Paris, France ~ That Night
Marinette's feet slid across the wet rooftop, her eyes narrowing in on the akumatised villain who was ahead of her. Chat Noir was ahead of her digging his claws into the roof as he ran on all fours, each stride getting him closer to the villain.
Marinette had a love-hate relationship with the rain. When she was in civilian form, the feeling of it on her hair and the smells it brought out were astounding. When she was Ladybug however it made her job twice as hard as it needed to be. It didn't help that Villain the duo were facing this time seemed to be just as fast, if not faster than them.
The Akumatised villain sent back a blast of branches towards Chat Noir and herself. She watched as Chat Noir broke through them easily with his powerful claws and he seemed to switch directions suddenly. Marinette on the other hand winced as the large branches crashed against her face, she wasn't focusing enough and this stupid fauna guy was making a fool of her. Wait…Fauna we were near their old high school which had a massive park nearby, there was plenty of Fauna he could control around there.
It only took a few seconds for Marinette to realise that's what Adrian was doing as she saw him leap off the building and use his Staff as a vaulting stick to launch himself towards their former school. Her eyes locked back onto Overgrow and shot her Yo-Yo towards him, and it wrapped itself around his arm. She put herself firmly against the ground as the villain pulled her along, the rain just making her slide.
However she saw her opportunity to catch up as the Villain launched himself down to a small building, She pulled her feet as hard as possible against the ground until she got to the edge of the building she was on. Overgrow who was annoyed about being held back launched her forwards. She had already used her lucky charm at least twice in this fight but she hoped this one would do the charm.
She felt the power of creation flow through her body and out of her hand as she yelled through the rain "Lucky Charm!" a pair of trimmers appeared in her hands, What could the trimmers be useful on a guy of tree…Overgrow came to a crashing stop and Marinette grinned. The reason why was the glowing green eyes of her partner in crime, The edges of his ear as well as the strips down the rest of his body started glowing green "You a deer caught in the headlights Overgrow."
Marinette looked between the Trimmers, Her Partner and Overgrow….the flower on his chest. Oh, it was Cilian Trica, he had been turned down again. Of course, it was. She yelled to her partner "Chat! Catch!" Before sending the small trimmers flying towards him, her partner grinned and leapt into the air catching them and unlatching them in one swift movement, sliding to the ground next to the villain and sweeping his legs. Due to her still holding onto his arm with a Yo-yo he fell at an angle and couldn't strike at Chat Noir as he snipped the flower on Overgrow's chest. The flower's head fell to the ground and a small purple butterfly flew free.
Jumping forwards she released her Yo-Yo, not even paying attention to Overgrow recovering from his Akumisation and flew it up in the air catching the Akuma, "Time to De-evilise" The evil energy drained from the butterfly and Marinette started to relax as she released the butterfly, too tired to deal with her normal, bye bye little butterfly and instead helped Mr Trica to his feet and got him on the actual ground
Adrian coughed and said, "You forgetting something, Bugaboo?" She sighed putting her hand out for a fist bump and he rolled his eyes "Not that Mi'lady Your lucky charm" Her eyes widened as she realised and he handed it back to her. She quickly undid all the damage that had been caused then put her hand out. Adrian did the same and they knocked knuckles as they said "Pound it."
Chat Noir turned to face her "Are you okay?" She shook her head and he opened her arms to allow his best friend to hug him as tears escaped her eyes "I miss him" Him referring to Harry. Adrian rubbed her back and said "I know you do, I miss HER too. And I know Felix misses THEM. But we've got to let them find their own path sometimes right?"
Marinette chuckled through her sob and said "You've been spending too much time with Lucia." Adrian grinned "She's a great person to hang with if you need some advice" Marinette just nodded into his chest "There's a reason I married her. But you're right…I'm just worried about him…them. I'm worried about all of them and what Dumbledore might try."
The two separated and Adrian put his hands on her shoulders which was a bit difficult because she was about a head taller than him and said "Listen, those kids of ours. They've had some amazing parents between you and Luka, Alya and myself, and Felix and Kagami. They know how to look after themselves and each other. Plus they have their Kwami's and Miraculous! They're going to be fine. Now let's go home. It's been a long day and I think we both need to see our other partners."
Marinette smiled as she wiped away the tears "See you in the morning Chat. Sleep well." Adrian barely had time to respond before she started hopping away but he said anyway "Sleep well Bugaboo."
Great Hall, Hogwarts, Near Dalmellington, Scotland ~ The Same night
Laura stared at the Headmaster of Hogwarts intensely, he didn't seem as impressive as they said in the history books, he just looked like some old Wizard who was near the end of his days, But in the back of her head there was the nagging voice saying "but even your Dad and Aunt Marinette are worried about him and they aren't even too worried about Hawk Moth."
That side of her brain was keeping her on edge, especially seeing as that blond-haired Girl seemed to know that Harry was born a Potter here in Britain, even if she did say that she would keep it a secret; if she knew what was there to stop the apparent smartest Wizard in Britain from also figuring it out and trapping Harry. No, she couldn't let that Happen!
She listened to Furttive snoozing in her Pocket and she felt her body start to relax, She couldn't get over how much her Kwami liked to sleep, but at the same time she loved sleeping too. If it wasn't for her family, she would probably sleep in every day of the week regardless of School.
It was only when she felt the stare of the blond girl over at the Green and Silver table did she realise that she had tuned out of what the Hogwarts headmaster was saying; not that she really cared as she knew that Madmam Maxine would catch everyone up on it with only the important details at the end. Instead, she chose to study the girl at the other table. Harry was absolutely correct in saying it was the Girl that she had a make-out session with at the world cup a couple of months ago. She was 90% sure the other girl was trying to work out if it was her or not. Laura could help but this how pretty the other girl looked even in those horrendous robes. Clearly, she was in her right mind during the world cup.
But her mind was going blank on the name of the girl, she remembered it began with D….was it Daisy….no that wasn't it. Before she could get lost in her thoughts anymore the other girl's stoic face lit up and she winked at Laura which made Laura freeze and her entire body freeze up. Across from her she heard Léa sigh and kick her shin to restart her brain "Earth to Laura. You might want to pay attention again."
Laura turned to face the front of the hall just as a giant goblet appeared at the Bottom of the stairs; which led up to the Teachers. Headmaster Dumbledore pulled out his wand and turned off all the candles in the Hall before silently igniting the Goblet with blue flames which lit the room in a warm yet ominous blue light, Dumbledore called out loudly "The Triwizard Tournament Officially begins"
There was clearly more that he needed to say but he was waiting for people to stop clapping before he said anything else, which Laura really wish he didn't because those people were really annoying her already. Seriously they don't need to clap for 5 minutes straight people! It's not like someone won the lottery!
Eventually, Dumbledore spoke up again and said "HOWEVER, Only students over the age of 17 can enter their names into the tournament, To ensure this we are putting an age barrier up, I advise anybody below the set age doesn't try anything. Mr Crouch if you would." An old grumpy man walked over to the Goblet with a piece of white chalk in hand and circled the entire Goblet with the chalk. He then entered what Laura recognised as runes inside the circle. He then Finished with one facing the student body and tapped it. A White barrier appeared around the Goblet before fading away but Laura could feel the magic radiating from it.
While that should sound and look reassuring as it should mean Harry's name can't be entered it wasn't; Not for Laura anyway. For example one of the Teachers could put his name into the goblet seeing as they are all well over the age of 17. No, it was too risky they would have to trust that his parents and their Uncle Felix's plan would work and that if his name did come out that it couldn't bind him to this tournament.
Laura could see a bunch of students around her get excited, she could even see Fleur get really excited but she wasn't too interested in the Tournament, she just wanted to go to another country with her best friends for a while. Shaking herself from her thoughts, she tuned into Dumbledore's speech once more as he said "Now let the tournament begin" Cheering started but she just rolled her eyes and turned to face Harry who looked bored; he wanted to go flying.
They were all told that they were dismissed and free to explore or enter their names into the cup as long as they were over 17 years old. As soon as they could Fleur, her two best friends Jack and Solé, along with one of the other idiot seventh years stood up and started to make their way over to the cup with their names written on pieces of paper.
Fleur went first and cast her paper into the flames making them grow before shrinking again. Then Jack placed his name in followed by the two making the flames go shooting up into the roof before falling, nobody else from Beuxbotons was entering tonight.
Somebody from Hogwarts Yellow and Black table stood up and the entire table started cheering as he so dramatically dropped the slip of paper into the flames. The flames accepted it and he sat down back at his table. Laura would roll her eyes but that would come with the next person to stand up and do it; the oh-so-famous Victor Krum. The star quidditch Player stood up, a small torn piece of napkin in his hands and he marched forwards towards the cup and threw his name into its flames before several other Durmstrang students followed his example
After a while Fleur stood up to leave; it was time for them to go, and it was time for Harry to transform and fly. Hopefully, she could get to know some of the Hogwarts students tomorrow, maybe even reintroduce herself to that blond-haired girl from the world cup…if she could stop blushing every time she looked at her.
The entire school made their way back outside to where the carriages had been parked but before everyone scattered, Miss Bourgies said "Now everyone, Madam Maxine has given you some strict guidelines for you to follow. First of all, nobody is allowed outside of their room past 11, second of all you are to be up by 7 in the morning, and last but not least no Students from Hogwarts and especially Drumstrang are to be in your rooms without permission from myself or Madam Maxine. Other than that, you're free to enjoy yourselves"
Everyone nodded and started to make their way into the carriages, Fleur gave the two of us a look as 'Fine you can transform, but stay hidden, be back soon though' thank god she knew about the Miraculous otherwise they would never be able to go out and transform and Harry would be all angsty all night over being on the ground.
The trio waited for everyone to vanish into their compartments with Percy waving them goodnight, saying something about needing to talk to his girlfriend Thalia who wasn't going to be able to join them for this first week.
Once they were certain everybody was gone, Léa said, "Harry Go!" Harry nodded and said in a whisper "Rapidde, Sonic Humm" In a flash of light he changed into his Hero form. He had Black Boots that went into rufous-red leather trousers and torso however right beneath his next was a plume of blue feathers. Both arms were covered in the red colouring but his underarms had small feathers that allowed him to glide. On his back, he had a pair of wings that stretched out at least a meter wide on either side. Both Wings and feathers were coloured red on the front with blue on the back. His mask was like an old masquerade mask that had been cut in half, almost only being a domino mask. However, his nose was covered by a back beak that reminded Laura of a character she was in one of Léa's RPGs…Persona 5 she thinks it was.
She shook her head as she heard Humming Bolt say "Speed Demon" And shoot into the sky at fast speeds, His wings fully stretched out as he raced around the sky at breakneck speeds. Laura and Léa looked around to make sure nobody would notice them when Laura realised that Miss Bourgies was sitting outside her cabin, staring at Harry with a small smile on her face. The Woman noticed Laura staring and smiled at her before putting a finger to her mouth to say shhh.
Dumbledore was fuming, The damn brat wasn't with Beuxbatons or Durmstrang...This wasn't looking good! He should have been with one of the schools but Albus couldn't find a mention of him outside of the books or even a glance of his appearance in any of their minds, well at least the minds that weren't protected by basic mental protection. Curse the rest of Europe for dealing with problems more whether it is in their physical defence training or in their mental Defences, they were far more advanced than his students. Why couldn't they have just kept their students completely dumb and easy to mould for the future like his Hogwarts students?!
At this rate, Harry must have been left at whatever school he went to; with a completely different name and appearance so the students didn't recognise him. Of course, dumbledore wished he had been brought here with the students who were already here but oh well, The Goblet would still work when it through his name out tomorrow evening. As whoever took young Harr never officially changed his name by Ministry or ICW standards which meant that his magic was still connected to that name.
Yes...tomorrow he would have Harry Potter back in his Grasp and everything would be back on track once again.
~The next day~
When woke up the next morning, he yawned loudly, and pushed himself up in his bed; his muscles aching from lying in the same position the entire night, which was slumped over, head on the pillow, back arching and knee's on the bed position. How he did it; he had no idea.
Reaching for his phone he looked at the time and groaned, they still had half an hour before they were supposed to be up. He guessed he should probably go and make sure the other two were awake before going for a shower. He had been working out quite hard the night before after his little flight and he did not need an enhanced sense of smell to tell that he was reeking.
Standing up slowly he made his way over to his drawers and pulled out what he was going to wear today and a Towel and made my way to the bathroom that was at the back of the compartment. He placed everything down and walked out and went over to the girl's room on the other side of their compartment. He knew what his cousins had been so wearing last night so he wasn't too worried about walking into something that he shouldn't see.
When he entered, he saw Laura curled up with her Duvet wrapped around her. Her reddish-brown hair was even messier than normal and she was drooling slightly on her pillow. Crouching down he shook her slightly and said "Laura, Time to get up cuz."
She groaned and he shook her again which made her eyes open and she said "I want to sleep some more Harry, leave me alone" She tried to close her eyes again so I told her, "It's 6:30 you know" That made her eyes snap open and she groaned and said, "Fine I'll get up."
He smirked "Can you wake up Léa for me, I want to grab a quick shower." She nodded but before anything could escape her mouth, his other cousin grumbled "I'm already awake, now do you have to be so loud." Harry rolled his eyes but left their room to grab his shower.
A few minutes later, he stepped out of the shower nice and clean, pulled on fresh clothes for the day and brushed his teeth before Laura began knocking on the door and yelling "I hope you're almost done there". Harry spat out his toothpaste and washed his face shaking it dry and grabbing his comb, unlocking the door as he picked up my dirty washing and his wet towel.
Laura pushed past him as soon as he unlocked the door and before he even had a chance to close the door after himself she started stripping down. He closed the door walked to his room to look in his mirror and started combing his hair which was sticking up 5 ways to yesterday.
Tying his hair back he was happy with how neat he had gotten his hair today instead of the dreaded Potter messy. Placing the comb down he picked up his glasses and placed them on, making everything come back into focus. Contacts had been great yesterday but he had also worn them for most of the day and they had started to get uncomfortable. He needed his normal specs today.
Being around the Miraculous all his life had improved his eyesight a bit so he could see some things with my glasses/Contacts off. Through the mirror, he noticed that Léa was reading one of those 'Harry Potter' fairytale books which were written about his 'childhood' adventures, which made him glad he didn't have those Half-moon glasses.
Grabbing his phone and Wand from the counter, he placed them in his pocket and holster which forced him to adjust his clothes so he could easily reach both of them. He walked out into the living area and sat down next to Léa who put the book down "Y'know this book is just stupid, they really think a 9-year-old can take on a dragon. Not even a fully grown wizard could do that."
Just as Harry was about to respond, the door to the bathroom opened up and Léa looked up and said calmly "Laura, remember what Madam Maxine told us before? We have to stay warm plus we don't want the conservative wizards to blow their brain cells on the first day. Save that for day 2. But that means no tank top." Harry turned to face Laura who was walking out with a brush in hand trying to straighten out her hair. She was wearing a black Tank top and a pair of denim shorts which was fairly standard for her to wear when they were back home. Laura just rolled her eyes and went into the bedroom to get changed.
Harry just turned to Léa and said "U bet you're glad you shower at night." She grinned like the Cheshire cat, "Oh yes.".
They waited for about 5 minutes before Laura finished changing into a pair of Jeans and a T-shirt with a winking Black Cat on it and said "Is this okay léa?" their cousin smirked "Now that's perfect. Now let's go already" The three of them left the compartment and then the carriage to see Fleur doing a register of everyone and she looked up at the three of them rolling her eyes as she did so "And Of course, the rest of my family are the last ones. Miss Bourgies, could you please give this register to Madam Maxine." The older woman approached Fleur and said "Of course, now go and enjoy breakfast all of you."
The entire school started to make their way up to the Castle to have their breakfast. When they arrived at the 'Great Hall', they made their way over to the table in blue and silver like they had the previous evening. Harry and his two cousins managed to find Luna once more and sat down across from her, without looking up she said "Morning Harry, Laura, Léa" The three of them looked between each other bewildered at how the girl knew it was them without looking up. They hadn't even spoken yet.
They all said good morning to her before she finally looked up and started saying, "It seems like Miss Davis and Greengrass are interested in the two of you…and Laura it seems you've already been interested in Miss Greengrass." Laura flushed red but Harry Looked behind Luna to see the two girls from last night sitting there. The one with Hazel eyes that had enticed him the night before smiled at him as he looked along with a small smile so he returned that, while the blond one actually waved at him before smiling at Laura and winking at her. Instead of going as red as a tomato, however, Laura smiled at her and lipped something at her which made the blond head go redder than it should have been possible.
Ignoring…that, Harry Looked back to face Luna and asked "So what are all of these different colours on the tables representing" She looked up and said, "The Colors of this table represent Ravenclaw house where Ravenclaw students usually sit and have to sit during Special feasts." She then pointed backwards "The Table Miss Davis and Greengrass sit at is the Slytherin House table, the one in gold and red behind you is Gryffindor House and the final one is Hufflepuff house with the colours of yellow and black"
Ah, so the colours represented the school's different houses, that made some sense. At Beauxbatons, while they had schoolhouses, they were just superficial and didn't do anything other than be a competition for house points…which gave you an extra feast at the end of the year. But if Hogwarts sat in houses for meals then they probably were in classes with people from those houses as well while those at Beuaxbotons just took the class with anybody in our year."
Harry grabbed a piece of toast and nodded at Luna as he spread butter across it and start to eat it when he was immediately interrupted by a cough. Harry sighed and turned and was met by the kid with the flaming red hair. Now that he was up close Harry could see the freckles on his face, the food stain on his tie and his messy robes, this was the kid who was staring at Laura yesterday who had also freaked Harry out.
Harry saw Laura turn around out of the corner of his eye but he asked with a sigh "Can I help you?" The red-headed kid had a cocky smirk on his face and he spoke in a rude voice "The Name's Ronald Weasley, Now I've heard a rumour that my future best mate Harry Potter went to your school." Harry raised his eyebrow "Harry, who? Sorry Mr Weasley but I think you must be confused. Harry Potter is a British wizard is he not? Surely he must be here at Hogwarts?"
The other kid's face scrunched up annoyed but he then relaxed "You must just be hiding him, but oh well. Our friendship will show everyone why Harry Potter and Ron Weasley are best friends. Now, hello pretty ladies, would you come on a date wi-." While staring at Léa, he placed a hand firmly on Laura's shoulder who immediately tensed up.
The action was swift and if Harry wasn't used to seeing such speeds, he would think that Laura had super speed. But he watched as her elbow went crashing back towards mr weasley. Her Elbow crashed into his crotch before returning to her side where she continued her cereal. He went silent, breaking off mid-sentence as the pain in his private area registered. He fell to the cold floor, his hand reaching for the pain. A silent scream escaped his mouth.
From behind him a girl about their age approached with a sigh, she had bushy brown hair and hazel hair. She actually looked like their friend Hazel. He grabbed his arm, "Honestly Ronald, you are so rude to other people, it's a miracle you haven't been punched before now. Miss, Mr, I apologise about my friend's behaviour." Before pulling him away towards the table of Gold and Bronze, what did Luna call it…Gryffindor?
Harry chuckled as he returned to his toast which had gotten cold and groaned. Grabbing another slice and quickly buttering it before it could vanish again. As he was in the middle of eating his new piece of toast, Luna said "When your secret is revealed, he will cause a lot of trouble for you all" Harry looked at Léa who raised her eyebrow and gave him a look that said, "What was it with this girl and being cryptic?"
After breakfast, a couple of Hogwarts students made their way to the Cup and threw their names into the Goblet. The hall started to quiet down as the Hogwarts students went back to their rooms to grab the book they would need for their morning classes until there were very few people left in the hall; The two girls from the 'Slytherin' Table stood up and started walking across to them and Harry heard Laura groan as she realised she wasn't going to be able to avoid this conversation any longer.
The pair of Hogwarts students reached them and the cheerful one said, "Hi there, it's nice to meet youse again….at least I think it's again. I'm Tracey, and this is my best friend, Daphne, you're 4th years' aren't you?"
Harry nodded realising that Laura was currently in no condition to speak and said, "It's nice to meet you again Tracey, Daphne; Properly I mean. I'm Harry Depain-Cheng Couffaine, and this is my cousinsLéa Declour and Laura Césaire, who I'm sure you are already very familiar with Daphne." He stood up and shook Tracey's hand as Daphne said through a bright blush "Your last name sounds Chinese?"
Harry nodded and said, "One of my mums is half-Chinese." They nodded and Tracey piped up "We were wondering if you would like to join us in going to one of our classes, Dumbledore said you're allowed to sit in on them" That's when Laura decided to finally speak although quietly, "I think….think we would like that." Léa sighed and stood up "We would but I can't, I already agreed to go with our friend Percy. So I'll see you guys in a bit." Before getting up and leaving
Then Daphne said to Laura "Nice job with Weasley by the way, I've never seen him shut up so quickly" Laura grinned through her blush and said "Shutting up boys who want to ask me out is my speciality. They haven't quite learnt that I'm not into them yet" Daphne's winked at her and Laura's blush went back up to the max.
Laura stood up and got away from the bench, and joined her cousin in following Tracey and Daphne towards the 'Defence' classroom. When they entered the room there was a man with long greasy blond hair and a fake eye standing at the other end of the classroom studying them. Immediately Rapidde whispered "I don't trust him" Harry was getting a bad feeling from the man too, but as the two Hogwarts students approached the teacher, He and Laura moved forward too, although their Kawami's were trying to fly away from him...inside of their pockets.
Daphne said quietly "Professor Moody, this is Harry and Laura from Beauxbatons they want to sit in on your class" The Professor pointed towards the back of the classroom and grumpily said "Sit back there and do not disturb my lesson"
They all nodded and made their way to the back of the classroom bored, Laura sat at one corner table. With Daphne next to her, the gap between her and Tracey and then me in the other Corner.
That's when Daphne asked, "So how have things been for youse since the Quidditch World Cup? Meet anyone else to snog yet Laura?"
Harry burst out laughing as he saw Laura go so red that she might pop but his mind started to drift back to the world cup.
A Random Field in Yorkshire, England ~ 3 Months ago
Harry very much hated Portkeys, and he wished whoever had created them a very painful death if they hadn't already kicked the bucket. He started to peel himself from the ground slowly, every muscle aching from the fall to the ground. He was wondering when why he had more trouble than normal getting up when he heard a groan from above him, that's right Jade had fallen on him. How could his back ever let him forget?
He rolled to the side slightly and his sister fell to the ground and cursed his name before picking herself up from the ground. Without the added weight of his younger sister, Harry was able to push himself off the ground and saw that his cousins were already back on their feet and getting the Grass out of them while his Uncle Felix and Aunt Kagami were calmly sitting under a tree drinking some hot tea that they had brought. Of course, he and his sister were the last ones to get up.
His aunt and Uncle finished their drink and put the canister cup back on the canister and he said amused "If you're all done falling on top of each other we've got a bit of a walk to go and we don't want to be late for the cup. The group of 9 started to make their way down the large hill, as they slowly approached, Harry could see various groups of Wizards and Witches from all across the globe forming around them all using their own portkeys.
As they walked Jade and Gabrielle were talking about a girl in their year who had almost blown her head off during their last exams. Fleur had stormed off ahead having argued with her parents, while her uncle and aunt were enjoying the stroll. Harry was making small chatter with his two other cousins but he was more so looking forwards to seeing all the quidditch players, and there was the only thing on his mind at that point.
The group eventually made it to a stall which had a very bored man at it, who was drumming his fingers on the table, the man perked up when he saw them and said "Ah, How can I help you?" Uncle Felix Stepped forwards "We have tickets for the World Cup. We should have a camping spot under the Declouer name" The man went through his list of names and finally said "Ah right here you are. Your Spot 10 is on Row B, Very close to the stadium. If you go straight ahead you should see the space. Come back and see me if you have any trouble." Before going back to looking bored.
Uncle Felix signalled for everyone to follow them and Harry was amazed by how disorganised everything was. There were masses of things lying out on the path that made it a minefield that they all had to hop over to get to the tier site. It ended up taking them nearly 20 minutes to get there but they finally did. The Ginat Stadium right in front of them made Harry whistle. He had never seen an outdoor Quidditch arena like this one before and it was massive!
His Aunt Kagami tapped him on the shoulder "Could you all help us set up the tent for 10 minutes before you go off and explore, please? The entire family groaned but agreed, grabbing the pegs and metal frame and putting the new tent they had just bought from Stoll's expansive camping. It took them just over 10 minutes to get everything set up but once they were, the tent was secure and inside was quadruple the size. Split into adults and Kids. Which meant he was going to be sharing a room with his 6 female cousins. Then again it was either them or his younger male cousins who drove him insane…so he guessed he got a decent end of the stick.
Once everyone packed away, the groups headed off in their separate way. Harry was exploring the different Quidditch supplies stalls, keeping his hands on his gallons just in case he wanted to buy something when two boys with fiery red hair approached him. "Hello my good sir, we noticed that you seemed interested in the betting Poole." One of the redheads said Harry had to assume they were twins with how similar they looked. The Other then said "Well, Don't trust those bets, they are completely wrong. You should go with our bets. We are 90% accurate."
Harry rolled his eyes and he said "Zis one Gallon enough for Ze" His French accent came out strong compared to their English, the two were taken aback by the fact he was French and they responded together in perfect Harmony "Oh you're French. Well, one Shilling will be enough." Harry shrugged his shoulders and passed over a shilling "One to Zi Irish. Zis Bulgarians will grab the snitch but be too far behind point-wise to win" The Boys nodded and wrote it down and asked him what tent he was in so that they either give him some earnings or take his shilling after the game.
They then glanced between themselves and one asked "Say, how do you like pranks?" Harry shrugged his shoulders once more and Pulled out his want to cast the translation spell, realising that it would probably make things easier "I enjoy them from time to time." The boys grinned, and the other asked "How would you like to buy some from us?" Harry titled his head intrigued and was about to ask for their stock when a beautiful voice rang out "Oi, Fred, George. You Still haven't given me that bludger Sting that I ordered in June. Don't go selling things to others when you haven't completed your orders!"
The two froze and turned around to face the owner of the voice. Harry was immediately gobsmacked by the owner of the voice, A Girl about the same age as him with long mousy-brown hair mid-way down her back that curled at the bottom, with stunning hazel eyes that Harry found himself lost in. The Two redheads turned to face her and said "Miss Davies….We will have your order ready for September….what you and the Ice Queen have asked for is a deeply complex prank."
The girl, Miss Davies they called her glared "You know why we need them though. Last year was too-" The Twins interrupted her, sad "We know Tracey. That's why we haven't cancelled it. What almost happened to the two of you can't be allowed to happen again. If it's not done by the end of the summer the two of us will act as your bodyguards."The Girl sighed "Fine but still please continue work on it." The two saluted and lurked away.
Tracey rolled her eyes at Fred and George as they slumped away, she loved the pair of them but she really needed that order in. What had happened to Daphne in May was too close and if it hadn't been for the Weasley twins she would probably be dead or in St Mungo's now. She approached the boy they had been talking to and said "Hi there, sorry about them. The Weasley Twins mean well but they sometimes get too caught up in their schemes."
As she got closer to him, she appreciated how good-looking he was. He wasn't overly muscular but he had an athletic build similar to many Quidditch players and muggle runners. He was only a small bit taller than her and had beautiful bluebell eyes. He had Black hair that could almost be confused for a dark blue with the way the sun hit it and the edges of his hair were dyed Cyan and Amythest. Tracey very much thought he was handsome. To distract herself she pinched her inner arm and winced at the pain but it brought her back to reality.
The boy smiled "Zi it's quite-" He stopped pulled out his wand and reused the translation spell which Tracey only recognised because Rodger had used it a couple of years prior when he brought a German girl home with him for the summer. "Sorry about that, Forgot to give the translation spell a powerful kick. It's quite alright. They were actually being quite friendly,"
Tracey brushed her hair to the side and said "That's good. I'm Tracey, nice to meet you" Harry smiled "Nice to meet you, Tracey, I'm Harry. So are you a fan of Quidditch or just here for the ride?" She chuckled and said "I enjoy it but not enough to spend money to see the matches. I'm here because my best friend and older brother adore it. What about you?"
Harry stretched his arms out showing Tracey his muscle and Tracey could feel her face light up a little as he answered "I love playing it…watching on the other hand is a bit of a bore. However, my little sister and one of my cousins are obsessed with it. So here I am" Tracey giggled "Well at least I'm not the only one here because of family. Whereabouts are you staying."
Harry pointed to the general location and Tracey's eyes lit up. He was staying near her oh this was great!" The two of them started walking back to their respective campsites making small talk when Harry checked his watch and cursed "Sorry, My uncle wants me back for 5 for dinner and I need to find-" He stopped mid-sentence as Tracey came to a stop next to a little side bit and saw none other than the Hufflepuff sweetheart Cedric Diggoery speaking to two others.
Harry's eyes widened as he said "Well there's one of them, FLEUR! DINNER IN 5 MINUTES!" A blonde-haired girl who looked to be a few years older than Harry turned around a rolled her eyes and said something to him in French. Before turning to the 3rd person in the group who was wearing a Bulgarian Quidditch Jersey. She watched as Harry studied him and his eyes lit up "Oh that's Viktor Krum, that's cool."
She wondered what those three were doing together and why did it seem like they were having an argument. They started walking again and Tracey wondered where her best friend was, she had sort of just vanished after they had helped Mrs Greengrass set up the tent.
The two of them reached their row, they got ready to say goodbye when someone burst out of the tent that Harry was staying in and Mrs Greengrass poked her head up from the stew she was making, both saying "Harry/Tracey! There you are! I've been wondering where you've been." The duo sighed but both Adults seemed to perk up and Tracey watched as Mrs Greengrass slowly approached the Man Harry was with who himself had started to approach Mrs Greengrass.
The two almost got in each other's faces before they said "Oh my Merlin, Roxanne/Felix is that you?" The two grinned and still in unison said "It is you!" The two of them hugged and Mrs Greengrass said to the man called Felix, "It's been too long Felix. Where the hell have you been for the past 17 Years?!"
Felix chuckled rubbing his neck "It has been too long Roxxie, as for where I've been. I live in Paris now with my amazing wife and 3 beautiful daughters. Are you still with-" Before he could even finish, a very stern man popped out of the Greengrass's tent and Tracey felt sick; he had made it after all then?
Felix sighed "Cyrus, I'm glad to see you're still….breathing all these years later." The man just grunted and said, "Fatom, I'm surprised you're not dead." At that moment a woman stepped out of Harry's tent and asked gently "Felix, what's taking you so lo- Oh my god, Roxanne Chapel, is that you?!"
The woman smiled "Oh my god Kagami, you look so well. You actually managed to stay with this stubborn idiot for nearly 20 years?" Felix rolled his eyes while the two women caught up briefly. A few minutes later the two groups separated for dinner before the big cup.
Later that Night
Harry grinned as the twins handed him the money at the entrance of the tent. Winning him nearly 50 Gallons "You were spot on! How did you guess" Harry joined them outside the tent and started discussing how he had correctly guessed based on both teams' previous plays along with what he would have done if he was Krum. They were soon joined by Tracey who was fed up with trying to sleep and had heard them outside.
The four walked around for a while, Harry just listening to three British people talking about the previous year at Hogwarts. He definitely didn't have a mass murder escaping on his list of things happening in his birth country. Harry looked at his watch and was taken aback as he realised the time, it was nearly one in the morning. He hadn't seen Laura in a while, he was a bit worried. Obviously, she knew how to look after herself but still, who knew what drunken Wizards might try?
He brought this up to the little group that they were with and they agreed to help him have a look around especially as Tracey's friend had also gone for a walk before she left and not yet returned. They looked around the stadium not seeing any sign until Harry saw a familiar reddish-brown hair interlocked with blond hair that matched the woman his Uncle Felix was happy to see. Her daughter maybe?"
Tracey called out "Daphne" but the two didn't react when suddenly a Krakrakra-BOOOM echoed across the entire field before a mass of smoke erupted from the muggle house at the end of the field. Soon more smoke started to appear along with the fire. Screams could be heard across the campsite. The two lovebirds separated and Laura gasped "What the hell is that?!
Suddenly a cloaked figure with a skull-like mask appeared before them "looks like there are some half-blood scum and blood traitors out past their bedtime. Maybe it's time they learnt their lesson "Stupefy!" Before the wizard was even halfway through his sentence, Harry had already grabbed his wand from his holster and flipped it into position and rushed "Protego!" a Shield shot from his wand in seconds and stopped the attack which made the man growl, and for a few brief seconds, Harry could have sworn he saw a purple butterfly appear. However, before anything else could happen. His uncle Felix -untransformed!- came crashing by kicking the man in the side.
"Harry, Laura, Are you okay?!" The two of them nodded and he yelled "Roxanne they are over here!" Harry dropped the Protego and Uncle Felix more serious than he had ever seen him said "Harry, Laura. Your aunt Kagami has opened up the emergency portkey. Get to the tent now. Roxanne, grab your girls and get yourself out of here too! Youse two…you stick with me until we can find your family!"
They nodded nervously and everyone started rushing off. Harry and Laura reached where their tent was but instead, it was just an empty slot with their Aunt casting her magic on a portkey with Fleur guardian her, Jade and Gabrielle. Fleur's eyes widened as she saw them and she asked "Where the hell have you two been?!" Laura blushed while Harry said "On a walk" looking at Tracey making sure her friend who Laura had been snogging was okay.
His aunt sighed and said "Fleur, don't start at them. Just be glad they're okay. Now everyone grab ahold. They did as they were told until Léa realised her mum wasn't holding on, and she asked Mum, where's dad? And why aren't you holding on." Harry's aunt smiled "Sorry Kids. People are in danger, so the two of us have a job to do." The portkey started as we heard her yell "Longg, Bring the Storm!"
The next thing any of them saw was the Declour Dininghall table as they crashed into it. Harry lost consciousness as he hit his head against one of the chairs but in the second before he was gone, he couldn't help but wish he had found out a way to contact that girl tra-and what about his Aunt and Uncle, were they going to be okay?
Present Day~
It was only when other people started drifting into the room that Harry finally snapped back to reality, "Not much I guess. After that chaotic night, I had my fair share of adventure for the year. Same with Laura, and to answer your question Daphne as my cousin won't no she hasn't."
Daphne grinned and Tracey laughed, then something suddenly came to his head "So those redhead twins…they aren't by any chance-" He was cut off by Daphne "Related to one Ronald Weasley, yes they are. Don't worry, their family is weird but they're not. The personalities they had during the cup are just them normally."
He laughed and felt the Defense against the dark arts teacher glare at him but he rolled his eyes. Pulling a bottle of Water out of his side bag he heard Tracey ask "So we never actually got to finish our conversation at the world cup; what's Beauxbaton's like? Is it anything Like Hogwarts?" Taking a sip of his water he said to her "Sort of, or at least the architecture it used to be."
Daphne turned to face him, and asked "What do you mean used to be?" Laura then said "Well recently, must have been about 6 years ago now, the Prime Minister of the French Magical community decided it was time for an updated school to be built in the centre of Paris. He went as far as to go to Muggle Architects who had designed large muggle High Schools to sketch plans up and hired muggles to build the school."
Picking up from where she left off Harry said "Those muggles once their job was finished had their memories wiped of who they built the school for and we placed the Fidelius Charm on the school. When you get accepted into Beauxbatons you are given the Location. We then moved out of the old castle we were using and into the new modern one which is so much warmer."
Tracey hummed and said, "Huh why have we never done that?" Laura laughed and said, "Oh that's easy Britain is really behind on keeping up with the world around them in both worlds but especially the magical one. It's bad"
Before Daphne could respond, Professor Moody began the class by yelling out "Good Afternoon Students, Today we will be reviewing the Imperius Curse, can anybody tell me anything about the curse?"
Harry listened to him and he was quite a good teacher, the only problem was that at Beauxbatons they had gone over the three unforgivable when they were in their second year. They were told how to use them and how to avoid using the emotions required to use them and how to defend themselves from them.
Suddenly the Professor called out 'Imperio'. The spell went flying straight towards Laura who had completely tuned out of what he was saying. Within seconds of hearing the first Syllable, however, Laura had already flipped her desk so it was on its side, gotten behind it and grabbed her wand from her holster to pull the wooden floor up to create a stronger wooden shield to stop the spell.
The British wizards and witches had apparently never realised this but it was only magical Shields that the curses could go through...so If you created a Physical wall then you would have something to deflect it with. The Professor said, "Very well done Miss Laura, see students this is how you react when you hear the unforgivable curses, you move swiftly and you will survive."
So he was using that as a lesson, okay that's not terrible but still not amazing attacking a foreign student like that; he then said "Before the end of class I would like to remind you all of this. The Unfogivables require a lot of power, raw hatred and intent to use on another Human or magical being. This holds especially true for the killing curse and The Crutacious curse, so users are required to say the incantation of the spell which means you have roughly 5 seconds from the start of them saying it to defend yourself! Got that?!" There were a lot of nods and everyone left.
When we got outside Daphne said, "Look we have plenty of free time, do you guys want to hang out at the Lake" Both Harry and Laura nodded madly and they start to make our way there the two of us following the two of them, Laura trying to avoid checking out daphne. The two of them were definitely going to be something by the end of the month at the very least.
A/N So we've got our first completely new section (aside from giving Chloé a bigger role), I'm really happy with this chapter, especially having Harry, Tracey, Laura and Daphne meet each other earlier much earlier than in the original story.
Also, the reason I'm rewriting Miraculous Harry despite it being the first story that I completed, is that I just wasn't happy with it anymore between my terrible spelling, grammar and Punctuation (Thanks Grammarly; you're improving my writing and not crashing my computer now), The way my writing style has changed over the past two years and just what we've learnt from the show in the past couple years, especially over s5...yeah this season has been a rollercoaster of story and lore. I also realised when writing this chapter that I had somehow managed to forget to write any scenes with Fred and George in the original story...so yeah that's been corrected
