Soyanami may never be revealed as to who she was to Drift in the past, just putting that out there. It technically has nothing to do with this chapter.

"Guys! I think Solar's in trouble, and I mean big trouble!" She shouted over her comm. link.

Nothing but static.

She was about to curse when she heard someone, "Hey, what are you talking about?" A red 'bot asked, walking around a pile of toasters.

"You really haven't heard?" Lunarflare turned to the bot, "Solarburst has been kidnapped and- because we're twins I'm guessing- she mentally told me that she needs help. Doesn't that spell disaster so bad, someone's gonna die?"

He whistled, "That bad, huh? Ah- well, I'm Sideswipe. I'm guessing saving your twin is where the rest of the team is, no wonder I haven't seen Bee."

...

The search team rounded another corner, following the little paint flecks here-and-there.

"Uh, where's Jetstorm?" Grimlock asked, bumping his tail into a wall.

"Undeployed." Drift replied. "It is not safe for him to be out currently."

Strongarm ordered them to be quiet, tilting her head as if her audio-receptors caught something. She pointed to the right wall, "I hear something coming from there, could be the missing minicon."

They took the next right turn, looking at every door, open or not. The corridor ended quickly in wide double doors. Strongarm glanced at the others before whispering to Grimlock, "Can you break it down?"

"I think." The big green-and-black dinobot replied, getting ready to knock the doors down with his tail. He swung his tail into the double doors, breaking them completely and creating a deafening echo.

"Okay, stealth is no longer." Strongarm said.

The room was pitch black- literally-, one could even say darker than night itself. Drift stepped forward when everyone else hesitated, saying,

"We are here on a mission- a rescue one to be precise-, and if Solarburst is indeed in the hands of an unpredictable entity, who knows what could happen." He flashed his lights, hoping that it would cut thru the inky blackness around, but to no avail. The darkness seemed to swallow up the light.

"I know, but-" Strongarm was interrupted by an incoming distress call from Sideswipe. "What is it Sideswipe?" She asked, wondering what mess he'd gotten into this time.

"Lunarflare has a message she needs to pass on thru me because her comm. link. isn't working." He replied. The voice then switched to a female one, "Solar is in worse danger than I- than we thought, don't ask me how, but everyone there may-" Strongarm stepped into the room and the comm. link randomly cut itself off.

May what? She thought, walking cautiously thru the room of black.
