Cordelia looked up from her desk - the reception desk - as the front doors opened. She started to greet what she thought was potential clients when she recognized the man nervously standing there.

'Tony Stark? He's actually here? The others haven't tried to contact me, granted Alison Blair is on tour right now and my other mother is dead, but that Josh guy hasn't tried to contact me and it's only been a couple of days since Jean told me Tony's my other genetic father. But he's here!' Cordelia thought.

"You're here. I've got to admit, I really wasn't sure you'd want to even acknowledge I existed, let alone meet me."

"Why not? I admit I don't have any other kids, as far as I know, but you didn't ask to be created, none of its your fault. And the report from Charles Xavier tells me you're someone worth knowing. You fight vampires, and you did it long before you knew you had any powers. I've been worried you wouldn't want to meet me. My past isn't so great, after all."

"No, but mine's not all that great either. I was a bully for most of my life, I treated people like crap. The visions were a wake call to people's pain. They made me want to help, so I do, as best I can."

"I get that. I want to get to know you, Cordelia Chase. What I already know is worth admiring. And I'd like to get to know your boyfriend. I'm told I'm not allowed to threaten him with a shotgun."

"Hey, the whole cheating on me thing when we were in High School is not his fault! Just because Willow didn't list it as one of her mind raping stunts doesn't mean she didn't do it. Or the thing that was possessing me might have been responsible. Apparently it was manipulating my life and Angel's life too, for a long time. It might even be responsible for us created mutants."

"He cheated on you?"

"I caught him kissing Willow, the witch with the split personality."

"Okay, that would be questionable. But if he ever does it and it can be confirmed it's of his own free will?"

"I'll shoot him before you have a chance to and he knows it."

"Pepper would too if I ever did something so stupid. By the way, this is Virginia Potts, known as Pepper." He indicated the so far silent woman standing beside him.

"As if I didn't recognize her too. Ms. Potts, it's great to meet you and I love your shoes."

"It's nice to meet you too and thank you. You can call me Pepper."

"Thank you. Let me introduce you to my colleagues. Word of warning, Gunn, that's Charles Gunn. Lot of Charles around here. The guy that I thought was my father, his name is Charles and then there's Charles Xavier and Charles Gunn, but he goes by Gunn. Anyway, he likes the Iron Man suit and will probably ask a million questions about it."

"Not a problem, I don't mind answering questions about it."

"Good and then there's Fred, Winifred Burkle. IQ probably right up there around where yours is. She's published a few papers and would have done more but one of her advisors was a jealous ass and sent her to a Hell dimension and she was trapped there for five years before we were able to save her when I got a vision about her. Which might have been part of the manipulation because it led into what Xander, my boyfriend, calls a neat line of dominos. Not her fault and the experience made her slightly crazy, but she's still brilliant and hasn't shut up about your arc thingie."

"I'd be happy to talk to her too. Not many people can understand the science of it."

"And then there's Wesley, he owns the Agency. Angel used to but then he fired us and we started our own. Angel came back after his crisis. Anyway, Wesley Wyndham-Price, formerly of England and the Watchers Council is the boss. Very knowledgeable on demon languages and cultures."

"Watchers Council, that's the group the witch's other personality targeted in an effort to force the main personality to use enough Magic to make her corporeal."

"Yes, the second personality was called Dark Willow and fed on Magic and could do some Magic herself, but not on the level that Willow, herself, could. At least when Dark Willow manifested separately, I mean."

"And Angel would be the souled vampire. Only known demon breed vampire with a soul and he has it because of a curse designed to make him suffer."

"Well there was a second one but he got his in a different way and that was also to add misery onto his goal. And he's been dusted since then anyway. So yeah, Angel is the only one as far as we know."

"His goal?"

"To make a Vampire Slayer named Buffy Summers love him."

"That would be the mystical superhero we heard about." Pepper said thoughtfully.

"One of them. There's two now and that's a story in and off itself. So come meet my friends and then we can go meet Xander, he's in Sunnydale."

"That would be the boyfriend I'm not allowed to threaten, just glare at."

"If you want to stay on my good side." Cordelia smiled at him.

'It seems daughters have more then just the 'I'm disappointed in you Daddy' look Pepper mentioned.' Tony thought. 'I think I'm in trouble. I want to make my newly discovered kid happy and I never want to see that disappointed look Pepper mentioned.'
