Coven Fairy
"Oh boy." Luz huffed, looking herself in the full length mirror, admiring her full term sized belly, filled with one of Kali's twins, while currently dressed in her pajamas. "When Lumity made this deal with Kali, we didn't think it all the way through. I'm so glad Mama can't see me like this right now. Imagine what she'd say."
Luz looked her body up and down, before raising her hands to her chest as she cupped them, noticing they'd gained some considerable size, heft, and sensitivity to them. Thankfully, Araña was kind enough to make her some sports braziers that could adjust to her size with magic.
"Luz, everyone else is ready to head out. You ready to get going?" Eda asked, knocking on her door.
"Just give me a minute." Luz said, quickly throwing on one of the belly compressor unitards Kali lent her, hiding her belly's curve from Eda, before she got dressed, grabbed her bag, and went for the door. "Okay, I'm ready to get going."
Heading down stairs, Luz smiled when she saw Amity, Kali, Emira, Skara, Viney, Gus, and Willow all standing in the living room of the Owl House, with King.
"There she is." Viney smiled. "Ready to get going to Magnolia?"
"You bet I am." Luz smiled.
"Oh, this is so exciting. We get to see Earthland culture at its finest during a festival." Willow smiled.
"I know, I can hardly believe it." Gus said, sounding just as excited as Willow.
"Hey, where's the Edric?" Skara asked.
"He's not coming." Emira said.
"I did not invite him to join us." Kali stated. "An' if he shows up, I'll burn him to ashes."
"Things are still pretty tense between the both of them." Amity said.
"Alright, everything's all set. I've got snacks, drinks, my change of clothes, snacks, and that should be everything I need." Kali said, going through her checklist.
"You said snacks twice Kali." Amity giggled.
"No duh Amity, you know why I'm bringing so many snacks." Kali smiled, winking at her.
"No need to remind me." Amity said with a gentle sigh and a light blush.
"You ready to go Luz?" Kali inquired.
"Ready, can't wait to join in the Earthland Harvest Festival." Luz smiled. "You sure you don't wanna come with us Eda?"
"I'm sure." Eda said. "I don't really know how my curse will affect me without my magic, while I'm there for too long. But you kids have fun."
~Earthland~
"The whole town's getting into the Harvest Festival Spirit." Makarov said happily as he carried supplies next to Mirajane.
"An' everyone at the guild's getting ready for the Fantasia Parade." Mira smiled.
"Of course, people come from all over the country to see our parade. We can't let our fans down, now can we? I wonder if Kali will stop by."
"After what had happened with Belos and Sapphire, I'm not so sure. The Harvest Festival was Sapphires favorite event." Mira said. "Though it'd probably be a good thing that she doesn't come this year, since Laxus tends to abuse her."
"The less said about that bum, the better." Makarov huffed.
"I actually heard from Levy that he's back in town. Which is why I said it would be better if Kali didn't come this year." Mirajane said.
"He came back?" Makarov asked, pausing in the street.
"Something wrong?" Mira asked.
"Of all times, why'd he have to show up now?"
"Who you talking about Gramps?"
Makarov jumped with a yelp, turning around before letting out a sigh of relief as Kali just laughed at his reaction.
"Don't scare me like that child, you'll give me a heart attack." Makarov said before spotting her company. "Ah, welcome back to Earthland and Magnolia everyone. Let me guess, you all came by for the Festival?"
"Yep." Kali smiled. "Also, there's something important I have to tell you."
"I'm sure what you have to tell us is important, but it's gonna have to wait, as you've chosen quite the time to return." Mira added.
"What do you mean?" Kali asked.
"Laxus is in town, and so are the Thunder Legion." Mira said.
"Great, just what I needed to hear." Kali sighed. "Avoiding him is like avoiding the sting of a paper cut. An' I really don't wanna interact with the Thunder Legion after the stunt they pulled trying to get rid of the Grudgby Court."
"Oh Kali, that reminds me. The King was wishing to discuss with you, making Grudgby an official sporting event in the Kingdom."
"That's gonna be a tall order." Kali smiled. "I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to do it on my own."
"You won't have to." Amity smiled.
"Because Amity and I will be with you, every step of the way." Luz smiled.
"An' you can quote us on that." Amity stated.
"Count on it."
"Oh, you guys are the best." Kali smiled, hugging them.
~Kali's Apartment~
"Well, here it is everyone. Welcome to my home in Earthland." Kali said, leading her friends into the apartment. "Gus you'll be sleeping on the couch in the living room, while us girls, share my bedroom."
"Wouldn't the living room be more spacious?" Em asked.
"Not if you've seen her room." Luz said.
"Yeah, it's huge." King added. "About as big as the living room at the Owl House."
"How do you two already know this?" Em asked.
"During the Battle of Phantom Lord, Luz and King stayed over in my apartment during the night, and again when I was stuck here after the Tower of Heaven incident put me on immovable bed rest for a while." Kali explained. "Amity stayed there as well."
"Though I think calling it an apartment is a bit too generous." Amity said. "It's as if you live in the entire building."
"Well… after I started doing S-Class jobs with Mira, I did buy the building. Though with me as the landlord, the other tenants weren't too happy, and moved out to find places to live that didn't involve, risk to their safety from the landlords curse." Kali explained. "The reward I got from the Bat Queen when I babysat for her, helps with keeping this place afloat while I'm on the Boiling Isles, and ensures the bills to the government are paid, without any delays."
"That's pretty cool." Luz smiled.
"Though thanks to a little book mender's magic when he healed me during the night of the Wailing Star, I keep catching people putting graffiti on the walls, saying a slut lives here." Kali sighed.
"I remember that night, all too clearly." Amity said with a blush.
"Don't the local authorities do anything about it?" Em asked.
"They can't, since the offenders seem to have some sort of connection with them. So I just set up a security system that'll stop them from doing anything if anyone caught with malicious intentions comes within a certain perimeter of this building." Kali explained.
"So what do you use all the extra rooms for if you have the whole building to yourself?" Em asked.
"Well we're on the top floor, so let me explain it from the ground floor up. I renovated all the ground floor rooms into a spacious gym where I practice my magic and martial arts, recently I had to renovate it to handle my Etherion element, after I became an Etherion Dragonslayer, while there's also a kitchen and protein bar there as well. The floor above that I renovated into a workspace area, where I work on my carvings and other projects. An' the floor bellow us is where I work out my plans for jobs I take from the Guild. The attic, which is right above us, is where I store everything I don't really need at the moment, and the basement is off limits, so there's no point in telling you what's down there."
"What about this floor?" Ed asked.
"Oh, I never really thought about it. I've considered using the extra apartments on this floor as living spaces for when I have guests over, but I don't get that many guests, so the rooms aren't really furnished. I mean I did expand my apartment by one on each side, but the others, I just haven't figured out what to do with." Kali explained.
"Could I use one of the rooms on this floor to sleep in then?" Gus asked. "I brought a sleeping bag so I should be fine."
"Sure, if you don't mind sleeping on the ground, since as I said, none of the other apartments on this floor are furnished. Nothing was left behind by the previous tenants, not even a mess." Kali stated.
"Guess they didn't wanna risk getting on your bad side, considering you're a member of Fairy Tail." Amity said.
"Something like that." Kali chuckled. "Alright, I'll make us some dinner, and then we have to get some sleep, the Harvest Festival starts bright and early in the morning."
~Harvest Festival~
"Food… must eat everything in sight." Natsu said, stumbling through the Festival with Happy cheering him on.
Meanwhile in the back, Grey, Lucy, Juvia, Gus, Willow, and Kali were looking at him, Lucy most of all with concern. King was standing next to Kali, enjoying a candied apple, while Araña was sitting on her shoulder.
"Natsu still hasn't fully recovered has he?" Lucy asked.
"He is looking rather ill." Juvia said.
"Is he gonna be okay?" Gus asked.
"He'll be fine. Once he gets some food in his system, he'll be back to his old self." Kali stated.
"Kali, is that you?"
Kali looked to her side to see Katya, Amber, and Derwin, before Amber just glomped her in a hug.
"Hey, it's so good to see you guys again." Kali smiled. "I was wondering how you were doing here in Earthland."
"We're doing great." Katya smiled. "We actually just got back from a job this morning."
"You three joined Fairy Tail? That's awesome." Kali smiled.
"After they'd explained things to Gramps about why they were there, and how they'd gotten there, he offered them a place in Fairy Tail." Grey explained.
"We were more then happy to accept." Katya smiled, as they showed Kali their Guild Emblems. "Also, I'd like to apologize."
"About what?" Kali asked.
"Gramps set us up in some of the extra apartments in your complex." Amber said.
"It's fine. Though since you are living there, we will have to set up a monthly rent fee and contract." Kali smiled.
"No problem." Derwin stated. "We've saved up more then enough to pay the back rent we owe."
"Mom, can I have another candied apple? Or a cone of cotton candy?" King asked, pulling on Kali's arm.
"No, you've had enough sugar for now. You can have more after lunch." Kali said.
"But Luz would let me have another." King huffed.
"Luz!" Kali called out in a scolding tone.
"What are you, his mother?" Grey chuckled.
"Yes actually." Kali said, stopping Grey's chuckle in shock. "I signed the adoption paperwork and everything."
"As reckless as Natsu, but in a completely different way." Grey groaned.
"You haven't changed a bit Grey."
The group turned around to see a tan skinned man with black hair, carrying a bag over his shoulder, as if just returning from a long journey.
"Hey Warren, it's been a while." Grey said, smiling at his friend.
"Kali, I see you've changed. You're not as quick to anger as you used to be. An' you changed your hair color, nice." Warren said, before spotting Araña. "Whoa, is that a new Palisman, what happened to Sapphire?"
"It's… a long story." Kali said, saddened a bit. "Glad you're back. Just in time for the Festival."
"Didn't think I'd make it back in time for the Festival, but here I am."
"Guys this is Warren Rocko, he's a total workaholic." Kali jabbed.
"This guy takes on so many jobs it's as if he's a ghost around the Guildhall." Grey added.
"Come on now, I'm not that bad am I?" Warren asked.
"Warren here specializes in telepathy magic, so he's perfectly suited for the espionage type jobs that the Guild gets requests for, and we get a lot of them." Kali explained. "Warren, these are some of Fairy Tails newest recruits."
"Nice to meet you, I'm Willow Park."
"Augustus Porter, call me Gus."
"I'm Juvia Lockser."
"I'm Lucy Heartfilia."
"Nice to meet you." Warren said. "Gus, Willow, you two wouldn't happen to be from the Boiling Isles, would you?"
"We are. Is it that obvious?"
"Well I've only ever seen Kali with ears like yours, and your magic sorta feels similar to hers, so I figured you were from there based off personal experience." Warren said, before looking to Kali as she was scratching the back of Araña's thorax. "So you finally finished your portal, Kali?"
"I did, and I've been living on the isles for a while now." Kali stated. "Even met my grandmother."
"That's great, you finally got to meet the illusive Eda Clawthorne." Warren smiled. "Is she here?"
"No, she couldn't make it due to health reasons, but I did bring…"
"OH YEAH? SAY THAT AGAIN TO MY FACE YOU LIMP DICK COWARD!" Amity's voice echoed in the air from one of the stalls.
"GLADLY YOU PINK HAIRED HALF PINT! ANY FRIEND OF KALI THE BEAST, IS A PERSONAL ENEMY OF MINE AND WILL ALWAYS BE REFUSED SERVICE AT MY STAND!" The voice of a stand owner called out.
"Why you…" Amity growled, as Luz and Emira pulled her away.
"Let it go Mittens." Em stated. "He's not worth our time or money if he's gonna be a dick to our friend."
"Who are they?" Warren asked.
"I was just talking about them. Those are three more recent recruits to Fairy Tail." Kali said. "Meet Emira and Amity Blight, and Luz Noceda from the human realm, that Eda's portal was designed to lead to. Luz and Amity are actually dating."
"Can Luz do magic?" Warren asked.
"Oh yeah, but the trouble is how to willfully use it." Kali said. "So far, she's only done magic through stressful situations, and a shroud I made her, with the elemental glyphs sewn into the Palistrom wood fabric Araña helped make."
"Out of the way freak." A man carrying a crate said, knocking Kali over with the wooden box, causing something to role out of her bag.
"Hey, watch it pal." Grey tsked, kneeling next to Kali. "You okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm used to this."
"What's that guys problem?" Em asked, returning to their group with Luz and Amity.
"What's this whole towns problem?" Amity asked, still obviously temperamental.
"It's me." Kali sighed, getting to her feet.
"Why would you be the problem?" Willow asked.
"Well, I used to be cursed remember?" Kali asked, dusting herself off. "I'd been cursed since before I was born, and it's something the town's always discriminated me for, despite being Makarov's granddaughter. They don't do it when he's around, but when I'm in town alone, they like to make their moves and show their disdain for me. I caused a lot of damage to the town before I got my curse under control after all, so I can't really blame them. Even now, after I've managed to get rid of my curse, the towns people don't care. They just see me as the monster who'll destroy the town on a whim."
"Was your curse your flareup condition where those scales would appear on various areas of your body?" Amity asked.
"That would be it, yes. Or it was, before Sapphire and I used Formation Xero." Kali stated. "Before that, the elixirs I took would help to keep the curse at bay, and they did a pretty good job of it too. But I'm still despised in town because of what my curse did in the past."
"What happened to your curse after Formation Xero, I don't really understand why you're talking as if it were past tense." Emira said.
"Well, because of the healing ritual, most of my curse had been killed off. The only part that remained, was small enough for Sapphire to destroy when I let it take control in order for Formation Xero to work. Thus my curse is gone, and I no longer need my elixirs since I'm not cursed anymore."
"Problem is, the towns folk don't really trust her, even after she started taking the elixirs." Grey said. "They believe she's had complete control over it all along, and that she ransacked the town on purpose, all thanks to Ivan and Laxus spreading that rumor. But the mayor was smarter then to believe a word of Ivans lies, and knew it was an accident, however there's not much he can do to change the people's minds. But this is the first I'm hearing about the curse being completely gone within you Kali."
"It's possibly the only good side effect that came about using Formation Xero." Kali said.
"Bunch of jerks." Luz hissed.
"Enough doom and gloom. Let's get to the Miss Fairy Tail Contest." Kali smiled.
"Oh crap, I completely forgot I was supposed to be in that." Lucy cried out, running off towards the Guildhall.
"She does know there's still like, twenty minutes before it even starts, right?" Grey asked.
"A Contest?" Juvia asked. "I refuse to be out-shined by that Bimbo."
"So I guess you'll be entering then?" Grey inquired.
"Calling Lucy a Bimbo is a little harsh, don't you think?" Kali asked. "What'd she do to deserve it?"
"What is the Miss Fairy Tail Contest anyway?" Amity inquired.
"It's sort of like a talent show and beauty pageant mixed together, but it leans more towards the talent show style." Kali explained.
"Sounds like fun." Luz said.
"What's this?" King asked, holding up the jar that fell from Kali's bag.
"Oh, that's just a jar of Palistrom silk, woven from the thread Araña made, soaking in squid ink." Kali explained taking the jar back.
"Palistrom Silk?" Amity asked. "Is it made from Palistrom Wood?"
"Yep. Similarly to how I can eat all the elements now, Araña turns Palistrom Wood into pure magic energy, and converts it into silk threads through her thorax, which I turn into silk fabric with the hands free weaving machine I got from the human realm." Kali explained, putting the jar in her bag. "It's the same stuff Luz's Glyph shroud is made from."
"How'd you manage to purchase one of those?" Luz asked.
"What do you mean Luz?" Kali asked.
"Those things are loco expensive. My Mama has wanted one to make her own ponchos and coats with to sell at the farmers market, but she could never afford it." Luz said.
"Let's just say, the perv who's credit card I stole for trying to grope and have his way with me a while ago during my first trip to the human realm, wasn't smart enough to cancel it before I made the purchase that maxed it out." Kali said.
"You know you shouldn't steal right?" Grey said.
"Hey, the guy had it coming." Kali said. "Now off to the pageant."
~Kali's Prep Time~
"Alright, with the babies being carried by Luz and Amity, there's nothing to stop me from putting on this performance." Kali smiled, adjusting the sports brazier and mini shorts she wore with stockings, and forearm gloves, while looking herself over in the mirror. "But did Araña have to make this outfit so scanty?"
As Kali tied her hair back into a spiked ponytail, she was unaware of someone else coming into her dressing room, until she felt the sharpness of a blade against her throat.
"Make a sound, and your little furry pet is next."
"Freed." Kali growled. "Safe to assume the rest of the Thunder Legion is here as well?"
"Just me for now." Freed said. "But you'll be in Bickslow's care soon enough."
"What are you doing here?" Kali questioned.
"The Thunder Legion, is going to take the chance to make Fairy Tail strong again, and avenge the murder of Laxus's mother while we're at it." Freed stated. "I hope you said your final goodbyes to your friends, because they're gonna be in for a battle they'll never forget."
~Pageants End~
"Oh man, there've been so many great performances so far. But, where's Kali?" Luz asked, as she looked around, Araña on her shoulder and King in Amity's lap.
"Didn't you know?" Grey inquired. "Kali participates in these pageants every year during the Harvest Festival since becoming old enough to sign up. She hasn't missed out yet, and is amazing during her performances."
"Sounds like she'll be amazing then." Amity said. "What does she usually do?"
"Well she first started out doing childish dances, since she was still a child, technically. But now that she's a bit older, she's taken it up a notch and does full blown exotic dances. Nothing that would require the adults to put a stop to the show mind you, it's mainly more like a dance involving her magic." Grey explained. "She's always last to perform, so we won't see her until after Lucy performs."
"Entry number seven. She's a newcomer to the Guild, but she's got the fiery passion to be here, Lucy Heartfilia." Max introduced, as he was the announcer.
"Hi everyone." Lucy said, coming out in a cheerleader's outfit. "For my performance, I'm gonna be doing a little cheer for you with some of my spirits." She said taking a pose.
"Entry number eight."
"Hey hold on, I haven't even started to do my cheer yet." Lucy said, before she curtains behind her opened up, and out came Evergreen.
"I am the very definition of Fairy, not to mention the very definition of beauty." She said, stepping forward. "I'm the only woman here, who embodies everything men desire, therefore the winner is, me the lovely Evergreen. Now, this idiotic contest can end."
"Not good." Grey said. "If she's here, and Kali's gone, then we've got a problem."
"What's Evergreen doing here? If they're around, then it means Laxus can't be too far behind." Luz said.
"Can't you go mess up a different contest huh?" Lucy questioned. "Give me a break here, I really need this prize money."
"LUCY DON'T LOOK INTO HER EYES." Grey called out.
Lucy just got confused and looked back at Grey, to which Evergreen smirked as she began to remove her glasses, but was stopped, when Kali came out of nowhere and kicked Evergreen in the face with a spinning flying kick, knocking her down to the surface of the stage, before she landed in front of Lucy, breathing heavily and clutching her side, while dressed in the remnants of the performance outfit Araña made her.
"Kali." Lucy gasped, as she saw the state she was in.
Kali was barely standing, clutching her side in pain, as her clothes looked torn, and she had bruises and cuts all over her body.
"Sorry I'm late, I heard my entry number was called." Kali quipped, before groaning in pain as she fell over.
"I got you Kali." Lucy said, catching the girl. "What did they do to you?"
"You little pest. I see you managed to get away from Bickslow, before he could finish you off." Evergreen said, removing her glasses. "Then I'll just turn you to stone and make rubble out of you."
"I don't think so." Amity said, using Abomination goo to blindfold Evergreen's eyes. "Thanks for the little tidbit about her eyes Luz."
"No problem, someone just get Kali down from the stage!"
"What is this stuff?" Evergreen questioned trying to pull the goop off in vein, as Grey got up on the stage.
"I've got her Lucy." Grey said, pulling Kali into his arms, and taking her off the stage with Lucy following.
"Everyone, get out of here." Max called out. "NOW!"
With his warning, the crowd of attendants turned and ran for the exit, leaving only the Fairy Tail members, plus Kali and her companions in the main hall.
"This is really bad." Elfman said.
"What do you think you're doing Evergreen?" Makarov questioned, as said woman managed to remove the abomination goo from her eyes. "You'll ruin the festival for everyone."
"Quite the contrary. I think things have just started to get interesting." Evergreen smirked as the curtains behind her lifted, and revealed the other six contestants having been turned to stone.
"No Mira." Elfman cried.
"She got Erza too?" Happy asked.
"Don't be a fool, return them to normal this instant." Makarov said, before noticing as the ceiling began to light up, and sparks with electricity.
In an instant as a thunderbolt struck the stage, Laxus made his presence known to them, and was smirking in pride.
"Well, looks like all your fans decided to head home." Laxus said. "Pity, because the party's about to start."
"I should have known." Makarov said. "Is Kali's current state your doing as well?"
"That's odd." Laxus said spotting Kali now being tended to by Emira and Luz. "Kali's not supposed to be injured like that, she's supposed to be dead."
"Freed and Bickslow are here as well." Grey said, spotting the other two members of the Thunder Legion.
"What the hell do you all think you're doing?" Amity questioned, Ghost hissing on her shoulder. "She's your own sister for crying out loud!"
"Come on, let's have some fun." Laxus said.
"I've had about enough of your nonsense. Don't go joking around, saying your own sister is supposed to be dead!" Makarov stated.
"Oh it's no joke, and that parasite isn't my sister!" Laxus stated. "She's supposed to be missing a head right about now, but it looks like she slipped out of Bickslow's grasp."
"Sorry boss, she's trickier then she looks." Bickslow said.
"That's enough. Turn all those girls back at once, or else." Makarov stated.
"You'd better play nice if you want these ladies to join the parade." Laxus stated, as a thunderbolt began to form over Erza.
"No stop." Makarov called out, as the thunderbolt struck the stage in front of the petrified redhead.
"Erza." Luz gasped.
"In other words, I'm taking all of them hostage." Laxus said. "Break the rules, and I'll shatter these chicks one by one. Or I could just smash them all right now."
"I'm not amused Laxus, stop fooling around." Makarov said.
"I'm serious old man." Laxus said as Freed came to his side.
"I've always wondered who was the strongest in the guild. Now it's time to find out." Freed said.
"Yeah, let's have some fun." Bickslow stated.
"There's only one rule." Laxus stated. "Whoever's left standing in the end, is the winner. It's a Fairy Tail Battle Royale."
"Shut your damn mouth." Natsu stated, slamming his fist in the table he was at, destroying it to countless splinters. "You actually tried to murder your own sister this time. I'm not gonna play by your rules Laxus."
"Are you sure? Either way, I'm glad to see you're all fired up." Laxus said.
"Natsu, don't…" Kali groaned.
"Take it easy Kali." Emira said, as she used healing magic on the girl.
"Naturally, if you want me to turn the girls back to normal, you're gonna have to defeat us first." Evergreen stated.
"But those odds aren't bad. There's four of us, and like a hundred of you guys." Bickslow stated as he laughed.
"You have three hours, and not a second more." Evergreen added. "After that, these pretty statues of yours will be reduced to dust."
"All of Magnolia will serve as the battle field, the fight will begin when and if you can find us." Laxus said.
"Laxus how could you?" Makarov asked as he began to grow in size. "I won't stand for this treachery."
"That's Titan Magic?" Amity gasped.
"Oh wow." Willow said.
"Our reaction when we first saw it as well." Katya said.
"Kali can do stuff like that too." Luz stated. "I've yet to see it, but she's capable."
"Now, now. Simmer down old man. You don't wanna have a heart attack, before you name me the Guild Master, do you?" Laxus asked as his body began to glow with electricity. "It's all part of the festival right? It'll be fun. Let the battle of Fairy Tail, begin!"
Blinded by Laxus's magic, Makarov and the others were momentarily left without their sight as he and the Thunder Legion vanished. When the light died down, the four were nowhere to be seen.
"He disappeared." Grey said.
"So it's high stakes hide and seek huh?" Macao asked, not sounding amused at all.
"Let's go!" Elfman said.
As Elfman said that, the entire guild ran out the door, leaving only Natsu, Luz, Willow, Gus, Em, Amity, Kali, Derwin, Amber, Katya, and Makarov with the statues.
"We should get going to." Makarov said, returning to his normal size.
"We might not have been here long, but this is our home too." Katya said.
"Right." Derwin and Amber nodded in agreement.
"Hold on." Luz said, stopping Makarov from leaving. "I might have a solution to this problem, and I should be able to fix the girls without us having to play Laxus's game."
"What do you have in mind child?" Makarov asked.
"Just trust me and watch."
Stepping up to the stage, Kali's bag in hand, Luz pulled the Titans Quill from the bag, and held it like she was about to draw.
"This quill allowed me to erase all of Kali's scars after the whole trial fiasco with Org. It also allowed me to give her, the Gum-Gum powers she has it can rewrite reality on something like that, then it can also do this." Luz said, drawing a circle in the air, and writing something in Spanish in the center. "Romper Hechizo!" She called out, sending the orb of magic at the six statues, enveloping them in the magic.
There was a bright flash of light as the magic made contact with the statues. Blinded once again, the mages of Fairy Tail, didn't understand what was going on. But once the light died down, they all gasped, when they saw that Evergreen's petrification spell had been undone, and the girls were back to normal.
"What happened?" Mira asked.
"Weren't we… just in a contest?" Juvia asked.
"Who won though?" Levy inquired.
"Incredible." Makarov gasped. "Can you use it to heal Kali?"
"I can't." Luz said, returning to Kali's side. "All the magic that remained, was used up to undo the petrification."
"It's fine." Kali groaned, sitting back up. "I can still fight."
"Kali don't." Luz said, gripping Kali's hand. "You're too hurt to be fighting."
"It'll be fine." Kali smiled, Araña crawling onto her shoulder. "Besides, better me then you and Amity right?"
"Kali, we just got one another into our lives the way we've been wanting for so long." Amity said. "You can't do this to us after we just got together."
"I feel the same way. But I have to do this." Kali said, getting to her feet. "I need to end this feud between me and Laxus, once and for all."
"He's probably pissed that Evergreens petrification spell was nullified." Katya said.
"We're going to." Gus said, as he, Willow, and Emira stepped up. "We might not have been members for that long, but we can still fight."
"That's right." Willow stated.
"An' I can provide medical support for anyone needing it." Emira smiled.
"If that's the case, turn around for me Emira." Kali said.
The elder Blight Sibling did as told, before Kali took the Titans Quill, and charged it with her magic, before she opened Emira's body stats, and changed a few things around.
"There, your reserves of healing magic have been increased, with the potency having been amplified to Coven Head levels." Kali stated. "Now you're officially the Guild Medic."
"Kali, at least let me use the Quill to heal your injuries now that it's charged up." Luz said.
"Sorry Luz, I only charged it enough to changed some of Emira's body stats." Kali said, putting the Quill back in Luz's hand, as she made her way to the doors. "It's all out of juice now."
"Kali wait." Makarov said, getting in her way. "I want you to have this."
Reaching into his cloak, Makarov pulled out a pendant in the shape of the Fairy Tail Guild Emblem.
"What is this?" Kali asked.
"It was given to me by Master Precht, the Guild Master before me." Makarov said. "I intended on making it a right of passage, that the current Guild Master, will give this pendant to their chosen successor."
"W-wait hold up. You're not serious, are you?" Kali asked, sounding taken aback and flustered at what he was saying.
"I am." Makarov said. "Kali, my beautiful Granddaughter, you look so much like your grandmother when she was younger. It would do this old man proud, if you accepted the role of my successor, and took up the mantle, when I finally decide to settle down."
"Gramps, I can't. I…"
"You're not a murderer Kali." Luz stated, taking the Clawthorne girls hand into her own. "It wasn't your fault that the curse did what it did, the day you were born."
"Should something happen to me, you shall take on the mantle of Guild Master. I'm counting on you to lead this Guild into prosperity, once I retire." Makarov stated.
Kali looked at him, before back at the pendant in her hand. With a sigh, Kali put the pendant on the same chain as the heart pendant Saphira left her, on her hip, signifying she accepted the role, and would take over once Makarov had chosen to retire.
"I'll do my best, Gramps." Kali said.
"The PA system is enchanted to allow only Gramps to turn it on, to announce who his successor will be, or if he's passing the Guild on. I'm sure Laxus will be pissed when he sees the pendant, and hears the announcement." Grey smirked.
"He will be for sure." Em stated.
"Ed told us about the beating Laxus gave Kali before the job they took on together to jumpstart their book." Amity said. "So it's safe to assume, if Kali steps foot outside, then the Thunder Legion is gonna be gunning for her. But we won't let that happen."
"Gus, you go with Erza." Kali said. "Em, you're with Grey. Willow, you're with Mira."
"What about us?" Luz asked.
"You two, stay put." Kali said. "Don't make me say the reason why out loud."
"We're gonna need backup still." Makarov said.
"I know a couple of people who could help." Kali smiled.
~Titan Café~
"So, what did you wanna meet with me about Alador?" Eda asked. "Must be pretty important if you're playing hooky from the factory."
"Odalia's becoming obsessed with getting Kali expelled from Hexside." Alador said. "She's trying to regain control over Amity's life, like she had before she met the human girl, and your Granddaughter."
"That is concerning." Eda said, about to take a sip of her drink, before she paused as a rift opened between them, revealing Kali as she stepped through it.
"Oh good, you're both here." Kali smiled. "We have a situation, and we could really use your help with resolving it."
"What do you need?" Eda asked.
"We need Harpy and Abomination." Kali said. "Fairy Tail has been forced into a war, against itself."
