edited chapter 15 enjoy

"Come on, I can do this!" right now, Naruto was trying to maintain the current of his lightning Nature.

The exercise in question was holding two metal rods across from each other.

He had to channel his new chakra into one, hoping it will jump to the other.

He's been going at it for a solid hour with no luck.

He was starting to think his luck had run out after separating Kurama from his chakra.

Then he saw something encouraging, the rod in question was giving off a small amount of lightning.

Then a tiny spark jumped from one to the other.

The Raikage said, when the electricity hits the other rod, it should circle through his arm to the body than the other arm.

This would form a small circuit so he can add more chakra to increase the current slowly.

The Raikage was standing across from him, watching his progress.

Naruto shocked A. Why?

After only a few hours was farther along than anyone else, he trained in lighting.

Of course, he was just now maintaining the current where others took a week.

It was small, but even so, it was impressive.

Both of them knew it would only get more challenging from this point on.

After all, the nature of Lighting chakra is easily the most troublesome to master.

It requires an enormous amount of mental energy.

Something Naruto has gained a lot of in his time in the anbu.

But he still has a long way to master lighting chakra truly.

Since this is his second and not first like wind chakra.

He collapsed to his knee, breathing heavily.

"I can't take much more of this," he struggles to say.

"That will be it for the day. I'll start you on another one tomorrow."

"Wait, will I be learning both at the same time?"

"Yes, I'll explain later. Get some rest, Bee; make sure they and or our fellow ninja don't cause any problems," he said before heading back to his office.

"No problem, bro!"

Naruto seals the two rods in a scroll before following Killer Bee with Kukiko and Yamato in tow.

They stopped by a tavern, much to the brother and sister's annoyance since they can't drink.

While Naruto struggled to keep the pain at bay while he ate.

His sister kept a close eye on him in case he needed help.

Yamato and Bee chatted about the state of the village and anything else happening across the continent.

There worse fear happened, a Kumo ninja approached them.

"HEY! What are three Konoha ninja doing Here?" The drunk patron slurred.

He had the Kumo headband on, causing the three ninjas to be on edge since there in a foreign land.

Bee tried to speak up but was over shouted by the ninja, walking over to them.

Naruto fought through the pain from his training to face the ninja in question.

"We were invited here!" he answered.

"Yeah, right, why would the Raikage allow three weak ninjas into our village? Oh, I get it. He wants to show off how great our ninja village is!" he yelled.

Killer Bee stood up, towering over the ninja with a blank expression.

"L-lord Killer Bee didn't notice you there," he said nervously.

"With the permission of my bro, I was the one who extended the invitation unless you want to face the Raikage for your bad manner. Then, I suggest you leave," he said sternly with no rap at all.

It was clear to the Konoha ninja. This is the hidden side of Killer Bee.

They tighten their lips, not wanting to get caught in the crossfire.

A quick look around showed other ninjas are keeping their heads down.

Less than a minute later, the drunk ninja was on his knees, apologizing profusely.

They accepted, the ninja promptly left, not wanting any more trouble.

"Sorry about that. Many in the village are still sore about the incident a few years back!" she said, not rapping for the second time.

"It's no trouble. We expected something like this would happen," Yamato answered for the three of them.

The remainder of the night was uneventful minus a few Kumo ninjas wanting to know what the deal was.

They didn't give any specifics beyond wanting to mend the wound between the two villages.

Surprisingly minus the drunk ninja, they all gave their hellos and hoped for the best.

Wanting to know more, Kukiko had to ask what caused this tension between them.

Yamato waited till they were safely in the rooms with Killer Bee standing guard for the night.

Both Naruto and Kukiko jaws dropped from what they heard.

After conversing with Killer Bee, it was an under-the-table deal with Kumo village elders.

The Raikage didn't even know about it till it was too late.

As you would expect, It caused a political nightmare for both Kages.

Only a handful of ninja took A's side, wanting to drop the matter entirely.

But the majority wanted the Hyuga body as a tribute to the death of their high-ranking ninja.

Since then, A kept a tight hold on the hidden side of the village's deals.

As for the group responsible for the deal, well, some things are better left unsaid.

After breakfast, they met up at the Raikage training ground for the second training exercise.

Once again, Naruto held two rods parallel to each other, wondering what he must do this time.

"This exercise to help understand the nature of lighting itself."

He holds out two rods himself, only for lightning to strike back and forth between them.

"Focus on your new chakra type. You have to create an imbalance by channeling more chakra into one rod. To balance out the difference, your chakra will create electrical discharge striking the one with less chakra," he informed.

Naruto did what he was told to the best of his ability, only for nothing to happen.

He holds them closer. Nothing happens, getting even closer, only leaving a few inches between them.

A few seconds later, a spark jumped from one rod to the next.

"Good, now try to increase the distance between them. Make sure to alternate which rod has the most chakra," he said before taking a seat to watch the boys progress.

Intrigued by the Raikage words, Yamato sat down beside the Kage.

"Is this lighting chakra excise or yin and yang exercise? It's hard to tell," he whispered.

"Both, if he can do this with his lightning nature, if and when he does yin and yang release, it will be easier to do."

"I've never heard of this technique. So why are you telling us this?" Yamato dawns stern expression.

"This excise isn't special to this village. If you're familiar with the two forces, this is a logical step to do," he informed me.

"Strange, I've never heard of this?"

"How often do you see a ninja use both Yin and Yang release."

"Good point. If I may be so bold, who did you learn this from?"

"My father, where he learned this from, I have no idea."

"How does this relate to the one from yesterday?"

"The one on current teaches him to keep constant vigilance on the output, or he could drain himself dry of chakra."

"Like the water walking exercise?"

"Yes, this is basically a more refined version about lighting chakra. How it relates is simple. Continued use will increase Naruto's understanding of lighting, making the first one easier to master," he explained.

"I see; well, since Naruto is busy, allow me to thank you for the assistance Lord Raikage."

"Your welcome" That was all he said as he observed Naruto progress.

One week later

After one week of doing both exercises, Naruto more or less had them down.

He can maintain the current exercise, no sweat, for about five minutes before stopping.

And the imbalance exercise with the same difficulty.

"Thank you for having us here, Lord Raikage," Yamato bowed.

"Thanks for helping me gain control of Kurama's power, Killer Bee, and for the lighting exercise A!." he said with a grin.

Kukiko just giggled at his tone while Yamato had a scared expression from his tone of voice.

He prayed the Raikage didn't take it as disrespect.

The Kage in question just laughed at this for a solid minute.

Yamato was about to apologize for this insolence.

"You're a welcome change. It get's tiring when everyone refers to me as the lord Raikage," he said with a smile.

"I better escort you three to the border now," Killer bee rapped.

"Oh, will we be expecting you at the chunin exams if they're ever in Konoha A?"

"Unless something comes up, maybe," he waved them off only to return to his Kage duties.

After three days, they returned to the village after being gone for just under three weeks.

The first stop was visiting lord Hokage to give a progress report.

"We're back, Jiji!" he said with his traveling partners right behind him.

"I take it the training was successful?"

"Yes, it sure was; before we left, I learned my second Chakra type. It's lighting!"

"At Naruto's request, the Raikage gave him some pointers and two exercises," Yamato added.

"Really, now I never would have guessed you learned your second chakra type at such a young age. You should talk to kakashi. He possesses lighting chakra and should be able to help you."

"Really! I didn't know kakashi senpai had lightning chakra. Is he in the village now?"

"He's on a mission, won't be back for a few days. Then, when he returns, I'll send him to you," he said with a smile.

"Nice, if you don't mind, I got some training to do Jiji!" His sister followed close behind.

"Lord Hokage, how are things with the Hyuga's?"

"Thanks to Hiashi taking my side, we've been able to weed out any that could pose a threat to Naruto. But, unfortunately, they were guilty members on both branches of the family." He said, taking a long drag of his pipe.

"Is that all there is?"

"No, we are confident there are still more Hyuga's who want to get rid of Naruto. But that's proving difficult because the remaining ones are within the Anbu and quite possibly the remnants of Danzo root agents." He held a level glare.

"I see. Well, do you have any leads or grasp on how many that are hidden?"

"Only a handful so far."

"What of the other Hyuga's?"

"Not including Hiashi, many don't want to start an internal conflict within the village. On that note, many are wanting to study his jutsu to increase their arsenals." He said with a proud smile.

"Well, that's nice to hear. But, unfortunately, some of the most powerful Jutsu's are based on existing ones! So, if that's all, I will take my leave."

"You are dismissed."

Naruto once again was at a training ground practicing his exercise the Raikage showed.

With his sister kukiko, not far away, working in her water, Jutsu.

He spent two hours improving his control bit by bit.

Then they both felt an extra pair of eyes on them.

"I know you're there!" Naruto declares.

Two seconds later, an anbu agent by the name of Lion stood before him.

"What do you need, Lion?" He was still focusing on his lightning nature.

"I heard you completed this jutsu of yours after getting that book on the chakra network. I was hoping I could get a demonstration?"

"I suppose so" a few seconds later, he released one from his hand, causing a dust cloud."Are you happy?"

"Ok, that is cool! Think you can explain how it's done?"

"Fine, I'm getting tired of my lightning nature training."

He walks over and explains how the jutsu works.

"If it wasn't for Kurama's chakra, I doubt I'd ever been able to make it!"

"Wow, that's pretty cool, and that's why my clan elders were up in arms about it!"

"Why would they be like that?"

"From what I have seen, it is very similar to our taijutsu."

"Really now?"

"Because you release your chakra from a specific area of the body, like our gentle fist attack."

"Seriously!"

"Up till now, no one has ever been able to do that, or at least a combat-ready form."

"Is there anything else I need to know?"

"Well….have you noticed any eyes on you after you completed the jutsu?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Well, there is a very high chance they are from my clan. From what I've heard from our fellow anbu, they want to classify your jutsu as forbidden jutsu; I'm sure you can understand why."

"So they're gunning for me because I created an awesome new jutsu!. What about you?" It was clear to Kukiko and Lion that he had his guard up from Lion's words.

"As anbu, we work directly for the Hokage, so no need to worry about me. On top of that, many in the clan want to study to help develop new jutsu."

"Really! I suppose I can write up everything I learned during the time I developed it," he said in a thinking manner.

"Well, that's good. The Hokage has rooted out many in opposition to this jutsu. But there are still those in hiding, so watch your back!"

"Duly noted, if you want to know more about it, I suggest you stick around for a bit. I really need a break from training."

Lion pulled out a scroll and ink, taking in everything Naruto had to offer.

He even tried some of it out, wanting to get a basic understanding.

To his luck, he was able to add his chakra nature to his strikes.

"Unfortunately, it wasn't much as the Hyuga were never big into chakra nature jutsu.

"Hope it helps, and after seeing that, I might do the same with my new chakra type."

"What is it?"

"It's lightning!"

"Really, I never would have guessed. I would not want to get hit with that!"

"If that's all I need to have a conversation with the Hokage!" Lion and Kukiko recognize that tone all too well.

"Naruto…" he said with unease.

The two anbu are worried about Naruto's fate and the Hokage.

"Relax, nothing bad will happen." That all he said before he shunshined away.

"I hope he knows what he's doing," his sister added.

"You and me both, Trout." He took his leave only for Kukiko to hunt her brother down.

With the Hokage.

He is doing his standard Kage duties when a familiar presence shows up.

He looked to his window pulling it up to see Naruto in his anbu gear sitting outside, twirling a kunai.

"What is it you need, Kitsune?"

"I just learned that certain ninjas are not pleased with my shock wave jutsu!"

"You heard about that," he cringed.

"Yes, you can thank Lion!"

He moved aside for Naruto to get in.

"I didn't want to worry about having a target on your back. So while you were gone, I've been actively prying it off."

"I figured as much. I just wish you told me Instead of finding it out from a comrade."

"So, what did you tell Lion?" He said with a level glare.

"Just some basic stuff, and he learned to add his chakra nature to his Hyuga taijutsu!"

"Really, now that good to hear my ninja helping each other out."

"Of course, the Hyuga's were never into elemental jutsu, so I doubt it will be of much help."

"Do you think they'll be able to do the shock wave jutsu?"

"I doubt they will be able to learn the jutsu. It was a massive pain. But, it was because of Kurama's chakra I was able to grasp the concept!"

"I know, so is there any new jutsu you are working on?"

"I'm hoping I can use lightning to strengthen my punches." he punches the air in anticipation.

"I have complete confidence you will succeed. All though I am worried if the Raikage come to the Konoha for chunin exams-"

"I know," he answered, not needing him to finish his sentence.

"What about Kurama's power?"

"He's still recovering from the chakra I took. Once he is back to full strength, he'll help me master it."

"How would that work?"

"From my conversation with him and Killer Bee, I can freely cloak myself in his chakra."

"I assume you won't have to deal with his influence on your mind?"

"If what he says is true, then yes, I'm gonna leave so you can work on that paperwork." He points to a medium-size pile.

"Good-by Naruto, after Kakashi gets back, stop by. I might have a mission for you."

"Hai," he shunshinned away.

Two days later

It was early in the morning when Naruto heard a tap on his window.

He stumbled over and opened it to see Kakashi "about time you showed up," he said with a yawn.

Kakashi sweat drops at this. "Naruto the Hokage said you needed my help with something?" he had a good idea why after discovering Naruto's second chakra type.

He only holds out his hand to see sparks of electricity go back and forth between all his fingers.

"The Raikage gave me starting tips. Then, Jiji said, you have lightning chakra, so you can help me master it!"

"I suppose I can teach you a jutsu that can help, But I have to clarify this jutsu is not to be used as a weapon," he said sternly.

"Stupid question, but Why?"

"Just get your stuff ready, then I'll tell you when we start training."

"Hai"

After 10 minutes, Naruto was saddle up, ready to go.

They stopped to get breakfast before heading outside the village.

When they stopped after an hour of traveling, it was an arid landscape.

Kakashi stood before him doing three hand signs putting his hand down.

Moments later, what can only be described as lightning was arcing from his hand.

He runs toward rock popping out of the earth, only slams his fist against it, forming a decent-sized creator.

"This is jutsu I developed for my lightning Nature called Chidori. So if you can master this jutsu, you've got lighting nature. So ready to begin?

"You know it kakashi Senpai!"

One month later.

Naruto just jumped back as Kakashi eyed him down before going to a large rock with a creator in it.

"Seems four puffs a day if your limit is based on your chakra capacity Naruto."

"That's good to know, so have I mastered Chidori?"

"It seems so, just a reminder this jutsu is not a weapon for you. The only reason I taught you is to master your lightning Nature!"

"I know you told me ten times already!"

"I'll say it ten more times to cement the notion this is not for combat! Now that you've mastered it, you can create your own lighting jutsu!"

"Got it, Kakashi senpai," he said with an annoyed tone.

"Chin up, you've mastered not only chakra form, but chakra nature for both wind and lightning!"

"I'll be unstoppable now," he punches the air.

"Don't count your chickens just yet, Naruto. A cocky attitude like that gets a lot of ninjas killed," he said with a dead-serious expression.

"Sorry, Kakashi senpai, I'll try not to let this get to my head!"

"Good one more thing, is there any jutsu you want to create with lightning chakra?"

"Well, obviously, I want to be able to use Chidori in combat. But, unfortunately, it looks like I'll have to find a way around the tunnel vision problem. The only other one that comes to mind is powering up my punches!"

"Now that I'd like to see!"

"Well, I better get going, Kakashi senpai. I have another mission to do." He shunshinned away.

Kakashi took his sweet time back to the village. They've been practicing in the arid landscape a few dozen kilometers away from the village.

Two hours later

Naruto stood before the Hokage, waiting for his mission.

"So, what do you have for me today Jiji?"

I want you to patrol the border we share with the land of rain. There have been reports of unrest in the land of rock!"

"Hai!" He shunshinned away to get his traveling gear.

Within the hour, he had all his stuff heading out the secret entrance toward the land of rain.

Elsewhere

The now missing ninja Deidara is riding on the back of a clay bird away from the devastating hidden stone village.

"Oh, where to next, how about Konoha?" he said with a grin as his art changed directions.

With Naruto

It would take him a day to reach the border with his superior speed.

Little did he know he would encounter someone who would be one of his closest friends.

He stopped about a kilometer away on a large tree branch to take in his surroundings.

"Do you feel anything, Kurama?"

"I sense something wicked in the skies above."

Naruto learned Kurama had a wider antenna than him.

He used it as often as he could.

About 20 minutes later, he felt something in the skies above "is that it?"

"Yes"

He moved to a higher branch to get a better view.

He didn't see anything at first. Then he noticed a white creature about 200 meters in the air.

It was strange as if it was a bird, but it didn't look like any bird he recognized.

"Naruto, be careful. There's something off about it!"

"I know."

As he gazed at the bird, he saw someone standing on its back; a little bit later, it was a blonde guy with a headband on.

Naruto couldn't decipher what village he's was from.

Then the guy dropped something. It was several white creatures falling.

A few moments later, they all blew up, sending him back to another tree.

"What the hell was that!"

"Explosive jutsu," Kurama supplied.

Then the white creature turned to Naruto.

"CRAP!" He yelled, wanting to get as far away as possible.

Right now, whoever it was had his sights locked on him, and to make matters worse, being in the air put him at an advantage.

He jumped from branch to branch using the brush to cover his landing to jump to another tree branch.

"You better come up with something and fast" just as he said those words, a giant centipede crawled out behind a tree trunk only to explode, sending wood pieces everywhere.

"Guess this is a good time to try out two tails!" Suddenly his whole body was enveloped in red chakra.

With newfound speed and strength, he could make some distance before using the chakra as a slingshot, sending him flying into the air.

They coughed the guy by surprise as Naruto raced towards him.

In a panic, he threw a few bugs to grow in size spontaneously.

Only to blow them up, hoping to knock the anbu agent down.

Only for the ninja to pass right through unscathed

before tackling him off into the forest below.

Deidara struggles to break free but his grasp.

He was scared right now as he could feel blood lust and wrath from this bizarre red chakra.

He couldn't make out any features of his body thanks to the anbu gear and mask.

Except for his small size leads him to conclude this is a kid holding him down.

"I see you're a missing ninja from Iwa country. Mind explaining why you're in Konoha?" he strengthened his hold in him ever so slightly.

His response was spit in the face.

"You shouldn't have done that. Let's see how much you enjoy Konoha's T&I department!"
