Prologue
In a secluded valley famous for its light showers, lies a farm at the edge of the town. It appears to be quaint and homey from afar, yet this plot has been run by weeds and various obstacles. A wild vegetable or two can even be seen thriving despite the neglect.
Despite the neglect, this place has served its purpose for the current owner and will continue to do so for several generations.
It won't be long before another would accept the inheritance left behind, he thought.
This inheritance has been decided through careful planning and thoughts since he - Old man Bill - knows his grandkids best.
Neither one would be happy in their future if left alone without his guidance, his wife once said. Hearing her say so, he thought long and hard about what to do to ensure each one would be content after finding their own place.
That in mind, he looked around and thought about his choices. Outside the window, watching his farm, he found his answer. After reflecting on his choices and some, he chose the farm above all. He himself was once a city dweller and knows better the pressures that came with it.
And on that same night, he composed his letter... Dear Iris and Rose... When you open this letter...
Outside the cottage, it was also on that night that the forest started to change, awaiting for them to arrive.
~Years Later~
When the elderly man has passed, the place has long fallen into disarray without anyone but nature to care for it.
Years have passed as the farm became a contrary from its heartwarming days. Gone where the times when the small family have tended to it.
But after a number of years, someone came to inherit their grandparent's plot of land and house.
Secured with a promise of a new start, both sisters moved in at the start of the spring.
Welcome to Stardew Valley Ms. Iris and Ms. Rose.
Author's note:
Hi! Since this is the beginning please be patient. The head cannons for me are very different and that some of the people or NPC's attitude are a bit different from the game. Mods and the like may also have influence the others.
All rights go to their respective authors with the plot and OCs' being the only one I claim.
