Coven Fairy

"Alright, what's the situation looking like?" Eda asked, coming through the portal with Alador.

"Dad?" Amity and Emira asked.

"Hey there Kids, where's Ed?" Alador questioned.

"He wasn't invited." Amity said. "Dad, what are you doing here? This is Guild business."

"Oh that's right, you weren't made aware." Kali said. "Your dad asked me to bring him to Earthland, so he could join Fairy Tail, and learn from the technology we have here." She stated, as Alador pulled up his sleeve, and showed the Fairy Tail emblem on the underside of his forearm. "In exchange, he's given me the master control password to the Abomatons he's made for the Emperor's Coven."

"It looks like it went over your Coven Sigil." Emira said.

"That's because it did." Alador said. "After Kali removed the magic it held over me with her glove, I joined Fairy Tail, and I'm not regretting that choice. Also, there's something you and I need to discuss regarding her."

"Dad, if you're talking about, that, then I'm already aware, and I'm even helping her with it." Amity said. "Luz and I both are helping her with it."

"What's, that?" Makarov, Eda, and Emira questioned in unison out of curiosity.

"Nothing, nothing important." Kali said hesitantly. "Amity, why don't you fill Alador in on recent events later when you have a moment to catch up and bond during the festival after we get this whole mess sorted? For now, we gotta take care of Laxus and the Thunder Legion before anything else."

"Right, you said you needed Harpy and Abomination. We're more then happy to lend a hand in dealing with internal conflicts within the Coven." Alador said.

"Guild, dad. It's a Guild, not a Coven." Amity said.

"Oh, my bad. I've been calling it a Coven in front of your mother, to keep her attempts at Kali's safety, to a dull roar." Alador said.

"So what's going on?" Eda asked, Owlberts staff in her hand.

"Laxus has declared war on Gramps." Kali said. "He's wanting to take the title of Guild Master for himself, and he'll destroy the Guild itself to do it."

"He's culling those he deems as weak, to weed out those he'll deem unworthy of remaining within his Fairy Tail." Luz said.

"He's gonna try and rule over Fairy Tail, with an iron fist." Amity said. "An' worse…"

"He plans on killing Kali." Grey said. "An' it won't be like the beatings he normally dishes out on her when he's in a bad mood. He plans on ending her life, for good."

"His own sister?" Alador questioned.

"He doesn't view me, as a member of his family." Kali stated, drawing their attention to her. "He views me, as nothing more then the parasite who killed his mother. My mother, the day I was born."

"That insolent brat." Makarov shouted as he began to run for the door with the others. "Just wait. I'll stop you with my own two hands. Ah!" He exclaimed as he hit an invisible barrier.

"What's wrong?" Grey questioned.

"An invisible wall." Makarov said as he tried to push himself through it.

"Don't be silly gramps, there's nothing here." Grey stated as he tried to pull Makarov through the barrier. "Man what's the deal?" The ice mage questioned before noticing something, while dropping Makarov on the ground. "What's that floating above us? Looks like some kind of writing."

"Must be one of Freed's enchantments." Makarov sighed.

"Figures." Kali sighed.

"What do you mean 'enchantment'?" Grey questioned.

"It's a barrier formed by magic runes. Anyone who steps inside is bound by its rules and the only way to escape is to follow them." Kali explained. "His magic is similar to Levy's that way."

"Any idea what it says?" Grey asked.

"Stone statues and anyone over the age of 80 years shall not pass." Makarov read aloud.

"Whoever writes the rules wins the fight huh?" Grey questioned.

"Perhaps, but enchantments like these take time to write. As such they'd be useless in a one-on-one battle. Still as you can see, they're quite effective if set up as traps." Kali stated. "He must have worked on this all night, and it only activated once Laxus started the Battle Royale."

"You're really stuck? You can't break through?" Grey questioned.

"I'm afraid the rules of the enchantment are absolute." Makarov sighed.

"Well, I guess that settles it." Grey stated. "It looks like we're gonna have to go into this fight without ya, gramps."

"I'm sorry." Makarov sighed.

"Kali, when you find Laxus, don't show him any mercy, even if Laxus is your brother." Grey stated, looking to the Clawthorne girl. "He's gonna pay for this."

"I wasn't planning on showing mercy." Kali said. "In fact, there's something new I've been wanting to try out, and this seems like the perfect opportunity."

"Kali, before you go, there's still someone we're missing from this team." Makarov said, as Grey ran off to fight.

"Right, we're missing Skara, and Viney. They're members of Fairy Tail as well." Kali said, opening her portal blade. "I sent them back because they'd had their fun, but we every…"

"Right but I was talking about someone else." Makarov said, interrupting Kali.

"Who else on the Boiling Isles could be a member of Fairy Tail? We all know Ed quit the moment he broke it off with me." Kali stated.

"Lilith." Makarov said. "Lilith is a member of Fairy Tail."

"What?" Kali questioned. "Since when?"

"Since the day she brought you to be examined by Porlyusica." Mira said, showing she was still there. "I offered her a chance to see what it's like to actually be in a place surrounded by those who care about you."

"Why the hell would you do that?" Kali questioned, sounding angered, which shocked Mira and Makarov.

"Because she's family." Makarov said.

"No, that woman is not, my family." Kali stated, her words shocking Makarov and Mira even more.

"Kali, calm down." Luz said.

"No, I won't calm down. My life's been a living nightmare, because of what Lilith did to Grandma." Kali stated.

"Trust me Kali, I remember exactly what she said she did." Eda said. "But Lilith is trying to…"

"You know what, no!" Kali huffed. "This isn't the time to be having this conversation. We'll continue this after I kick Laxus's ass."

Kali shouldered her way past Makarov and Alador when they tried to stop her, before she passed through the barrier.

"What's gotten into her?" Alador asked.

"Lilith was the one who cursed me." Eda sighed. "An' Kali is my only descendants who inherited my curse. The first time it activated, was when her mother was in the delivery room, the day she was born. But it activated in utero, and Kali's mother didn't make it. We didn't learn it was Lilith who cursed me, until she told us herself, the day before she lost Sapphire, and I was to be petrified. Ever since then, Kali's held a grudge against Lilith, understandably so."

"I see." Alador said, understanding what Eda meant.

"If Kali isn't willing to accept Lilith as a member of Fairy Tail, then I fear what may be the outcome, should the topic escalate into an argument." Makarov stated.

~Laxus~

"ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!?" Laxus questioned, slamming his fists down on the steps.

"I'm afraid it's true Laxus." Freed said, Evergreen and Bickslow standing behind him. "The roster shows all the girls that had been petrified, are now participants in the Battle Royale."

"That little… The Parasite must have used her Isles magic to undo Evergreen's petrification." Laxus growled.

"But how? We put the hurt on her good, she shouldn't have been able to move an inch after what we did." Bickslow said.

"She wasn't the only one from the Isles, within the Guildhall though." Freed said. "It could have been one of the Blight girls, or that human girl that was with them."

"You mean the girl who threw that flaming Grudgby Ball back at us without even touching it?" Evergreen tsked. "Still pisses me off she was able to do that. An' I can't even figure out how she did that, no matter what I do."

"Research was never really your strong suit, was it?" Bickslow asked with a laugh.

"Shut up you doll loving…"

"Enough!" Laxus exclaimed, causing lightning to erupt around him. "We will handle this. We just need a different strategy. An' I know just what we should do."

"What did you have in mind Laxus?" Freed asked.

"At the moment, I need you all to keep the rest of the Guild busy, while I set up my contingency plan." Laxus stated darkly.

~Grey/Emira~

"This sucks, where's the Thunder Legion hiding?" Grey questioned, running through the streets with Emira tailing him.

"I'm all for games and fun, but what Laxus is doing, is going too far." Emira stated.

"You're telling me." Grey said. "So, any idea as to why Luz and Amity had to stay behind at the Guildhall with the others?"

"Not a clue." Emira stated.

"It's Grey." A vibrating voice said behind them.

"An' a green haired Isles girl." Another voice stated, before two green lights shined behind them.

"Watch out!" Grey shouted, pulled Emira to the side, jumping away as they narrowly avoided the blast, sliding into a store.

"What in Titans name are those things?" Emira asked.

"Those are Bickslow's sidekicks!" Grey stated, letting Emira go.

"Yo."

Grey and Emira turned around to see Bickslow right behind them. But instead of his normal smile, his expression was a serious one.

"We need to talk." Bickslow said sternly.

~Elfman~

"Wait up big guy." Katya said, catching up with Elfman as she chased after him. "I got some news you're gonna wanna hear, and it's really good."

"What's up Kat?" Elfman asked.

"Just thought I should let you know, Luz used Kali's Titan Quill to undo the petrification on the girls." Katya said.

"That's great."

"But they won't be able to join the fight just yet. Because of how they were freed from their petrification, they're all a bit ill right now. The only one who doesn't seem affected is Erza, and she thinks it may have something to do with her right eye." Katya said. "Don't know why that would be a factor though."

"It's because her right eye is artificial. She lost her actual eye to cultists torturing her as a child, before she came to Fairy Tail." Elfman said. "So it's safe to assume, she would have managed to break free of the petrification on her own because of it, if Luz hadn't intervened."

"It was kinda awesome how she used the Titans Quill to undo the petrification." Katya said.

"So that's how my spell was broken."

Elfman and Katya stopped running, as Evergreen landed in front of them, a sinister smile on her face as she held her hand under her chin like a noble woman. At her appearance, Elfman took a fighting stance, while Katya grabbed her tambourine.

"I'll have to destroy that pesky little Quill after Laxus takes the mantle of Guild Master." Evergreen smiled.

"Evergreen!" Elfman growled, before he ran straight for her. "I'm gonna make you pay for what you did to Mira and Kali!"

"Oh, is that a fact?" Evergreen questioned, raising her glasses with her eyes glowing.

The instant that happened though, Katya used Bard Magic with her tambourine, and hit the green clad woman with a crescent wave of light, that harmlessly passed through Elfman, while forcing the traitorous woman to close her eyes as she was blinded.

This gave Elfman the opportunity needed to hit Evergreen with a lariat, causing her to flip through the air, and land hard on her back.

"That trick's not gonna work on her a second time big guy." Katya stated, as Evergreen picked herself up.

"Not a problem!" Elfman stated, tying a blindfold over his eyes, before taking on a Full Body Takeover. "I can fight her using my Takeover's sense of smell!"

"Do you really think you can defeat me blindfolded?" Evergreen questioned.

"Evergreen, stop this. We're drawing a crowd." Katya said.

"Then let's give them a show." Evergreen stated.

"Everyone get away from here. Laxus and the Thunder Legion have turned all of Magnolia into the battleground for his coup for power, and pitting Fairy Tail against each other." Katya called out.

Her words didn't seem to hold any sway over the people. But Elfman's did.

"She's not kidding around. Get out of here, before someone gets hurt in the crossfire, NOW!"

"Noble to warn them, but ultimately futile." Evergreen declared.

~Fairy Tail~

"An update just popped up on the barrier." Amity said, directing their attention to the doors. "Elfman and Katya VS Evergreen. The winner is, Evergreen. Elfman and Katya, K.O." She read aloud, worriedly while subconsciously putting a hand to her flat stomach.

"It makes sense that BATS girl was beaten by Evergreen, even with the Ethernano in the atmosphere boosting her wild magic, but I thought Elfman was a powerhouse Takeover Mage?" Eda asked.

"Up until the war against Phantom Lord, Elfman had only been using his magic on his limbs." Makarov said. "Two years ago, he attempted a full body takeover on a monster that was terrorizing a village. He wasn't strong enough, and the monsters will took over, and it resulted, in the loss of someone dear to us."

"Ever since then, for the past two years, Elfman's been too afraid to even attempt another full body takeover. That is until he was forced to, during the war with Phantom, when they held Mira hostage, and threatened to kill her." Levy said.

"Even I have to admit, that was low, even for us." Gajeel huffed. "But it's surprising the big guy lost to Evergreen. I thought for sure he'd be able to take her out."

"Now it says that Grey and Emira are fighting against Bickslow?" Natsu questioned. "No fair, why do they get to hog all the fun for themselves."

"It also says Freed is fighting against Reedus." King said. "I don't know about you guys, but that's a poor match up if I've ever seen one."

"Indeed." Makarov said. "Reedus's magic, is powerless, against Freed's enchantments."

"An' the results of that battle just came in." Luz said. "Reedus lost."

"I knew it, he never could have beat Freed, that guy is good." Natsu said, before Eda smacked him hard upside the head. "Hey, what the hell was that for?"

"You're cheering for the wrong team dummy." Eda said. "It's clear my Grandson's thought this through. He's got all his basis covered. But he might have overlooked something."

"Oh really? Do tell me, Grandmother, what exactly did I overlook?"

Eda and the others at the door turned around, spotting Laxus as he stood there, looking a bit more translucent then normal.

"Where'd you come from?" Natsu questioned.

"Illusion magic?" Amity asked.

"It's a thought projection." Makarov said.

"Natsu, what are you doing hold up in this dump, are you scared?" Laxus questioned.

"I'm not scared, I'm stuck!" Natsu exclaimed.

"So, you're my grandson, is that right?" Eda asked, drawing the blonde's attention to her.

"An' you must be my dear Grandmother, from the Boiling Isles." Laxus said. "No surprise that parasite was able to bring you in on this."

"What do you want, Laxus?" Makarov asked angrily.

"How's it feel huh old man?" Laxus asked. "You think of the Guild Members as your children right? Must be tough, watching your little kiddies tear each other apart. It's too bad Natsu can't join the game, because Erza alone, isn't strong enough to take on the Thunder Legion. You ready to throw in the towel?"

"No it's not over yet." King said. "Don't forget that Grey's still in the game, and he's just as strong of a wizard as Natsu."

"Hold it flea bag, you don't even know how strong he is, so how's that a fair argument?" Natsu questioned.

"Grey huh? You're gonna put all of your hopes on that loser?" Laxus questioned.

"I wouldn't underestimate the boys power if I were you." Makarov stated.

"Whatever." Laxus tsked. "But I do have to ask, just what exactly is it, that I've overlooked in my plans for taking over the Guild?"

"You've overlooked, the fighting spirit of your sister." Eda stated.

"That parasite who murdered my mother?" Laxus questioned.

"What happened to your mother, wasn't Kali's fault." Eda said. "I know all about what happened. But even so, that doesn't mean Ivan had the right, to tear his own daughter open, and kill her over and over again."

"That monster isn't my sister." Laxus stated. "I was there you know, the day she tore through my mothers stomach, and took her life. I saw what she truly was, and I've never forgotten it since."

"Kali didn't have a choice at the time." Eda stated.

There was a moment of pause, before Luz remembered something, and looked to Laxus.

"Even the name Kali, was meant to be an insult, wasn't it?" Luz asked, drawing his attention to her. "In my world, Kali was the Hindu Goddess of Death, Time, and Change. Ivan somehow knew something similar to that, didn't he?"

"Close brat." Laxus said. "Here in Earthland, Kali's the name of a Goddess, who presided over Death, Carnage, and War. Enjoying it to the point of addiction with a dangerous opioid narcotic. It's also rumored she was said to have been Zeref's lover at one point."

"So your father named her Kali, as a reminder of what her curse did?" Amity asked.

"Of what SHE did!" Laxus said. "That little parasite killed my mother, so my father and I ensured that Kali wouldn't ever, be able to live in peace here in Magnolia, or any of the towns we'd been to while on jobs. I can promise you, by the end of the battle royale, she'll be in far worse condition, then she left my mother in when she was born."

"Laxus, this has gone too far." Makarov said.

"You're right old man." Laxus said. "You've allowed that parasite to live, for far too long. It's about time, I put the town out of its misery, and end her myself!"

~Lucy & Happy~

"Are you sure you're feeling all right Lucy?" Happy asked, flying next to the blonde.

"I'll be fine Happy. I wasn't petrified like the others, remember?" Lucy asked.

"That's not what I mean." Happy said. "That was the first time, you saw Laxus and the Thunder Legion's treatment of Kali in person."

"I see. You're worried it freaked me out badly." Lucy said.

"Yeah."

"That's sweet of you Happy, really." Lucy smiled. "But I'm more worried, about what Kali will do, once she makes her way to Laxus."

~Fairy Tail~

"Amity, we need to talk." Alador said, standing next to the table Amity and Luz were sitting at, across from one another.

"What's up dad?" Amity asked.

Alador looked over his shoulder, to Makarov who was ranting on about Laxus in the distance, with Eda and King trying to calm him down, before looking back to his daughter and the human girl.

"What exactly did you mean, when you said you're helping Kali with her pregnancy?" Alador questioned.

"Oh well…" Amity looked to Luz before the human girl nodded, stating that she should tell him. "Kali used the Titans Quill to give Luz and I a fusion ability. Our fusion name is called Lumity. An' Lumity, came up with the idea of using this…" She paused, to bring out the pregnancy holder box, showing all the facial icons, with Luz and Amity's being smaller under Lumity's. "To transfer the pregnancy to her. AKA us."

"Transfer?" Alador asked.

"What's that mean?" King questioned.

"An' why would Kali create something like this?" Alador added.

"Kali created it, because she was needed in a fight. But didn't wanna risk her babies lives. So what this does is hold the pregnancy, while being attached to the person who's icon is currently lit up." Luz said, showing it was the triple icon, that was lit up.

"So you two are…"

"Currently carrying the pregnancy, yes." Amity sighed. "That's why Kali had us stay behind."

"Okay, I was not expecting that." Alador said.

"Then you're probably not gonna be prepared for this bit of information." Luz said. "The babies, are now biologically related to Kali, me, and Amity."

Alador just looked at the girls, his eyes wide with shock, as he felt faint, needing to sit down as he took a seat at the table across from them.

"So I'm…"

"Gonna be a grandpa, yes." Amity said.

"How?"

"Well… when Lumity first took on the pregnancy, we'd fused into her with Luz being on her ovulation cycle." Amity stated. "An' because of that, rather then returning to a cluster of cells inside Lumity's uterus, the babies remained at their current gestational period, while retaining Kali's biological base, as they became our children as well."

"When Lumity split apart, back into the two of us, we each took a baby with us." Luz said, lifting her top, and belly compressor to show her full term pregnant belly. "So now, we're not only giving Kali a break from the weight of carrying these two, but we're also experiencing the joys of pregnancy together."

"Will you be able to return them to Kali?" King asked, putting his paws on her belly as the baby in her kicked.

"Ooh, we will. We'd planned on doing that after we'd returned from the Harvest Festival." Luz said, rubbing where the baby had kicked.

"Okay." Alador said, getting to his feet.

"That's it?" Amity asked.

"That's it. That's all I needed to know, and more I didn't wanna know." Alador stated, before turning to leave.

Luz and Amity watched Alador leave, their nerves rising when they saw him heading towards Eda and Makarov. Their hearts were pounding when they saw he'd started up a conversation with them, and it finally came to a close, when they responded to what he'd told them.

"WHAT?" They both shouted, with Eda taking on Harpy Mode.

"Oh no." Luz groaned.

~Erza~

"I gotta hurry, who knows what Laxus has planned for Kali." Erza huffed, running through the streets, before stopping as someone spoke to her. She was still dressed in the clothes she wore for her performance, a Gothic Lolita attire.

"Hey there Erza, that's a pretty crazy getup you got on."

"We saw a bunch of guys from your guild fighting earlier. Think you could ask them to stop wrecking the town? I mean, I know it's nowhere near as bad as that that cursed beast you call Makarov's granddaughter has done, but it's still annoying."

"Please forgive them. They're just preparing for the big parade." Erza said.

"I don't see what that has to do with fighting."

"I promise, it'll be a good show." Erza stated.

"I'll take your word for it then."

"Try to clean up after yourselves, okay?"

"Before I go, there's one thing I gotta say." Erza said, before her aura became dark, scaring the man who insulted Kali, as she glared right at him. "Insult my friend like that again, and the Guild will be the least of your worries."

"Yes Ma'am." He said, before Erza took off running.

"That's why I kept my trap shut about her." The first man whistled.

Erza ran further through the streets of the town, stopping as she sensed some powerful magic being cast, before jumping back and dodging a familiar attack.

"My, my. Now that's odd." Evergreen said. "I seem to recall you being loyal to the Guild. So why would you defend the honor of such a cursed beast, who needs to be put down?"

"Evergreen." Erza growled. "You know as well as I, that Kali wasn't to blame for what happened to Iris Dreyar."

"So pathetic." Evergreen sighed. "Of course she's responsible for Iris Dreyar's death. How can you not see her, for what she truly is? She's nothing more, then a monster."

"Shut your mouth!" Erza exclaimed, reequipping two swords into her hands.

Evergreen flew higher into the air as Erza launched herself at her, jumping up the walls with parkour, before landing on the roof. Unfortunately though, Evergreen saw this coming and already had an attack prepared for her arrival.

"Fairy Machine Gun!" She called out, sending the attack at Erza.

Erza quickly evaded the attack, maneuvering left and right through the magical projectiles.

"Ivan and Laxus, were only doing what they had to, in order to make that brat pay, for what she did to Laxus's mother!" Evergreen stated. "It's because of that Wild Magic, that Iris Dreyar lost her life."

"It might be true, that Kali's curse killed Iris, but Kali herself was not responsible for it." Erza said, slashing through the magical projectiles, before smiling. "But if you hate magic from the Boiling Isles so much, you're not gonna like who's behind you."

Evergreen looked at Erza as if she'd lost her mind, before a shadow came over top of her, and she turned around to see Gus standing atop a giant skeletal monster, that looked menacingly at Evergreen, causing her to panic.

"I'm gonna make you pay, for hurting my friend, and trying to kill her." Gus declared, as the skeletal monster threw a punch.

"NO!" Evergreen shouted in horror.

The instant the punch made contact with Evergreen, the skeletal monster vanished in a puff of blue smoke, and Evergreen was floating in the air, unable to say a word, with her hair a mess. Her eyes rolled to the inside of her skull as she passed out, and fell to the roof bellow.

"Nice work on the illusion Gus." Erza said, as Gus came out from behind the water tank on the roof. "Was it hard to keep up?"

"A bit…" Gus huffed. "At least now, anyone she's turned to stone since Luz freed the hostages, should have reverted back to normal."

"That's right, they should have." Erza smiled. "Good work Gus. You're a true member of Fairy Tail."

~Fairy Tail~

"You two, are in so much trouble." Eda said, scolding Luz with King on her lap, or rather she tried keeping him on her lap, but her exposed pregnant belly got in the way, with Amity sitting beside her, the cotton candy haired girls top being lifted to reveal her belly, while Alador stood next to her and Makarov. "How could you keep something like this a secret from me, from us?"

"It wasn't our secret to tell." Amity said.

"Kali just didn't know how you were going to react." Luz said.

"Who else knows about the pregnancy?" Eda asked.

"Porlyusica, Princess Hisui, Arcadios, The Bat Queen, Gwen, Lilith, Levy, the Golden Guard, Mr. Blight apparently, and a couple more I think." Luz said.

"Mom and Lilith already knew?" Eda questioned, before turning to Alador. "An' you knew? Why didn't you say anything sooner?"

"I didn't say anything, because the babies weren't Ed's. But now that I'm gonna be a grandpa, I figured you'd both have a right to know. An' I've known about the pregnancy, since the Abomaton incident." Alador said. "It's why the Abomaton switched off its non-lethal attacks when she arrived."

"Didn't seem non-lethal to me." Luz stated.

"Can we get back on track here?" Eda asked. "How was she even able to get pregnant? I thought that Demon Fetus thing left her barren?"

"The magic that fused Sapphire with her." Makarov said, finally speaking up. "Those babies were Sapphire's, weren't they?"

"They were." Luz said. "I found out about the pregnancy, the day that I gave Kali her Gum-Gum powers."

"So that's how it is." Makarov said. "When Sapphire sacrificed herself, she granted Kali's greatest wish of being able to start a family of her own."

"When did Lilly and my mom find out?" Eda asked.

"Same day I did." Luz said. "Only it was after the incident with Boss Graves when they decided to look her over for injuries."

"I found out that day as well." Levy called from where she sat, doing research on what she needed for dispelling Freed's enchantment around the Guildhall. "Same with Hisui and Arcadios."

"Has Laxus ever touched her since her hair turned blue?" Gajeel asked, leaning against a pillar nearby.

"No. She's spent most of her time on the Boiling Isles." Makarov said. "He hasn't touched her, since that day Laxus took his anger out on you both."

"Either way, he's still getting a beat down from me." Gajeel stated with a leer. "I'll show him, what a big brother's really supposed to do."

"Uh guys." Natsu called from the barrier at the door. "Something weird's going on with the barrier."

Looking to the door, everyone saw what Natsu was talking about. Slowly, the letters of the barrier began to fly into the building, and took on the shape of a skull.

"What is that thing?" King asked, hiding behind Luz.

"Can you hear me old man, is the Parasite there with you?" Laxus's voice echoed as he asked, the skulls mouth moving in time with his words. "The rest of you better listen up too."

"Who's he referring to when he says, Parasite?" Alador asked.

"He's referring to Kali." Gajeel said in anger.

"What do you want?" Natsu asked.

"Looks like one of the rules has gone out the window. I don't know how you were able to undo Evergreen's spell before Erza and that Boiling Isles brat were able to beat her, but that's not gonna save you this time." Laxus said. "It's fine though, with the old rule out the window, I'll just add a new one. In other words, since I would hate the end the battle of Fairy Tail, before it even begins, I've decided to activate the Thunder Palace!"

"He really is gonna do it. Are you out of your mind Laxus?" Makarov asked.

"You have one hour and ten minutes. If you think you can defeat me, then get moving." Laxus said. "Unless you're ready to hand the guild over to me now, Master." He sarcastically said, as he began to laugh with the skull dispersing into particles.

"What's the Thunder Palace?" King asked.

"A weapon of mass destruction. With power equal to that, of Phantom's Jupiter Cannon." Makarov stated, before his attention was drawn to the roster, and saw an additional name had been added to the rankings. "Well, seems we've finally gotten ourselves, a heavy hitter on Laxus's level."

~Cardia Cathedral~

Laxus sat quietly in the main chapel of the Cathedral. He was pissed that Evergreen had just lost to Erza and Gus, but what really drove it home, was how Kali had roped their Grandmother into this fight, and another member who'd joined relatively recently, but was proving he was more of a challenge then his appearance would suggest. He'd made his claim to Makarov, declaring he was going to use the Thunder Palace if he didn't get his way, and now had to wait for the title to be handed over to him. But there was an upside to this, as someone he'd been wanting to have an actual fight with, stepped into the Cathedral, making the blonde man smile.

"You actually showed up. I'm surprised you're here. I didn't think this game would be of any interest to you." Laxus stated.

"If you bring down the Thunder Palace right now, we may be able to convince the citizens that it was part of the festival." Mystogan stated.

"Is that really why you came back? Gimme a break. You're looking for a piece of the action. You wanna know who the strongest Sorcerer in Fairy Tail is… you or me." Laxus smirked.

"Don't be so quick to rule out Erza or Kali." Mystogan exclaimed.

"Are you kidding me? Sure that redhead knight's got spunk, but that parasite is nothing but a stain that has to be removed from the face of this world. She's weak, useless, pathetic. She should just curl up and die already!" Laxus growled.

"You think they're weak? You're either blind or more ignorant then I thought." Mystogan chuckled. "An' like it or not, Kali is your sister. Someone who's needed her big brothers love, but hasn't received it, because he was quick to believe his fathers lies about her."

"I got nothing against Erza. But you know as well as I, my justifications towards hating that parasite. But I think we can both agree that we're stronger then either of them." Laxus stated. "It's clear one of us, is Fairy Tail's top sorcerer. The question is, who deserves the title?"

"If you see the world in such simple terms, perhaps you are blind." Mystogan stated.

"I'm sick of talking about it." Laxus glared. "Let's settle this here and now… Mystogan, or should I say…?"

Before Laxus could finish his little rant, Mystogan sent an attack at the lightning wielder, who blocked it with his own lightning strike. The two powers colliding, all the windows, mosaics, and some pillars shattered as they both clashed.

"Tell me, how do you know about that?" Mystogan questioned. "There are only two people, who know the truth about me."

"Oops. Did I strike a nerve? It's a rare treat to see you lose your cool like that." Laxus smirked. "I've got a deal for ya. Beat me, and I swear, I'll tell you everything I know."

"You're going to regret that statement Laxus. You're about to witness magic the likes of which you've never seen before." Mystogan stated imbedding his staff into the ground.

"Oh I'm so scared." Laxus taunted. "Go on and show me what you got, you freak. I'm dying to see how much stronger I am."

Mystogan reached behind his back, pulling out the rest of his staffs, and imbedding them into the ground.

"Skyscraper." Mystogan exclaimed a magic circle forming in front of him.

Laxus began to look around as the ground began to shake, and rumble, before practically exploding, sending him high into the air.

"What happened?" Laxus questioned, looking down to see the church was destroyed. "Impossible. The entire church? Aah."

Above him, two pairs of hands began to open up the sky, revealing the owner of those hands, belonging to a monster. Laxus tried to escape from its reach, only to be restrained by leather ropes appearing out of nowhere.

"What kind of magic is this?" He questioned struggling against his restraints, before the monster in front of him roared. Laxus began flashing with electricity, multiple times before breaking through the illusion. "Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha. Now that's funny. Ha." Laxus laughed. "Did you seriously think you'd be able to defeat me using some kind of stupid illusion?"

"Impressive, but it seems you're still a bit slow on the uptake." Mystogan exclaimed.

"What?" Laxus questioned as a pillar of light descended upon him as five magic circles appeared above him.

"Sleep. Five-layer magic circle… Sacred Song." Mystogan exclaimed.

"You think I'm the slow one huh?" Laxus questioned with a smile. "This will be interesting."

~Kali~

Kali let out a breath of air, as she made her way to Cardia Cathedral. The doors within her sights. She'd done her best to avoid anyone from the Thunder Legion, wanting to make sure her remaining energy was used to fight Laxus. She'd had it with his abuse, and today was the day she was gonna take a stand, and put an end to his trauma inducing torment.

Stepping up to the doors of the Cathedral, Kali placed her hands on them, before shoving them open. Without a work, Kali's force of attack sent the doors wide open, revealing Laxus inside, as well as a familiar blue haired mage, with red marks over his right eye. Kali's expression grew to one of shock, as Mystogan looked right at her, blood trailing down the left side of his head, from the stone that hit him, and knocked off his cap and mask.

"Well, if it isn't the little parasite herself." Laxus smirked, his body producing lightning as it danced across the main chapel. "I'm so glad, you came here to die. Where better for your execution to take place, then the very Cathedral, my mothers funeral, was held at?"
