Summary:
With Aki going into a new pretend play phase, Shinji and Asuka as good parents set up a whole adventure for her at the lake.
"Pirate Aki"
It was another hot summer day for the Ikari family and due to the immense scorching heat both Asuka and Shinji decided to have all three of them spend the day at the lake to cool off, though they also had one more reason to go there.
"Yo Ho, Yo Ho, ein Piratenleben für mich! Wir rauben, wir plündern, wir klauen und stehlen "
Shinji couldn't help but smile at his daughter through the rear view mirror of the truck as she continued to sing in German while she was secure in her child seat, eagerly excited to arrive at their destination. Unlike her normal standard attire, Aki was dressed differently for today, wearing a black vest over her normal clothes, a black eye patch over her left eye and lastly wearing a big pirate hat. Her trusty doll Kiko was at her side, wearing a little paper hat.
They themselves were wearing makeshift adult pirate clothes, though Shinji couldn't help notice that Asuka had spiced up her look somewhat. With the combination of an eyepatch, her wearing her red two piece swimsuit, cutoff shorts and thick boots made Shinji once again very appreciative of his good fortune on having someone as beautiful and erotic as Asuka.
The reason for all this this was as of late, Aki, as not unusual for her age, had started to get into these childish pretend phases after reading children's books and watching stuff on the kid videos. So far Aki had pretended to be a princess, superhero, a doctor, a robot, a pilot (not the Eva kind) and lastly being a cat/lion.
Each time Aki got into theses phases both Asuka and Shinji did their absolute best to play along with the little girl. More to make her happy but it also gave the two parents something to do when they indulged in the girl's pretend fantasies. Often the two parents would either make or find costumes and props to elevate the pretend play, much to Aki's delight of her Mama and Papa playing along with her.
This time, her newest interest was in pirates and thus this new pretend phase was Aki becoming a pirate which the girl proclaimed herself as 'Captain Aki'. Like the previous times, both Asuka and Shinji went above and beyond to make this fantasy as real as possible, with both parents (or more accurately just Shinji) preparing something at the lake beforehand a day before for "Captain Aki's Special Pirate Adventure in Finding the Buried Treasure".
Finally arriving at the lake, all three members exited the car. Aki, being the most excited, was the first to exit and began barking orders as soon as her bare feet hit the soft ground.
"Aaaarrrrgggghhhh, avast me land lover, prepare the ship, ready the cannons and clean up the poop deck and….um." Aki suddenly stopped her pirate speech/rant. She had a look of confusion on her little face, as she turned to look at her parents who just finished taking their supplies out of the car and were wondering why Aki had suddenly stopped.
"Mama, Papa, does the poop deck really have poop on it?" Aki asked questionably.
Both parents looked at the small girl and to each other before chuckling at their daughter's question.
"No honey the poop deck doesn't have actual poop on it." Shinji reassured his daughter. "It's called that because….um, because…" Shinji himself now had a look of pure confusion and turned to his wife to see if she herself knew the answer only for him to see the same look of confusion when she caught his look before shrugging her shoulders. Clearly both of them didn't have the answer to this one at all.
"Well Aki, while we don't know why it's called that, we assure you that it's definitely not related to actual poop," Shinji gave his daughter the only answer he could give and hoped it would be enough.
Luckily Aki seemed to accept this and went right back into her 'Captain Aki' persona. "Well um…ah! Aaaarrrgghhh, all hands on deck! First mate Mama!"
Asuka played along with a salute at being called. "Aye captain."
"Crew members Kiko, Papa!"
Shinji sighed softly but smiled while also saluting though not as much energy as his little girl or wife. "Aye captain."
Aki meanwhile raised Kiko's plush arm to the doll's head.
"The time has come to find the buried treasure that's located on the treasure map. Papa! Bring me the map!"
The treasure map in question was just a simple A4 paper that Shinji had hastily drawn the day before, having nearly forgotten to do it due to all the other preparations for today but luckily Asuka had reminded him the night before.
Getting the 'map' out of his backpack and handing it to his 'captain' for her to see, Aki carefully looked at the directions to where the treasure was located, which, if Shinji remembered correctly where he put it, was on the other side of the lake.
"Ok everyone, if the map is correct then the buried treasure is on the other side of the lake, so crew member Kiko and Papa! Prepare and ready the ship!" Aki barked her orders to her lowly crew making Shinji once again sigh deeply.
Seriously, it was becoming a bit scary on seeing Aki barking orders and demanding everything. It reminded him that Aki was indeed her mother's daughter.
The 'ship' he and Kiko were tasked in preparing (or just mainly him) was just a simple rowing boat that he luckily managed to find ages ago, even using it himself many times to fish out on the lake. Clearly neither he nor Asuka could actually build a proper pirate ship but Aki seemed to be satisfied with just having this one ship at all.
With all three now on the "ship" Shinji rowed it towards the destination while pretending to be oblivious and following his captain's directions. Eventually reaching the other side of the lake, Aki still holding the treasure map, got to the maps final destination (with a little help from Asuka) which was between two trees that were bent facing together which kind of looked like an X. The ground beneath the tree's also looked like it was freshly dug up, so it wasn't hard for anyone, including Aki to guess that this was the spot.
"Yes! We found the spot. Ok crew let's start digging and get to the treasure!" Aki ordered her crew.
Shinji didn't bury the "treasure" too deeply before and so it didn't take the family too long, only a few minutes, to get the chest out of the hole very quickly. Aki seeing the treasure chest couldn't contain her excitement and started hopping up and down.
"Let's open it! Let's open it!"
"Well what are you waiting for captain Schätzchen, open it." Asuka giving her daughter permission to open her prize.
With permission and no longer wanting to wait Aki opened the chest and her eyes shined brightly and she squealed in delight at the treasure inside. Inside the chest was a different variety of new toys and bags of food and sweets (all still in date and edible). While Aki was taking out and inspecting her goods, her wide and bright smile started to fade a bit, something both Asuka and Shinji noticed.
Shinji kneeled down to Aki's level. "What wrong Aki? Is there something missing inside or something?"
Aki shook her head. "No, but everything in here is for me. What about your and Mama's treasure?"
It now dawned on both parents that while they made this pirate adventure for Aki's benefit, as well as the treasure being only for her, Aki however wanted to share the treasure with them too.
Asuka also kneeled down and stroke Aki's cheek and giving her a reassuring smile. "Hey it's fine Schätzchen. Me and Papa don't need any treasure as spending a fun day together is all we ever wanted." Shinji also nodded when Aki looked at him as to confirm her Mama.
Feeling relived that her Mama and Papa didn't feel left out of any treasure, Aki quickly went back to enjoying herself. The three ended up spending a full day at the lake till the end when the sun finally set in the distance and Aki was all but tuckered out and was finally asleep in her mother's arms as she was being carried and being put in her child seat in the truck.
The drive home was very quiet but Shinji didn't think much of it as he and Asuka were just as exhausted and couldn't wait to get home to sleep. As they arrived home, Asuka ended up putting a sleeping Aki to bed while Shinji unloaded their stuff back into the house.
Just as Shinji was about to be finished, he turned to find his wife standing there still in her pirate outfit with a grin on her face, with a similar glint in her eyes and holding something in her hands behind her back. Before he could say anything Asuka handed him a piece of paper.
Shinji looked at it and found it was a rough outline of the houses floor plan, with an x marked on his and Asuka's bedroom.
Finally understanding what this meant Shinji started blushing deeply while looking at Asuka who's grin widened when she knew Shinji understood her intentions. She turned around and started walking away, hips swaying Asuka turned her head, looking back at him, giving him a final wink before turning the corner and out of sight.
Shinji knowing what "game" Asuka wanted to play next, he couldn't help but grin to himself and all the exhaustion he had seemed to disappear. Wasting no more time Shinji followed his wife into the bedroom, eagerly ready to start their private "play".
