Coven Fairy

~A/N~

The updated Phantom War Arc is in Chapters3&4, while the updated 18&19th Chapters are of the Sense and Insensitivity, and Adventures in the Elements, episodes of the Owl House.

("Palisman Communication")

I was either drunk, high, stoned, or all three, when rewriting chapters 18&19!

"Prepare thyself, to do battle like a human. Thumb war." Luz declared, as she and Willow held up their thumbs, with smiley faces drawn on them.

"It's fun, because it's stupid." Willow giggled.

"Stupid, equals fun. An undeniable law of the universe." Kali smirked, watching over the fight. "Willow wins."

"Aw man." Luz groaned.

"It's so weird that a couple humans go here now, too bad they've already burned their social lives at the stake." A three eyed demon girl stated.

"An' it's too bad that mouth of yours doesn't have an off button." Kali stated, getting to her locker and opening it. "It'd be a real help in getting you to shut your ego driven mouth."

"What was that new girl?"

"You heard me, Bossy Bitchy Boscha." Kali stated.

"Hey, let's all just calm down." Skara said, getting between them. "Here Kali, you're invited to my party." She smiled, holding up an invite. "My dad spared no expense on the invites."

"Why are you inviting her?" Boscha asked.

"She's my partner in the Bard Track." Skara said.

"Thanks Skara, but if neither Luz or Willow aren't invited, then I'm not gonna come either." Kali said. "Those two were the first friends I made when coming to the Isles, so they're like family. Not to mention we're part of the same guild."

"What's that, some sort of weird club for losers in Earthland?" Boscha asked.

"No Boscha, a guild is sort of like a Coven, except none of your magic gets sealed away, and you can take on awesome jobs to earn money." Kali stated. "An' believe it or not, Luz actually is capable of using magic from Earthland. She just needs a bit more help with unlocking it before she can use it practically."

"Whatever." Boscha scoffed. "I'm Captain of the Grudgby Team, I don't need to be part of any Guild, or whatever."

"Skara, revoke Boscha's invite and I'll do my best to be at the party." Kali said.

Skara didn't even hesitate to take back Boscha's invite, and gave it to Kali.

"Hey." Boscha gasped.

"Thanks Skara." Kali smiled. "Seems you got better taste in friends then I thought."

"Here, give a couple of these to Willow and Luz as well." Skara said, giving a couple more invites to Kali. "My dad's been wondering why I haven't been hanging out with her since we were little."

"How come you're listening to her and not me?" Boscha questioned.

"Probably because she knows I'll protect her from you, if you even try to do anything to her." Kali said. "In Fairy Tail, we look out for our friends, and treat each other like family."

"I'll see you at the party." Skara said, with a smile.

"See you there." Kali smiled. "Oh, and Boscha? I'd take a look at the roster for the Grudgby Team sign ups if I were you. I think you got some competition for the position of Team Captain."

Boscha gasped, when she saw the confident smirk on Kali's face, as the Earthland Mage walked off, heading for Willow and Luz's location.

"Hey girls." Kali smiled. "Sorry about that, had to get a book from my locker for my next class."

"No worries." Willow smiled.

"Oh my gosh Willow. I am so excited for photo class." Luz smiled, opening her locker. "I can't believe you can make pictures, of your actual memories."

"Wait, that class was today?" Kali asked nervously.

"I'ma see me some baby Willow and Kali." Luz said.

"I'll admit, I was adorable." Willow said.

"I'm… not all too sure about this class." Kali said.

"Oh come on, what's the worst that we could see? Your first pimple?" Luz asked.

"Not exactly." Kali said. "Oh, by the way. I got us invites to Skara's birthday party."

"How'd you manage to score those?" Willow asked. "An' even one for me?"

"Well, I just told Skara I'd be at the party, if she revoked Boscha's invite." Kali smiled. "Be sure to keep those with you. The party's invite only. So you gotta show them at the door."

"Wow, Boscha's losing her grasp on the school, and I'm loving it." Willow smiled.

~Photo Class~

"Who says brain surgery's hard?" Luz questioned, after pulling another photo from Willow and Kali' minds, and hanging them up.

"There's a reason why since brains are very sensitive." Kali stated.

"As you work, note that some prints have greater clarity then others." The teacher stated. "These are moments that invoke a strong emotional response."

"All the colors of the brainbow." Luz said, going to poke one of the hanging photos, before Kali stopped her by grabbing the human girls wrist.

"I wouldn't do that Luz." Kali said. "Memory magic is kinda tricky. If you damage the photo of the memory, you damage the memory itself. So you gotta be extremely careful."

"Precisely Ms. Clawthorne." The teacher smiled.

"Whoa, photo class is intense." Luz said, before one of the prints clarified. "Oh my gosh Willow, you had an awkward hair phase too? I knew we were meant to be friends." She said, holding up a photo of her awkward hair phase.

"Neither of those, is as bad as mine." Kali said.

"Whoa Kali." Luz gasped, when Kali's photo clarified. "You really had an awkward hair phase."

The photo memory was of Kali, sitting at the Fairy Tail bar with a shaved side, with the other side remaining long hair, and dip dyed dark green.

"I wouldn't call that awkward, I'd call that… cool." Willow said.

"No, it's embarrassing." Kali said, blushing a bit. "That was my hair style after I had lost Saphira. I sort of went through a goth phase after her death, and she would have been amused by it, so much."

"Ooh, there's more from both of you." Luz said, as most of the other images became clearer. "Wait, Kali there are only two photos of your memories."

"Well, the assignment was to take photo's of memories that made you feel happy, or stuck somewhat with you. Guess I don't really wanna show some of the horrors I went through with Ivan. Those stuck with me the most." Kali explained.

"It's okay." Willow smiled.

"Willow, look." Luz said.

Willow and Kali looked to the first photo that had been pulled from Willows mind, before looking to Luz. The photo was of her and Amity as children, at Amity's birthday party.

"Ugh." Willow scoffed.

"Hey, it's okay." Kali said. "Luz told me you and Amity have a history."

"Wouldn't you feel better talking about it?" Luz asked.

"No, I'd rather do this." Willow said, turning the photo around. "That's my motto after all. Out of sight, out of mind."

"That's not exactly healthy Willow." Kali said.

"Pot, meet kettle." Luz said.

"All I'm saying is, there are some things that need to be talked about, but there are some that don't need to see the light of day." Kali said, before the lunch bell rang.

"Come on Willow. If you don't tell me what she did, I won't be able to cook up a scheme that'll make you friends again." Luz said.

"Luz I get it, but I don't want you to do that." Willow said. "No schemes, no plots, no ruses. None. Now let's get to lunch." She stated, as she and Kali left the class room.

"She never did say anything about, shenanigans." Luz said, mischievously smiling while turning the photo back around, before she followed after Kali and Willow to the lunch room. "Wait up."

~Lunchroom~

"Now let's see, who should I interview?" Gus asked, looking at his murder board.

"Hey there detective." Luz said. "Are you solving a crime, or about to commit one?"

"Maybe Detective Gus could help me solve the mystery as to why Sapphire hasn't delivered her babies yet. She was due to give birth two days ago, but she's still pregnant." Kali stated. "It's as if her twins don't ever wanna leave her belly."

"Ew, I'm more interested to know if he's gonna commit a crime." Luz stated.

"Sadly this is one problem crime can't solve." Gus said. "My interview for journalism class is due tomorrow. I'm supposed to choose someone, interesting, accomplished, and note worthy."

"Why not Kali?" Willow asked, her skin sweating a bit. "She's all those things. The Owl Lady's granddaughter, a Dragonslayer, a published author, and the granddaughter of a Guild Master."

"The teacher won't allow me to do a report on someone from a, fictional, world of origin." Gus said. "They think Kali's just as delusional as the Owl Lady."

"Willow, are you feeling okay?" Kali asked, noticing how sweaty Willow was getting.

"When did it get so, hot?" Willow questioned, before pouring herself a glass of water.

The instant she put the cup down, steam came out of her mouth.

"Not good." Kali said, as Willow poured herself another cup, before pouring it all over herself. "Steam shouldn't be coming from her mouth after drinking some water. Or when she pours it all over her body. An' her eyes just went completely black."

"Uh hi, I'm Willow, remind me of your names?" Willow asked.

"This is bad, very, very bad." Kali said. "Something must have happened to her memories. We gotta get to photo class. It might have started with the memory photos Luz pulled from her mind."

Jumping up from the table, Kali made a mad dash out of the lunch room, before she began making her way back to the photo classroom. Barging through the door, Kali gasped, when she saw Amity trying to blow out flames that had consumed the photos of Willows memories.

"Amity?" Kali questioned, before the grabbed her photos and pocketed them. "What in Titans name are you doing in here?"

"Hexside free press." Gus said, charging in with Luz dragging in a loopy Willow. "What's going on here." Luz gasped instantly afterwards.

"Hi." Amity said, sounding nervous.

"You destroyed Willows memories?" Luz questioned.

"I saved as many as I could." Amity said holding up the ones she saved, before an ember landed on them, and the memories turned to ash. "Why would they make memories so flammable?"

"Because these are made of pure magic." Kali said. "The paper's so fragile they burn up in seconds."

"Have I always had this crazy thing?" Willow questioned, wiggling her fingers around as she raised her hand into the air. "Blap, blap." She hit herself in the face a couple times, before she came over the Luz and Amity. "I can tell we're gonna be good friends." She smirked, before falling to the ground.

"This, is very bad." Kali groaned, before putting out the rest of the fires.

~Owl House~

"So, this is the Owl House." Amity said, looking around.

"Yep." Luz said.

"An' you sleep here?" Amity asked.

"When the night critters allow me to." Luz said.

"Stop be so dramatic Luz. I cleared the house of all night critters, and put an enchantment on it so that any uninvited rodents or insects, are incinerated the moment they set foot in the house." Kali stated, putting Willow down on the couch.

"So, you set Willows memories on fire, and erased everything." Eda said, looking to Luz and Amity.

"Amity was the only one who did that." Kali said. "The rest of us, were in the lunch room when it happened."

"Doesn't matter. Even minor damage, can have huge affects." Eda stated.

"Ah, a chair for sitting." Willow said, before taking on several different poses on the couch, one of them even being a hand stand.

"Yep, her brains burned up real good." Eda said as Gus was pacing around the room. "Damage like that could change everything about a person. Willow may never be the same again."

"I got it." Willow said, finally sitting down right, before she noticed King and picked him up. "Ooh, a furry fruit. I'm gonna peel it." She stated, before she began pulling on Kings scruff.

"What?" King questioned. "What is happening?"

"Willow, no bad girl. No peeling King." Kali said, taking King away and casting a spell. "Sleep Spell!"

"Is there anything we can do?" Luz asked.

"There is one way, but it's terribly dangerous, and partially illegal." Eda said. "So you're in the right place."

"I hope this doesn't take longer then tonight." Kali said, petting King as he fell back asleep in her arms. "Willows dads are worried sick, and Skara's so looking forward to Willow coming to her party tomorrow. She's wanting to make proper amends with her."

"It shouldn't take too long. I'll send Luz into Willows mind, to fix the damage." Eda said.

"Be still my fantasy loving heart, I have always wanted to do this." Luz stated. "Thank you Boiling Isles. Kali you coming?"

"I can't." Kali said. "Sapphire's still pregnant, and overdue. There's no telling what she'll need, so I'm needed here for her. As much as I'd like to help Willow, I'm afraid of what my presence might do in there."

"Well she can't go in alone. It won't be easy. You'll have a lot to fix in there, 'cause it's a mess." Eda said. "Whoever did this to Willow showed unbelievable disregard for her safety. Down right despicable. Oh right, it was you." She stated, pointing at Amity. "So Luz, who's going inside with you?"

"Maybe I can help, I'm pretty good at getting stuck inside peoples heads." Hooty said, opening the door.

"This is someones brain, not a nightclub." Eda stated, using her magic to close the door. "Two max."

"Gus can't go, because he's already got too much to handle." Kali said. "Amity, you're the only one who can go with her."

"But, Willow might not want me in there." Amity said.

"You set every memory in Willows head, on fire." Kali stated. "You are going to take responsibility for the actions you've taken, and you will set it all right. Because that's what those of us in Fairy Tail, do. We accept responsibility for our actions."

"Okay, I'll do what I can." Amity said taking Luz's hand.

"You really put her in her place." Gus said, sounding amazed. "You almost sounded like a mother, scolding her child."

"I'm a Blue Vermilion Dragonslayer Gus." Kali said. "Blue Vermilion females, are also regarded as Mother Dragons, because of their motherly nature, whether it be scolding someone, or caring for an injured kitten, they'll do it in a motherly fashion."

"Alright, bold choice taking the girl who caused the mess." Eda said creating a bell. "When you're done, ring that and I'll cast you back. Oh and keep an eye out for her inner Willow. She's the gatekeeper of emotions and memory. She might be able to help you."

"I don't think she will." Kali said. "Willow keeps a lot of her emotions tucked away, in an unhealthy way. So there's a chance, the fire's released those emotions and turned her violent."

"Sounds like someone else we know." Eda said. "But she's right, if that's what Willow does, then there's a good chance she's a danger. So do what you can to survive, and fix the memories."

"Alright, let's get to it then." Eda said.

"I'm gonna go check up on Sapphire." Kali said, putting King down. "You have fun fixing what Amity broke."

"You're not gonna let me live this down are you?" Amity asked.

"Not for a long, long while." Kali said, disappearing down the corridor.

After making her way up the stairs, Kali entered into her room and found the nest that he'd hand carved, with Sapphire laying in it, curled around her belly as the infants within kicked and moved.

"Hey girl." Kali smiled, gently scratching the top of Sapphire's head. "You doing okay?"

("I wanna deliver my babies, and hold them close.")

"Yeah, I know you wanna deliver them." Kali chuckled. "But you're not gonna be able to for a while. I think being filled with Ethernano from Earthland is causing your pregnancy to last longer then it normally would. Which means when you do deliver, you're gonna have to use Formation Omega to deliver your babies. Because I am not cutting you open to get them out."

Sapphire just purred as she rubbed her head against Kali's palm.

("What's going on down stairs. Is everything alright?")

"There's a situation Amity caused. She tried to burn one memory of her and Willow from Willow's memories in Photo Class today, and now she's helping Luz with fixing the problem she caused." Kali explained.

("Amity's a good girl. She's just been misguided by her mothers selfish ego.") Sapphire said. ("She's got a new family, in Fairy Tail now.")

"You're right about that." Kali smiled. "So, how are you liking the nest?"

("It's comfy, but you know where I'd really like to sleep?")

"No Sapphire, I've got school, and Skara's birthday party tomorrow." Kali said. "I am not showing up to either, looking pregnant just because you wanna sleep in my storage stomach."

("Pleas? What if I promised to come out before you left for Hexside in the morning?") Sapphire asked. ("Besides, you know feeling me squirming around helps with nightmares, and we both know those nightmares from that last job you took to get over Ed haven't stopped.)

"Maybe tonight." Kali sighed. "Right now I gotta let Willows dads know the plan."

Getting ready to head out, Kali called up Willows house with her lacrima.

"Parks residence." A mans voice said.

"Mr. Park? It's Kali."

"Kali, it's so wonderful to hear from you. Is everything okay?" Mr. Park asked.

"Everything's going smoothly. Luz and Amity went into Willows mind to repair the damage done." Kali explained.

"Why would Amity go if she caused the damage?"

"Unfortunately, neither Augustus or myself could go, and that left Luz with only Amity to accompany her." Kali said, as she left the Owl House. "But I believe that Amity is wanting to repair the damage she did. I know for a fact that she feels bad about it."

"Well, we trust your judgement Kali, please be sure to keep in touch with us about it." Mr. Park said.

"I will, thank you." Kali smiled.

After hanging up her call, Kali's Lacrima began ringing again and saw it was Levy who was calling.

"Levy, what's up? You know you're not supposed to call, unless it's important." Kali said.

"There's someone here to see you." Levy said. "He says he's the Capital's Secretary of State, his name's Zash Caine."

"I'm on my way." Kali sighed. "While I'm there, would you mind getting me some things from a list I'll give you?"

"Sure thing." Levy said. "But you'd better hurry, he's kinda creeping me out with how he's looking at me."

"I'll be right over." Kali said, before ending the call.

Grabbing her portal blade, Kali sliced open a rift in the fabric of space and time. The instant she stepped through, Kali found herself in front of her shop, where there were several royal knights standing there.

"Ma'am." One of the guards greeted, spotting her.

"Keep up the good work boys." Kali smiled, heading into the building.

Once inside, Kali paused when she saw a tall, burly man with short brown hair. She noticed he was wearing a skin tight V-neck black body suit alongside black gloves, under his Secretary of State Uniform. At the moment, he was keeping Levy pinned to the wall.

"I'm telling you sir, she's on her way right now." Levy stated. "I just got off from a call with her."

"Then call her again, and tell her to hurry up and…"

"I'm right here Sir Caine." Kali said, interrupting him. "May I ask what you're doing to the manager of my shop?"

Zash turned and looked over his shoulder, before turning to face Kali completely.

"So, you're Kali Dreyar Clawthorne?" Zash questioned.

"I am."

"Word in the Capital, is you've got a powerful tool you can use, to carve into any weapon you can imagine." Zash stated.

"If you're referring to my Palistrom Wood Forest, then I'm afraid you're mistaken." Kali said. "I do not intend, on allowing any Palismen to be used as weapons for military gain. If that's all you wanted to speak about, then please leave."

"Come on, don't be like that." Zash said, as Kali moved passed him.

"Levy, I need you to head to the market and get the items on this list for me. Think you can handle that with the budget I set?" Kali asked, putting a small stack of cash, and a list in Levy's hands.

"Of course. It's already a dream come true working at such a book filled paradise. I won't let you down." Levy nodded, before heading off.

"Sir Caine, if there's nothing else you wish to discuss, I would very much like it if you left me to conduct my business in peace." Kali stated, going behind the counter. "I just got off from a long day of school, and an emergency that could leave a friend of mine, brain dead as a vegetable. So I will ask nicely, only once more. Is there something, I can help you with?"

"Sell me a log of that special wood you spoke of." Zash stated. "You sell that here, right?"

"Sorry, but Palistrom wood is not for sale, and as I said, is not for military use." Kali stated. "If you're wanting to buy one of my books, then please the actual store is just beyond those doors. Have a nice day sir."

Zash just looked at Kali, as she was not budging an inch on her decision, before he turned away to leave with a tsk.

"This Kingdom's era of Toma E. Fiore's royal bloodline, is coming to an end soon. An' you're gonna want to be on the winning side when it does." Zash stated. "If you change your mind about my proposal, you can find me in my office at the Royal Palace."

Kali just glared at Zash as he left, his back to her, while she had a very unnerving look about his visit, saying she didn't trust him from the moment she laid eyes on him, and for good reason. She only prayed, he wasn't gonna do, when she thought he was gonna do.

~Zash Caine's Office: That Night~

"Hmm, without her aid it will be a pain, but still doable." Zash stated, before there was a knock at the door. "Come in."

"Sir Zash." A mercenary in a dark uniform said, as he came into Zash's office. "Ms. Kali Dreyar Clawthorne has come to see you. She's been checked for listening devices, and isn't wearing any."

"Excellent. Send her in." Zash smiled.

A moment after the mercenary left, Kali came in through the door, with the entrance closing behind her.

"Ms. Clawthorne, what a pleasant surprise. What brings you here?"

"I gave your words some thought." Kali said, taking a seat in one of the chairs in front of the fire place. "Before I can agree to anything, I have to know what it is you intend on doing. If my Palismen are to be used, then I should know what they're getting into."

"Whatever for?" Zash asked. "They're just carvings."

"The instant a Palisman carved from Fiore Palistrom Wood, is brought to life. They are no longer just a statue capable of movement via magic. They become living creatures of flesh and blood." Kali stated. "The very act of bringing these creatures to life, is the act of a God. Or Goddess, in my case."

"I see your point." Zash said, before making sure the room was completely sound proof. "First off, I wanna commend you on showing true monarch strength, by going about protecting your people, even if they are of your own creations."

"Skip the pleasantries Zash. I'm not here for your flattery." Kali said. "What is the plan?"

"To take the throne by force, and claim myself as the new and rightful King, of this nation." Zash said.

"You're wanting to overthrow King Toma, with a coup de ta." Kali said. "An' you need my help, why?"

"Because I know of your grandmother." Zash said. "She was offered the top seat, among the Ten Wizard Saints, before returning to her home. An' you are the only one of Makarov's bloodline, who's inherited her strength. All her strength."

"You mean my curse." Kali said, looking at Zash with sharpened eyes. "Yes, I inherited the curse from her, but it's not something that can be controlled. It's a wild beast that no one is capable of taming, myself included."

"That's because, you haven't tried the right tactics." Zash stated.

Kali just looked at Zash, before she sat up in her chair.

"My own father, cut me open, and performed countless fruitless operations on me, trying to unlock the secrets of my power. So what exactly, makes you think you could do better then him, without cutting me open?"

"The Dragon Cry." Zash said. "Have you heard of it?"

"Only stories, legends of an artifact, filled with so much hatred and magical power from dragons, it could quite possibly destroy all of Fiore, and more." Kali said.

"With the power of the Dragon Cry, we could be unstoppable, and I could help you control the raging beast within." Zash said, holding his hand out to her. "All you have to do, is trust me."

"What of Princess Hisui?" Kali asked.

"Oh, don't worry about her." Zash smirked. "Once she's popped out a few of my heirs, I'll be sure she's well taken care of."

"That's all I needed to hear." Kali said, before snapping her fingers.

In puffs of blue illusionary smoke, groups of the royal guards, as well as King Toma himself, appeared out of thin air, all of them aiming their weapons at Zash.

"What is this?" Zash questioned.

"Illusion magic." Kali stated, a blue ring of light appearing, before fading from both her wrists. "Just one, of the many strengths, Eda Clawthorne left me through her bloodline."

"This was a set up?" Zash questioned.

"It was, and you fell for it. All because you failed to realize one little thing about me." Kali stated, getting to her feet. "I'd never betray my King, or Country for power, because I am a proud member of Fairy Tail."

Zash just glared at Kali, before he lunged at her. This sudden act of aggression forced Kali to step back, tripping over the edge of the chair she'd just been sitting in, before her heart rate increased, and she swung her hand out at the attacking man, resulting in blood splatter crossing the room, landing on and in the fireplace.

"Kali." Toma gasped.

Kali laid on the floor, panting in pain as she gripped her forearm, as it had transformed into a dragons claw, with blood dripping down two of the talons. Zash was on the ground in front of the fire place, gripping his face in pain as Kali had cut him deep.

"My bag." Kali gasped. "I need the elixir in my…"

"I have it right here Lady Kali." Arcadios said, bringing Kali her bag.

"Red liquid… thin vial…" Kali said as she was writhing on the ground.

"Hang on, hang on." Arcadios said, before he pulled the vial out of the bag. Popping the cork, Arcadios cradled Kali's neck in the crook of his arm, and poured the elixir through her open lips.

"Zash Caine." Toma said. "As King of Fiore, I hereby strip you of your rank, and until further notice, you will await trial in the dungeons."

"No, you cannot do this to me." Zash stated, as he was carried away.

"I can, and I have." Toma stated.

"This isn't the end, you hear me? I will have my revenge." Zash called out.

"Not this day, you won't." Toma said.

"Kali, are you okay?" Arcadios asked.

"I'll be fine, now that I've had my elixir." Kali said. "I really need to stop attracting such weirdo's to my door."

"That's the price to pay, for having a forest of material with unlimited potential." Toma said. "Kali, I am indebted to you once more, for coming to me about this. I had my suspicions, but I never though Zash would be so foolish enough to actually attempt a coup. You have my gratitude."

"What's gonna happen to him now?" Kali asked.

"He's gonna stand trial for his crimes." Arcadios said. "I suggest you return home now, I'm not sure if there's anything else needed to be done here."

"I should be going anyway." Kali said. "Luz and Amity have probably fixed the damage caused to Willows mind by now."

"Take care Kali." Toma said. "We'll be in touch."

~Owl House~

"I'm back." Kali said, entering the Owl House through a tear between realms. "What happened in here?" She asked, seeing there was a giant mess all over the floor.

"You just missed your friend Gus. He left, deciding to do his report on Hooty, and after we pulled out all the stops to try and get him to choose us." Eda said.

"Why do I hear a bell ringing?" Kali asked.

"A bell?" Eda questioned, before turning to look at Willow. "Oh right, I put people in there."

Using her magic, Eda brought Luz and Amity back from Willows mind.

"Whoa, what went down here?" Luz asked.

"Apparently they were trying to impress Gus to get him to choose one of them for his report." Kali said. "In the end, he chose Hooty."

"Where's Gus, what'd you do with Gus?" Luz asked, looking to Eda, knowing how she could get with rejection.

"The kid's fine, he's just dead to us." Eda said, as she and King walked away in a huff.

"So, how'd it go?" Kali asked.

"There's only one way to know for sure if it really worked." Amity said.

"Willow's waking up now, so we're about to find out." Luz said as Willow opened her eyes. "Willow, do you know who I am?" She asked.

Willow sat up on the couch, before looking to the three girls in front of her.

"A friendly scarecrow?" Willow asked, looking concerned before she smirked. "Nah, just messing with ya. I remember everything."

"She's back folks, my girl's back." Luz said, running to Willow and hugging her. "I'm gonna hug you so hard you never forget me again."

"Now ain't that sweet?" Kali smiled. "So, get over some fears while in there?" She asked, looking to Amity.

"Some insecurities, but yeah. I'd say Willow and I worked some stuff out." Amity said, heading for the door.

"I remember what you did too." Willow suddenly said, pulling Amity and Kali's attention to her. "What you did in there…" She said, pointing to her head. "I can't say we're friends, but it's… a start."

"Luz, I got a question for ya." Kali said. "How did Amity happen to see the photo Willow hid in class?"

"Willow said nothing about shenanigans." Luz said.

"That's your defense?" Kali questioned. "I'm off to bed. Glad you're feeling better Willow."

"Night Kali." Willow called to her.

"Don't let the night critters bite." Luz said.

Up in her room, Kali saw Sapphire fast asleep, curled around the plushy that hugged her belly, she had Levy buy in the Crocus market today. Reaching into her bag, Kali pulled out the two photos of memories Luz had yanked from her mind. One was from her goth phase, and the other she'd stuck in her bag before it could clear up. It was a photo of her with Saphira holding her in her arms. She hid it away, because she didn't wanna end up crying in the middle of class.

"I miss you, so much." Kali whispered, curling up in her nest, while holding the photo close to her chest as she cried. "I miss you mom."
