Coven Fairy
"Man, today was exhausting. You two were especially active during that whole thing with Odalia trying to ruin Grudgby practice with her Abomaton weapon prototypes." Kali groaned, marching her way back to the house, while rubbing her flat belly. "Magnolia's Harvest Festival is right around the corner. I should probably invite Luz, and Amity to go."
"Good evening Kali." Hooty said, wrapping around Kali like a snake with prey, while nuzzling her face.
"Hi Hooty. You mind opening up? I've had, quite the day." Kali sighed.
"Sure thing." Hooty smiled, before opening the door, and bringing Kali into the house.
"I'm home everyone." Kali said, as Hooty unwrapped from her.
"Welcome back Kali. Look what I can do." Eda said, holding up her left arm, showing it had turned into claws and covered in feathers.
"Whoa, what happened Grandma? Your curse try to take over again?" Kali asked.
"Oh no, I actually made peace with the beast, and I gained the ability to turn into an owl harpy." Eda said.
"I learned I have an ability that makes stuff explode if I just shout at it." King said.
'His Titan powers must be awakening.' Kali thought. 'Which reminds me, I gotta figure out a way to talk with the Titan again, and see what I can learn about helping King control his powers.'
"But that's not even the best part." Eda smiled, directing Kali's attention to Luz and the cotton candy haired Amity, sitting against the coffee table, while Luz held up the Echo Mouse as it projected images from the journal it ate.
"Oh, Luz and Amity got together, huh?" Kali asked, sounding a bit shocked.
"It's all thanks to Hooty, he helped us by doing these whacky things that nearly got the entire house destroyed." King stated. "But in the end he actually managed to help us."
"Though we made him promise not to do anything like that on his own, again." Eda added.
"That's good at least." Kali smiled.
"Hey Kali, didn't notice you came back." Luz said.
"How are you feeling?" Amity inquired.
"I'm feeling a whole lot better from then." Kali said, heading through the living room, and turning the corner to the back of the house. "I'm gonna head to my workshop. I gotta see how my projects are coming along."
"Don't stay up too late." Eda called to her.
After closing the back door behind her, Kali leaned against it, and hung her head. Tears built up in her eyes, as she slid down, and sat on the ground in front of the door.
"There goes my chance of asking if they'd like to have a relationship." Kali sighed. "I guess it was wishful thinking that both of them might consider being with me. Especially when I'm pregnant. Makes sense that they wouldn't wanna be tied down by a burden like parenthood."
Kali's attention was taken by a shining light, as it illuminated through the cracks in the doors from her workshop. Drying her eyes, Kali made her way to her workshop. Not knowing what to make of the situation, Kali cautiously opened the door. Inside, she gasped when she saw that the mold containing the experimental Portal Blade to return Luz home, was destroyed, and the blade itself, was complete, and laying on the surface of workbench, already put together, glowing three different colors of green, blue, and pink.
"What in the world?" She questioned, grabbing the blade.
The instant she held the blade in her hand, Kali's world was illuminated as she was blinded by a white light enveloping her. Opening her eyes, Kali gasped when she saw she was rapidly falling, as her vision was on the sky above her, quickly retreating further from her vision. Twisting around, Kali saw she was heading for what looked like a marshland, surrounding some sort of giant city, that was flying in the air, being propelled by some sort of power source. From where she was, she could tell there was some sort of army marching on from the land across the water.
"What the hell?" Kali cried out.
Brought back to her current predicament, Kali looked towards the fast approaching ground. Twisting through the air, and positioning herself forward in her impromptu sky dive, Kali thrust her arms forward, and stretched them out, grabbing onto what looked like a balcony on the flying castle, and went through the opening, rolling to the ground, and hitting against the wall.
"That… was close." She huffed, putting a hand to her stomach. "At least you two are okay." She smiled, feeling a kick against her hand. "Good, now let's go. Mama needs to find out where we are."
Sneaking through the halls, Kali wasn't sure about the castle she was in. It could belong to a gentle ruler being invaded by hostile enemies for all she knew. But she wasn't willing to risk the live of her babies, on a hunch. When making her way through the fortress, she heard the sound of fighting happening somewhere outside, and realized the invading forces must have begun their battle.
"Sounds like things have gotten started out there. Now to find where the hell I wound up." Kali huffed.
"Okay, let's say you're right, and we've been taking Marcy for granted." A young womans voice echoed from the area behind Kali.
The Clawthorne teen froze, before she hid in a corner, her back to the wall, as she waited for whoever was coming, to pass by. She didn't have to wait long, as the corridor she hid in, was passed over by two giant walking frogs, a polliwog with a white polka-dotted yellow bow riding a robot head on wheels, a giant toad with a missing eye, and two human girls. One of the girls was a blonde Caucasian, wearing magenta armor with a fur cape, a circlet on her head, and a scar on her cheek. The other girl was brunet with tanned skin, leaves and a stick in her hair, and wearing a blue trimmed gold breast plate, while wielding a sword.
"That doesn't change what she's done." The blonde said, showing she was the one who spooked Kali earlier.
"It's not about what she did Sash, it's about why she did it." The brunet stated.
"So, I'm just supposed to forgive her, like it's easy?" Sash asked.
"It's not easy." The brunet said, as Kali witnessed her grab the blonde's hands. "Forgiveness is hard, and it can take time. But believe me, it's worth it." She said, as she gave a look to the older looking frog. "I mean, just look at what you and I have now."
"I hate to interrupt, this little heart warming moment, but I do believe that whoever's hiding in that corridor over there, should come out now, before we make it painful." The toad wielding the hammer said, arming himself, with the others doing the same.
'Shit, they found me.' Kali thought. "Don't attack, I'm not an enemy." She said, slowly coming out of the corridor. "I'm unarmed, well mostly."
"Another human?" The toad asked.
"I don't remember her being with us, when we opened the music box the first time." Sash said, before turning to Kali. "What's your name?"
"Kali D. Clawthorne." She introduced herself. "I promise, I'm a friend."
"My name's Anne, Anne Boonchuy. This is Sasha." The brunet introduced herself. "How did you get to Amphibia?"
"Is that what this weird castle is called?" Kali asked.
"No, it's what this world is called." Sasha said. "Now answer the question."
"Well, I honestly have no clue." Kali said. "A portal blade I was working on, for a friend of mine who's trapped on the Boiling Isles, just began to glow three different colors."
"Green, blue, and pink?" Anne asked.
"Yeah, how'd you know?" Kali asked.
"Same colors as the gems on the Music Box." Sasha said, looking to Anne. "But, what's the Boiling Isles?"
"It's my home. Or one of them at least." Kali said. "It's a long story, but I technically come from two different worlds. I was born in a world called Earthland, before I moved in with my Grandmother in a world called the Demon Realm. I live on an island called, the Boiling Isles."
"Who did you say was trapped in the Boiling Isles?" Anne asked.
"She's a friend, her name's Luz Noceda." Kali said. "An' she's a human like you."
"Why is she in a place called the Demon Realm?" Sasha asked.
"Because she's always wanted to be a witch, and learning under me and my Grandmother was her chance to achieve that dream." Kali said. "But she's trapped, because she had to destroy the only portal back to the human realm, to prevent a tyrannical Emperor named Belos, from being able to go there. The portal blade, was supposed to be her way home, but something happened, and when I grabbed it, the next thing I knew, I was falling from the sky, and managed to save myself by making it in here. That was about an hour ago."
Anne and Sasha looked to one another, before they sheathed their blades, and signaled for the Toad to put his hammer away.
"It's nice to meet you Kali. This is Hop Pop, I call him HP, Sprig, and Polly Planter." Anne introduced. "The big guy who called you out, is Grime."
"It's nice to meet you Kali." HP said.
"Nice to meet you as well." Kali said. "So, I heard a battle going on outside, what's that all about?"
"It's a rebellion." Sasha said. "King Andrias is planning on using the Music Box to invade the Earth, and strip it of resources."
"The human realm." Kali gasped, instinctively putting a hand to her lower stomach, something Anne noticed right away. "That's Luz's home."
"Right now, our current objective is to rescue our friend Marcy, and once we have her back, if she's in stable enough condition to move, we're gonna take Andrias down." Anne explained.
"Stable enough condition?" Kali asked.
"Andrias pierced her through the chest, from behind." Sasha said. "I honestly believe, she's still alive."
"I'm sorry to interrupt again, but we don't exactly have time for this." Grime said. "It's nice to meet you Kali, but we're on a bit of a time crunch here."
"Right." Anne said. "Kali, find shelter, and we'll come back for you as soon as we find Sasha."
"No." Kali said. "I'm fighting. I might not look it, but I'm a strong and capable fighter."
"I don't doubt it." Anne stated. "But I wouldn't feel right, risking the life of a young mother, with child."
"What?" Sasha asked. "Hold on Anne, you can't just…"
"How'd you know?" Kali asked, causing Sasha to stop.
"When you put your hand to your stomach after we told you about Andrias's plan to invade the Human Realm." Anne said. "Normally, that's the reaction you get from a woman who's pregnant."
"Listen Anne, I understand and appreciate your concern, but my babies are fine." Kali said. "In the Demon Realm, magic is a commonly practiced thing. An' I'm currently wearing an article of clothing, I personally enchanted to be strong enough to withstand any sort of heavy impact without taking damage, and keeping my little ones safe."
"How exactly does that work?" Sasha asked.
Kali removed her jacket, and put it on the ground with her bag, before holding her arms out, while shoring the compression band, had been upgraded to a sleeveless and legless leotard, if the skin showing at her hip between the leotard and her pants were any indication.
"Grime, hit me with your hammer." Kali said. "As hard as you can."
"What? I'm not gonna…"
"Just do it."
Grime just sighed.
"Fine, but don't blame me if you lose your babies." Grime said.
"Grime, wait!" Sasha called out, but was too late as he'd already lunged at Kali.
Swinging his hammer, Grime strike Kali in the stomach. This created a powerful impact, while Kali remained standing, as Grime jumped back, and lowered his hammer with a downtrodden look.
"Grime, what did you just do?" Sasha questioned.
"What she asked." He sighed.
"You don't have to worry." Kali smiled, putting one hand on her hip, while the other hung to the side, while showing one of the pillars behind her, had been smashed. "I'm perfectly fine, and so are the babies."
"But… I…"
"The suit works like this." Kali said. "It'll take the physical kinetic energy from any strikes it takes, and redirect it to the back, so it appears as though the strike went right through me, but in actuality, the strike didn't do any damage at all."
"Incredible." HP said.
"You're amazing girl." Polly cheered, jumping happily.
"In Earthland, there's a profession for magic users. We join a Guild, take on jobs, and go on adventures." Kali said, reequipping into her combat gear, causing Sasha and Anne to look at her in awe. "An' the strongest Guild in Fiore is known as Fairy Tail, whose Guild Master just so happens to be my grandfather." She smirked.
"I've seen enough to know she's got what it takes to join us." Sasha said. "Andrias is likely keep Marcy close to him. So we'll probably find them both in the same room."
"If that's the case, you all focus on Marcy. I'll handle Andrias." Kali said. "I might have only just arrived in this world not even half a day ago, but when innocent lives are involved, you can bet, I'll always be willing to answer the call."
"C'mon, the throne room is just up ahead." Anne said, leading the way.
"We're right behind you Anne." Sprig said.
"This castle is flying right?" Kali asked, running alongside Grime.
"Well of course, didn't you see it from where you fell?" Grime asked.
"Just wanted to make sure." Kali snickered. "Man, Natsu would be totally useless on this thing. His motion sickness would be triggered so bad up here."
As they entered the throne room, the group was stopped by two Newts, one of them wearing armor, and the other wearing a ballgown.
"Going…"
"Somewhere?"
"Lady Olivia, Yunnan." Sprig gasped. "It's us."
"You're wasting your breath boy, look." HP said, pointing to the duo.
"Collars?" Kali asked.
"Filled with a mind controlling spore." Anne said, before Yunnan and Olivia attacked.
The two went and attacked HP, but the older frog was pushed out of the way by Grime, as he used his hammer to block Yunnan's blades. Olivia jumped over the Toad, before she kicked his legs out from under him, knocking the hammer wielder off his feet, and on his back. Before Olivia and Yunnan could deliver the finishing blow, Sasha came charging in, and slammed her knee into Yunnan, sending her into Olivia, and knocking them both away.
Seamlessly, Yunnan and Olivia recovered, and were back in battle stances, before they lunged forward. As they were fighting, Kali was forced back, and used her sleeve to block Yunnan's blades, as she was bending back out a window. Looking over her shoulder, her eyes widened when she saw a giant newt wearing a crown, fighting the rebellion.
"Hey, is Andrias a giant newt, with a flaming sword, and a crown?" Kali asked, hitting Yunnan with a kick to the stomach.
"Yes, why?" HP asked.
"He's down in the marsh bellow, fighting the army." Kali said, slamming her heel on Yunnan's armor, causing the shoulder pad to crack before shattering. "I'm heading down there, to cut the head off the snake."
"He's a newt." HP said.
"HP, she means she's gonna try and end the war by taking out Andrias." Anne said.
"Well why didn't you just say that?" HP asked.
With Yunnan out of her way, Kali jumped onto the ledge of the window, and dove out of it, like she was jumping off a diving board. This sudden act, caused the others to gasp, as they weren't expecting her to do that.
Outside, as Kali fell from the sky once more, she stretched her arms out, wrapping them around Andrias, while taking him by surprise, before she pulled herself forward like a slingshot, and slammed her feet into his back. The impact forced Andrias to let go of his sword, as he fell forward, face planted in the mud. Arms snapping back, Kali jumped off Andrias, and flipped through the air and landed in the marsh.
"That wasn't, very nice." Andrias said, picking himself up with a growl, wiping the mud off his face.
"Neither is invading someone else's home." Kali stated, as Andrias turned to her.
Looking over his shoulder, Andrias glared at Kali, before his eyes widened, as if recognizing her.
"It's you." Andrias said.
"What?"
"It's been four hundred years, but I'd remember your face, no matter the era." Andrias stated, turning around to fully look at her.
"This is the first time, I've ever met you, or been to this world." Kali tsked.
"Hmm… An ancestor of your then perhaps?" Andrias pondered. "It doesn't matter either way. I still remember that day, clearly. I can still remember you, or rather your ancestor, using a magnificent blade of such power, and refined skill, to slice through the hide of a dragon, and slaying it in one fluid motion, decapitating the beast as if it were nothing. I even tried to replicate that blade…" He paused, using his tail the flick his flaming sword back into his hand, as he ignited it once more. "But as you can see, it's still lacking in some areas."
"I feel like I'm missing some context here." Kali said, getting ready for a fight. "But that's not important right now. What is important, is that I take you down."
"Frogs, Toads, and Newts of the resistance." A cybernetic, mechanical voice echoed out. "Your leaders have been captured. Your rebellion, is over."
Kali looked up to the balcony leading to the throne room, and saw a girl wearing black armor, with a helmet that had multiple eyes on it, connected by a multitude of cables, as several mechanical bindings, held a tight grip on Anne, Sprig, Polly, Frobo, HP, Grime, Olivia, Yunnan, and Sasha.
"No." Kali cried out, before she was smacked away by a twist of Andrias and his tail.
Kali made impact with a large metal surface, before she was gripped in a tight hug, as it was one of Andrias's robot frogs.
"I was honestly expecting more from you." Andrias said. "It's clear you're not the same woman I saw four hundred years ago, otherwise you would have been able to stop my attack, with ease. Bring her to the balcony."
Turning back to the castle, Andrias jumped up to the balcony, with the frog robot joining him. The instant they were on the balcony, she was grabbed by several of the mechanical tentacles, and brought into the group with the others.
"Another human?" The armored girl asked as they went inside the castle.
"Not quite." Kali hissed, scales forming on her face. "I'm a Dragoness."
"That's interesting." Grime said, sounding like he didn't really know what to say when seeing her scales.
"Darcy, she bares a strikingly perfect resemblance to the woman from four hundred years ago." Andrias said.
"Though several years younger from what I'm seeing." Darcy said, moving Kali's jacket to show the Fairy Tail emblem on her chest. "A descendant would be the likeliest conclusion. Same tattoo in the same area as well."
"It's not a tattoo. It's the mark of Fairy Tail, the strongest Guild in Fiore, in all of Earthland." Kali hissed. "An' stop lying, Fairy Tail wasn't around four hundred years ago, so there's no way you'd have seen the emblem before."
"Interesting." Darcy said, moving her hands down Kali's body, and placing it over her stomach. "Ooh, I believe I felt movement. So you're with child, huh?"
"What?" Andrias questioned, his eyes widening with shock.
"Get your hands…" Kali began, before she threw her head back, her neck stretching quite a ways as her head went past the balcony. "Off my babies!" She finished, throwing her head forward, as her forehead was covered in Haki. "Gum-Gum: BELL!" She shouted, her head slamming into the shocked Darcy's face, knocking her back.
This sudden act of stretching took everyone there off guard. But no one was as surprised as Anne and Sasha. Even Andrias is shocked.
"No way, did she just say Gum-Gum?" Anne questioned.
"That power is from one of Marcy's favorite manga/anime's." Sasha stated.
"That's not possible. It's not supposed to be anything but fiction." Andrias said. "I've read, every single volume of One Piece, Marcy had on her, over and over again. It's incredible."
"While, as interesting as this is…" Darcy said, getting up as if she wasn't even phased by the sudden headbutt, while using her control to slam Kali into the ground. "We've still got work to do. An' we'll start, by doing what you could not, Andrias. Kill Anne."
"What?" Kali questioned, as they others gasped.
"It's been risky enough using the box up until now. But we don't know what will happen, so long as she remains in possession of a piece of its power." Darcy stated.
"I don't believe it." Kali heard Anne whisper. "They're as clueless about the stones as we are."
"Anne." Kali called to her, as the armored girl was thrown to the ground, before being restrained.
"Let's make this quick." Darcy said, pulling a dagger.
As Darcy pulled the dagger, Kali's eyes were locked on the scene, before she took in a deep breath, and released a rush of flames that forced Darcy away from Anne.
"Hold it there tin girl." Kali said, forcing Darcy and Andrias to look at her. "Do you honestly believe, that the magic connected to Anne's soul, will just return to the music box if you kill her?"
"What are you getting at?" Darcy asked.
"I'm saying, if Anne dies, then the power of the blue stone dies with her." Kali said. "You don't know for certain that this will work, so what would you do, if killing Anne extinguished the boxes power, entirely?"
"Don't be ridiculous." Andrias said. "You think the Core hasn't considered…"
"Shut up Andrias." Darcy said, before putting her fingers together and closing her eyes in thought. There was a moment of silence, before Darcy's eyes opened again. "Unprecedented. We cannot reach a consensus. Therefore, we must confirm that the energy must be safely extracted, before killing her."
"Wait, did Kali seriously just outsmart you?" Anne asked.
"She only bought enough time to watch your planet fall." Darcy stated. "We look forward to dissecting you, alive."
"Not good." Kali hissed.
"Guards, have the rest of them fitted for collars immediately." Darcy called to the guards. "Andrias. Portal. Now. It's time."
"NO!" Kali shouted, as Andrias turned on the music box.
The entire castle began rumbling with power, before the energy traveled from the box, to the giant cannon on the top of the castle. A beam of power shot out from the cannon, and created a giant tear in the fabric of reality, resulting in a swirling mass of pink, green, and blue energies.
~Human Realm~
Everything was calm, and peaceful within the streets of LA. The people were going about their normal business, not a care in the world, as there wasn't anything noteworthy taking place. However, that all changed in an instant, as the ground began to rumble, with the citizens immediately relating this to an earthquake.
"Duck and cover, it's the big one." One civilian called out, before thunder and lightning echoed across the sky.
Without any warning, prior to the thundering rumbles of the terra bellow their feet, the sky burst open as the portal from Amphibia tore open the air, giving Andrias's forces the opening they needed, to invade the skies of the City of Fallen Angels, before the flying castle made its way through the portal, giving the citizens bellow, a terror stricken sight, as the portal closed behind the castle.
"Hello Earth." Andrias called out, his face projected to the people on a holographic screen. "Congratulations on being Conquered. I have good news, and bad news. The good news, your planet is rich in the resources we'll need to conquer other, more impressive worlds. The bad news, we'll need to destroy your civilization to get to these resources." He said, his words causing the people bellow to gasp. "Omelet, broken eggs… you get it." The King stated, before his projection feed was cut.
~Dungeons~
Anne groaned as she struggled against the laser grid restraints, keeping them all in place. In a giant circle, everyone was being restrained by the security system, with Anne being the only one, actually, physically struggling against them.
"We've got to get out of here, before Andrias annihilates Earth." Sasha said.
"These dang restraints are too strong." Anne said.
"Perhaps we need to use a little more force." Grime said.
"Save your strength, that won't work." Kali sighed, before Grime could struggle in vein. "These restraints are based off a kinetic impact conductor. Any physical resistance, just makes them stronger. We'd have to completely shut off their power source to break free."
"How do you know that?" Polly asked.
"The Rune Knights in Fiore use a similar, magic based technology, for the prison cubes that they use for the most vile and sadistic criminals in the prisons. Basically, they're meant for Death Row inmates." Kali stated. "The power source is different, but circuitry relays are the same."
"While we have this minute, care to explain how you have, a fictional power like the Gum-Gum Fruit?" Sasha inquired.
"First a little history lesson on the Boiling Isles geography." Kali said.
"Why?" Sprig asked.
"You'll understand in a minute." Kali pointed out. "So basically, the Boiling Isles, is the carcass of a colossal creature, as big as a continent, called a Titan. Practically Deities incarnate. An' the parts of the Titan, are equally as powerful, especially its blood."
"I'm listening." Grime said.
"Many years ago, there was an item, carved from the marrow of the Titans bones. Shaped as a quill, this tool could change the very fabric of reality itself." Kali said. "Luz used the Titans Quill, to give me a power, she thought I was deserving of. An' that was the power of the Gum-Gum Fruit. Which, goes by another name entirely."
"Not gonna lie, One Piece was the only interest I shared with Marcy when it came to that sort of stuff." Anne said.
"Same." Sasha nodded. "The Gum-Gum Fruit's a paramecia type, isn't it?"
"To most yes. But it's actually known, by another name all together. But I'm still leagues away from being able to unlock that power." Kali said.
"All is lost." Yunnan cried.
"Don't panic, I'm sure we can figure this out." Sprig said.
"How? The invasion's already started." Sasha said as the castle rumbled. "We're out of time."
"Alright, I've got this." Anne said.
"Stop!" Kali said. "Anne, don't."
"Why?" Anne questioned.
"Think about it." Kali sighed. "I don't know how your power works, but any power used, has to come with a draining cost to it, right?"
"You're not wrong." Anne said.
"She's absolutely right." Sprig said. "Any time you use that power, your body becomes completely drained."
"So save your strength for when we'll need it most." Kali said.
"Why exactly are you, fighting for the Earth?" Olivia asked.
"What?" Kali inquired.
"I'm just saying, you're from a different world, called Earthland." Olivia stated. "So that begs the question, as to why you'd fight for a world, that isn't your own."
Kali just looked to Olivia, before she sighed.
"Look, I don't expect any of you to understand. But my father, would cut me open, and keep me awake for the operations, from dawn till dusk." Kali said, her head hanging low. "I was weak, I felt helpless and I was unable to stop him. But my grandfather, always taught me, that it's the responsibility of the strong, to protect the weak. So once I became strong enough, I swore I'd always answer the call to action. Because that's what my mother did for me, that's what she did against Acnologia. An' because it's just the right thing to do."
Yunnan and Olivia looked to one another, before looking back at Kali, seeing her body trembling with emotion.
"I don't care if I get anything for my efforts or not." Kali said, as the laser ropes were drawn tighter, pulling her arms back tighter, and tighter. "When someone's in trouble, it goes against my very nature, to just sit back, knowing I am capable of protecting them!"
With that last bit declared, Kali swung her arms forward, shattering the spheres that restrained her hands, shocking everyone there.
"If I can't make the world, any world, a safer place for little ones to grow up happily, and care free in, then I'd rather keep my babies inside me, where they'd be protected at all costs!" She shouted, her fist pulled back before she thrust it forward, and slammed it into the ground, causing it to rumble and shatter.
This sudden act, caused the rest of the restraints to break, before everyone began free falling through the air, towards the city bellow.
"Okay, now how do we escape, our escape?" Yunnan asked.
"Everyone get on Domino and Joe, NOW!" Sasha called out.
"Formation Omega Activated!" Kali said, her eyes glowing an etherion blue, as her voice sounded smooth and friction-less with a monotone speech.
Anne and Sasha were unable to question what Kali meant, before their eyes widened when she began growing in size. Kali stopped growing as she grew large enough for the others to fit in the palm of her hand. Clasping her other hand over them, Kali curled up into a ball, and hit against the edge of a building, before she went forward and rolled down the open streets, crushing any cars in the area. Once she'd stopped rolling, Kali got to her feet, and jumped up high into the air, before gently landing on the roof of a tall building. When she had stable footing, the Clawthorne teen lowered her hands to the ground, and opened them, allowing for the others to get down. After Polly and Frobo were the last to jump off her hand, Kali began shrinking down, back to her normal size.
"Hoopadaboopa, what the hell was that?" Anne questioned, as Kali got to her feet.
"I don't know." Kali said, looking at her hands. "It just felt like… an instinct, but not my own. But I do know, that was Titans Wrath. My grandfathers magic."
"Uh, that magic may be needed again." Grime said, drawing their attention to one side of the tower.
"Oh great, Andrias and Darcy brought some giant herons." Anne said sarcastically.
"Those aren't just any giant herons. Those are 'the' giant herons." HP said.
"You mean, those two…" Sprig began.
"Attacked our parents?" Polly finished.
"What's this now?" Kali asked, her voice filled with concern.
"I'd recognize them anywhere." HP said. "With their blood red eyes, and their razor sharp teeth, those two have been terrorizing the valley for years. I arrived too late, to save your parents, but not too late, to fight back." He stated, walking up behind Polly and Sprig, putting a hand on each of their shoulders. "Never thought I'd see them again, much less here."
Their attentions were redirected from the herons, to the sound of a young girl screaming. Looking to where the scream came from, they all saw as several robot frogs surrounded a mother and her child.
"We have to get down there and help people." Anne said.
"Right behind you." Sasha said.
"Kali's already beaten you to the punch." Sprig said, directing their attention to the scene again.
Anne and Sasha looked to the scene, and saw as Kali landed in front of the mother daughter duo, in a three point superhero landing, before pushing off with her legs towards the two robots in the front, and slammed her fists through their chests. Once they were deactivated, Kali spun around, and threw each of them, into one of the other two that had surrounded the mother and daughter.
"Get to safety." Kali said, helping the mother daughter duo back to their feet.
"Yes of course." The mother said, before they rush off.
Just as they left, nearly a dozen more robot frogs came flying in from the sky, and aimed their weapons at Kali.
"Shit." She cursed, her hands twitching with anticipation. "Should I do it now?"
Before Kali could contemplate more on her situation, the sound of screeching tires echoed through the air, as a black van came to a halt. Once the van was no longer moving, the doors opened, with two armored fighters aiming their guns at the robots. One of them jumped out of the van, with the other staying behind to provide back up, while both were firing their weapons with lethal precision. Once they took out the robots, Anne and the others came down on Domino and Joe. This gave the two armored fighters, incentive to remove their helmets, revealing an older woman who looked like Anne, and a man with brown hair, both having the same ethnicity as Anne.
"Anne!" They cheered happily.
"Mom? Dad?" Anne questioned in shock.
"Whoa! Boonchuys?" Sasha questioned.
"Hi Sasha, long time no see." Mrs. Boonchuy said, taking Sasha's hands, before hugging her, while Mr. Boonchuy hugged Anne, and spun her around, causing her to laugh a bit.
"Hiya Boonchuys." HP said. "Bet you weren't expecting to see us again so soon."
"Actually, we kind of were." Mr. Boonchuy said. "But your new friend here, we weren't expecting." He stated, looking to Kali.
"My name's Kali, it's a pleasure to meet you." She said, bowing to them a bit.
"Okay, okay. Let's take this party on the road." A bald agent dressed in purple, wearing purple lipstick said, snapping their fingers as they rolled down the window.
"Mr. X?" Anne questioned. "What are you doing here?"
"Don't worry Anne, he's with us. C'mon." Mr. Boonchuy said.
Kali, Sasha, and Anne piled into the van with the Boonchuys, and drove off, with the others following behind on Joe and Domino.
"So, what's going on here exactly?" Anne questioned. "How are you with us now, and how were you able to take down those Frobo Impostors so easily?"
"Let's just say we had a few weeks head start, thanks to these two." Mr. X said.
"Training, gearing up." Mrs. Boonchuy said, showing one of her weapons to Anne.
"We also convinced the military we're not insane." Mr. Boonchuy said.
"Speaking of, those moved you pulled were insane girly." Mr. X said, looking to Kali. "You punched through those robots bare handed, and threw them into the other two as if you were the Goddess Athena herself."
"It… wasn't all that special." Kali said.
"Just who are you exactly?"
"Kali D. Clawthorne." She said. "An' I'm from a completely different world then this one, or Amphibia."
"Any of these familiar?" Mr. X asked, handing her a tablet.
Kali scrolled through the tablet, but stopped on one blurry image that looked familiar.
"Hey, that's my house." She said.
"I see, you're from XX59Beta then." Mr. X said. "What are you doing here?"
"Honestly, I'd like to find out how I even wound up in Amphibia." Kali sighed. "I need some stomach relief."
"Yeah, with the condition you're in, you shouldn't even be fighting." Sasha said.
"No matter how sturdy your magical suit is." Anne scolded.
"What is her condition?" Mr. X asked.
"She's pregnant." Mrs. Boonchuy said. "I'd recognize that expression of discomfort anywhere. I had the same one when I was pregnant with Anne, and my stomach was upset."
"First Anne, now you? Guess I shouldn't be surprised you figured it out." Kali sighed. "Anne had to get those keen senses of observation from somewhere."
"Okay, we've got a pregnant woman on board. Which means we gotta double time it on finding someplace safe and secure." Mr. X said. "We need a base of operations, so we can plan a counter attack. Something close by, but inconspicuous. Anybody know anywhere close by with a heavily fortified prison like structure?"
The four of them thought for a moment, before Anne and Sasha looked to one another with a smile, knowing exactly where to go.
~A/N~
Surprise! I added Amphibia to the story.
The Amphibia arc will only last a couple more chapters, 3 at most, but it will be fun.
Quick note: As far as I can remember, there actually isn't any magic in One Piece Canon.
What I said about magic and Haki, was my own theory and interpretation about the two energies that derive from the soul.
