Coven Fairy
"So, how did you like your first day of actually touring around the Boiling Isles without everything trying to eat you?" Kali asked Luz as they made their way back into the Owl House.
"It was nice." Luz smiled. "But, what I'm really interested in, is where you grew up Kali."
"You mean Earthland?" Kali asked. "I'm not so sure that's a good idea at the moment."
"C'mon, it's still early out and that tour barely took an hour. What do you say?" Luz asked.
"Fine, I guess if it's that important to you." Kali sighed. "We can go to Earthland, and the Fairy Tail Guildhall. We gotta let Eda know first though."
"Right on." Luz smiled.
"Go pack your things, if we're going, we're gonna be there for a while. When cutting through dimensions, my portal needs a couple days to recharge before it can be used again, since I've pretty much used the maximum limit of its use at this point." Kali said.
"Right." Luz said, before heading for the stairs, Saphira following her.
Heading for the kitchen, Kali sighed as she opened the fridge, and pulled out a couple bottles of Apple Blood.
"Everything alright kid?" Eda asked. "Tour not go so great for Luz?"
"No, the tour went perfectly. But she's wanting a tour of Earthland now, and that's gonna be a hassle." Kali stated, opening one of the bottles.
"How come?" King asked.
"Let's just say… I'm not really liked there." Kali said, Eda knowing what she was talking about. "But I already promised Luz we'd go, so there's no going back."
"Those guys are a bunch of dumb-dumbs." King said. "There's no way, there are people who don't like you."
"I appreciate the sentiment King, but you'd be wrong." Kali said, playfully rubbing the top of his head. "Luz and I will be gone a couple days. My portal tends to need a recharge after a certain amount of uses, and we're about at the limit now."
"Alright, well just be careful. If I recall correctly, Phantom Lord tends to pull some nasty pranks on Fairy Tail, this time of year in Earthland." Eda said.
"Can I come with?" King asked. "Eda's told me stories of Earthland, but I've never actually seen it for myself, and I've always wanted to."
"Eda?" Kali asked.
"It's fine with me." Eda said. "Just be sure you're safe, and don't do anything to draw the Magic Council's attention to you."
"Oh, I'm well passed that warning being needed." Kali said, as Luz came back.
"Ready to go." Luz said, Sapphire landing on her shoulder, with Kali's bag over her neck.
"Thanks, both of you." Kali smiled. "Alright Eda, we're off."
"Be safe." Eda said.
Kali pulled out her gate, and with a zen roll over her thumb, she opened the blade, and tore open a rift through the fabric of reality.
"After you Luz." Kali said, picking up King.
"Bye Eda, see you when we get back." King waved to her, as Kali went through the portal.
With the portal closing behind them, Eda just sipped at her drink, thinking of what else to do since she now had the entire house to herself, for the next couple days.
~Magnolia~
"So this is your home town huh?" Luz asked with a smile as she looked around the town. "It's a bit more rustic then the Boiling Isles, and it seems a lot more like that PG fantasy world I'd envisioned in my daydreams."
"Yeah, it's alright I guess." Kali shrugged, King clinging to her back.
"Hey, why are so many people staring at us?" King asked.
"It could be the little demon clinging to my back like a baby koala to its mother." Kali said. "Or it could be just me."
"Why would that be?" Luz asked.
"Let's just say, if I don't take my medicine, something real bad tends to happen." Kali stated. "Though I will admit, something does feel different about these glares."
"What do you mean?" King asked.
"They're more filled with, hate. As if they're assuming I'm guilty of something." Kali said. "Something that happened, rather recently."
"That's never good." Luz stated, before turning to those leering at Kali. "Leave her alone you jerks."
"Luz, it's fine." Kali said, grabbing Luz's arm and dragging her away.
"But it's not right that they're accusing you of something you didn't do." Luz argued.
"They have every right, to judge me Luz, after what I've done to the town, it's only fair."
"No it's not." King said.
"Let's just get to the Guildhall, and ask my grandpa if anything has…"
Kali stopped talking, when she spotted the Guildhall. From where she stood, her eyes filled with terror, as she saw the metal pillars sticking out from the Guildhall, as it was barely left standing.
"Kali?" Luz asked, before noticing the Guildhall in ruins. "Oh no, don't tell me that's…"
"Fairy Tail." Kali said in a hushed voice, before she began running for the ruined Guildhall.
"Kali, wait up." Luz called out, chasing after her.
"Kali, slow down." King said, still clinging to her back.
Kali continued to run, ignoring their words of protest, before she slid to a halt, her face expressing horror, as she looked at the near destroyed sign of the Fairy Tail Guilds entrance.
"No, what happened here? What could have possibly done this, who could have done this?" Kali questioned.
"Kali, it's gonna… be okay…" Luz huffed, coming to her side.
"What part of this, is okay?" Kali questioned. "We don't know if anyone's dead, we don't know if my grandpa was in there, we don't even know who did this."
"It was Phantom."
Turning around, Kali and Luz saw a slim young woman of below average height with long, white hair, curling slightly at the ends, with two bangs framing her face and reaching down to her rather impressive I-Cup chest. Her bangs were tied up in a short, upward ponytail obtained, exposing her forehead completely. Her eyes were large and blue, while she had a curvy, voluptuous body, with hips to match the size of her breasts. Her clothes consisted of a sleeveless, ankle-length maroon dress with a pleated skirt. The chest of her dress is adorned by a large, pink bow, and similarly colored trimmings framing the rather ample neckline, acting as straps, and circling around the waist. Her footwear consisted of high-heeled shoes that match her dress, while she accessorizes with a small chain necklace with a blue oval sapphire attached to it, and a bracelet made of white flowers circling her right wrist.
"Big sis Mira." Kali gasped, running to her as King jumped off her back and into Luz's arms.
"It's good to see you again Kali." Mira said, welcoming the younger girl in for an embrace.
"What happened here? Who did this?"
"It was Phantom Lord." Mira stated. "They struck in the dead of night, some time after I'd locked up. No one was around when it happened, so no one was hurt."
"That's good. At least no one got hurt." Kali said.
"Who's your friend?" Mira asked, spotting Luz. "Oh, and she brought her pet with her."
"I am no one's pet." King said.
"This is Luz Noceda, and King. They're both living with me and Eda in the Boiling Isles." Kali said as she introduced them. "I brought them over, because they wanted to see the Guildhall, and I thought it might be fun to introduce them. We're gonna be here for a couple days, since my Portal Blade needs a recharge. Where are Natsu and the others?"
"Natsu's team just got back from a recent mission they'd taken for thwarting mountain bandits." Mira said. "They're down in the basement with the rest of the guild."
"Alright, let's get down there, and see what we can do about all this." Kali stated.
Luz followed Kali, and Mira around the wreckage of the guildhall, before they made their way to an outside entrance leading to the basement. As they made their way down, Luz gasped when she saw that there were dozens of people down there, all of them looking ready for a fight.
"Those Phantom Bastards, I'm gonna give them a piece of my mind when I next see them." A blue haired man said, talking to his friend who was smoking a pipe.
"I hear ya Macao." He stated.
"It certainly seems lively in here." Luz stated.
"You have no idea just how lively it can be Luz." Kali said, as they reached a group, where a salmon haired young man was arguing with an old drunk man sitting on a barrel.
"C'mon Gramps, we should be fighting back against those Phantom bastards who did this." Natsu said.
"Pipe down Natsu. I'm aware of what Phantom Lord did, but they're not about to goad us into fighting in an all out war with them." The man stated.
"But Gramps, think about how Kali would feel." Natsu said.
"Why don't you ask me yourself?" Kali suggested, letting them know she was behind them.
"Kali." Natsu gasped, turning around to see her.
"Why aren't we fighting back Grandpa?" Kali asked.
The man Luz now knew as Makarov Dryer, looked at Kali before sighing and putting his mug down.
"Kali, my sweet granddaughter." Makarov began. "The world is far more complicated, then you may know. To retaliate would be to declare war on Phantom Lord, and that would result in breaking the Non-Aggression pact that has stood to maintain the peace between guilds, for decades now."
"But Phantom Lord destroyed Fairy Tail, our home." Kali said.
"Fairy Tail is not destroyed." Makarov said. "For Fairy Tail isn't a place, but a people. So long as the members of our Guild still stand, we will stay strong, and we will rebuild the Guildhall."
"But Gramps…"
"That's enough." Makarov said, his arm extending and growing bigger, as he moved it to slap.
"His arm just grew like he ate the Gum-Gum Fruit." Luz gasped.
Though he'd looked like he was going to slap Kali, he actually ended up slapping a blonde young woman's ass.
"An' why'd you slap me?" She questioned.
"Naughty Master, hands off." Mira huffed.
"Ehehe." Makarov laughed drunkenly, hopping off the barrel.
"Where are you going?"
"Keep your skirt on, I'm taking a leak." Makarov said.
"Stupid Gramps." Kali huffed, turning and marching out of there.
"Kali wait." Luz called, as her friend stormed off.
"Leave her be." Mira sighed. "I'm sorry you had to come at such a poor time. I'm sure if she'd known about this, she wouldn't have brought you."
"Why wasn't she informed though?" Luz asked.
"Fairy Tail, is the only home she's ever known." Mira said. "After her mother died, those of us in the guild were the only ones she could seek comfort from."
"True." Macao said. "She's a good kid, but her home life with her father and brother weren't exactly what you'd call, good. Far from it in fact."
"So, what brings you to the Guild anyway, looking to join?" Natsu asked.
"Well, as fun as that would be, I don't have any magic, so I can't join." Luz stated.
"That doesn't matter. You're learning from Kali aren't you?" Grey asked.
"Eda actually, but maybe I might be able to learn Magic from Earthland. I mean I've felt a little strange since coming through the portal, almost like my body is being charged by something." Luz said.
"That means your body is absorbing the ether in the atmosphere." Mira smiled. "Given time, your Magic should manifest itself, or if you're not to fond of waiting you can learn any Magic that you're compatible with."
"I guess, I wouldn't mind learning some magic, I mean I'm kinda interested in becoming a witch." Luz said.
"Uh…" Lucy looked a little concerned as she looked at her friends.
"What'd I say?" Luz asked.
"Let her dream." King stated.
"That dog just talked." Happy gasped.
"Says the flying blue talking cat." Lucy sighed.
"I am not a dog." King stated. "I am the mighty King of Demons."
"Whose name, is King." Luz said, putting him down. "Why don't you go and see how Kali's doing?"
"Okay." King said, before running off, following the direction Kali stormed off in.
"I'm sure the title of Witch is fine in the Boiling Isles, but here it's more of a derogatory term." Mira said. "A bit of an insult, if that clears it up."
"Oh, I am so sorry I had no idea." Luz said.
"The more appropriate term is either Sorcerer, Sorceress, or Wizard." The red haired armored woman said. "But it's good to know what not to say, in case you offend someone."
"I don't wanna offend anyone." Luz said.
"So now that we've gotten that out of the way, I can take you to our library, or I can show you on a map to the direction of the public library where you could find books on magic that might suit you." Mira said.
"First, we gotta get you your guild mark." Natsu smirked. "Can't be an official member of the Guild without one."
"Whoa, so wait I gotta get a tattoo?" Luz asked.
"It's not that kind of tattoo." Grey chuckled. "You can use a simple spell to hide it, or just hide it under your clothes."
"Speaking of, where are yours?" Luz questioned, turning away while covering her eyes, with a blush on her face.
"Oh shit." Grey cursed, realizing he was standing in front of her, in his underwear.
"We won't force you to get one, but if you choose to get a mark, we can put it somewhere easy to hide." Mira stated. "The choice is completely up to you."
~Later~
"Oh, my mom's gonna kill me when she sees this." Luz sighed, holding up the sleeve of her top, showing the grape purple Fairy Tail emblem on her right shoulder.
"I'm sure it'll be fine." King said, showing he had the emblem on his back in white.
"At least this didn't require a needle to make." Luz stated. "My mom is not gonna be happy."
"She's definitely not gonna think you got it at camp." Kali chuckled, as they made their way down the street, while King slept soundly in her arms.
"You doing okay Kali?" Luz asked, lowering her sleeve.
"I am now." Kali sighed. "I apologize for my little outburst. It's just…"
"Fairy Tail's your home. I get it." Luz smiled, as they reached a building. "Where are we?"
"My house." Kali said, unlocking the door. "After my dad was arrested and put in jail, I found he was withholding a large amount of inheritance money from me that my mom left in my name, he claimed I didn't deserve it, but as soon as I got it, Gramps helped me to invest it wisely, and I bought a fixer-upper for dirt cheap with only one cheque, and used my Boiling Isles Construction Magic, to repair it good as new over the following week. Now you couldn't find any house sturdier."
"You, are seriously amazing." Luz said in awe.
"I call the biggest room." King said.
"That's my room. You both will take one of the guest… rooms." Kali stated, as they walked into the house.
Luz's jaw dropped when she stepped in, and noticed it was ransacked, and sitting in the middle of the ransacked living room, was a short stubby man with a big double chin with black stingers, blonde hair, light purple skin, and a creepy never ending smile on his face.
"Who are you, what are you doing in Kali's house?" Luz questioned.
"What is up with that chin?" King asked.
"Pudding." Kali hissed.
"Pudding?" Luz asked.
"Parasite." Pudding said. "Your father sent me to retrieve you. I've been waiting for over a week for you."
"I'm not going anywhere with you Nullpudding!" Kali stated. "Now get the hell out of my house, before I force you out."
"Really? Such rude hospitality, do you treat all your guests this nice?" Pudding asked.
Kali tsked, before she opened a portal with her blade. Grabbing the intruder, Kali threw him through it, before it closed behind him.
"What was that all about?" Luz asked. "Who was that man, where'd you send him?"
"His name's Nullpudding. I sent him to the frozen tundra up north in the mountains of Fiore. He's a high ranking member of Raven Tail, the guild my dad put together after he got out of jail." Kali said. "Occasionally Ivan will send Pudding to come and retrieve me for some, family bonding, between me and my old man."
"So, why would he need to destroy your home?" King asked.
"Because the family bonding, isn't anything more then physical abuse I'm put through." Kali said, using her magic to clean up the mess. "I'm gonna go out and get a drink, feel free to get comfortable. Sapphire will show you to the guest bedroom."
~Kali~
"Jeez, that stupid Nullpudding. Why does dad keep sending him after me? What does he want me to marry the creep?" Kali questioned, walking through the near empty streets of Magnolia. "I'm not into guys like him, and I'm certainly not gonna give Ivan a grandkid to torture like he's done to me. Honestly though, I don't even know if I'm into guys, or girls. I feel like it's both for some reason."
As Kali continued walking through the streets, Kali sighed in annoyance when not a single store that was still open, was willing to sell her anything. She had company over, and she couldn't afford not to be a bad hostess. Making her way through town, the Dragonslayer got the sneaking suspicion that she was being tailed. Whoever was following her, was good at it, but they weren't a master of shadows, since she was still able to detect them.
"Hey, it's Kali."
The Dragonslayer girl looked up, and smiled when she saw Team Shadow Gear, lead by her good friend Levy, accompanied by Jet and Droy, walking down the street, with the blue haired girl holding a bag of groceries.
"Hey girl, we missed you at the Guild." Levy said. "Mira said you came by with a couple friends in tow from the Boiling Isles."
"Sorry, I had to take care of a few things. An' I had to clear my head for a bit must have just missed you when I left." Kali said. "You guys okay?"
"We're totally fine. Though the Master suggested no one be alone tonight since the enemy could still be in town." Levy said.
"Totally, so we're gonna be spending the night with Levy." Jet stated.
"She's crashing at our place." Droy smiled.
"Try anything with her, and I'll boil you both alive in the waters of the Boiling Isles." Mina stated.
"Yes, ma'am." Jet and Droy said, saluting her.
"Well, it's kinda strange seeing you out this late on your own. Did you get in a fight with your friend or something?" Levy asked.
"Not really. I stepped out to get some drinks, but no one's willing to sell to me, so I'm just heading home, empty handed now." Kali sighed.
"Wait, hold on." Levy said, digging through her bag. "I have some extras you can have." She smiled, pulling a few bottles of drink out from the paper bag.
"What? Really, are you sure?" Kali asked.
"Totally. An' don't worry about paying me back, I heard your friends joined the guild so consider these as my welcome gift to them, so this is no big deal." Levy smiled.
"Oh Levy thank you. I owe you big time." Kali smiled accepting the drinks.
"Relax girl, I know you're good for it." Levy smiled, as they shared a laugh, none of them noticing the silhouette on the roof above, looking down at them with a menacing smirk forming on his face.
Kali's laughter suddenly stopped, as she felt her stalkers menacing presence, before she dropped the drinks, and ran at Levy, her fighting instincts kicking in as she shouted one thing.
"Look out…"
~The Following Morning~
Everything was all a bustle in the park. Normally, things were this lively so early in the morning. But today was the exception, due to what hung from the great Cherry Blossom Tree. The crowd gathered were all in shock, and worried about what they were seeing, as it would surely mean the start of something.
"Out of our way, please, we're from their guild." Erza said, pushing through the crowd, wearing her armor.
Natsu, Lucy, Grey, Happy, and Luz were close behind. Luz had been concerned last night, when Kali never came home from her outing, and King was being all frantic and worried about the whole thing, as he stayed with Sapphire at Kali's house. As they reached the tree, Luz's eyes shrank in horror, when she had spotted three hanging figures, bolted to the stump with the iron nails piercing their forearms, were Team Shadow Gear, bloodied, broken, and unconscious, with Phantom Lords emblem drawn on Levy's stomach.
"Oh no." Lucy gasped. "Levy."
"Jet, Droy." Grey gasped.
"That sigil." Erza said, her body trembling in anger as she recognized the marks painted in blood on Levy's exposed abdomen. "The Phantom."
"That scent." Natsu growled, his eyes shrinking in rage. "It's blood, Kali's blood."
An immense power began resonating through the air, and the crowd parted again, for Makarov as he made his way to the scene, his body trembling with immense anger when he stopped, and looked upon the gruesome sight.
Makarov looked to the three hanging from the stump, before turning his head down, and covering his face with his hand, in some vein attempt at holding in his rage.
"I could look the other way, when they trashed and destroyed our hall." Makarov exclaimed. "It's nothing more then a building, a place that can be rebuilt."
The ground beneath the crowds feet began to tremble as Makarov let off immense waves of power. No one had ever seen the Master of Fairy Tail so pissed, but they knew, the look in his eyes meant he had a lust for, murder.
"But no father, can see the blood of his children, and stay silent. An' if they have Kali, and used her blood to draw that sigil, then that means they've more then crossed a line when attacking my children." Makarov exclaimed, his angered eyes showing pure rage, as his voice and power radiating all around the park. "THIS MEANS WAR!"
~Phantom Lord~
"Dah-hah. That was the best." One of the Phantom Lord members laughed.
"The Fairy Ass building is no more. It's in pieces."
"Gajeel did it. But not only that, he took four of them down. One of whom is that weakling Makarov's own granddaughter."
"By the way, who was 'those two' that Master Jose was talking about?"
"Who knows?"
"He said those two can't be touched."
"Who cares? I say cheers to the pain those fairies are feeling."
"I'll bet their little wings are shivering in terror right now. No way any of them could have the gull to stand up to their superiors now."
"What's say we go and take care a few of those pesky flies ourselves?"
"Sounds like a plan. But who?"
As the trio of Phantom Goons made their way to leave and hunt down Fairy Tail, the doors burst open from the outside, completely destroyed with part of the wall, and building up a cloud of dust, drawing the entire guild's attention to the commotion. As the dust began to settle, all the Phantom Lord guild members were in complete shock, as Makarov stepped through the dust, an angered expression on his face, with the rest of the guild following.
"Fairy Tail has come knocking."
~Hospital~
Things were quiet, and solemn in the Magnolia Hospital. Fairy Tail's medical room, wasn't equipped to handle the injuries all four members had sustained, as Levy, Jet, and Droy laid comatose in the beds. Especially now with the guildhall in ruins, as Lucy sat next to Levy's bed, with a saddened look on her face.
"Jet, Droy, Levy." Lucy said sadly. "They sure can do some awful things, these Phantom Lord Wizards. I can't believe I even considered them as my back up plan, if I couldn't get into Fairy Tail. This is unforgivable. They're unforgiveable."
"You've got that right."
Lucy looked up, and saw Luz standing at the door, with King next to her, and Sapphire on her shoulder.
"Luz, hey." The blonde said. "King, it's good you're here."
"Where are the others?" Luz asked, Sapphire jumping from her shoulder, to Lucy's arms.
"They're currently at the Magnolia Branch of Phantom's guildhall. They've got multiple branches separate from the main hall all throughout Fiore. Natsu was able to follow her scent the Magnolia Branch." Lucy stated.
"I hope she's doing okay, but given it was her blood that was spilled, she's probably in worse condition then these three." King said. "Why would Phantom Lord do this anyway?"
"Apparently, Phantom and Fairy Tail have had a grudge with one another since Phantom was known in First Master Mavis's time, as the Blue Skulls, the predecessor to the Phantom Lord we know today." Lucy said. "At least that's what Mira told me."
"But why would they take Kali?" Luz questioned.
"She's Master Makarov' granddaughter. So it's not to far to think she'd be used as leverage against us." Lucy stated. "I just hope she's okay."
~Kali~
"Let me out of here." Kali growled, pulling at the chains keeping her bound to the wall.
It had been hours since she'd been locked up in the dungeon of Phantom Lord. She was in pain, but that wasn't gonna stop her from fighting back against her kidnappers. She knew that since she and Team Shadow Gear were the ones attacked, Fairy Tail would retaliate, on the Masters orders.
"I said, let me out."
"Pipe down in there." A familiar voice said, causing Kali to look up to see the familiar face of her attacker/kidnapper. "We were hired to grab you, and that's what we did. Now sit tight right there, while we call for the client."
"Blacksteel, you bastard. Do you even know who your client really is?" Kali questioned.
"Don't know, don't care. All I know, is he's Makarov's own kid, and he's very interested in getting you back in his custody, by any means." Gajeel said. "Shame too."
"Why's that?"
"Because I'm missing out on all the action and fun. Fairy Tail just attacked the Magnolia Branch of the Phantom Lord Guild." Gajeel said. "Guess me destroying their Guildhall wasn't enough incentive to attack. I had to beat four of you nearly to death, and kidnap the fourth."
"It was you?" Kali questioned. "You destroyed my home?"
"You call that dump a home?" Gajeel laughed. "That's rich."
"Blacksteel, listen to me." Kali said. "Ivan doesn't want me back in his custody, because he's worried about being a good father. If he were, he would have told you not to harm me."
"Oh really, then what does he wanna do with you then?" Gajeel asked.
"Come in here, remove the golden cuff earring on my right ear, and you'll see why." Kali said.
"Why would I do that?" Gajeel asked.
"Because that earring is a glamour charm. An item that creates an illusion of the enchanters choice, if you remove it, you'll see what Ivan wants to do to me." Kali said.
"Pass." Gajeel said, turning to leave. "I'm not all that interested in what he has planned for you, to be honest."
"Even if that means, he's gonna kill me?" Kali asked.
Those words caused Gajeel to stop, giving the Iron Dragonslayer reason to pause, before he began leaving again.
"Luz, King, Sapphire." Kali sighed, slumping down as she leaned forward to the ground. "I'm sorry."
~Luz and Lucy~
"The town seems kinda dead right now." King said.
"I can't believe everyone just… took off without us." Lucy sighed, walking down the street with Luz, a bag of groceries in her arms, and Sapphire on her shoulders. "But, someone needs to look after the others, so I guess it's up to you and me Luz."
"Right, I'll do my best." Luz said, King on her back, snacking on an apple
"Looks like it's starting to rain, but there aren't any rain clouds. We should find cover, before we're boiled alive." King said, as the water began pouring down on them.
"Wait, the rain is actually boiling on the Boiling Isles? I thought it was just the sea." Luz said. "There's no need to worry though, it doesn't seem like this rain will harm us in any way. Strange that there are no clouds though."
"A spring shower maybe?" Lucy asked, before their attention was drawn forward, and they saw a blue haired woman, walking towards them. "Who are you?" She questioned the woman coming towards her.
"Drip-drip-drop." She said. "Juvia is the rain woman. It's always with me."
"She's creepy." King said, peeking out from behind Luz.
"An' what sort of women are you, pray tell?" Juvia asked.
"I'm just the regular kind." Lucy said.
"Same." Luz stated.
"Drip-drip-drop." Juvia continued as she walked past the two girl.
"What's with all the drip dropping?" Lucy asked, before Juvia pulled out an umbrella.
"Pleasure to meet you, I'll be going now." Juvia stated.
"Well take the rain with ya." Lucy said.
"Dios Mio, she's a little unsettling." Luz said. "But she does bring a refreshing rain shower with her."
"She's got powerful magic, and her aura feels all sad." King said. "Maybe she's lonely."
"No, no, no, no." A voice with a French accent echoed through the air as something, or someone came out of the ground. "Good afternoon, I bid you both bonjour."
"Great, another weirdo." Lucy said. "Stay behind me Luz."
"Did he just sprout out of the ground like a weed?" Luz questioned.
"Juvia, my companion, you mustn't shy away from the task at hand." The man said.
"No, Monsieur Sol." Juvia said.
"My monocle whispers many things to me. It tells me, this girl the blonde standing before us is our target." Sol stated.
"Does it, so she is the one?" Juvia questioned.
"Target?" Luz questioned. "Why would you want Lucy?"
"A pardon moi. I have not introduced myself." Sol stated. "I am Sol, of the Element4, also known as Sol of the Earth. But it'd behoove you both to call me Monsieur Sol."
"I've heard of the Element4. You're with Phantom." Lucy exclaimed.
"Who are the Element4?" Luz asked.
"Phantoms top S-Class Mages." Lucy stated.
"Very good, that's correct." Sol stated. "We've been sent here to collect you mademoiselle and bring you back to the guild with us at once."
"She's not going anywhere with you." Luz declared, with Lucy dropping her groceries, and grabbing her keys.
Unfortunately, the other two were quick to respond, as Juvia encased Lucy in a bubble of water.
"Why are you doing this? Let her out of there now." Luz said, putting King down, allowing for him to hide.
"Don't waste your energy, my Water Lock spell cannot be broken." Juvia said.
"No. I won't let you take her." Luz glared, the Guild Mark, glowing under her sleeve.
As Luz's anger continued to rise, something inside her began giving directions. As if she'd done it a thousand times before, Luz reached out with her arms, and clenched her fists, before she pulled them back, twisting around like she were pulling on a rope. The resulting power that followed, shocked Juvia and Sol, as the water began to move in a snake like motion, before Luz had managed to free Lucy, keeping the girl from losing consciousness, with the water circling around the Latina girl like it was protecting her, before the stream of water took on the appearance of a fierce serpent like dragon.
"You already took Kali, spilling her blood, and harming those who she considers to be her family. I will not let you do the same to Lucy. I will not let you take her." Luz cried out, sending the water dragon towards the two Phantoms, allowing for the rain to make it grow until it was enveloping the entire street.
Juvia and Sol were completely terrified, and began running away, before they were both swallowed up by the attack.
Lucy looked at Luz in shock, as the visiting human was breathing heavily, before she began to fall over.
"Whoa, hold on." Lucy gasped, before Sapphire caught Luz in her staff form. "Nice work Sapphire."
"What was that?" King asked, stepping up to Sapphire, and the unconscious Luz.
"I don't know. But I think whatever it was, Luz just unlocked her magic, from absorbing some of the ether in the atmosphere." Lucy said.
~Kali~
Kali was still low to the ground, contemplating how she was gonna escape from Phantom Lord. Her thought were interrupted however, when the cell door began opening, and she looked up to see the ringleader of this plan himself.
"Well, it would seem your guild's quite a bit more tenacious then I first though." Jose said, standing in front of Kali. "My retrieval team ran into a problem, involving a girl who seems quite adept at water magic, turning Juvia's own power against her."
"Retrieval? You mean you're after someone in the guild, other then me?" Kali questioned.
"Indeed." Jose said. "You see, like you, we were hired by Lucy Heartfilias father to bring her back to him. I mean, why would the daughter of such a wealthy and prosperous business tycoon, stoop so low as to associate herself with a bunch of bottom feeding scum, like Fairy Tail?"
"Bottom feeding? That's rich, coming from the guy whose guild is doing business with a Dark Guild." Kali said. "Do you even know, that Raven Tail isn't a legitimate guild? Ivan is the Master of a Dark Guild, that takes on assassination jobs, and the like."
"It's no consequence to me who I do business with." Jose said.
"Oh but it is." Kali said. "Because when I get out of here, I'm gonna tear this Titan Forsaken hall apart, and you'll be nothing but a withering mess of who you used to be."
"An' how exactly do you plan on escaping my dear?" Ivan questioned with a smirk.
"Like this." She growled.
Kali sprung up from the ground, the top of her head hitting Jose under the chin, before she stepped on his chest and hit him with a kick, knocking him back as she did a backflip, and landed on her feet, inside the chains that held her to the wall. Back on her feet, Kali jumped up, and like a jump rope, brought her arms forward over her legs. Raising her hands, Kali drew a large circle in the air, shining an icy blue, before a pillar of ice went charging at Jose, and hit him in the groin, while pinning him to the wall.
"Hope you didn't plan on having kids in the future." Kali hissed, the cuffs around her wrists glowing with heat before they melted. "Because I'm pretty sure I just destroyed any chance of that happening."
Running through the open door, Kali took a sharp right and began making her escape, before she skid to a halt, spotting several Phantom Lord Goons, while they spotted her.
"Oh shit." She hissed.
Turning back around, Kali began making her way through the dungeons of Phantom Lord, with several members chasing after her. Making her way back to the cell, Kali spotted Jose shakily stepping out of it, and smirked as she ran passed him. The instant she zipped by, Jose fell face first to the ground, foaming at the mouth, as she'd slammed her knee into Jose's already aching crotch.
"Time to get out of…" Kali began to state she needed to get out of there, before she felt her chest tighten, and pain shot up through her entire body. "No… not now." She groaned, feeling how her body was trembling.
The sudden ache and pain caused Kali to lose focus, as she fell to the ground and began rolling forward, before hitting a wall.
"Well, well. Look at this."
Kali looked up to see Gajeel standing in front of her, a smirk on his face as she trembled.
"Seems the rumors are true, you really are cursed huh?" He asked.
Kali was about to respond, before Gajeel popped an elixir into her mouth.
"Drink up, we don't want you all beastly when your old man comes to get you." Gajeel said.
"Gajeel what are you doing?" One of his guild mates asked.
"Relax, I put a strong sedative in the elixir. She'll be knocked out, and unconscious any second now." Gajeel said tossing the empty elixir jar, as Jose staggered forward.
"You've done it now girl." Jose growled, kicking Kali in the stomach. "You've just sealed the fate, of not only yourself, but Lucy Heartfilia and the rest of those Fairy Tail bottom feeders."
"Careful Master." Gajeel said. "Remember what the client said. He wants her in as good a condition as possible, and we've already done enough damage we could afford to do to her."
"You're right." Jose sighed. "You're right."
"So what's the plan now?" Gajeel asked, as Kali began losing consciousness.
"Prepare the castle. We're taking the fight to Fairy Tail."
