Quick side note before we start. I'm glossing over some conversations and speech and just sort of filing them down or explaining them somewhere and in a more basic way. This is because I assume most of you have either watched the anime or more likely read the Light novels and manga. As such you already know what main things have been said or you could easily go and refresh your memories by re rereading. So I don't see much point in me basically Copy and pasting Omori's work onto my fanfic. Of course some things will still be said as they are important to the narrative structure but if you wanna make a reiview saying I missed something, trust me I've read all the books a minimum twice and some about 5 times, plus read the manga 3 times (This does include sword oratorio for both as well). Also this focuses on my OC a lot and as you will see in this chapter, the story will centre around his POV.

Anyway with that, please enjoy.

There was a certain hush over Orario. Murmurs could be heard from local taverns and pubs, homes of Familia's, and regular citizens alike. This was because the countdown to the Apollo vs Hestia War game was about to begin. No one dared raise their voice louder than the announcer from the Ganesha Familia, everyone wanting to drink in every detail he was saying. All bets had been placed, with an insurmountable odd stacked in favour of Apollo, but a certain scarred face man thought differently to his friends and fellow adventurers, laughing internally at the people who were currently calling him stupid. Only the on the 30th floor on Babel tower was there a noise, and a lot of it. The noise emanating off there was not quiet to say the least.

"Ok everyone, quiet down its about to start" One god said over the quagmire of voices. It did little to settle down the commotion. Only a few gods were quiet. One being Hestia, only focusing on her own divine mirror, not even talking much to Hephaestus, Takemikazuchi and Miach, only accepting their good lucks with some minor gratitude before back to gluing her eyes on the mirror. Apollo meanwhile was drinking in the atmosphere with an arrogant aura sprouting out from him with a smug smile to match.

Just before Ganesha was about to ring the gong to signal the start of the wargame, a God of mischief and his captain were having a talk a bit away from the commotion.

"Are sure its alright if I'm up here Lord Hermes?" the blue haired Asfi Al Andromeda asked.

"Stop worrying about it Asfi, I already told you its alright just before we set up the mirrors for today" The feathered hat wearing God replied.

"You still look nervous. See, no one even knows you are here, too busy chatting away in all their excitement" Hermes continued.

"That's not why I'm nervous" Asfi responded

"Oh, pray tell what it is that has your lovely face looking like that?" The God teased.

However, the look on Asfi face said she wasn't even prepared to punish him for his teasing, just more concern filling her features.

"Are you sure we should have allowed him to join this, he may get recognised. What if he does something again, what if he has been faking it and waiting to do it again, what if.. what if." A small pat on the head stopped her rambling as she turned to her God.

"I don't think he was faking it, as you know you can't lie to a deity and that boy was being sincere about what he wants to do from now on. As for allowing him to join, well it's a bit too late to question that now isn't it my dear" Hermes says. "Whatever happens, happens I suppose" He continues with a smirk.

This still did little to put The Perseus at ease, only instead pushing her focus on the divine mirror in the centre of the chamber. "I hope your right" was the last thing that graced her lips before she said nothing more for almost the rest of the day.

The room finally goes quiet as Ibly Archer announces the start of the wargame, while his God Ganesha rings the gong, the noise echoing throughout Orario, making everyone eyes fixate on the nearest divine mirror they can see.

"The War Game-has begun!"

The ringing of the bell resounded throughout Shreme Castle, signalling to all the War Game had begun. However, too most within the castle it didn't mean a lot as they believed that the enemy wouldn't attack them on the first day but instead the third and final one. Hyacinthus sat bored on his throne at the top of spire, thinking and saying aloud to anyone that would listen about how this is a waste of time. Other members could be seen talking about how the walls will not fall to any magic as Rakia had set up shop here had done a decent job with them, leaving the Apollo Familia with little work in fortifying them, however one beast man laughed at the thought of using magic as he cleaned his gigantic crossbow, fit for his gigantic stature.

One of the groups of men gathered at the top of wall spotted one of their fellow Familia members climbing to the top of the wall.

"Hey Luan, what are doing up here?" One of the archers asked.

"..Looking out" Luan responded begrudgingly.

The others behind the archer laughed, knowing Luan is normally given the short end of the stick most of the time. As Luan drowned out the laughter behind him, he looked outwards. After only looking for a few short seconds he spotted a figure walking towards the castle, a figure resembling something of a human.

"H-hey"

"What's that?"

It seems the others had spotted it as well.

"Are they really thinking about attacking now"

The figure that appeared kept walking, not seeming to slow down nor attack.

"Hey, I've got a good idea, big guy want some target practice?"

The beast man gave a toothy grin and readied his crossbow, Luan winced at this, worried for the person coming up, wondering why they hadn't started to attack. Lili suddenly remembered that the magic swords have a certain range and needed to be closer to be as effective as they need to be.

The people back in Orario had also found out about the person walking towards the castle.

"Who's that?"

"What's he doing?"

"Is this the plan or are they just stupid?"

Similar questions were being thrown about throughout the city as the person became clearer to see. As the person became clearer to see though, some waitresses and a certain pub owner were quieter than usual.

"Isn't that?"

"I think so, nya"

Two cat people spoke quietly to each other

The other staff member also brought back thoughts of the young man they can now see on the divine mirror.

"So that's were he went to then" The Dwarf women said.

Even the silver haired women who had only been thinking about a certain rabbit for the past 3 days was suddenly pulled from those thoughts to thoughts of the person walking towards the castle. Even the usual stoic Elven waitress had a look of discern and confusion on her face.

'What is Nathan doing there, is he with Mr Cranel and his Familia' Ryu thought

All throughout Orario, words of confusion were spread about who this person was.

In the Twilight Manor, all were just as confused but one had a face of worry.

"Captain, is something wrong?" Toine Hiryute asked.

"When I saw that person, my thumb suddenly started to ache" The captain of the Loki Familia, Finn Deimne said.

This got everyones, who was present, attention, making their looks of confusion gain a bit of suspicion.

"Big deal, itty bitty got one more person to help. Shame he is an idiot" Loki stated. Most who heard laughed at this apart from two and the people who were acquainted with these two noticed. Hephaestus looked at Hestia, and saw that she was deafly quiet, not even thinking of responding to her flat-chested rival, but more surprisingly when she went to look at Hermes, he seemed to be in a state of concentration and worry on his face, his captain fairing even worse.

'He must be the one from Hermes Familia' The god of Smithing thought.

Back with the walking person, he, along with everybody else now, had noticed the giant crossbow about to be directed straight at him, not that he cared.

"This guy is even stupider than I thought" laughed one archer.

"Probably already accepted defeat and has come to surrender." Another one laughed aloud.

Meanwhile, the prum was still looking at the now to be seen hooded figure. He then looked back to the archers and saw the crossbow was now being pointed at the person, with an arrow in it twice the size of him.

A ninja who was hiding amongst the grass was also confused and worried, not knowing what her comrade was doing.

'Why hasn't he swung the swords yet, why isn't he making any movement to dodge'.

Even while all this was going on, Nathan still continued to casually walk towards the castle, making him a sitting duck.

"Well he hasn't surrendered yet, so fire big man"

"Get ready, little boy" The beast men said with a sinister smile. A second later the trigger was pulled. The arrow let loose, bolted straight towards its victim, it couldn't, shouldn't, wouldn't miss. Everyone watched with an intensity like no other, watching the arrow almost in slow motion towards its intended target. No one could guess what happened next.

The arrow landed perfectly in the target, well within the targets hand.

Everyone who saw this were silent. The Apollo Familia, the prum, Mikoto, the people around the world. A pin drop could be heard in the chamber of the Gods as not a single sound was made. They had all watched something that they could only explain as.

"He.."

"He.."

"…it"

"HE CAUGHT ITTT!" The commentators scream brought everyone out of the trance and immediately the noise skyrocketed past what it had previously been. It is how the commentator said. Nathan saw the arrow come towards him and simply caught it without even breaking his stride.

"That's why bow and arrows are better, dimwit" he mumbled. And while everyone was in a state of shock Nathan had finally gotten within range to use the swords.

"Everyone attack now, fire now!" One of the archers shouted. "Stop him"

But by the time the arrows had been unleashed, Nathan had already grabbed both the swords, one each hand. He let loose the red one, a ball of fire cascaded towards the wall in which the archers were on top of. The fire also took out most of the arrows along with a sizeable chunk of the wall with only three making it through, which Nathan easily dodged. He swung again and a wall of electricity was next to crash into the wall, shattering most of it to pieces. And then with a speed that only a few watching could perceive, he ran to the next side of the wall and started bombarded that as well.

"Who is this guy?" This question was simultaneously asked at every pub in Orario, the twilight mansion executive room and on the 30th floor of Babel. Even a certain Goddess of beauty had her confusion and doubts, and from the looks of her captain face he wasn't doing much better.

After a few minutes of bashing the walls, the Crozzo swords finally broke and shattered around him.

'Lasted longer than I thought' Nathan speculated

'Lili should have given the order to send a sizeable chunk to come out and face me, then Mikoto should get through that gap in the wall' Nathan went over the plan in his head.

As he was doing that, he saw 65 people running in his direction.

"Take out this threat quickly and efficiently, those were our captains orders. Remember he has magic swords, and he clearly is at least a high level 2 maybe level 3" a blonde elf shouted.

'Right on time, that prum isn't bad to be fair' Nathan smirked.

Nathan was quickly surrounded by the Apollo Familia, his mask and neck muzzle covering his facial features, not giving a drop of emotion or information to his enemies. However, the power of the Crozzo swords had pushed his hood back revealing his bleached white hair and more importantly his half elf ears. When the blonde-haired elf saw these ears, he scowled.

"Of course a half breed like yourself wouldn't care about using such sinful, heretical swords."

A lot of people flinched at the slur used towards the half elf, even a few of his own Familia looked uneasy at the comment. However,

'Lissos, elf of Apollo Familia, Level 2 for 3 years. Third strongest in Familia, Strongest here. Not a threat' Nathan thought, not even caring for the words as he has heard and dealt with a lot worse.

"Commander look, his magic swords are broken." A cat man had noticed and pointed out to Lissos, making the elf smile.

"Get into your groups and prepare to attack." This got the rest of the members smiling as they realised that the threat had basically been adverted.

The only response they got from their opponent was a simple muffled "hmm" and a shrug of soldiers.

'This is your battle to fight Bell Cranel, I'm only here to distract and take out the unimportant ones.'

"First party, swarm him." The order was given and as the 12 or so people rushed towards him, Nathan reached to either side and drew his swords.

'Remember, waste some time but don't take too long so you can go in and help. Mikoto should have infiltrated by now.'

And with that the battle commenced, well if you could call it that. A 1 v 65, all thought to be around the same level, should be over in a matter of seconds. Well if Nathan tried it would be but he had to hold back quite a bit, so he didn't cause any problems or break his oath.

A simple sweep at his body was easily dodged, with the sword that was swung going flying off in a random direction, as the person holding it had been kicked in the stomach and been sent crashing back into the hole he had emerged from. The next was a spear aimed at his throat but again Nathan dodged it and this time hitting the attacker with the base of one of his swords on the forehead. The next two rushed him at the same time, one with a hammer and the other, again, with a sword. They both swung simultaneously, but to their surprise, the half elf just blocked both attacks and pushed them back. Seeing this, the others attacking backed off, which allowed 3 archers to fire at him, which Nathan batted the arrows away with the blunt side of his sword, without even moving.

Lissos started to get annoyed watching this unfold. He wouldn't be humiliated, not by a half elf

"Everyone, use your experience as comrades and as friends. Attack at once."

50 people swarmed Nathan all at the same time, while another 10 held back to use magic or fire off arrows. Spears were thrown, swords were swung, a magic spell of electricity fired with the intent of a hit to the head. All of these attacks were simply dodged or parried as Nathan danced within the same 2 metre radius he started in, knocking out anyone who came close enough. He hadn't even properly attacked yet; his swords only being used to block. He even swung his right sword to cover the base of his arm, used as a sort of shield to block some swipes to his body. Lissos stood back trying to give off orders to do something, but nothing seemed to work. He was getting more agitated as time went on, with the thought of defeat starting to worm its way into his mind. However, compared to his God, Lissos could be called calm and collected.

"WHO THE HELL IS HE HESTIA" Apollo screamed at the Goddess.

"HE CAUGHT THAT MASSIVE ARROW LIKE IT WAS NOTHING, AND NOW HE IS MAKING A FOOL OF MY CHILDREN, HALF OF THEM ARE LEVEL 2"

Hestia simply responded with a shrug and "He is in my Familia, what does it matter. I'm not cheating." And with that she went back to her mirror. All the other gods were mesmerized by this young man and what he was doing to the Apollo Familia. Some were joining in with Apollo, asking who he was but she simply ignored them.

Meanwhile off to the side, Miach and Takemikazuchi had cornered Hermes.

"So that is your guy that you gave to Hestia" The healer God said.

"Yep, glad to see he is doing so well" Hermes responded, with some relief in his voice. His captain's face seemingly doing better as well as it had gained a few shades darker, still though, a visit to Dea Saint would probably be wise.

"Why would you give him up, he is easily a level 3" Take questioned.

"I guess it was in both our interests at the end of the day, it seems to be working out for him" Hermes said, while breathing out casuallly.

As their conversation continued, the Goddess of trickery had heard a few interesting things that her captain would be intrigued to hear.

"Wait a minute, isn't that Take's kid, Eternal Shadow."

This grabbed everyone's attention, stopping the conversation between the three deities dead as Take immediately focused his attention on the War Game.

Nathan had about dealt with half of his opponents now, and the rest had become to weary to attack him, especially with the bodies of their unconscious allies littered around him. Just before Lissos tried to give another order a shout was heard that grabbed everyone's attention.

"FUTSU NO TAMA"

A rumble sweaped underneath everyone's feet causing some to almost fall.

"What the hell was that?" A human asked.

All eyes were directed towards the castle wall, wondering what was going on inside. All eyes except for one that is. A small quick laugh was heard behind them, which caused them all to whip their heads around and look at the source of the noise. Walking towards them was the enemy that had so flawlessly beaten them down time and time again. It scared them. Nothing more could be said about the situation. A bead of sweat dripped down all of their faces, even their commander wasn't exempt from this fear. However, it got worse when a quiet voice reached their ears.

"It seems that is my cue, guess it's about time to wrap this up and go and lend the rest of them a helping hand."The half-elf said pulling down his muffler. And with that, Nathan redrew his swords, this time with no intent of just defending. Lissos knew this, but before he could give the order to fall back, a black boot was in his face and then a second later he was unconscious, with his body flying towards the castle wall. All the others looked at their commander's bloody face and back to where he was standing, 200 metres away. Occupying the spot now was the bleached-gaired boy, wearing a now to be seen small smile aimed directly at them. They all gulped and just hoped that it wouldn't hurt too much. Nathan had finally finished his warmup.

A swing of his sword knocked a sword out of an animal persons grip and once again he was also sent flying with a swift kick. Five people tried to attack him again, but this time Nathan went low and took out three pairs of legs and used his one hand that was planted on the floor to push himself up and kick the other two in the face with a roundhouse. As soon as his left foot touched the floor, he pushed off and immediately took another opponent out with a punch to the gut, straight after deflecting three arrows that were aimed for his head. He then ran straight towards the archers and flipped over them. During his flip, he turned his body sideways and cut through all the bows with a side swipe of his right arm. And with incredible precision, he delievered three quick chops to each of their necks. He then set his sights on the five magicians that were sent out. That had already chanted their spells at him, ready to unleash as he started to run towards them. These mages had practiced together for years now and had worked out how to combine their magic into a ball of pure destruction, something that can even seriously harm the Goliath on the seventeenth floor. Water, fire, electricity, light, and wind magic all embedded into one massive ball that was shot straight at Nathan, with terrifying speed. Nathan could feel the magical energy from where he was over 100 metres away, knowing if he came into contact with it, it would probably hurt. So Nathan simply flipped over it and continued his advance onto the magicians.

Less and less people were continuing to watch Nathan's fight, with people still reeling over 'Luans' betrayal and others starting to turn to watch the white rabbit advance through the maze of hallways, knowing already that the half-elf would win after seeing him jump over a massive ball of magic and take out 5 trained mages in 3 seconds flat, and knowing that the main battle was just about to occur, with a white light emanating from the Little Rookie's hand catching a lot of people's attention. However, the a few of the executives of the Loki Familia and a few waitresses were still observing the half-elf's fight.

"I didn't know he was that strong meow; I mean could one of us even take him in a fight meow?" A black-haired cat girl wondered out loud.

"I definitely sensed some strength off of him, but he must be really good at hiding his aura as I only had him down for a high level 2, not whatever he is" A brown-haired human responded. Ryuu was also dealing with the same thoughts, thinking to herself that he might even be as strong as her.

"Back to work girls, no messing about chatting. A lot of customers here need serving." The head of the pub boomed at her Staff.

"If you have any questions, ask the lad next time he is in. Besides, the kid looks like he is about to do something anyway" Mama Mia exclaimed. And do something Bell Cranel did.

As the last of his opponents fell, a massive white light shooted into the clear blue sky, catching Nathan's attention.

"Damn, that actually looks powerful" Nathan muttered, though no one was watching to hear as they had all moved to watch the ending fight between the two captains.

'Best get in there, see if any of the others need help' Nathan thought to himself while running over to the gap in which his now defeated enemies had emerged from just under half an hour ago.

Nathan emerged to see an exhausted Mikoto trying to fight off the massive beast man that had fired the crossbow at him. With a swift kick to the head, Nathan defeated the intimidating figure immediately.

"You alright?" Nathan asked a heavy breathing Mikoto

"Ye-yeah I'm *Breathes* I'm alright, thank you" She slowly replies, fatigue clearly racking her, her magic taking its toll on her body.

"No problem, where are the others?"

"Sir We.. sorry I mean Welf is fighting a few up on that bridge last time I saw, I recognised his magic being used. Not sure where Lili is but I assume Sir Bell is up there where the..."

"Where the big white explosion happened, yeah I saw it too" Nathan finishes off.

The sound of knives and swords clashing could be heard atop of a massive pile of rubble. Soon after a shrill voice was heard.

"JUST WHO THE HELL ARE YOU" was heard throughout the now ruined castle.

"Come on, lets go find the others and then go and support our captain" Nathan said after his ears had stopped ringing, his heightened senses not helping out in this scenario.

"Yeah ok, good idea. Wait, have already finished with what you were doing?." As they had started running, Mikoto questioned Nathan about his objective.

"Yeah wasn't too hard, bit difficult to hold back enough so I didn't properly damage them" Nathan responds, back in his monotone, quiet voice once again.

Mikoto shuddered a bit, thinking how strong Nathan must be to have to hold back against 65 adventurers, some even being level 2, the same level as herself. She glanced a quick look at Nathan and noticed not even a single scratch or tear on his clothes. She then turned back ahead, continuing her search for her other Familia members.

After finding Welf, the three assumed Lili had gone to help Bell, so they decided to head there too. They arrived just in time to hear Hyacinthus shout.

"RUBELLE"

Bells flying body came into view, bruised, and battered as it kept hitting the rubble.

"Sir Bell, no" Mikoto said while starting to prepare to intervene. A hand stopped her.

"Look" She first turned to see that it was Nathan who had stopped her and also saw that he had stopped Welf from drawing his sword. She then turned back to look at Bell, where she saw him stand up again.

"This is his fight; we shouldn't interrupt it. I already told him this yesterday that I wouldn't help him in this fight. He doesn't want us to join in either. You can see the look in his eyes" Nathan explained.

'That look, I could never have that. But maybe I wouldn't mind following those eyes. I feel like I can trust them. Maybe my second chance here would be to help those eyes accomplish what they wants to do' Nathan thought to himself, glad that he had taken up Hermes' offer.

As Hyacinthus charged towards Bell like a mad man, Nathan could tell that Bell had now won. And just a few seconds later, he was proven right as his captain sunk his fist into the enemy's captain's face, winning the day.

As Welf and Mikoto rushed to congratulate Bell in his victory, with Lili already being there, Nathan looked on at the scene of friendship and family and thought 'Do I deserve this.' He was quickly shot out of his thoughts when Welf shouted for him to get over here.

'It might be alright, like Hermes said. Only one way to find out I suppose'

While the Mirror's showed the Hestia Familia hugging and smiling with each other, Orario was in uproar. The Hestia Familia had done it, they had won. A lot of people were cheering, especially those that had made the stupid bets like Mord and three, now drunk, deities. The waitresses in the Hostess of Fertility had gained an extra spring in their step, especially because the adventurers that had lost the bet wanted to spend a lot of money to drink away the loss. The Twilight manor was in disbelief over what happened, shocked that the Crying rabbit that had come begging to their door just over a week ago had beaten a level 3.

There were debates going round why the Hestia Familia won, a lot of people were saying it was obvious and that the Little Rookie won it by defeating the captain of the Apollo Familia. Others argued back saying that if it wasn't for the betrayal of the prum, then he never would have gotten in. Some said the gravity magic of the far eastern woman helped a lot by stopping any help from reaching Bell Cranel along with the blacksmith who held off against a bunch of magician's and Daphne Laurus, allowing Bell to get to Hyacinthus, not to mention the Crozzo swords that he had made that started the entire process of. However, whenever the magic swords were brought up it reminded everyone of the half-elven warrior that had single handily taken on half of the enemy's forces with what looked like relative ease. That scene especially stuck with a certain few, that being the captains of the two most powerful Familia's in Orario.

Back with the half-elf, we see him looking at something on the ground. A green necklace that he remembered being given to Bell just before they had left the city a few days back. Syr Flover, one of the waitresses at the Hostess, had given it to him. He had spoken to her on a few occasions and thought she was alright, bit weird or off putting sometimes. But what he saw in front of him made him nervous and worried as the top half of the necklace had broken and in it, a symbol could be seen. A symbol everyone knew.

"Freya Familia" Nathan Murmured quietly.

'The only reason she would send help is because..'

Nathans's thoughts trailed off, already knowing where they would lead as he turned around and saw the white hair and red eyes of the boy he has now sworen to follow. While Nathan walked back to reunite with his Familia to get ready to return to Orario, another thought entered his head.

'What is Syr's affiliation with the Goddess Freya'

Damn, I guess I'm in the hot seat now, hope I don't burn out.

These chapters keep getting longer and longer, but, in my opinion, keep getting better and better.

The War Game has been won, and now the start of the new story can properly commence. But already conflict has a risen, Nathan has seen a secret, wonder where that will lead to, idk do you. I mean I probably should know but guess I'll find out soon enough oooh the suspense.

If you haven't please read note at the top of this chapter as it outlines what I should have said earlier but oh well.

Plus, we've reached 10 follows, hooray. That is kinda mad considering I started this a few days ago and I'm already ahead of some stories written by bigger names. I mean over 100 out of the 150 that read my first chapter came back, mad. Consistently hit triple digits, explain pls.

Anyway, onto the Reviews:

Wyatt and Jank7457: I can address both of you here, as yeah the EVilus thing is something Im looking forward to incorpriating in the upcming chapters and seeing how it distorts the canon storyline in key areas.

Wyatt: With Alfia and Zard, I will admit I giggled to myself at that as I'm glad you picked up on it, lets see if they did interact.

Jank7457: There is both romance intended for the past and future but the future is further than the actual Light Novel is at. Yes I have planned this out quite a bit away. Knowing my luck I'll write about what I think happens in book 18 and boom book 18 says no, you wrong idiot.

That has been chapter 4, I know it came out quiet quick but don't expect this everytime, I ain't got it in me pls. With that, see ya and Peace.
