Chapter 4: The Light of the Future

The battlefield at the Trident echoed with the clamor of battle as Daenerys Targaryen, enveloped in divine light, gave orders to the Targaryen army forces through her power. Chaos reigned among the enemy ranks as her men advanced, subdued, and captured the rebel leaders, including Hoster Tully and Eddard Stark, among others.

Meanwhile, in a tent guarded outside by the wounded but surviving members of the Kingsguard, Ser Jonothor Darry, Prince Lewyn Martell, and Ser Barristan Selmy awaited orders from their heir apparent, Rhaegar Targaryen. However, Rhaegar was immersed in deep reflection on the future of Westeros, torn between various options for dealing with the defeated rebels.

At that moment, Daenerys burst into the tent with her divine presence, surprising Rhaegar. With a respectful bow, she introduced herself as Rhaegar's sister, sent from an alternate future by the Valyrian Gods. She explained that she had been blessed with special gifts to confront the forces of evil threatening the Targaryens and Westeros.

Confused by Daenerys' revelation, Rhaegar listened attentively as she narrated the situation in the original timeline and offered her help in resolving the issues he faced. Among them, the rebellion of the rebel lords and the complications arising from his relationship with Lyanna Stark.

"Who are you? How is it possible that you are my sister?" Rhaegar asked with a puzzled expression.

"I am Daenerys Targaryen, your younger sister. But I come from an alternate future, sent by the Valyrian Gods to help you face the threats that loom over our house and our kingdom," Daenerys explained.

Surprised, Rhaegar said, "This is... unheard of. Why should I know of your existence?"

"Because in your original timeline, House Targaryen has been decimated, and our family has been nearly exterminated. But the Valyrian Gods have given me the opportunity to change that fate and restore the honor of our house," Daenerys explained.

"I understand, or I want to understand. But what can I do now? How can I trust you and your words?" Rhaegar inquired.

Daenerys smiled and said, "Trust me, brother. The Valyrian Gods have blessed me with special gifts that allow me to see beyond time and space. I will help you make the right decisions for the future of our house and Westeros."

After their conversation, Daenerys and Rhaegar discussed plans to deal with the rebel lords and the implications of his relationship with Lyanna Stark. Daenerys suggested a diplomatic solution for the rebel lords, offering them the opportunity to swear allegiance to Jon Arryn and Ned Stark, while those who refused would be sent to the Wall.

"I believe we should compel the rebel lords to swear allegiance to Jon Arryn and impose a punishment by paying tributes or compensations as compensation for their treason. And Ned Stark is difficult. That will depend on an honest conversation with you, Rhaegar. We should expose the secrets I revealed about the survival of his sister Lyanna; but at least these lords have some degree of mitigation on how they reacted to what our father did to the Starks and the call for the capture of the usurper. Those who refuse will be sent to the Wall as punishment for their treason," Daenerys explained.

Rhaegar asked, "I understand. And what do you suggest for Hoster Tully?"

"Hoster Tully must be sent to the Wall as punishment for his greed. His younger son, Edmure Tully, could assume the position of Lord of Riverrun when he comes of age. And Ser Brynden Tully, the Blackfish, could be appointed as his regent," Daenerys proposed.

"It's a drastic solution, but necessary," Rhaegar said. But then he asked, "But what about Lyanna? Why does no one know about our relationship?"

"There are many secrets hidden in the shadows, brother. But now that I am here, we can reveal the truth and face the consequences together," Daenerys comforted Rhaegar. But she said, "We must also consider the betrayal of Lord Tywin Lannister."

Rhaegar asked, "What betrayal? Lord Tywin Lannister has remained neutral in this confrontation."

Daenerys explained, "Lord Tywin Lannister will seize the opportunity to switch to the rebel side if you lose Rhaegar, and he personally benefited in my timeline, placing Cersei as the queen of the usurper after he marched to King's Landing with his army and participated in the sacking of the city, contributing to the murder of our family and solidifying his alliance with the rebels."

Rhaegar asked with fear and a low voice, "Rhaenys, Aegon, Elia, our mother, and brother?"

"Not all of our family will die there. But the beginning of the end will be sown with their deaths," Daenerys answered evasively.

"Who? Tell me," Rhaegar exclaimed.

"Rhaenys, Aegon, and Elia. They are killed by men of Tywin. Our mother dies in childbirth on Dragonstone, and loyal people take Viserys and me to Essos," Daenerys revealed.

This revelation deeply impacts Rhaegar, who experiences a mix of shock and pain upon learning of the possible death of his family at the hands of a former ally.

"You didn't ask about our father," Daenerys remarked.

"I assumed he also died. Or didn't he?" Rhaegar explained.

"He did, but not from the sack. He dies with a sword from Jaime Lannister in his back. The gods and some events in my timeline show me what would have happened. I can only say it had or has something to do with the Wildfire," Daenerys explained.

"I understand. Then, we must act quickly to save our family and with determination to restore the honor of our house and kingdom, sister," Rhaegar decided.

After reaching an agreement on how to proceed, Daenerys and Rhaegar prepared plans to implement their decisions. Meanwhile, on the battlefield, the Targaryen army forces continued their advance towards victory, guided by the light of the future that had come to change the destiny of Westeros.
