Unfortunately the deal for my take over of Danmachi failed as Oomori said he was to busy writing another side story to talk about deals.
Nightfall was close to descending over Orario once again. The moon and stars were soon to appear and the sun was about to dip into the dark abyss of the night. This is where the similarities end for this night of Orario compared to many others.
On most nights, children would ask their parents to read them a bedtime story. This night they shakily asked their parents if the monsters were going to come after them in their sleep.
On most nights, the Ganesha Familia would be doing their nightly switch for guard duty along the City's walls. This night they instead guarded the entrance to the dungeon and the circumference that covered Daedalus street.
On most nights, the city that never sleeps would still be a buzz with life and people. This night, a tentative hush swept over the city. The citizens could tell a battle was about to break out.
On this night, a small group of people set out to rescue their friends from the direst situation that if failed, even in the slightest, would lead to their deaths. For tonight was the night that would change the history of the city of Orario, no matter the outcome.
And above it all, keeping an ever-watching eye on her city, a Goddess of Beauty was currently sipping a 5-year-old red wine that one of her ladies had fetched earlier in the day. After taking another sip, she placed the glass on the side table next to the throne on which she sat. She was so entrancing, that even just this slight movement was enough to make any man or woman shiver with pleasure or terror, depending on her mood or who she was talking to. As the taste swirled around her mouth, she thought to herself how it helped her calm down from the revelation she had just been informed about by someone who would defiantly be on the terror side of her wine placement.
'That would explain his untrustworthy nature, especially towards Ryu and the Loki Familia. I wonder what made him change sides.'
Freya continued thinking about the conversation she had just had with Hermes about a certain half-elf. Well, a conversation is a nice way of putting it. It was more of a one-sided interrogation that the criminal had no chance of escaping or getting out of.
'Nathan, you have just become even more of a mystery. It seems when it comes to you, one question is answered, and two more pop up. Oh well, once I get my Bell for myself, I will ask him about you or if necessary, I will address you more… directly.'
With that final thought, the Goddess of beauty leant back in her chair, ready for a night she knew would be entertaining.
Nathan sat perched on top of a window balcony somewhere in a corner of the labyrinth district. He was currently waiting for the signal that signalled the start of the battle. But right now, he was doing what he was best at, staying concealed and spying on the enemy.
"Loki Familia is focused on Bell Cranel, I bet that is what our opponent is thinking."
This earned a silent chuckle from the half-elf. As much as he despised the Prum captain and everything he stood for, he had to admit his intelligence and strategical skills were not exaggerated, he had personally faced 5 and 7 years ago.
Nathan continued to watch the Loki Familia undetected from any of them. He was about 100 metres away and using his nightcrawler skill to conceal any sight, noise or scent that any other person would emanate, not even Bete Loga would be able to notice him.
"So what your saying is not to get distracted by Argonaut-Kun," Tiona said, still trying to wrap her head around the situation.
"Yes, that is what I'm saying."
"C-captain?"
"Yes, Michael, something you don't understand?" Finn addressed the young Human.
"Errm, w-what about that half-elf?"
Nathan hadn't been fully focusing on the talking for most of it, thinking instead of if his Familia will be alright. But this brought him back into full concentration mode, curious to see what the Loki Familia thought of him.
Bete scoffed at the question, " Why should we worry about such a weakling like that. Not to mention he was basically dead after that fight with the black minotaur."
'And yet I could slice your throat in less than a second, puppy.'
"Yeah, that may be true but yesterday, me and the rest of the lookout team saw him almost walking normally outside his house, with no indication of any injuries apart from a slight limp." Aki retorted to the Werewolf. A few others who were there nodded in support of what their commander said.
"Ok and! He can heal fast; it just means we need to his kick ass more!" The werewolf spat back.
"Enough, Bete." Finn interrupted. " Truthfully, we know very little about this boy. All we know is from the war game. From that, we discovered he can easily take care of a large group of level 1s and 2s. He wields a pair of swords and he has some sort of wind magic that is similar to Ais'."
"He is also very good at hiding himself, he was able to sneak up on a group of us a month ago," Tione said, remembering the night when they found Bell Cranel in Daedalus street, only for the half-elf to appear out of nowhere.
"So that means we need to stay on our feet, he could be watching you at any time, ready to launch."
'You have no idea, The Braver.' Nathan thought, smiling to himself as he saw more than a few look around nervously, hopelessly hoping to find him.
"He is probably our biggest challenge to deal with aside from Bell and the monsters. For anyone lower than level 4 and you spot him, do not engage and either just stand down or call for help." Finn said, knowing that the what the guild had posted about the half-elf being a level 3 was msot likely a lie, but why would they lie about it was the next question that popped into his mind. The prum quickly got rid of thw the thought so he could focus on the task at hand. He just put it down to Hermes wanting to hiding his Familia's actauly level's
'Heh, they aren't underestimating me as much as I thought. They have no idea what I can do.' Nathan thought, now anxious for the fight to commence. However, all of that was put to a stop when he heard the main part of Finn's plan.
"The real plan is to use the armed monsters as a decoy to draw out the Evils' remnants from Knossos."
All the blood drained from Nathan's face. His eyes widened in shock and any smile was wiped from his face. He instinctively gripped the spherical object that was in his back pocket, his fingers gliding over the red D engraved on its face.
As Nathan continued to listen in on the Braver's plan to fight on two fronts, he slowly made plans himself. As much as he hated what he was going to do, this was more important, wasn't it? As Nathan followed the Loki Familia as they moved their camp into the centre of Daedalus street, he was still arguing with himself about what to do. The rain had slowly come to a stop and as the night sky began to take over from the daylight, the signal for battle was announced.
"OOOOOOOOooooooo!"
Nathan knew this was Lyd and he knew that Lili was going to begin her start to battle. With the fight underway, the half-elf had decided what he would do.
Mikoto and Welf were currently running through the centre of Daedalus street, hidden by the invisible robes they were wearing. Just behind, the Xenos were running, the pair having just got to them and now they were currently halfway through their escape plan. A group of Archers began to ready their bows, 20 arrows simultaneously being knocked. Welf and Mikoto saw this and readied their sneak attack as they had yet to be spotted by the archers or the rest of the Loki Familia. Just before the arrows were released, the strings of the bows fell into two, stopping any arrow from being fired. This then allowed for a quick attack from Welf and Mikoto with the Crozzo magic swords to take care of the archers. None of the people or monsters present noticed the slight gust of wind that passed next to the archers.
As the Xenos engaged a group of adventurers, Mikoto held up her wrist to her mouth. On it was an arm guard that housed a green crystal orb.
"Lady Haruhime! Tell me the way forward!" Mikoto screamed into her Oculus.
"There's a road off to the right a little farther ahead. Where Nathan is positioned." Haruhime responded.
"What do you mean Nathan, he isn't here."
"He must be keeping himself hidden," Welf shouted back. "That would explain why the archers didn't fire any arrows, he must have dealt with that somehow." A small smile emerged onto the smith's face, knowing that with Nathan around, it would make things a lot easier.
"Yes, he asked where he was needed and Lady Hestia pointed him in your direction to help guide the Xenos," Haruhime said, explaining the situation.
"Found ya!"
The next moment a voice came from in front of the group and the smile on Welf's dropped.
"Shit!" The smith said as he stared at the opponents that had just dropped down ahead of them.
"The Hryute Sisters!"
Welf and Mikoto immediately dropped what they were doing and ran to intercept Tiona and Tione. When they both fired off their ice daggers, thinking for sure they had hit it at their blind spots, the twin's dodged it. Because of this attack out of seemingly nowhere, the sisters were able to quickly deduce that at least two people were around. The terrifying intuition of a first-class adventurer sent shivers up the two Level 2s spines. However, even when they were faced with insurmountable odds, the pair didn't back down.
"Run, Run!" Lyd commanded the rest of the Xenos, ordering them as far away from the Amazon sisters as fast as possible. This, alongside the invisible, magic-wielding opponents keeping them back, was starting to annoy Tione as she had jsut used up her arsenal of throwing equipment.
"Tiona, you throw something too!"
"Okay, but Urga is all I've got!" Tiona called back before hurdling the double-edged sword.
The massive hunk of metal was impossible to fend off. All who were in its path could only watch as it hurtled towards them. It seemed to be heading straight for an invisible Mikoto who, with only the strength of a level 2, could only watch as it spun straight in front of her eyes. The Far-eastern woman closed her eyes, ready to accept the inevitable that was her head being split in two by the unstoppable weapons. Her wait turned into a second, then into two, then a few more passed by until a name was spoken from her left, where she knew Welf was standing. A name that she was never more grateful than in this moment to hear.
"Nathan!" The smith cried.
Nathan had asked Hestia where he was needed and he was informed of where Mikoto and Welf were heading. As he got near, he no longer needed Hestia as a guide as he could use the loud footsteps as a guide to where to go. As the half-elf reached Welf and Mikoto just in time to dismantle a few bows that were being aimed at the charging group of monsters. Staying in his stealth mode, he ran past the archers, cutting the strings of the weapons with a knife he kept on his belt. The half-elf then followed the group for another minute until they got entangled in another brawl. Nathan didn't think he needed to come out and help as Welf's magic daggers were doing clean work on the enemy. That was all until the Hyrute sisters appeared, causing Nathan to sweat at the mere sight of them and what entailed.
Nathan could only watch as the Xenos began to retreat and he looked on as he heard Mikoto and Welf's footsteps step forward in hopes of taking on the two Level 6s. He had wanted to engage as soon as they appeared but he held himself back, as the Hestia Familia was still trying to stay hidden so as not to show any help towards the monsters. But Nathan could no longer hold back when Tiona readied to throw her massive weapons directly at where Nathan heard an invisible Mikoto stop. So the half-elf dived in just in time to block Urga with his pair of swords, drawing them in an X shape. He grunted at the pwoer and weight behind the weapon, sending him back into Mikoto. He threw the amssive weapon in to the air, pushing both of them onto the ground. Urga landed on the ground a few metres to their right, just in front of a building.
"Nathan!" The masked boy heard Welf shout from his left. He didn't look over there though, as it would give away his position more than his shout had done already. Instead, Nathan stared down at the two Amazon standing in front of him. Truthfully, he wanted nothing more than to disappear back into the shadows, his instinct ability screaming at him to not engage. But that would mean leaving Mikoto and Welf to face off against the two and he preferred to do it himself.
"Mikoto could you tell Lady Hestia that I'm about to engage in a fight. Apologise to her for me, please." Nathan whispered to the girl as he got up off of her.
"What, no. You won't be able to do it. You will be crushed."
"Maybe, but it might give you the few extra seconds you need."
A silence descended over the cobbled street.
"But-"
"Leave him Mikoto. As much as I hate it myself, he is right. We need to get going." Welf stated.
Seeing as she could not argue back, Mikoto delivered Nathan's message to Hestia and turned back to catch up to the Xenos. Just before following the far eastern girl, Welf gave Nathan a small gift.
"Take this Nathan and… don't die."
"You too mate, you too," Nathan responded as he heard his companions' footsteps run off behind him. As his eyes were glued on his enemies, he slowly turned his head to the now exposed sword that lay on the ground where Welf once stood.
None of the three dared move, waiting for the other to move first. Tione cracked her knuckles alongside a smile starting to form. Tiona too was bracing herself to fight. However, both knew that there were more important issues at hand and that they needed to catch up to the monsters running in the opposite direction. And after an infuriating night, it was Jormungadr who broke first. She jumped straight at the boy with all her level 6 speed. However, due to his instinct ability telling him to jump away, Nathan dodged the pre-emptive attack. He judged his jump and dove straight at the magic sword laying on the ground. Seeing this, the other sister also sprang into action and jumped at the sword, hoping to catch the half-elf quickly and end this fight before it started. Though, to both the sister's surprise a bustle of dark green wind sprouted out of the boy's body just as he jumped off. Neither of them had heard him chant and as his mouth was covered by a neck muzzle, they couldn't see his mouth. With this extra bit of agility added by his wind wrapping around his legs, Nathan just about made it to the sword and then narrowingly ducked under the arms of the level 6 amazon. Before Tiona could react, Nathan pushed himself off the ground straight into a nearby shadow, masking his presence.
Nothing happened for a few seconds before once again Tione grew annoyed.
"Tiona let's go. He isn't worth spending time on, let's chase them down."
"Ok, underst-FFFFFFFFWSSSSSSH!"
Tione watched as her sister was hit by a massive gust of wind. It was nothing like the wind that covered the half-elf, instead, it was almost like a roaring tornado had just slammed into her sister. The older twin looked around at her surroundings but couldn't see anything, only the small spots of cobble the moonlight shone down upon. The rest was covered up by shadows.
'He can move in the shadows. That's how we never spotted..'
"WSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Before Tione could finish her thought, another massive gale slammed into her from behind, sending her hurtling towards the same building her sister had slammed into.
'Damn Welf, this is one hell of a sword, puts my magic to shame.' Nathan thought as he watched the now destroyed house he had sent the two sisters into, still immersed in shadows.
'Let's see how long I can keep this up.'
Nathan stared at the now-demolished bottom floor of a house to watch the Amazon twins emerge. One was looking incredibly pissed off while the other could only look around in confusion.
"I wonder what that was?" Tiona thought out loud.
"It's one of those Crozzo swords, that redhead must have made them." Tione clarified to her sister.
"That doesn't matter anyway" She continued. "Oi, half-elf! Stop being a coward and fight like a man!" The amazon shouted to no one, though the person she was referring to cracked a smile.
"And why would I do that?" A voice came from to the left of Tione. In an instant, the wall next to her was turned into a pile of rubble.
"I'm not stupid enough to fall for weak taunts, Jormungandr." The voice said from Tiona's right, making her let out a quick eep in surprise from the younger of the sisters before she could pull out urga from the ground.
"Tch, what are you scared or something." Tione continued her slander.
"If that's how you wanna think of it, then sure." The quiet voice said ahead of them.
"Why don't you just come out already so we can beat you and continue what we need to do." Tiona butted in, herself starting to get annoyed. She wasn't the smartest but she knew when she was being toyed with.
"What an idea, I'll get on that." The voice said, once again in a different place.
The sarcasm was not appreciated in the slightest by Tione who was only getting more and more worked up. When her bumbling sister then commented on the boy lying about coming into the open, the final nail in the coffin was slammed in. She came up with two plans on the spot.
"THAT'S IT! I'VE HAD ENOUGH!." The amazon bellowed. "Tiona!"
"Y-yes," Tiona said, caught off by her sister's outburst.
"I can take care of this fool; you continue on with the mission."
"R-roger." Tiona said, as she pulled out Urga from the ground.
However, just when Tiona started to make her way down the street the monsters retreated to, another massive gust of wind slammed into her, sending her flying away down the streets. With no buildings in the way to stop her flight, the amazon kept going until she was out of hearing range and sight. However, Tione didn't care for this as her sister had done exactly what she wanted her to do. In using her sister as bait to notify the position of the boy, Tione immediately jumped in the direction the wind came from. This was her first plan, to take him by surprise. Though, like the other time, she grabbed only thin air. Little did she know how close she actually was.
Nathan's watched as Tiona ran towards him. As soon as Tione gave the instruction, the half-elf made his way to a spot where he could effectively use Welf's magic sword. His aim this time was to narrow the fight down to a 1v1 by getting rid of the younger sister all together. His plan became a resounding success as he watched the amazon hurtle down street after street, eventually losing sight of her. However, his instinct kicked into high gear and made his body involuntarily jump upwards. When he looked down, he saw a cloud of dust where Tione was standing a second ago and then he saw the bronze-skinned woman standing right below him. The most frightening thing about the view was that the Amazon was now looking up directly at him. Her plan had been a success, Nathan was now out of the shadows and into her eyesight.
Tione didn't waste any time and launched herself into the air. Nathan, with his wind magic active, pushed off a wind platform under his right foot, just clearing the left hand of the amazon. When Tione slammed into the ground, she looked back up.
"How the hell are you doing that. I thought you're magic was like Ais'. She can't do that."
Nathan didn't respond as he looked down upon the amazon from where he stood on his dark-green wind. Both of his swords we sheathed while the magic sword was firmly in his right hand.
Not wasting any more time talking, Tione once again jumped into the air but instead of dodging like last time, Nathan swung his right arm down. He had gained just enough height to be able to react in time to the level 6's speed. The wind got a direct hit and Tione went from jumping up to slamming into the cobblestone road in an instant, creating a small crater.
Nathan could only gulp however when the amazon stood back up and as she wiped the sweat from her forehead, a smile appeared.
'I knew Amazon's have ridiculous vitality but this is ridiculous.'
'Now it's time for plan B.'
Battles could be heard throughout Daedalus street. Loki Familia fought tooth and nail against the Violas and Evils' remnants spewing out of Knossos. A golden dust-covered Amazon was currently taking on a battle-hungry Werewolf as she protected who she saw as a little sister. A golden-haired girl was now in hot pursuit of her original target as she left a masked covered adventurer defeated after a 3-minute battle. A group of fairies were preparing to enter Knossos in hopes of catching the monsters. A prum girl ran from where a cat girl was about to... get information from a member of Evilus while also retrieving a key to Knossos. A flat-chested amazon had just let a young girl-looking monster escape, doubts and thoughts plaguing her mind with the added concern on where her sister was. And a half-elf and said Amazon's sister was currently playing a game of cat and mouse.
Nathan realised what the Jormungandr was planning as he saw a few cracks appear on his magic sword as he dodged another incoming attack, his instinct ability on overdrive. Tione had concluded that the half-elf was too much of a threat to let go as she kept trying to catch her prey. Whether that was from jumping off the ground or pushing off buildings. She had tried to throw rocks and rubble at him but he kept dodging them or cutting them in half with the sword. Once, she tried to hide behind a rock she threw and attempted to catch the weapon mid-way through the swing but it was almost like he could read her every move as he chose to dodge and jump even higher. That wasn't an issue however for the level 6, as long as she kept him away from getting back into the shadows, she could bide her time. They both knew this. Tione could do this all day but Nathan could only hold his magic for so long and his magic sword was close to shattering as even the amazon could see the cracks. Tione also figured out why the boy just hadn't run away; he couldn't leave her alone. Tione held the upper hand in every possible way and it was only a matter of time before she caught the boy. Nathan didn't mind this, as long as he stalled enough time for the Xenos to escape and for their plan to be successful. Holding one of their strongest opponents at bay for even just a minute was a win in his mind.
Tione made another leap, this time jumping onto a nearby building and using that as a platform to try and reach the half-elf. She had jumped at the perfect angle that if Nathan tried to drop back down in an attempt to get back into the shadows, Tione would be able to grab him. He also, couldn't jump further upwards, as when he dodged the oncoming Amazon, she would land on the tall building behind him, using that as another platform to continue the chase. This would force him to go even higher, something he didn't want to do. The speed of a level 6 compared to a level 4 was just to big of a gap for Nathan to try and drop down as Tione would be faster than him falling. Nathan had underestimated Tione's Battle IQ as she had brought the situation completely under her control in a single move as she now only left the boy with one option and that was to attack her. They both knew Nathan wasn't strong enough to push the amazon back if he attempted to block with his swords so this only left him with one course of action, using the very cracked magic weapon that Tione had been forcing him to use. This could be seen by the now obliterated cobblestone road that Nathan had slammed Tione into countless times with the gale winds that the sword produced.
"SWWSSSSSSHHHHHH!"
Nathan swung the magic weapon once again, sending the amazon flying into the building she had leapt from, another house destroyed by the two's fight. Then the sound that both knew was coming resounded in their ears. For one, it brought a painful wince, for the other it brought out her smile once again as it all but confirmed her victory.
"crrrrrrrrckkkkkk!"
The magic sword in the half-elf's hand shattered to pieces, sprinkling the destroyed cobbled floor with a small shower of small shards of metal. The only sound that followed was the breathing of the two combatants as they both stared at each other. Tione had once again shrugged off the magic sword attack, her berserk skill almost in full effect now, which meant that any damage taken would only increase her strength. Nathan could only watch as the amazon strode out of the rubble, not once breaking eye contact, always on the ball of her feet in anticipation of Nathan attempting to descend or move in anyway.
Tione readied her body, cracking her knuckles and neck, making it seem that their fight was only a mere warm-up. Nathan slowly unsheathed his blades already knowing he would not have any way of properly fighting the amazon. His mind was in overdrive, thinking of ways to deal with the situation. He thought about just running away but couldn't allow such a dangerous enemy on the loose, especially after he had pissed her off to such an extent. Both individuals' eyes were locked for so long, waiting for the first move to be made, that they failed to notice a third person enter the ring.
"Oi, what's going on 'ere. Been getting some noise complaints from the locals."
Both fighters turned their sights to the new person. The sight made Nathan's blood run cold.
'OH, what the fuck. Things just went from bad to worse, I've gotta get out of here.'
"Gareth, what are you doing here!" Tione asked as she looked at her senior, a large dwarf man. A large battle axe settled on his back as he comfortable walked into the battle arena.
"You two seemed to 'ave made quite a mess 'ere, ain't ya."
Gareth surveyed the surrounding battlefield, taking in all the amazon-sized holes in the floor and the massive piles of rubble and debris littered where houses should have been.
"What's that lad done to you, Tione!"
"HE has been pissing me off is what he has been doing!" Tione stated, pointing a finger pointed to where Nathan floated. Well, was floating a second ago
"What ya pointing at lass?" Gareth questioned as he followed the girl's finger to thin air.
"Huh? OH FUCK! GARETH YOU BASTARD, YOU DISTRACTED ME!"
"Hold your horses, what you on about?"
"YOU MADE ME LOOK AWAY FROM HIM, DID YOU SEE WHERE HE WENT?"
"Ai, he dropped down just over there and… now that ya mention it, he has up and vanished."
"THAT'S CAUSE HE CAN MERGE WITH THE SHADOWS OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. NOT EVEN THAT MANGY MOOT WOULD FIND HIM!"
"Really? That sounds like… something." Gareth pondered as he calmly stroked his beard. The casual nature of the dwarf made the amazon want to tear him lime from limb. He had made her lose her prey, a fight she was going to clearly win. From what she knew, the half-elf was most likely long gone now. He had stalled her enough to bide time for the monsters to escape. This only made Tione's mood even worse.
"GET THE FUCK BACK HERE YOU WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT! I'M GOING TO RIP YOU APART THE NEXT TIME I SEE YOU!" Tione shouted; a resounding gulp shared by everyone within the two-mile radius. Included in that was the half-elf as he watched from a nearby shadow he had dropped into after he realised Tione had become distracted.
"Now lass, calm down. No good came from getting worked up." Gareth said, trying his best to calm the amazon down before she went on a murder spree. "Ye can get him 'nother time, alright. For now, there are more important things goin on."
Tione listened to the dwarf's words, forcing herself to take heavy breaths in order to calm herself down. After a few times, Tione eventually reeled back her bloodthirst and pulled back her almost talon-like fingers.
"Fine! I'm not happy about it but I guess you are right. So, what now gramps? I thought you were meant to be on the Knossos front line?"
The mention of Knossos made Nathan pause the escape he just started. His body refused to move, forcing him to listen on what was going to be said about his old home.
"Well, we managed to push 'em back. They threw a lot of Violas at us but we managed to keep 'em at bay. Now Riveria is takin her young group into there in 'opes of catching them monsters and whoever is leading 'em as Finn thinks they are gonna get to the dungeon that way."
The words sent shivers down the half-elf's spine. He already knew of the Loki Familia's attempts at conquering Knossos earlier on today but now that he had learned they were actually winning stunned him.
'How do they think they stand a possible chance in there.'
Nathan knew he now had no choice but to go over and enter Knossos. He knew as soon as he saw the members of Evilus he wouldn't be able to hold back but he knew he had to get in there to help out the Xenos from being caught by the Loki Familia. He also didn't want Riveria, his aunt, dying in there, the smallest childish hopes from years ago that managed to survive the years of abuse and neglect rose up in the belief that there was still a chance of reconciliation.
'Fuck's sake.' Was the last thought as he combined his swords together in one hand and reached into his pocket with his other to make sure that the round object was still there. To his regret, he grabbed onto it and rushed towards his past.
The two battles raged on but the end was close at hand. The grey werewolf had beaten his opponent into the ground, leaving the golden-haired fox to take care of the bloodied and bruised amazon. The golden-haired swordswoman had finally confronted the white-haired boy as he guarded the gate in which he let the Vouivre run down. A group of eleven elves bolted into Knossos, a streamline of magic, taking out any who dared step in its path. A red-haired monster was being informed of the elves' invasion as she stared at a massive pillar of green meat. A raven-haired cat girl and a group of other Loki Familia watched on in horror as the remnants of evil that were trying to run back into Knossos screamed for their lives, all while a half-elf was making quick work of each and every one of them. After all the screams were silenced, the groan of the Orichalcum door opening only intensified the horror of the Loki Familia as they saw the object that the half-elf raised shine red. They couldn't speak as they couldn't figure out what they had just seen.
As Nathan swung his double-edged sword, getting rid of the blood on it, he held up his wrist to his mouth, a green orb shallowly glowed as he began to speak, the cold voice bringing out a sweat on everyone who heard it.
"Lady Hestia, I need your permission to fight."
And that's another chapter wrapped up and the next one already in the workds. I'm back in mood lads and lasses.
Hope you enjoyed this chapter as much as I enjoyed writing it. I always try and integrate the canon story as much as possible, even down to the smallest moevements and interactions and then smash that to pieces as Nathan is now involved. If I got any info incorrect btw, feel free to inform me but I am re reading the LN as I go along so I shouldn't miss anything, though I am skimming over them.
Next Chapter Nathan re enters Knossos again but this time he will be alone when facing two different sides to his past.
Reviews:
JANK7457 - Yes I know, unfortunatley I am still breathing, shame really but oh well. And just as much you were bored, I was agiated at how little I was doing for this story but hopefuly we are back in thw swing of things.
alex882 - Welcome to the story, really glad you like it. I also like the Aki part. I've never understood the Loki Familai executive system but it is what it is. And don't worry, Lefiya's role in this story will only increase from here.
