That is when we heard that there was someone looking for chocobos on the Mi'ihen Highroad. I bet Yuna that it was Calli, the little girl we met two years ago. She bet me and told Brother to drop us off in Luca. When we got to Luca, we looked around and we checked on the sphere break game. Nothing much happening we thought. Yea right. We got to the business part of town, and Shelinda saw us. And I knew she was a reporter now, so Yuna got sucked into an interview. Yuna did her best while I stayed to the side. Zaon and Sora stayed close to her as if to protect her. Brother, Buddy, and Shinra all jumped in at the end. Much to my chagrin. But Shelinda was happy at the end, and even gave us a stone she found two years ago. It was a garment grid, which surprised all of us.

We climbed up all the stairs, and soon we were on the Highroad again. The only difference was that we were looking for someone this time. And I was correct in saying that it was Calli at the travel agency. Calli was excited that we remembered her and told us she was looking for a Chocobo to ride. But, of course, there were no chocobos in sight. Or so Calli thought. Just as she was about to give up, a Chocobo walked up right in front of her. Her excitement was catching, and soon we were on the highroad to catch the bird. With all of us, we were able to corner it.

We had just nabbed the bird when Clasko came running to us, yelling that our friend was in trouble. We rushed and found her unconscious in the hands of a Chocobo Eater. Yuna was about to jump to save her, but Paine stopped her with the boys right beside her. Clasko told us he would buy us some time to get to her safely. So we ran as fast as we could. Clasko called a bunch of Chocobos and they kept the fiend busy, I picked Sora up while Auron grabbed Zaon, mostly because we needed to move fast. And they were falling behind due to trying to keep up with us adults. Yuna ran faster than all of us. I guess she still felt some responsibility towards the future that she fought so hard for two years ago. And that future included Calli.

We got there faster than we thought and saw that the Chocobo Eater had dropped Calli and was being kicked by Chocobos. Sora still in my arms, cast a powerful fire spell at the fiend to get its attention. And it did. The Chocobo Eater jumped down from where it was to right in front of us. Sora and Zaon were put down and while Sora stepped back a few steps to give everyone else room, Zaon stepped up next to Yuna. He was showing his support to his sister. And looking back, I would have thought Braska would have loved to see that. But we were swept right up into battle. Sora was casting spells left and right, both healing to us and fire to the Eater. Zaon, of course, was fighting in the front right next to Yuna with Auron on the other side of him. Rikku and Paine were on the other side of Yuna, and I helped with the healing mostly. The battle lasted twenty minutes and ended with the fiend bursting into Pyreflies.

Clasko then got a chocobo to get Calli back on the beaten path. That made her want to ride a chocobo more, and she was so excited to find out that we caught the chocobo for her. We made our exit as she was riding happily, but something made me turn to Clasko. I asked him if he wanted to join us on the airship. Yuna agreed with me that he should join us until he found a place for his dream Chocobo Ranch, and soon we all boarded the airship. We stopped at the Youth League for just long enough to apologize for rushing away before. Of course, they forgave us. After leaving, it was time to visit the temple at Djose again.

This time I took the boys inside with me. Gippal was more than happy to let the boys in with me to see Braska's statue. As I led the boys to the statue, Gippal watched on. Auron looked around and pointed to the left.

"Zaon, that room is the room where you were born. Your dad was a nervous wreck." I laughed at the thought. Zaon just had to see that room, and Gippal agreed to let us inside. We entered the room and even though it had machina in it, the bed was still there. I remembered that day so well. Braska nervously waiting outside the room while the midwife was helping me deliver Zaon. Braska's face when Zaon cried for the first time, and how Braska cried when I said his name was Zaon. So I told Zaon about that day and by the time I was done, Zaon was in tears.

"I wish we could have met our father. From the way you talk about him, he must have been a great man. So great that I hope I can grow up to be like him." Zaon finally said after I had finished. Auron looked at him and Sora, and told them that they were already boys that Braska could be proud of. That got Sora crying. After both boys had stopped crying, we made our way out. After one last look at Braska's statue, I turned and walked away lost in thought.

Of course, Auron had said the obvious. Both boys were making their father proud without even trying. Sora was more like me, but I knew he got his magical talent from Braska. And Zaon got his strength and stubbornness. Both of them, without even doing a thing, was the best of Braska. And I loved each one. For their strengths and weaknesses. And as much as I wished that Braska could see them, I knew that it would take a miracle for that to happen. I wouldn't hold my breath for a miracle, but who knows what the future truly held.
