Here is the eighteenth chapter of this story released when I wanted it to be in keeping with my self-imposed upload requirements for this series. Chariots has ended and the Black Bulls continue to show their surprises but can they keep it up as the battles begin and their next combatant takes the field especially because now they are facing the Guild that took in the Wizard King decades ago. That's right, once the first battle ends it's finally time for the Black Bulls to face Fairy Tail in a one on one battle but who will represent the Guilds in such a contest? Well, they're about to find out. Anyway, that is all the administrative stuff I have for you as there are no questions that require answering and no guest reviews need a response, though I thank all of you for your support. Do keep the reviews coming as I enjoy hearing from those who enjoy my work. That is it for pre-chapter note so it is time to end it so that y'all can sit back and enjoy the eighteenth chapter in Black Bull Banishment.

Disclaimer: I own nothing related to these two great animes.

Chapter 18: Surpassing Limits

"Well folks it's time for the start of what you've all be waiting for, the second round of daily battles in this year's Grand Magic Games!" Chapati said as the crowd cheered, and the Black Bulls looked down at the battlefield as the two combatants walked out for the match. "Our first match pits Blacksnake, the dark python from one of the true surprise Guilds of this tournament and current joint points leader Raven Tail against the hound of Lamia Scale, Toby Olorta! In a battle that nature knows well it's serpent verses canine, but which will come out on top today? Mr. Yajima, as always your thoughts on the match."

"I can't attest to how this will go but I do expect to see a clean fight today, after yesterday there will be a lot of close eyes on Raven Tail, especially now that they lead the points table." Yajima said. "So, I'm sure that we'll not see any surprises this time around."

"Toby is looking so ferocious, what a bad dog!" Jason said excitedly having not been asked for his input and making sure that Yajima's point got lost as Jason did an imitation of a howl.

"So, what do we expect from this match?" Asta asked the others as the lull before the fight as they looked down on the gothic man from Raven Tail facing off against a shirtless guy with a serious dog theme to him wearing only one sock while the other was around his neck for some reason that none of them could even begin to guess at. "Any idea?"

"Toby isn't the best on Lamia Scale's team, that's Jura, nor is he second as that's Lyon but he's still on the team of last year's second place Guild so he's not going to be a slouch when it comes to battle." Nero said as she looked down. "But Raven Tail has surprised us so far so we can't overlook them. Excluding the cheating they got away with yesterday they're still talented when it comes to magic power and this Blacksnake guy did come second in Chariots, which is basically first as Finral wasn't losing it."

"I know, I'm amazing." Finral said still basking in his victory.

"You won because it's a race and short of extreme speed that could outrun what you were doing there wasn't anyone who could beat a Spatial Mage." Noelle said though Finral was still riding so high that usual deflating ego comments weren't working at the moment. "Idiot."

"So, it's going to be close, and I don't actually know what magics they use." Nero said as the gong went off to start the match. "Which means…oh, er, guess that's something you don't see every day. Gordo, any ideas what's going on? Those look like they're poisonous so what's your assessment?"

That was because as soon as the gong went Toby's fingernails elongated though they were a sickly green color and not what you'd expect fingernails to look like. He then rushed at Blacksnake and swiped at him clearly trying to land a hit with them, but the Raven Tail wizard showed that he had really good reflexes, which after the speed he showed in Chariots made sense, and evaded the swipes with ease before putting some distance between them as it was clear Toby specialized in close combat.

A moment later Blacksnake countered by turning his body to sand and attacking Toby with a sand based spell that sent him flying. However, it wasn't enough to take Toby out of the fight, simply a warmup for what Blacksnake could do.

"The dog man, I'm pretty sure that he's using an item in his claws." Gordon said as he watched the fight and determined what he thought Toby was using. "Whatever his magic is it allows him to grow his fingernails and I recognize that color from my studies of the local poisons in this world called Paralysis Powder. It has the effect of paralyzing anyone touched with it, but it seems like fingernails aren't affected by it, or Toby either has an immunity to it or he's taken the antidote to avoid hurting himself with them. A rather clever strategy as it means a touch from them is enough for an average human who's not got some kind of magical resistance to that powder."

"And the other guy has Sand Magic like Alecdora." Mimosa said as they reengaged each other, both Fairy Tail and Lamia Scale cheering on Toby who was clearly upset about something that ended up in the pair making a wager with each other about their secrets, Toby's super-secret one in exchange for Blacksnake's real name which seemed like an odd bet to them. "It's quite…"

"It's not Sand Magic, it's a lot more that something as simple as that." Zora said as the idea of a wager on the battles took hold in several participants as Toby's attacks became more frenzied and faster, but Blacksnake kept evading them. "He's using Mimic Magic. It's a magic that acts like Copy Magic that that Rhya bastard has or Magical Drain though I am unaware of the mechanics of it as very little is known about how that magic actually works."

"And you know this how?" Noelle asked.

"Used some of my sources in Crocus's underground last night to get the lowdown on those Raven Tail cheaters, especially the three we didn't see in action yesterday." Zora said as the fury led to a large amount of dust that no one could see through. "The two masked ones are pretty much unknowns at this point as no one seemed to know anything about them, especially the one in the gold armor which was really odd as he's clearly the team leader, but that Blacksnake guy is somewhat known by the scum of this city. He's got a cruel and sadistic nature that is very much in line with a Dark Guild member."

"I've read about Mimic Magic, it's really rare, so rare that there isn't much known on it." Gauche said. "And it's been a while since anyone was last known to use it apparently."

"Makes sense for a Dark Guild to know how to use a magic like that." Nero said as the dust settled to reveal a beat up Toby on the ground and Blacksnake standing unharmed causing the bell to be rung to signal the end of the match. "And that dust cloud was annoying, covered what we could see. Captain, Asta, what happened in it? Did Blacksnake cheat?"

"No, that was clean from him." Yami said as the commentators confirmed the result. "Read the ki in that dust, no magic, no cheating, that was pure power strikes he landed on key spots that were left open by the dog guy's furious attacks. It seems like Raven Tail didn't feel the need to cheat there either because they knew they had it, they weren't facing Fairy Tail who they have issues with, or because Toby didn't pose a threat the way that blonde girl did yesterday. That or they just want to avoid any additional scrutiny after yesterday as they've not revealed what their goals are yet it seems."

"Yeah that was just a physical beat down." Asta said as the 10 points were officially awarded to Raven Tail thus increasing their lead even more and forcing Blue Pegasus to win their upcoming match if they wanted to maintain their tie with Raven Tail at the top of the leader board. "That was nuts, it was almost too fast to follow, and I feel like he was holding back in it."

"These people don't just cheat." Zora said a little unnerved as an attendant came in to get their competitor for the next match as they'd be introduced first. "They have real power as well. That makes them dangerous, we can't take these guys lightly at all, none of them."

"So, what was the secret?" Asta asked but was shushed by Noelle as Toby explained, to everyone's surprise as it was at a level of stupidity that they'd never seen before, that the secret was his missing sock that was around his neck and unnoticed by him, something Blacksnake pointed out with a tap to his own chest. "Oh, um…"

"That was dumb, not even my brother can be that stupid." Mimosa said as Blacksnake seemed to offer Toby a hand but instead grabbed the sock and destroyed it in front of Toby because it was something Toby prized so it made him want to destroy it even more. "And that was cruel."

"Even in petty stuff they can't help but show their true colors." Asta said with a growl at what he'd seen. "That's just low."

"Evil is evil and clearly they don't care about their image in the games, they're definitely here for something specific." Yami said as Blacksnake walked off. "But come on it's time to show our support and I have a feeling we're up against a new friend today."

"Now it is time for out second battle and first it's one of the two S-Class wizards from this year's surprise double event winners so far, the Black Bulls, Luck Voltia!" Chapati said as Luck walked out onto the field beaming with excitement at the battle and almost jolting in anticipation at being chosen clearly eager to face his opponent. "Against a member of Fairy Tail Team A."

"Who is he facing?" Asta asked looking over at where Fairy Tail Team A was in the stands though only 4 were present as their Chariot participant was apparently still recovering from motion sickness which made no sense as he should have already recovered by now. "You know Luck's going to want someone strong to face."

"It won't be Lucy; I doubt they'd do the same person twice in a row." Nero said. "So, it's going to be one of the others. Good chance its Erza seeing as they referred to Luck as an S-Class wizard so…"

"Elfman Strauss!" Chapati announced before Nero could finish surprising all of them.

Unbeknownst to them a mistake by Arcadios as when he'd asked the King what matchup he really wanted he'd said an S-Class matchup featuring that Fairy Tail wizard who could change but who's name he could only recall began with an E. As such Arcadios had thought that he meant Elfman and scheduled the second fight to be him against Luck Voltia as he was the other S-Class wizard in the Black Bulls and the one who'd not been seen in the tournament so far. Naturally the King was pissed at Arcadios for this, not that anyone but those with the King at that moment knew.

"Or it could be that beefcake who's a lot like our Captain." Nero said as they looked over at the mountain of a man who was clearly shocked. "This wasn't expected."

"Well regardless show your support for Luck." Yami said ignoring the comparison. "Because no battle is certain. Don't let the fact that Luck is a higher rank fool you, our system is different to Fairy Tail's so for all we know this Elfman character is a lot stronger than his rank would suggest."

The others nodded as Elfman recovered from the surprise of being selected and began to make his way to the arena after what seemed to be a few words of encouragement from Erza. Clearly Luck's rank caused some nerves, but the man was now determined, and he headed down and onto the arena. As they all knew how well Asta did against seemingly better opponents they knew that they couldn't count the Fairy Tail man out. This battle was going to be good.

"Woah you're a big boy, bet your super strong too." Luck said with a smile that unnerved Elfman as the man approached him, their sizes clearly at opposites making it look almost comical to those watching. "Yeah, you've got some strong magic, I can sense it, so you'd better give me a good fight."

"Jumpy and eager, aren't you." Elfman said not taking the man opposite him lightly seeing as anyone who got to be S-Rank no matter the Guild had to be strong, and after what they'd seen from the Black Bulls so far they were a clearly powerful Guild so an S-Rank for them had to be really tough. "And what's with that grin? It's really creepy, you know that?"

"Yeah I really like a good battle, so you'd better give me a good one." Luck said his grin getting wider. "And you're going to be really fun, I know it. I've been waiting for a battle all tournament and it seems like I'm going to have a strong opponent for it."

"How so?" Elfman asked.

"I've always wanted to face my Captain, er Guild Master as you call it here, in battle but he never lets me probably because he's so much stronger than me at the moment." Luck said. "And you remind me a lot of him. Not as strong magically, I can tell that, but then again I'd say that our Guild Master is at the same level as one of your Wizard Saints, but physically you're even more imposing than him and what's better you even sound a lot like him. It's actually uncanny how much you do. That's why this is going to be so much fun."

"Well at least you've got spirit, I like that even if your smile is really creepy in a battle mad way, so how about a friendly wager like the last match?" Elfman asked glad that his opponent was at least just having fun and not some cruel bastard like that Raven Tail guy. "Something nice and manly between two men about to engage in battle."

"I'm not much for gambling as I don't really get it other than that it's hilarious to watch Magna lose all his money at it but sure why not." Luck said not really caring about the bet as he just wanted to fight but agreeing regardless as he might be able to use it to get an even stronger opponent if he won. "What do you have in mind?"

"Let's see, if I win…" Elfman said thinking on it and trying to come up with something good and fun because that would fit this guy so it couldn't be humiliating or embarrassing and as such he went for something that would benefit Fairy Tail in the long run if he won. "You reveal to me the magic of both the last member of your team who hasn't competed yet, that girl with the silver hair, as well as who your reserve is along with his or her magic."

"Alright that's fair." Luck said as Noelle yelled at him from their suite about giving away details like that but he ignored her protests as he had his own condition for the bet. "And if I win you set it up so that I can have two fights with people in your Guild that you recognize as stronger than you."

"That can be arranged." Elfman said accepting the terms of the bet and deciding that his sister and Erza would do for what Luck wanted, if he could beat Elfman that is.

"Well folks we've got another wager in place and an interesting one at that." Chapati said excitedly. "And before we begin this match between Fairy Tail Team A's manly mountain of a man, Elfman Strauss, and Luck Voltia, the cheery berserker of the Black Bulls, do our other commentators have any words?"

"This match is going to be interesting simply because we really don't know what Luck can do but with that moniker, submitted by the Black Bulls themselves when they listed their team for the Grand Magic Games, and the way that Guild has performed you can't take him lightly." Yajima said. "But then again Elfman is on one of Fairy Tail Teams and his magic is rather varied so don't count him out of this fight. As such I'd say that this is a tossup so it should be a good fight."

"This is going to be so cool!" Jason said excitedly as the gong went off to start the match.

"And we're off with our second match of the day." Chapati said and Luck was already preparing his spell as his grimoire floated up and open. "And as with all the Black Bulls so far Luck reveals that he too has a book that aids his magic somehow. Those things are really useful it seems though from what we've seen they can only access one kind of magic."

"Likely a factor in their creation." Yajima said. "Something like that would be hard to make for multiple magics I'd say."

"Lightning Creation Magic: Holy Lightning Boots!" Luck said as there was a crackle of lightning as a pair of knee high boots made of lightning formed over his legs.

"What the…" Elfman began but before he could finish Luck had pushed off the ground and reached him in seconds showing that the lightning increased his speed before he flipped and kicked Elfman in the chest with a boom that blasted him back and into the wall to crater it.

"Oh, and is that it for Elfman already?" Chapati said as Luck landed and formed his Holy Lightning Gloves as well just in case.

"Aw, was he not…" Luck said but the rubble shifted and with a roar Elfman burst out and at Luck only now he looked like beast with a larger physique and musculature than he had before using his magic completed with hair all over his changed body, horns on his head and shoulders, and a white mane. "Alright, he got up. This is going to be a really fun fight."

Elfman just roared as he used Beast Soul to get in close, but Luck showed his speed by leaping up into the air before he could reach the blond boy, laughing as he did, thus evading the blow. Elfman was still prepared though, and the moment Luck was in the air he followed him with a leap of his own, cocking his fist back as he did. Luck had speed, that much was clear, but in Beast Soul Elfman had the raw strength advantage and as such he was able to close the gap on Luck and punched up at him the moment that he could before Luck could get another attack off.

Luck managed to get his arms in the way for a cross guard and took the blow on his lightning gloves. The force actually cracked them much to Luck's surprise though there was a jolt from them and into Elfman's fist that almost numbed his hand, but his enhanced endurance afforded him by Beast Soul kept him moving as Luck flew higher into the air.

"Man, you've got a lot of strength." Luck said with a laugh as he uncrossed his arms and held his palms down. "Let's test it some more."

At that he began firing a series lightning balls down at Elfman as he flew through the air up at Luck. They were raw mana sent out, or to Elfman Ethernano, but he twisted in the air to avoid them showing a surprising grace despite his bulky form. They would have hurt if he was hit while also slowing him down and Elfman didn't need that as he neared Luck. Alas for him the blasts were just a form of distraction in a way.

That was because Luck used them to get Elfman to evade so that he could flip in the air and bring down his booted foot on Elfman in an axe kick as he neared Luck. Elfman didn't have time to react to that as the heel of Luck's boot struck him right in the face with a boom from the impact before he was blasted down and into the arena floor in a matter of seconds with a second boom that kicked up a lot of dust obscuring Elfman.

Luck just kept laughing as he finally reached his apex and began to fall to the ground though he just kicked at the air sending his magic into his boots so that he zapped down fast to land on the arena floor as the dust filled it a moment later. He was still smiling and laughing as the dust covered where Elfman was.

"Is it over this time?" Chapati asked. "Has Luck won?"

"Nah, I sense his magic." Luck said grinning. "He's still fighting, this is getting really good. This guy is definitely strong enough to give me a good fight."

"Beast Soul: Weretiger!" Elfman roared as he ran through the dust and suddenly he was leaping out of the dust now a bipedal feline beast with a leopard pattern, white mane, and wearing only shorts as he swiped a claw at Luck.

Only Luck's fine mana detection allowed him to bend backwards under the swipe causing Elfman to pass over him before he leapt up and over the next one to kick Elfman in the head but all that did was stagger him and he slashed around to catch Luck in the side though it was more instinct than anything else. Despite the hit Luck just laugh as he flipped with it and landed on the ground to slide over it, leaning forward and placing his lightning encased hand on the ground to slow and come to a stop. The moment he had he pushed off it and at Elfman again going for another kick.

What happened next was almost too fast for those watching to follow as Luck and Elfman seemed to dance around each other with a series of swipes, punches and kicks trying to land blows but somehow they never managing it as they ducked, bobbed, flipped, and weaved to avoid them. Luck was managing it with his mana sense while Elfman was doing so with his enhanced senses and speed that Weretiger afforded him but sooner or later one would have to give, and Elfman quickly realized it would be him if he didn't change things up.

The boy he was fighting was a talented wizard with Lightning Magic that could possibly rival Laxus's, Elfman would have to ask Ever about that later though as she would know more than him about Laxus's magic, and he had the speed and size on Elfman as Elfman's bulk still hindered him against a smaller, nimbler, foe. However, Elfman quickly picked up on something from Luck, as talented as the boy was he was all about fighting with just his magic.

It was almost as if to him magic was what mattered, as if wherever these Black Bulls had been before they came to Fiore 2 years ago prided magic over anything else. That was all well and good but in a fight like this, if you could get past the magic and use raw strength then you could land something good on someone who's body wasn't built to handle it a non-magical, physical, attack.

If Elfman could manage that then he might be able to gain an advantage and so as Luck came in for a swipe at his side again, rather than evade it, Elfman set his feet, leaned into the blow, and clenched his first. The moment the blow landed he felt the lightning course through his body, but he gritted his teeth through the pain and shock coursing through his body as he took the blow and punched. Luck hadn't expected that, and Elfman's fist slammed into his face, hard, and blasted the Black Bull back.

Despite this Luck still just laughed, it was really eerie that he did so, as he took the blow and flipped with it heading to the wall. Elfman was amazed that the boy could take it, but he didn't have much time and he needed to act as Luck reached the wall feet first and bent his knees as he absorbed the impact, the wall cracking from it, before he blasted off faster than ever before the lightning armor still on him.

"Take Over Beast Soul." Elfman said as Luck shot at him and his changed form just before Luck arrived. "Lizardman."

There was another loud boom as Luck's boot slammed into Elfman's shoulder and forced him to slide over the arena floor a few passes. Luck was laughing as he did and kept doing so even as the boot cracked and then broke causing the crowd to gasp and Luck flipped back, the boot reforming as he did, to look at Elfman.

The man was now even bigger than ever before and had turned into a giant green lizard being with scales on his arms, legs, back, neck, and shoulders, an even longer mane of white hair, and again just shorts on though this time he had a chain on the left leg and a gold belt for some reason. Luck grinned at that, blood running down his face from the blow earlier as he set himself.

"So, you've changed again." Luck said his voice still eager as his body was filled with the thrill of battle. "And this one is even stronger."

"Yes, you can probably beat me in terms of speed, and possibly even strength with how that lightning of yours seems to work, so I need something new." Elfman said his voice gravellier than before. "So come at me and hit me all you want, I've got the scales and endurance to withstand you and you can't take physical attacks as well as I can. So come on, hit me all you like, I'll endure until I can counter and beat you."

"Oh, this is going to be so much fun." Luck said his grin getting wider. "You know how to make a fight really good; I'm going to enjoy taking you down, you're nice and strong."

At that Luck's lightning armor morphed into a more bestial appearance with clawed feet and hands as horns formed on his head, the power he was putting out seeming to increase as Elfman stood there. Then with a cackle he launched himself at Elfman and unleashed a flurry of blows on him from all angles, using his enhanced speed from this Lightning Magic to land as many as he could.

All Elfman did was crouch down a little, arms up and over his face, fists clenched, head down, and knees bent as he took the blows. They were hard, painful, and worst of all he felt the lightning with each one which really added to them.

Still, he pushed through it because he had to, he had to win not just for himself but for Fairy Tail so that he could help them get them back into the games. Natsu had done that in Chariots, pushed through his motion sickness and come 6th, the highest he could have hoped for given his weakness to get them on the board. He'd pushed past his limits and now Elfman had to do that as he took the blows waiting for it, for that moment to strike.

It came as Luck was pounding away at him. He was good but the armor wasn't holding well against the hardness of Elfman's scales and Luck was feeling the kickback from striking them. That and his physical endurance wasn't as high as Elfman's, so he was slowing but Luck was having too much fun to care or notice as he kept at it. That was why he didn't realize until the last moment that Elfman was about to counter so he had no time to block, not that he had much lightning armor left to do so, as Elfman used all of his remaining strength to punch him in the chest as hard as he could with the damage he'd taken.

The scaley fist slammed home and the wind was driven from Luck's lungs, as well as cutting up his chest something fierce and breaking a few ribs in the process, before he was blasted back and into the wall with a crash. Still, he managed to get his arms and legs behind him to soften the blow on his boots and gloves a little though he still cracked the wall and fell down to land in a crouch on the ground, his blood dripping onto the sand.

"Man, that was fun, but I think this will end it." Luck said still in his crouch before he coughed out a mouthful of blood and looked up at a panting Elfman who was still in his Lizardman form. "One more blow with all I've got, that will down you. Thanks for making this so much fun, I've been looking forward to a battle like this for a while but it's over now."

"Just what is with this kid?" Elfman asked as he pushed through his pain and exhaustion to keep his form a little while longer as the lightning boots and gloves on Luck healed up and crackled once more before he pushed off the ground from a runner's start as fast as he could manage.

Luck was giving it his all, his last gasp and he knew it. He wasn't running low on magic or anything, he still had plenty to give there, but he was feeling the blows and all those punches that he'd taken had almost certainly done some damage to him, he was sure of it. Still, he pushed past it with a laugh as he sped at Elfman who had his arms up and they reached each other for the final clash of the battle.

The boom that happened was the loudest yet as Luck slammed full force into Elfman like a missile, the scales on Elfman's arms shattering as he was driven back along the arena floor, but he held and was able to push back with them to throw Luck off them before falling to his hands and knees as Luck flipped and landed on his feet. Despite this he was panting like mad, as was Elfman who's form fell to show him as he normally was, beat up and battered but still conscious.

They held their poses for a moment as the crowd went silent as they watched. The Black Bulls and Fairy Tail were all on the edges of their balconies as they stared, several of Fairy Tail, mainly Elfman's younger sister Lisanna and Evergreen who everyone knew had a crush on Elfman even if she denied it, were crying. As was Jason in the commentators' booth but that was more excitement as he pumped his arms furiously but didn't speak. This was the key moment and they all knew that either both went down or only one did to determine the outcome of the battle, so no one dared interrupt this moment by talking.

"You're called Elfman, right?" Luck asked as he panted, the last traces of lightning falling from his body as blood ran down his face, arms and legs from several cuts he'd taken but he was still smiling before he suddenly broke out in a laugh. "Man, you gave me one hell of a fight there, that was so much fun. Let's do it again sometime, you Fairy Tail mages are really tough, so I want to fight more of you."

Elfman didn't say anything, just stayed there panting his head low as Luck stood over him, well almost same height because of Elfman's bulk but same difference. It seemed like Luck had won it and Fairy Tail were all nervous at that as the Black Bulls prepared for a cheer to celebrate their first battle victory.

"He's beat and bloody, but Luck is still standing." Chapati announced. "Does this…"

"Noelle's our last team member, she uses Water Magic." Luck said causing Elfman to raise his head his eyes wide as he looked at the creepily smiling, blood drenched, face above him as the Luck's words silenced Chapati's commentary. "Our reserve is Charmy; she uses Cotton Magic but if you get her riled up enough she can use Food Magic as well though not at the same time I think. Even with this, you won't beat them, they match me for strength but for now, you've won, Elfman."

At that the floating book next to Luck stopped glowing and fell to the ground next to him. As it did Luck toppled backwards, still smiling with his eyes open, to crash to the ground out cold having been unable to maintain consciousness any longer.

"Luck is down and out!" Chapati said as the crowd cheered, especially Fairy Tail, Evergreen was now actively strangling Freed as she cheered for Elfman, while the Black Bulls stared in disbelief at what they were seeing as the bell sounded. "Grounded hard at the end of that match which means that the winner is Elfman! With that win Fairy Tail Team A secures 10 points giving them 12 in the tournament, a real big boost in their points and one that they sorely needed."

"A real upset there I'd say, even with such little knowledge on the Black Bulls I'd have given them the odds in this matchup after seeing what Luck could do." Yajima said as Elfman raised his fists, still on his knees, and roared to the sky. "But Elfman beat them there which is what we should expect from Fairy Tail. No matter what happens, they'll always bounce back."

"That was so cool!" Jason added.

"Is this the resurgence of Fairy Tail?" Chapati asked as medics came onto the field to take both combatants to their respective infirmaries in the Colosseum. "Time will tell as we get ready for our next matchup. It's…"

"Mimosa, go and put Luck in one of those cradle things you have to heal him up." Yami said as Luck was stretchered off first while some of the other medics began to help Elfman as they waited for more to help stretcher his big bulk off as well. "We may need him tomorrow, so I want him back to full health before then."

"Right away." Mimosa said with a nod as she headed out.

"Be back quick, the next battle is a special one according to one of my sources." Vanessa said with a wink. "I want all the ladies here for it."

"Er ok." Mimosa said confused but she did as instructed and left to set up Luck's healing cradle that would steadily heal him while the other battles were going on.

"That was unexpected." Asta admitted as Elfman too was stretched off while several members of Fairy Tail, most notably a brunette woman in a green, low-cut dress, with the Fairy Tail emblem on her right bosom that was continuing to strangle a green haired man from behind as she'd been doing ever since Elfman's win, didn't stop as she hurried out of their box to go and see Elfman while dragging the green haired man by the neck. "I didn't think Luck would lose that. What kind of magic was that? It looked like Transformation Magic mixed with some strange form of Beast Magic."

"In a sense it was." Gordon said. "That was Beast Soul Take Over Magic. A fascinating area of magic that allows him to turn into a monster that he has touched though those transformations looked almost as if they were self-designed in a way and built for various things be it speed as with that leopard thing or defense as we just saw with the lizard. It's really an area I know little about."

"I've done a little bit of work on it but only because his older sister, Mirajane, uses it but hers is called Satan Soul not Beast Soul." Nero said. "It's stronger but again relatively hard to understand from our perspective. That said, Mirajane's Take Over magic is the closest there is here to what Asta does when he goes all Black Asta on us."

"So that is how we explain it." Yami said and the others nodded. "His swords are Requip Magic and his devil form is some kind of Take Over. Stick with that at least until the end of the games, got it."

"Yes sir." Asta said with a nod.

"Good now keep paying attention to the battles." Yami said. "We can learn a lot from…"

"And next up is a battle that all you men will not want to miss as we have a special, non-combat based, battle between two of the top models in the history of Sorcerer Weekly." Chapati said as the two women walked out. "It's the current Miss Fiore and yesterday's special guest commentator, stepping in as Blue Pegasus's reserve member Jenny Realight, and she's facing off against our former Miss Fiore, the lovely and sweet Mirajane Strauss from Fairy Tail Team B. Folks, stay in your seats as these beauties show us just who is the most beautiful woman in Fiore."

The two models walked out in their normal attire though that wasn't going to last much longer. The strangest battle of the Grand Magic Games was about to begin and the announcement of it was just the start of the insanity that what was to come.

Well there you go, Elfman really maned up and took down Luck in a tough battle but he figured out something that most Black Bulls have as a weakness and exploited it along with his Lizardman transformation to win in a battle that differed from the one he had with Bacchus though it still allowed him to really shine. I'm sure Luck is fine with the tough battle and is now eager for a rematch to avenge that loss. Also, I realized as making the reference, that this fight, in terms of English VAs has an even deeper connection if you're a fan of My Hero Academia like me because this was Izuku's VA fighting All Might's so some good fun for sure (and totally unplanned as I sometimes forget that Luck and Izuku share a VA). Anyway, that is really all that I have for you as the focus of this chapter was the battle between Luck and Elfman. Next up though it's the other two battles with special focus on the one between Mira and Jenny and all the fun that happened in that battle as we close out the second day of the Grand Magic Games with a healthy dose of good old fashioned fanservice. That is all I have for this chapter though so I will leave it off here.
