Now all that was left was to journey to the Farplane. I told them that we would have to go through some weird stuff soon. When Yuna asked what I meant, I explained.
"There are holes to the Farplane in every place we found controlled aeons. We have to either split up and tackle each one in one go, or go as a group through each one. If we split up, we wait to move to each landing until we either see each other or each chime in when they reach before it. The Aeons we haven't faced yet wait at each landing. So it would be better if we all battled together either way we choose." I told them.
Everyone thought for a couple of minutes, then I was asked if fiends would show up on the paths. I told them that the only enemies we should encounter on the pathways were the aeons, but the harder paths have puzzles like the closter of trials on a smaller scale. Then we had a vote. Because there was the holes in Besaid, Kilika, Djose, Bevelle, and the Cavern of the stolen Fayth we decided that we would team up and each team would take a path. And one person in each team would have a com to communicate with the others.
Since the teams would be unequal as it was, I asked if Yuna wanted to call in the help. Yuna looked confused, but said yes. I put out the call. Ben would join me at the Cavern, and Drew would make his way to Bevelle to meet up with Paine. Yuna would enter with Zaon in Besaid, and Rikku would join with Maroda who volunteered to help in Djose. Auron and Sora would jump in at Kilika. Once we were all ready, we jumped. Once I was standing with Ben, I commed the group to see if they worked in here.
"Did everyone land safely?" I asked. Yuna chimed in first, then Paine. Auron commed third, then Rikku afterwards. I then told everyone to com me if they ran into any problems. After every group confirmed they would, Ben and I made our way down. About ten minutes later, I saw the first platform. I couldn't see anyone else, so I commed the others to say I had arrived at our first meet up. Yuna commed next, and said she was waiting. Rikku spoke next five minutes after Yuna, and Auron five minutes after that. Paine was last but when we were all ready, I called out for us to jump onto the platform.
The minute we all joined each other on the platform, a chill came from nowhere. Shiva had arrived. Those that were with us when we defeated Yu Yevon two years ago knew Shiva is weak to fire. So Sora and I pelted her with Firaga, while everyone else used fire-type items or moves on her. And with our combined effort, she fell. We rested and healed from the encounter. That is when I realized something. I could only see one path leading down. I asked Auron if he saw the same path, even going so far as to point to it.
"Rose, while I do see only one path down, the one I see is over there. Do you know something about that?" He asked. I chuckled, which startled everyone else.
"I get it better now. The reason we couldn't see other teams until the platform was because we took different paths. And while I see the path from the cavern, Auron can't. Likewise, I can't see the path from another temple but can see the one from the cavern. So I suppose that each team can only see and use the path that is linked from the entry point they used. So we must be twice as careful." I explained. Everyone soaked in that knowledge and before we all parted swore that if anything happened, that team would com everyone. And we would repeat what happened before when dealing with the platforms.
Ben and I took our path and even though we hit a puzzle of sorts, we sorted it out quickly. We were just barely able to see the next platform when Yuna commed that she was waiting. I commed back that I was in sight of the platform and for the other teams to be careful. Auron commed two minutes later and told us that his team was waiting. Twenty minutes after Auron's com, everyone was waiting. After being assured that we were ready, the com was sent to jump.
We all ran together and I was asked what aeon was next. I told them to look for themselves. As soon as we had landed, a chain had come from above and was pulling the aeon up. Anima. Yuna knew and screamed it's name. As soon as the chain let Anima go, I started doublecasting Flare with some Holy spells mixed in. The warriors hit as hard and as fast as they could. Most of us knew we had no time to waste and those who didn't, picked up on it quickly.
Anima was harder to defeat than Shiva due to the latter having an elemental weakness, but in the end we managed. Maroda asked about that aeon, and I let Yuna explain. I was exhausted already, and knew that the last aeon we would have to face would be the hardest. I suggested that we all take turns resting so that we didn't over do ourselves. Mages first, then warriors is what we all decided. As soon as I lay down, I was out.
I was awakened by Zaon, and switched with him for his rest. This continued until we all had rested for a couple of hours. Yuna looked at me and asked the question that I knew I had to answer.
"Mom. The last aeon we have to face is the Magus Sisters, right?" I nodded and said that we had to wait to press on until everyone knew what they needed to do. Paine and Maroda looked confused, so I explained.
"The Magus Sisters were a forgotten aeon, as was Yojimbo. Anima was created for a person, but those that were forgotten had conditions to receiving them. And most people had no knowledge of those three I mentioned. Now with the Magus Sisters we need a perfect strategy. Because they are three spirits that make one aeon, there are three independent parts. Cindy is a heavy hitter. Sandy is a speedy attacker. And Mindy is more speedy but relys on mostly her special attack. Before they gain their overdrive, we must take one out. I suggest our black mages focus on Mindy first. White Mages should first cast reflect on each of them. So if they try casting healing magic, it bounces to us. Then healing and buffs for us. Speed and working together will be the key to defeating them." Everyone nodded, and we got ready to move on.
