will some Fairy Tail characters be able to learn to use ki? As of right now I do intend for at least one Fairy Tail character to learn how to use this in time, along with a few others who might learn it but it will all be determined by the character's fighting style and new aspects of ki from the most recent manga arc will not be used as it is unclear if Yami knows them, likely not, so he can't teach them.
Will there be an alliance between the devils of Black Clover and the demons of Fairy Tail? No there won't be. This is becuase they are two entirely seperate entities with devils being sentient creatures who live in their own world and have their own magical attributes while demons are creatures created by Zeref for the most part as END is a little different due to his base and who use curses not magic so they are different. As such they won't be interacting though I may have some Fairy Tail characters know about devils as well as demons but I haven't decided if that will be for certain or not yet.
Hopefully that clears up any questions but that is it for this long pre-chapter note so it is time to end it so that y'all can sit back and enjoy the second chapter in Black Bull Banishment.

Chapter 2: Leaving Clover
"Are you sure that this is a good idea Mimosa?" Klaus asked as he and Yuno watched her pack a case in her room in the Golden Dawn headquarters. "6 months is a long time to be away from the squad."
Mimosa didn't immediately respond as she was packing but she could see where Klaus was coming from, especially as it was all such last minute and she'd decided to do what she was doing without consulting them. She'd arrived with Finral Roulacase of the Black Bulls, who had oddly chosen to go see Langris as he recovered while she packed, and right away was met by Captain Vangeance who told her that he'd received word from Julius on the situation and approved of it while wishing her luck and apologizing for the role he'd played in the elf incident.
It had been at that time, after Mimosa had forgiven him, that Klaus and Yuno had arrived, and she'd explained the general cover story to them as she went to pack with them in toe and asking about her decision. She couldn't tell them that she was actually going to another world where she'd spend 6 years there though only 6 months of time would pass in Clover, but rather had told them of the basics that Asta and the Black Bulls were to be banished for 6 months while Julius and others worked to clear him name. She was just going to be a royal and impartial observer while also providing healing services if need be.
Naturally Klaus had worried about it and had been voicing said worries quite a bit but that was to be expected while Yuno just seemed to be thinking on the situation in his usual stoic way. Mimosa didn't mind, it showed how much Klaus cared and had grown so she let him worry before finally addressing it.
"Don't be such a worrywart Klaus." Mimosa said with a smile as she finished packing, she wasn't bringing much as she knew that she'd likely end up changing her wardrobe in Earth Land to fit their style, but she was bringing the essentials that she knew she'd need for her time away. "I'll be with the Black Bulls; I know that you recognize their talents and Captain Vangeance does respect Captain Yami so it will be fine. Besides, someone has to keep an eye on Asta during this given how often he gets injured so may as well be me."
"I know that you are in good hands and will be safe, I have long since come to realize Asta's strength as a Magic knight so I know that you will learn a lot from him and the other Black Bulls." Klaus said as he adjusted his spectacles and he and Yuno missed the slight flush that Mimosa got at talking about Asta. "It's just you will be without any of us there, so I still worry as you won't be with any other members of the Golden Dawn."
"I'm a stronger, more accomplished Magic Knight now." Mimosa reminded them. "And I dare say that I will come back stronger than you two, I will be training with Asta and Noelle while away and we're going to be in an area rich in Mana so it will be good for me. I need to grow away from you lot as well and learn new things that a squad like the Black Bulls can teach me if I am to be my own person."
"It will be good for you." Yuno said with a nod before smiling. "And it means that Asta will be getting some good and different training in while he is away, so I expect he'll be back stronger than ever. I won't lose to him of course so I'll just have to up my training as well."
"That's my Yuno, you show that short idiot how good you are." Bell said from where she was hovering over his shoulder. "Now if only you'd grace me, you love, with such a smile I'd be really happy."
"Oh, I expect Asta to be really good when we next see you." Mimosa said with another slight flush at that as she closed her case and lifted it up while Yuno just ignored Bell for the moment. "But I should go find Finral and get going. The Black Bulls should reach their old location by nightfall and then once it is properly stabilized we can leave as Asta has to be out of the country by noon tomorrow I'd say, give or take."
"That is fast, but I wouldn't expect the Magic Parliament to be slow on this as they are looking for a scapegoat to pin this thing on even if Asta is not that scapegoat." Klaus said as they all left to find a dejected looking Finral walking towards them having just had an interesting talk with his half-brother that reminded Finral of how far behind he still was compared to Langris. "Ah and there's your transport. Well, good luck Mimosa, I look forward to seeing how much you have grown when you return."
"Yes and tell Asta that I won't lose to him." Yuno said with a smile. "He'd better work twice as hard if he wants to even be close to me when he gets back from his banishment."
"I will." Mimosa said knowing that Asta probably would be stronger than Yuno when he got back unless Yuno had some random, unknown trick up his sleeve like a second magical attribute in a strong, rare, magic not present in the Clover Kingdom but something like that would be ridiculous to Mimosa. "See you in 6 months' time."
At that Finral, who didn't say anything or even try to hit on Mimosa, not that it would work given her crush on Asta, just opened a portal to where their base had been before it became the raging Black Bull and she stepped into it with a smile and wave at them knowing that when she next saw her friends in the Golden Dawn she'd be a lot stronger than she was now. Finral followed her and in a second they were gone ready for what was to come.
Mimosa stepped out of the portal to a clearing in a wooded area that looked like there had been a fight recently, which in fact there had been as Sally, Rades, and Valtos had been here to collect the magic stone right before the elves' reincarnation as it was one of the three remaining ones that was needed. It was a quiet, peaceful place and Mimosa just sat on the ground as she waited for the others to arrive.
Captain Yami had explained to her after the meeting with Julius when he told Finral of the situation, minus the finite details that would come once the base returned to this spot, that they would travel over land using Henry's power, with Charmy's assistance to keep it up, to get back here by nightfall. Then Henry, who owned the base itself and made it move with his Recombination Magic, would restore it to normal, Yami had been strict there as any other changes would take a lot of time, while the others found his pets and made sure everything was as it should be.
Only then, once everyone was present, would Yami let them know of the full situation and they'd be off to Earth Land to serve their banishment there. Thankfully, almost as soon as Mimosa arrived, a portal opened, and a messenger bird appeared carrying a parcel that it dropped next to her before flying off through another portal.
The parcel contained the books that Julius had promised to give to them that were about Earth Land, few that there were, which would be very useful for them on this mission. So, while Finral pondered his life and desire to win the hand Lady Finnis, Mimosa settled into reading the books as she waited for the others to join them and for their 6-year adventure in another world to begin.
Mimosa sat there for several hours as she read as much as she could about the Fiore Kingdom, Earth Land in general, the wizard guilds there though she hadn't touched the book that was specific to this topic, and gleamed all that she could learn from them. It was a lot to take in, but she had nothing else to do so she was going to be as prepared as possible for the coming time away. It was the least that she could do for Asta to help him out over the coming mission.
All this time Finral was just wandering around muttering to himself about what he'd discussed with his brother and trying to get his life in order. He wanted to hit on Mimosa, but he restrained himself for Lady Finnis's sake though it was supremely hard with a royal cutie nearby and as time went on he was losing his willpower not to hit on her while freaking out over the internal conundrum that he was going through. Thankfully for him, just as he was about to go and put the moves on the girl he felt a rumbling in the ground and looked out to where it was coming from.
Mimosa too felt this and closed the book she'd been reading, she'd just started a chapter on the various ways magic was used in Fiore and looked up in the direction of the sound to see, well she wasn't sure what she saw. She'd heard of how the Black Bulls' hideout could move but she'd been busy dealing with her family's palace when it had arrived first, so she just saw the aftermath. This was her first time seeing the hodgepodge of buildings all combined together into a bull that was running towards them and it was certainly a sight to say the least.
According to Asta, the hideout was the house of one of the oldest members of the Black Bulls called Henry and was necessary to keep the man alive, though even Asta was unaware of the fact that Henry was actually the second member recruited by Yami after the Vice-Captain that none of them had ever met. The whole being kept alive by the house part had confused Mimosa, so Asta had further explained that Henry suffered from some ailment or disease or possibly even a devil's curse that caused him to absorb the magic of those around him with it becoming worse the closer you got to him.
That had sounded horrible to Mimosa but there wasn't anything she could do about it as her healing magic didn't cure things like that. Thankfully Asta could be close to Henry thanks to him having no magic, so he was his usual self around the man which just showed how great he was. Apparently Yami had found the house out here after Henry's parents had abandoned him here and decided to make it the Black Bulls Hideout which saved Henry's life as their magic helped keep him alive and so long as he wasn't too close the drain was negligible at best.
Now it seemed that Henry had awoken and shown his own dedication to the squad during the elf incident as he could fully control the house with his Recombination Magic though it only worked on the building apparently. Regardless, it was impressive to Mimosa who just watched it approach and then fall apart as the various members of the Black Bulls spilled out into the clearing.
As soon as they had arrived Finral and Mimosa stood up to greet them though all but Asta, Noelle, Nero, and Yami were confused about Mimosa being there. However, before they could ask Yami told them to go find his pets, three magical beasts that he'd rescued as babies after their parents had been killed for sport, as they had escaped in the chaos and might be feral now, so they had to be careful while dealing with them. Regardless, they had to be found while Henry put the hideout back to normal.
This had to be done right away as he had something to tell them as soon as it was done so they all broke up into teams to look for the beasts. Mimosa was about to volunteer to help and go with Asta who was going with Noelle and Nero to look for them because she wanted to help, well that and she wasn't comfortable with Asta being alone with two attractive girls while she didn't know what was going on, but she was stopped by Yami.
"Not you." Yami said as she got up to look while the others left, and Henry made a small hut out of parts of the building to work in with an outhouse next to it. "You aren't part of the squad while we are in Clover so it may be dangerous plus I can see that Julius sent the books. Any of them of use?"
"I've just been reading this one." Mimosa said as she held up the book on the history of the Fiore Kingdom. "But there are a few others here as well."
"Any about the specifics of the Guild system?" Yami asked as he puffed on a cigarette. "And how they are formed, overseen, and what not."
Mimosa looked over the few books that had been sent to them and quickly found one that was dedicated to the Wizard Guilds of Fiore and how they worked in detail. It looked like the right one for what Yami was asking about and handed it to him.
"This seems to be the one." Mimosa said.
"Good, I can read it while taking a dump." Yami said bluntly shocking the royal as he took the book. "I want to hit the ground running when we get there. Keep reading, it will help the rest when we get there to have someone informed on the nature of the kingdom we are visiting though I will make sure that at least a few of the squad find a library or something so that they can brush up on what we are getting into while there."
"Yes sir." Mimosa said a little unsure how to properly address the Black Bulls Captain.
Yami just nodded as he turned and headed to the outhouse leaving Mimosa alone and confused. She knew that the Black Bulls were rather eccentric, but she was only just getting to learn that they were certainly a true band of misfits. Still, it was clear that they were a close-knit squad, and she knew how much Asta meant to them because he also meant a lot to her as well. He'd certainly been the one to help make Noelle who she was today and that made Mimosa happy as she'd always admired her cousin, so it warmed her heart to see Noelle doing so well and soon she'd learn just what it was like to be with Asta for an extended period of time.
She'd sworn to get stronger to be able to fight by his side and this assignment would help her in that regard, so she wanted to be as ready as possible for it. As such she sat back down on the ground and kept reading the book while the others worked around her. She wanted to help but she was still an outsider at the moment so she would wait until it was time but as they would spend 6 years together during the banishment she hoped that the Black Bulls would come to accept her as if she was truly part of the squad in time.
As Mimosa read the rest of the Black Bulls went about their work trying to find the beasts, well all but Zora who was lounging in a tree and taking a nap. During this time Mimosa did get a pang of jealousy when she saw that Nero was in her bird form in the air flying around in the sky which meant that Noelle was alone with Asta, but Mimosa would get her own alone times with him as well over the coming years they were in Earth Land, she knew it, so she continued her reading as Asta tried to find the magic beasts.
All around her the hideout was being rebuilt back to normal by Henry, an impressive display of magic Mimosa noted, all while the squad was looking for the beasts. Finally, they found them and brought them back, with some interesting results as they tried to eat Asta again but showed their love for Yami before he took them to their pen in the hideout while the rest along with Mimosa went inside the main hall as he told them all to be there when he got back from sorting out his pets.
She'd never been there before and looked around the shabby but homely room and noted that it felt more lived in than the ostentatious Golden Dawn headquarters, not that that building wasn't homely to her as it was but there was just something quant about the Black Bulls hideout that felt more down to earth to her. It was just what she'd expect from the Black Bulls and stood to the side but near Asta and Noelle who sat at one of the tables in the room as the whole squad all gathered there.
Even Henry was there in a special box he made from the house so that he could join them without being a danger to them and be able to participate from now on. Only once they were all present did Yami return through the curtain in the far wall.
"Good, you're all here." Yami said looking around and noting that all but Nacht who was still on assignment in the Spade Kingdom and who hated Yami were present in the room so they could leave once he was done telling the squad about the current situation as it was best to leave as soon as possible. "It's time to explain what is about to happen over the coming time period."
"What are your orders Captain Yami, sir." Manga said a little louder than necessary.
"Will there be fighting?" Luck asked with a manic grin as he shadow boxed the air.
"Food?" Charmy added hopefully.
"Wine?" Vanessa asked as she slugged back a bottle she'd opened as soon as she was in the common room and in her underwear once again.
"Silence." Yami barked and they all fell silent. "All of those are likely when we leave but not right away as there are more important things to do when we arrive at our destination."
"Leave?" Magna asked confused. "We just got here, and Henry rebuilt the base. Why would we leave right away."
"I will not be parted from my darling Marie." Gauche said as he pulled out a picture of his sister and smiled at it while his nose started to bleed.
"You will because it is the orders of the Wizard King." Yami said which got everyone's attention. "And yes we are leaving but we are taking the whole base with us, so it needs to be the same for the travel part at least. Now let me explain what is going on after what just happened. Thanks to the nobles needing a scapegoat for what happened and unwilling to acknowledge the role one of their own played in it they have decided that Asta is at fault because of his devil power and some of them want to execute him for it so as to sweep this whole thing under the rug with his death."
This got an up cry of anger from the squad who all showed their support for Asta and willingness to attack the Magic Parliament if need be regardless of the consequences. Mimosa just smiled at that, she knew that they supported Asta, and it was touching to see it from them, she didn't doubt that if it came to it the Black Bulls would do just that on mass despite there being nobles and royals there.
"Silence." Yami barked again. "I know that you are upset at that and yes we would have stopped had it come to it as they intended on killing two of our members but thankfully Julius worked out a deal to avoid it."
Mimosa was a little confused at that, but she noted that Nero was back in her human form and standing amongst the others without an issue so likely her status as the newest Black Bull had been explained to the others. What Mimosa didn't know was that it had been explained on the way and they'd all shown their support for her as one of their own and how they already saw her as part of the team thanks to her time with them as a bird. It had been touching to Nero and while she'd spent much of the journey afterwards atop the bull as it ran through the kingdom thinking about things she was fully committed to her squad now.
"What's the deal?" Finral asked snapping Mimosa out of her thoughts.
"Asta will be banished for 6 months." Yami said and a glare from him stopped any attempt to argue at it. "And we will be going with him for it as a squad. This will give Julius and the other Captains the time to clear Asta's name while we train and get stronger as a squad for when we return to the Clover Kingdom. This isn't a normal banishment, however, as we will be leaving not just the Clover Kingdom but the world as we know it."
That did get a response as all the members began to voice their shock and confusion at that. It was certainly not something that they had expected, and they were very vocal about that, but Yami again silenced them with a yell.
"Enough." Yami said with enough force to shut up any more vocalizations from the squad. "This is nonnegotiable. We are going to leave Clover and the world as we know it for a place called Earth Land, a place called the Fiore Kingdom specifically, and spend our banishment there. Time will work differently however, one month here is the same as a year there so we will spend a total of 6 years there. There is magic and we can use our grimoires there, Julius has been there before hence why he's sending us there, so we will get stronger together. This is a great chance to surpass your limits so don't waste it or I'll kill you."
"Woah a new world, sounds manly." Magna said with a nod. "I can't wait to see it."
"I hope there are a lot of strong people to fight." Luck said as he once again began to shadow boxing the air.
"And new wine to drink." Vanessa said as she opened a second bottle and began to guzzle it while Mimosa blinked at how the witch was able to drink so much or be so bold as to be around so many men in just her lingerie. "I'm going to sample so many vintages that we don't have here."
"And plenty of new yum yums to taste." Charmy added as she began to drool at the table she was sitting at. "My mouth is watering in anticipation of that."
"Plus, beautiful women to…" Finral began before he fell to his knees and began banging his head on the ground. "No Finral, bad Finral, you only have eyes for Lady Finnis now. Stop thinking about potential new women in this Earth Land place."
"Insect." Noelle said glaring down at her senior and his stupid actions.
"I don't want to leave Marie." Gauche said before he suddenly smiled a creepy smile and his nose bled even harder than before. "But it will make our reunion oh so much sweeter when I return and with exotic gifts that only I can give her so I can do this."
"New people!" Grey exclaimed. "I'm so embarrassed I just want to disappear."
"And many new friends to make." Gordon said so quietly that no one really heard him but they all saw his smile that put them all on edge as it often did. "I can't wait to meet them."
Mimosa just watched and took it all in with a smile. It was clear that the Black Bulls were a unique bunch and it touched her to see how excited they were for this, so much so that as it continued she chuckled at it and that got the attention of Zora.
"I have to ask." Zora said gesturing his thumb at Mimosa. "What's the Golden Dawn royal doing with us?"
"Right, her." Yami said looking to Mimosa. "Mimosa here will be joining us for our banishment."
That got another round of responses ranging from confusion to intrigue from the Black Bull members. Most of them knew her by sight and that she was close to Asta and Noelle so they would trust their squad mates on this front because Asta and Noelle did, but they were still confused as to why she was with them.
"I volunteered for this." Mimosa said stepping forward and giving the Black Bulls a curtsy as she spoke to end the babble about why she was here. "I've worked with a few of you before and I hope that you can accept me on this mission as well."
"Why are you joining us?" Magna asked walking up to her.
"Because, well…" Mimosa said flushing as she glanced at Asta who smiled encouragingly at her and missing the annoyed pout that her cousin gave her though Noelle didn't know why that all made her so uncomfortable. "I want to help Asta, he's shown me so much since I first met him and helped make me stronger and more confident as a Magic Knight so it's time I repaid that kindness. He shouldn't be treated like he has been, so I want to be there for him when he needs me."
"Oh, that all, then welcome aboard." Magna said clapping her unnecessarily on the shoulder as the others nodded and smiled, Asta had made all of them better in his own way so they all understood where Mimosa was coming from. "We all know how much Asta has helped us, so we understand where you're coming from."
"She also knows healing magic which we will need while we are away." Yami said puffing on his cigarette. "Officially she's here as an observer to keep us in check but that's just a cover story to explain why she's with us. Given how we are going to be forming a guild, Fiore's equivalent of Magic Knights, she is going to be one of us for this."
At that Yami stuck his cigarette in his mouth and walked up to Mimosa as he pulled out a Black Bull robe from behind his back. When he reached her he held it out to the surprised girl as she wasn't actually expecting to receive one of the Squad's robes as part of her time with them.
"So, it's time to take off that Golden Dawn robe of yours." Yami said as he looked down at her. "From now until we get back you're a member of the Black Bulls, albeit temporarily, so you had better wear our robe."
"Y, yes sir." Mimosa said taken aback by it but she looked around to see the whole squad either smiling at her or at least not objecting and so she took off her Golden Dawn robe and folded it up in her arms to put away in her room when she was assigned one. "Thank you for making me feel welcome Captain Yami."
"You support one of us like we do, show us all that support and you'll fit right in." Yami said as he put the black robe over Mimosa's head and then turned to look at the rest of the squad. "But as that is all it is time to leave. We have until tomorrow to get out, but I don't see any reason to delay it."
"I'd like to see Marie before we leave." Gauche said but he fell silent at a glare from Yami.
"We have to leave but I am sure she will be fine." Yami said as he produced the key that Julius had given him and began to fill it with his magic, it took a lot to fill up that was for sure. "Let's get to this. It's time to say goodbye to the Clover Kingdom and see what this Fiore Kingdom is like."
With that Yami knelt down and thrust the key into the ground as instructed. It passed through the floor as if nothing was there and once it was fully in he turned it to the right 90 degrees. There was a clicking sound and suddenly a large circle of magic exploded outwards from the key and formed around the hideout.
Before any of them could say anything more there was a rushing sound and the whole hideout vanished, along with the ground under it for that matter, and they were transported to the Fiore Kingdom. With that, the banishment of the Black Bulls officially began.
Well, there it is, the Black Bulls, and from this point on I will be considering Mimosa a temporary member of them while they are in Earth Land, have left the Clover Kingdom for 6 months their time and gone to Earth Land to get stronger. They certainly have no idea what they are heading into but over the next few chapters they will learn the current situation and what they have to do going forward so plenty to look forward to in the coming weeks.
