Pokemon who were abandon by their trainers, are being given to Ash ketchum, a 14 year old who is just starting his pokemon journey! Can he get them to trust him and become close friends to another on his quest?

28. Chapter 28

Authors Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon. Hey everyone another chapter done and another update to go through. Nothing much to say but this Chapter, I have been building up for a good long while which would've correlate with the missing Nightmare Tower chapter.

But since I was able to get some explanation of the chapter done with Ash and Gary. Then fill in bit more of the gap with previous chapter, and then this one of why. Why it is bothering Ash so much and why it is, he has been acting strangely about it. Which I know lot of you are wondering why it seems to bother Ash a lot, along with his personality is slowly changing.

Well this chapter alone is the build up I was making, considering this is a huge Character development for the boy and so on for the next chapter. All the while a surprise character development in this chapter. So hope you all look forward to it.

Also want to thank those who has been helping me out and giving me suggestions. And those who had gone and help me with bit of, well hard times. Considering things with real life is bit hectic right now. And at a state of mind where was technically giving up a bit. Even about to give up on writing as honestly, couldn't really take any more negativity in my life. And was basically about to literally give up on writing completely.

But yeah thanks to those going the distance and checking on me, I am grateful and thanked them for the help and their concerns. And to those who enjoyed reading the story as well, giving me suggestions and helping out giving ideas to maybe make the story fun and enjoyable. I finally got back my writing mojo again, despite the craziness that's going on and getting back to updating. Especially for this fanfic and hopefully the others as well. So yeah...

There is a lot of emotion in this chapter and well, I honestly projected myself a bit into Ash here to relate, of what I was going through and hope you all enjoy and have fun reading!

Chapter 28: Determine, Devoted, Rekindled Ash!

It has been about three days ever since our young hero, Ash Ketchum; had acquired his fifth gym badge from Erika. In a display of strength and ability to think on the fly. The boy was now heading on over towards Cycling road- course he would need to find a way to get a bike. If he wanted to traverse and get through the long winding bridge.

However today is bit different for the boy. Right before he went and fought Erika, gaining Lilligant as an valuable partner, he had gone and called towards one of the hospitals. Checking up on his friends Leaf and Robert; where he had learned a very hard truth and unsettling news of what transpired in Nightmare tower.

The man who is name Tey, that had gone and kidnapped Leaf and then Ash later- after coming across his friend Robert. Looking frighten and scared of heading back inside the tower, tried and fought against Tey. Only for the deranged man getting the drop on him and Pikachu! By doing a surprise attack on the two and knocking them unconscious, too then be brought to the highest floor of the tower.

Chained and shackle up against the wall, right next to Leaf. And well- the rest was explained. The whole fight Robert and his Pokemon went through, hearing how the boy was left crippled and nearly broken, unable to use his right arm or left leg at all. Yet, still continued fighting Tey alongside his Pokemon partner Eevee.

It bothered the boy and ever since making that call? It began bringing back a memory, a memory he had blocked out ever since he was young. The boy's brown eyes shook lightly as he could hear some screams and frantic scattering of children of said memory. Even some of the comments being made that were towards him. It was on the day of Oak's Pokemon camp trip that everyone saved up for at the academy, a field trip too Oak's lab and Pokemon farm where children will be exposed to seeing Pokemon in their natural habitat.

Closing his eyes and walking along the dirt road towards his next destination. He had both hands cupped inside his jacket pockets, hearing the rustling of the trees and bushes near him. Feeling the soft and warm sun beaming down against his body. Hearing Pikachu and Buneary running about and playing with one another. Using some of the trees to play tag and then squeal out with a hop in their steps- too then darting out into the road. Only for Pikachu, who slide to a stop and stood upright while raising his ears.

Then soften his amber eyes when looking to his trainer. Letting out a low coo of his voice, tilting his head. Having quite a concerning expression with his ears now drooping downward. "Pikapi?" He silently called out to the boy. Making Buneary, who had stop couple distance ahead. Bounce on back to Pikachu and lightly blink her eyes, before facing towards Ash and had curled up both ears and raised a paw to her mouth.

"Buneary?" She cooed out as well, alerting the boy who hummed and lifted his head. Looking towards the two Pokemon who had stop, looking worriedly at him. Which he smiled and waved his right hand towards them gently.

"Don't worry you two I am fine," Ash assured them while beginning to walk between them and passing them. "I just have a lot going on." He stated softly and let out another sigh, before turning his head and grinning widely. "Come on now I am sure we're getting closer to a Pokemon center. How about we go and take a break there and let everyone out huh?" Then turn fully around and walking backwards with spread arms. "No doubt Lilligant will want to meet everyone and those at Oak's lab right!" He said hoping this will get the two Pokemon to not be sad.

It work with Buneary as she giggled and rapidly nodded her head and began chasing Ash. But it did not work with Pikachu, faking a smile and began trotting over towards the two. Stare hard towards his friend and trainer, sensing that there is something wrong. And it was bothering the boy greatly...and he knows when it started too. Running and following Ash and Buneary, Pikachu began going through his thoughts of exactly when his behavior began changing and becoming odd.

It was right after the gym battle and sleeping for the day, all the while Ninetales wanting a reward from the boy that night and wanting to show her love for him. That when they woke up the next day, Pikachu despite being half awake and half asleep. Had watched the boy head out of the room and walking over towards the phones again.

Calling up the hospital and hoping to speak with Leaf again and getting an update of when they be leaving soon. When he came back in the room, Pikachu- well noticed the boy looked to be quite upset and was doing everything from the look of things of not crying... Now he been with Ash ever since leaving Pallet town, and yeah Ash has shed tears here and there. BUT never in a way, that look like he was hurting and even seems to be blaming himself for something that Pikachu, was not sure of.

Though he has a guess it might relate towards whatever questions or conversations he had with Leaf. "There's the Pokemon center!" Ash suddenly called out and chuckled when Pikachu suddenly squeaked and bumped into his leg, before shaking his head and wiggling his nose. Making Buneary to giggle at the electric mouse goofiness, before staring forward.

"Alright I say this will be great place to rest and probably have a small picnic." Smiled Ash towards the two and pumped his arm while shouting quickly, "Race ya!" And began darting right away before the two Pokemon could react. Making Buneary to gasp and threw both bunched ears straight up, before shouting no fair and gave chase towards her trainer!

Pikachu, shook his head and sighs having even more worries flowing through his body. Whining slightly "Pikapi, chuu..." He chanted to himself, wondering what is wrong with Ash. That he is trying to hide those tears back or not wanting to talk about what's bothering him? Well he wouldn't find the answers here and probably will try to get some help, of finding the answers. That is, if the other girls will help him figuring out what's wrong.

"Here you are!"Joy called out from exiting out from the back with the tray of Ash's team, including Pikachu and Buneary. Who hops off the counter and landed onto the carpeted rug. "Your team are all healed up and ready for action." Joy then beamed with a giggle, making Ash who went to retrieve his team, to hum and stop mid-placing one of the Pokeball onto his belt. "You're Ash Ketchum correct?" She asked with a tilt of her head.

Making the young trainer to stare lightly and then nods his head, before standing upright. "I've been a lot of things about you lately from my other sisters and cousins." And giggle out, "Especially what you did for that Flareon back at Glare blitz!" She smiled sweetly, making the boy to get a little blush on his face while rubbing the back of his head.

Getting Buneary and Pikachu to smile proudly, "That was a wonderful thing you did along with your friends. I have no doubt that Pokemon loved the action you took, to saving her from that man." She then grins. "Honestly, I am glad people like you exist and not only that. But the way you care for your Pokemon and doing the right thing for them..." And giggles, "Means a whole lot to know that there are trainers- who are willing to do anything for Pokemon." And then waved bye to him.

Ash couldn't help but laugh and thanked nervously towards Joy. Never expecting her to learn about what he had done for Flareon and saving her from Mike and his treatments to her. Where he felt the ball containing Flareon shake about in agreement to Joy's assessment. He then look down when he saw Buneary and Pikachu grinning up to him, making him to sheepishly look away and lower his cap gently.

"Eheh...did, did not expect something like that to spread to other places or centers." He explained getting couple nods from his Pokemon. Before they could towards the cabin wooden lobby, he was suddenly stop when a by stander- look at him once and then turned away. Before stopping and leaning their upper body back and shouts.

"OH hey! Are you Ash Ketchum!" Shouted the young trainer and began running over towards the boy. Making the raven hair boy to turn and stare at the young boy, who had a young lass walk next to them and pumping their arms at the same time. "We heard that you defeated LT Surge with only Pikachu!" And then look down at the electric mouse, who stopped back and let out a happy chaa when they began petting his head. "Oh my gosh is this him!? The strong Pikachu who defeated not just surge, but also Brock! Way cool!" They both exclaimed and even wen towards Buneary, who was cutely puffing her cheeks.

Wanting some attention and then giggled about when they laughed and began messing with her too! After awhile and getting some autographs from Ash, who felt even more sheepish about this. Waving towards the two Pokemon to continue forward towards the lobby, while hoping to get the girls out from their Pokeball and possibly plan what they will be doing for the rest of the day.

All the while hoping he will have time for himself, though when he released Lucario out and watching her stretching out and yawning loudly, squeaked when she and Ash were suddenly surrounded by surfers and people who look to be ready for the beach. "No way, it's Ash and Carla!" The bigger of the group and looking quite buff approached her and Ash. Before lifting his sun glasses, "Aw man I didn't think I'll ever run into you two-" Then turn over his shoulder, "Guys, this is the Cool Ash and smooth Carla I was telling you about!"

Making Ash and Carla to blink dubiously before looking to one another, which Carla just shrugged and then began freaking out when a larger group. Surrounded them and began chatting and saying how cool it was of them, to saving their favorite restaurant. All the while putting that crazy old hag in her place! Petting the giddy Lucario and laughing when she began leaning forward, when one of them began scratching her chin and then pulled away, laughing when she smiled and blushed embarrassingly at them.

Thus this has been happening throughout the day there at the center. Ash and his team were so recognize and notice-able by everyone and the deeds they've been doing over the course of their journey? They have been somewhat and unintentionally, have become celebrities somehow when arriving to this particular Pokemon center.

It is quite overwhelming Ash thought and it just wouldn't stop, but after awhile and managing to get his main team out. With few more people calling out and congratulating them, too even saying how some of his Pokemon were awesome. Or how strong they are when they made contact to some of the traveling trainers, they previously fought and were told about his strength and abilities.

There were even some who was at the birthday party, where He, Blaziken, Ninetales and Robert pretended to be heroes of a TV show. Congratulating Ninetales and Blaziken on an awesome job, making the two fire types to blush bit embarrassingly, while Blaziken even more so. When even some young kid trainers approached her and began saying how, she could even be stronger the Blaziken hero's own Pokemon Blazer!

Making the tall fighter to step back and began sweating bullets of how to handle this situation. Then deadpan when she felt Ash laughing and patting her back gently, "Wow Blaziken! Looks like you've gotten yourself some-" Only to scream out and had the children laughing when she twist her head and flamethrower his face! So he wouldn't make this even more embarrassing by complementing her!

"Puh...don't embarrass ya, gotcha." Ash groaned out and fell backwards and hit the ground hard. Earning some more chuckles and laughter from the crowd and even snickering out how that is definitely Ash's Blaziken, having the female Pokemon to turn and felt her face turning pinker when one of them said.

"There has been people talking about how a trainers Blaziken, would always burn her trainers face with Flamethrower- never thought to see that in person." Giggled a woman. Then they all hummed and smiled softly when the fire type just shouted at them and throwing her arms straight down! Telling them with a stuttering shut up at them, then leaps towards the tree branches and forest! But the group smiled and laughed a bit, when they saw how Blaziken only went about three trees in, before hiding herself behind one of the trees. Too probably stick close to her trainer and the other Pokemon.

Blaziken who did hid behind the tree and gritting her teeth lightly, while crossing her arms under her chest. Falter the scowl and then began smiling sweetly and having bit of a tears falling down her face, shaking her head and laughing! Laughing at herself and how pathetic she feels of hiding herself from the group and children, what amazed her though is how...how nice everyone is being!? Not a single hint or animosity coming from any of the trainers or adults.

Not only that but apparently she has become somewhat infamous for burning Ash's face. She was honestly worried peopled would think negative about that, but after being explained and how some fire types or even electric type Pokemon? Usually does that action to usually show affection, or find it funny and habit they tend to get into. Making the girl to gently press a hand against her chest and snicker lightly, granted she did it to just keep him away from her or harm him in hopes of getting away.

But faintly remembered now that...she did the exact same thing to her previous trainer as a Torchic. Wondering if because of her constant burning him, had him become very negative to her? Oh well she thought while shaking her head and relaxing against the tree. She will pondered about it another time, right now?

Blaziken will wait till Ash begin making the picnic for everyone and having all the Pokemon to come out and enjoy the food. She will admit, the damn boy knows how to cook and make amazing lunches- that is the only praise she will give him for. He makes wonderful food during their travels.

After finally getting away from the people and last bit, congratulating Gardevoir and Ash for defeating Sabrina but also, bringing the two back to equal terms and help sooth the upset Gym leader about what happened in the past. That it had Gardevoir's face completely red and holding against her face cheeks, trying her best not to look like a clown and giggling from all the positive and happy emotions going throughout her body.

Then calmed herself down after Ash had found a good spot for everyone, nice clear open fields. A giant lake nearby and some patches of flowers here and there- not only that but the hill they were using for a picnic. Had a great view of the Cycling road that they will be arriving tomorrow, that will take them all the way across the southern boarder of Kanto!

"Bun...bun." Chanted Buneary who was curiously and playfully hopping forward just a bit, watching the yellow looking fur and mane of another Pokemon. With the tail playfully wagging left and right, having Buneary reach out with one paw and then squealed out in delight! When Flareon popped her head out with a loud cry of her voice and pounces on top of Buneary!

Wiggling and tickling the rabbit with her nose and then darted away from the girl. When Buneary, who calmed down from her laughter- kicked herself onto her feet and gave chase towards the giddy fire type! Who wiggled her butt at her and then darts away once more, before Buneary could reach her or tag her!

Lilligant, who is new to the team and gotten introduced too everyone. Is happily sitting down and giggling about with Gardevoir and Lopunny. Listening to some of their tales and adventures they had with the boy, all the while poking some fun here and there about how Ash. Can be somewhat naive with certain things, especially when it comes to females making moves on him. Having the grass type to tilt her head and hummed while looking up.

Then leans forward making Lopunny to stare dubiously at the grass types large and plump looking boobs, that were being pressed and squished against her lap. "Lilligant, gant?" She asked while tilting her head. Asking if it has something to do with Ash being able to see them in a humanoid like form? Similar to Erika in a way, which had Gardevoir and Lopunny, who stopped herself from reaching out to touch one of Lilligant's boobs.

Blink their eyes and look at one another in shock. Never knowing that there were others with Ash's unique trait? Which Gardevoir faced at Lilligant, raising a hand and waving it about. "Gardevoir, Voir?" Asking what she means by like Erika? Then widening her eyes when Lilligant happily eye smile and explained how, Erika is able to see Lilligant that like a human.

"Loo..." Cooed the rabbit female as she look down at herself and cupped her breasts. Bouncing them lightly and face Lilligant. "Lopunny, punny?" Asking like she can actually see her boobs and even open her legs a bit, ready to ask even their womanhood. Only to feel psychic energy slamming her thighs together by Gardevoir. Using her psychic powers and scolded her to not embarrassed their new teammate like that!

Making Lilligant to giggle and laugh. Waving her hand gently while telling Gardevoir that it's quit alright and she wasn't to worry. Informing the Lopunny that Erika could only see grass types, nobody else minus probably few body parts but that's about it. Making the two female who is with her to hum lightly and stared too one another. Curious about if there were more people like Ash out there?

Gardevoir though sighed and shook her head when Lopunny. Decided they will figure it out later and had quite the playful look, before jumping straight towards Lilligant! Sending them into a tumble and rolling about, before hooking her arms underneath Lilligant arms and began slapping her hands onto her boobs! Causing the grass Pokemon to shriek out and flail about as the rabbit was playing with her breasts. Having Gardevoir to face palm and shook her head, muttering out where Lopunny even keeps her energy?

Ash, who is almost about done with the food and cooking a meal for everyone. Watching and laughing lightly at his Pokemon being playful and messing about. He looked away when Lopunny began grabbing and groping Lilligant's body, making the boy to shake his head and having the same thoughts as Gardevoir. Of where the rabbit even keeps all that built up energy? Too then looking towards the right side of the picnic area, spotting Lucario, Meowzy, Ninetales and Nidoqueen were sitting about and chatting.

With Carla and Ninty seemingly once again competing against one another. By having their foreheads pressed and pushing against one another. Baring their fangs at one another, with Meowzy and Nidoqueen sitting idly next to them. With the cat Pokemon happily wagging her tail, not entirely sure what's happening, but seems to be enjoying the little pushing competition. While Nidoqueen just had one hand against her cheek, shaking her head left and right.

Having Ash guessing of why it is they always compete one another. Having the boy chuckle and face back at the food he is making. "I definitely have quite the active team." Ash thought to himself as he began stirring the soup a bit and moving some of the bread around. "I guess they get that energy from me..." He snicker and began grabbing some bowls. That were being carried by Pikachu who was handing him the said bowls.

"Thanks Pikachu, no doubt the girls will enjoy this." Ash announced and watch the electric mouse nodding his head. Then placing the bowls down carefully, whenever he brings the next one. "What about you buddy, want anything special?" He asked the electric mouse. Making Pikachu to look at him and then crosses his arm curiously, before grinning and running over to Ash's bag. Making the raven hair trainer to tilt his head and then nearly boast in laughter, when Pikachu had gone and grabbed a ketchup bottle!

"Pikachu," he snicker lightly while watching the Pokemon waddle his way over. "You and your ketchup, I never knew Pikachu's even like this stuff." He joked and happily take it from the mouse. Who was blushing sheepishly and rubbing the back of his head. He then look up at Ash and frown slightly when the boy's expression turned to one of thinking and blaming himself... Which confuses Pikachu greatly as he knows, it wasn't directed towards the Ketchup, but something else.

This emotion did not go unnoticed by Gardevoir either, heck a lot of his team took the chance to pause from what they're doing. Too then looking over at the young trainer, having quite concern in their eyes and openly thinking, "What's upsetting you?". Though the sudden silence of his Pokemon, alerted the boy and quickly shook his head, before laughing and chuckling.

"No worries everyone I'm fine!" Ash called out, making Blaziken who is standing on one of the tree branches. Look and shifted her eyes towards the boy, " Just been thinking a lot over the weeks, of how we should handle the next gym battle." He told them, getting most of the girls to stare at one another, while Pikachu glared lightly.

He knows that isn't the reason and knows that's not what making him upset. Pikachu figured he is blaming himself for something, but what that something is? He wasn't sure and no doubt Ash; will not tell them or letting them know that there is something bothering him. "I mean," Ash continued as he finishes up with the food and began moving over towards the Picnic table. "Considering what we've been through and gaining our fifth gym badge?" Then began placing the bowls and food onto the table.

Watching the team running on over or walking over towards the table. "I figured we will have to up our game and strategy, if we want to win our last three gym badges. Right?" He smiled, getting Flareon and Meowzy to yip and cry out their name wagging their tails happily. Knowing what he mean and knows they will have to train hard!

While the others just silently nodded and hummed to themselves, with Lopunny closing her eyes and thinking through of what they should do for training? With her little sister cutely trying to tip toe and reach out her bowl, then laughed when Lopunny. Snicker with a smirk and pushes the bowl ever gently away from her, laughing when she defended herself as Buneary. Eyes widened at what she did and began slapping her sisters shoulders!

Lilligant groaned lightly, trying her best to adjust and sit at the table. But is feeling bit upset and worried that her large bosoms? Would just get in the way and possibly hurt, if she were to sit up against the table. That and she didn't want to lift them up and having them place on the table top. Making Gardevoir to look toward her and giggle at her plight. "Voir." She suddenly spoke up, making Lilligant to turn at her.

"Voir, voir." Then pointed down at her own breasts. Showing Lilligant and demonstrating to her that she can have her bosoms, underneath the table and it won't hurt. Having the grass Pokemon to coo intriguingly and stared down at her boobs, before she went and does the same thing like Gardevoir. Moving her chair forward and gently, pushes her breasts under the table and giggled from the sudden tickle sensation the table was giving her. But is amazed how the idea worked and happily turned towards her and thanked her.

Gardevoir smiled and nods to her, though deadpan when Lucario, Ninetales and Nidoqueen came over and just sat down. Carla and Ninty she understand why they put their boobs on the table, both being canines and whatnot, but Nidoqueen? The Psychic fairy type jealously look over at the female Pokemon, who happily sat herself down and cupped her hands in front of her large boobs. Not caring at all if the breast plate, is pushing down or against her bosoms. Show casing it to everyone and probably Ash.

Too then growled even more jealously towards the Poison ground type, when she winked at her and softly whisper 'jealous'? At Gardevoir, who humph and look away not before having the spoons go flying at Nidoqueen face, earning fits of laughter from the Pokemon. Just enjoying the exciting energy and even had Gardevoir snickering lightly, it was all in good fun between one another. Though Gardevoir is still jealous of how her figured, seems to be better than her own. Despite, being a gym leaders Pokemon or having more experience.

Ash just laughed with his eyes closed after giving everyone their food. Enjoying the happy energy they were all giving out, even some of the funny antics they were giving towards one another. Though what kind of surprised him and the others the most, is when Blaziken? Actually came down from the tree branch and tree she was resting on?

And came over to join the fun and food, sitting right down next to Ash and across Pikachu. Surprising all the other females there, who stared openly towards her. At least the ones who knew her the longest that were staring at her, then grinned when the fire type. Who opened one eye at them and then had both eyes open, growling out what towards them? Which had Carla, Ninty, Lopunny, Buneary and Gardevoir to beam brightly saying welcome to the party!

Gaining some confusion with the newer members, but smiled either way. They had brief abridged stories of how Blaziken behave and well, they're glad she is finally getting along with them. Even laughed and smiled brightly when the girl, faced towards Gardevoir, who looked back curiously. Then grinned brightly and jokingly says. "Feeling better and not being a emo?"

That had Gardevoir grinning and blushing while she counter back, "Yea, and you doing better of not being a Tsundere?" Gaining lots of laughter from the group, while few were covering their mouths from the wide blush Blaziken had on her face, then growled and punches Gardevoir on the shoulder. Earning fits of giggles from the Psychic Fairy type, though smiled happily when Blaziken whispered how she's getting better at that.

Poor Lilligant though, she has no idea what is going on and even have a confuse look on her face. Ash, after calming down from his laughter and seeing that the grass type? Is staring towards him, went and lifted a fork. "No worries Lilligant, we will tell ya in due time. Let's just say we're glad that Blaziken is hanging out with us more than before." Getting the Pokemon to let out a low ah and beamed happily, glad to seeing everyone is being happy and enjoying one another presence!

Course Ash had to look down silently at his stew and soften his look. Alerting Pikachu, who's face is nearly covered in ketchup. From the ketchup bread he poured it on and look over at his trainer, then drooping his ears softly. The raven hair trainer just continued staring for a bit and began having voices echoing in his head.

"Heh look at that, because of you and rushing here to being a hero? Your endangering your friends."

"You can't be a master if you constantly hurt your friends! That's all will happen and will continue to happen, if you keep this journey going."

Those were what Tey told him before all the madness happened in Nightmare tower. "Pokemon master my ass- you can't even tame or control a powerful Pokemon! What trainer allows that!" The deranged man's voice continued, making Ash to just stare at his food silently. Silencing everything around him and even the winds.

"Your just proving my point, look at him look at how he struggles. Look how she is struggling and injuring herself to break free." His voice continued to echo and Ash. Began having flashes of the fight back at the tower and how much pain his two friends were in.

Ash closed his eyes tightly and gritted his teeth, that did not go unnoticed by his Pokemon team. Who had paused from their eating and stared at him, with a few lowering their ears and tails. While the rest were cooing softly towards the boy worried about him. Course this had him humming and then getting out of his thought, before looking up and seeing everyone looking at him and worried.

Feeling the soft winds blowing by and brushing against his skin and hair, then the boy shook his head. "Sorry everyone- just...not hungry." And stood up from the table and began heading off. "I'll be back in a few...don't follow." Ash said with a low tone, causing Pikachu who was about to follow. Too stop in his place and whined out, watching the boy stuffing his hands into his pockets and began heading towards the forest.

Pikachu look towards the table and back at his trainer, "Pikapi?" He chanted softly. Making everyone there to literally stop from what they are doing and look to one another, before watching the boy form disappeared into the forest. With Blaziken eyeing intensely at Ash's back and then look down at her food, before closing her eyes and letting out a sigh.

Chirping of the Pokemon in the forest could be heard. Some Butterfrees and Bautifly were flying about and soaring towards one flower each, chattering and making noises. With few Caterpies and Weedles, crawling about or climbing up some of the tree barks. Then eye smiled, purposely letting go of the tree branch and began curling up into a ball! Rolling on down against the bark and towards ground level, giggling happily as they tried their best staring in ball form.

Hoppips and Cottonee's were just lazing about and letting the winds carry them, smiling towards one another to then began rolling in midair whenever they bounced against one another. Even some being dunked or whacked away from few Aipoms, who were using them for a little game of theirs.

With few Mankey's and Pansage/sear/pour swinging about and hopping branch to branch. While a few freaked out a bit when they accidentally missed, but sighed when catching themselves onto the next branch and gave chase.

Pidgeotto and some Pidgey flew through the forests, using some of the trees to help train themselves to become better fliers. Swinging and sling-shot themselves around a large bark. While doing some acrobatics in the air, with the lead Pidgeotto flapping her wings and gently hovering herself down towards a tree branch, before spreading said wings out a bit. Then folding them to herself, cleaning them with her beak before coming to a pause and cooed out. Looking down at floor level and spotted what seems to be a human?

"Pidgoo?" She cooed out and leans her body down a bit on the branch, yeah it was definitely human she thought. Looking to be a Pokemon trainer too- but something seems wrong? In her eyes and the way he was sitting against one of the trees. He seems to be upset and worry about something, even looking to be by himself from the look of things?

Wondering exactly what is wrong with the boy, she decided to wait and see how things turn out and what kind of behavior. He is going to have once he collect himself and get out from his stupor, or whatever is bothering him. Ash, who she is watching gently move his head forward some more on his legs that were curled up, locked lightly from his arm wrapping around them. Going through his thoughts and possibly trying to find an answer, one that will help him decide if he should continue traveling or not?

"If you so dream of being a master, you might as well give up!" Tey voice echoed in his head, making Ash to grit his teeth. "Can't defend yourself, allowing yourself to get jumped by someone like me? Not only that, but leading to your friends demise!" He continued saying and taunting the boy.

Making Ash to lower his head and choke lightly, "Am I...am I really hurting my friends?" He thought to himself. Yeah Leaf looked really hurt and bruised up, despite her saying how it was the chains. "He said he was using her to bait me, to come towards the tower... knowing that we were childhood friends." He continued with his thoughts.

"You even fell for my trap, I knew using Leaf will bring you here towards me. I can't believe someone like you would fall for the simplest of traps." His voice cackled wildly in Ash's head, causing the boy to shut his eyes tightly and then grab the top of his head, shaking it.

"He...he is right, what kind of Pokemon master does that! Let alone hurting their friends!" He told himself and began having memories flashing back to him, of his younger days. "I-I remember now...I remember everything..." Then rested his hands onto the grassy ground and began having tears fall from his face.

Flashes of the past beginning to return and the day- the day of when the Pokemon League committee, has gone and change the age group to fourteen instead of ten year old. It was a week before the change happened. The day when Professor Oak invited every children in Pallet Town, spend time at his Pokemon range behind his Lab. Too study and learn about Pokemon, inviting him, Gary, Robert and Leaf too the carrel.

"During the time and Gary constantly nagging me and bugging me. After, bringing a Pokemon from Professor Oak's lab?" Flashes of a young Ash gritting and grinding his teeth, at a pompous Gary Oak- boastfully taunting to everyone there and the children. Of the Pokemon he had brought with him, to show off his grandfather- of how he can handle any Pokemon! Which the Pokemon he brought with him was a Squirtle, one of the starter Pokemon.

Constantly taunting out to everyone that they have nothing to fear, with him around. He can protect them from any wild ones. While taunting saying how they have no skills in taming them. Though that statement and with a pointed finger, was directed towards Ash! Singling him out of everyone there, of course it probably didn't help the children at the time were no where close to the adults.

Minus Leaf and Robert, considering at the time they hardly knew one another or weren't really close to him or Gary. "Because of my stupid rivalry with Gary, I shouted and told him that I could tame a better Pokemon than Squirtle." He growled to himself and gritted his teeth. His hat over shadowing his eyes and expression. "And because of my stupid anger getting better of me. I ran off and went looking for a strong or a Pokemon, that could be better than Squirtle."

Then lifted his head and sniffed lightly while rubbing his eyes. "I went and found a Nidorino in the fields, bringing it back with me. Despite knowing the danger and how, well calm it was of following me." Then rested his head up against the tree bark, staring up towards the sky. "I brought it back to the kids, and the parents as well. Without really thinking of my actions and Gary taunting me some more- while ignoring the adults and Oak's words about how dangerous Nidorino can be." Then closed his eyes and lower his head, hearing the panic and screams echoing out his head of how things went from 0 to 100 fast!

"I stupidly threw a tantrum at Gary taunting me and wind up slamming my foot into Nidorino." And plop his forehead against his knees. Causing the hat to move up slightly, "it went on a rampage and began attacking everyone with Tackle and Poison sting."

Images of how frantic everyone was and how the parents, were scooping up their children or were fleeing from the scene. With Professor Oak doing everything he can to calm the Pokemon down, "Then it began chasing me and charging at me after I got cornered..." Then hiccuped. "I remember everything, because of what happened next and it lounging at me. Robert...Robert got in the way of the attack and took the hit for me, while Leaf dive towards me and got me away from the place."

Then imagery of Robert who took the blow, flew backwards and slammed against a table, causing it to flip up against his back. With Leaf hissing out badly from getting Ash out of there, that had them rolling towards one of the wooden benches, causing the girl to get splinters. "And no thanks to Nidorino's poison point and the slight cut to Robert's stomach, it...it." Then slammed his head against his knees.

"It's my fault, it's all my fault!" He shouted and caused some of the Pokemon there to flee and run away from the spot. With Pidgeotto however, stood there and had quite the sad look in her eyes, "Because of me, Robert and Leaf got sent to the hospital not only once! But twice because of my carelessness! ME harming them two times in their life, and yet! They still want to be friends!" He screamed and threw his hat across the forest!

"Why, why do they still intend to be with me!" Ash screamed out at the top of his lungs and just punches the ground repeatedly. "Why, I am nothing! I am no good friend, I always hurt them and probably will keep hurting them if they stay by me! Why, why, why!" He repeated over and over, punching and pounding the ground with rage and depression. "Why...why, why!"

"BLAZIKEN!" Shouted his Pokemon causing Ash to widen his eyes and stop from what he is doing, then lift his head up and saw...Blaziken! "Blaziken, ken, ken!" Who had tears flowing her eyes and chanting with shaky movements. Scolding the boy of why wouldn't they be friends with him!? Why would they not distance themselves away from the boy. "Ken, Blaziken, blaziken." Then shook her head and moving her body about, trying to keep herself cool as she continued scolding him. Thrashing her arms lightly about.

Telling the boy that there is many reasons of being with him or being friends with him! "Blaze, Blaziken!" The threw one arm at him with a pointed finger. Scolding him of how that he shouldn't judge why people want to be with him or staying friends with him! There were so many reasons why someone will or want to be friends with him!

When I think of what I've been through~

Blaziken continued chanting and speaking towards Ash, having memories flashing through her head now. Along with Ash who was listening and starting to slowly understand what she was telling him. How much he was a such a good person. Explaining how he goes and take the time to help everyone out or how he helps his team, get through their tough times.

I can see that you've always been there for me~

To tell the truth, don't know what I'd do without you.~

Blaziken is now panting and breathing heavily, getting memories and good times she had with the boy. The yeah many times she flamethrower his face, but did enjoy and watched how he interacted and behave with the other Pokemon of the group. Playing with them and coaching them, to even teaching them how to work out their movements or attacks.

Half of my dreams would not come true~

Having hilarious moments with everyone, to even trying his best to getting Carla or Ninty off from him whenever they tackle him down. Wanting to get more attention out of the others, or out right challenging one another who can get him to pet them more.

"Blaziken, ken...Blaze...Kin, kin." She then softly looked away and fiddled with her hands a bit. Remembering the enjoyments she had when they took a break and played at the beach. Watching the other Pokemon playing with one another. OR how she burst our laughing when Lopunny had somehow wedged herself between Nidoqueen's breasts. Trying her best to breaking free and whatnot- to enjoying the mother and child festival when arriving the eastern part of Kanto. Meeting up with the ghost child who gone and helped her, understand a bit more about herself.

Now my life means so much more~

Blaziken then smiled happily with bit of tears, "Blaziken, blaze, blaze." Chanting and rubbing the back of her head sheepishly of how, she even enjoyed playing the role of a TV hero. When they met up with Jasmine and her husband, to pretending to being the Ninetale's hero and the Blaziken hero Pokemon. That she really enjoyed and had even fun with some of the children, after the whole team rocket incident was over- it was just...fun. "Blaziken, ken." Then move her arm forward and knelt down in front of Ash.

Staring him in the face, "Blaziken, blaze." Chanting out how if it wasn't for him? She would have never experience all of this or even having fun doing so! She then placed a hand on his shoulder, while the other hand pump into a fist. "Blaziken, Blazi, Blazeiken!" Stating how would anyone not want to be friends with him or travel with him? If they didn't have this much fun with him or hell, how determined he is for not quitting or giving up!

Making Ash to stare at her and letting the tears roam down his face. Listening to this Pokemon, who had hated his guts from the very beginning of his journey, to warming up to everyone. Is now lecturing him and telling him. How wouldn't anyone want to be close to him or becoming friends with the upbeat Pokemon master?

"But...It was my fault that-" Then felt Blaziken grabbing onto him and brought him into a hug. A comforting and protected type of hug, growling lightly and clenching her eyes tight. She scolded the boy that it wasn't his fault! Then lightly cooed out that the Nidorino incident was his fault. But things happen for a reason and the two friends of his, decided to help him out on their own accord.

"Blaziken...ken." Blaziken then stated how if they weren't friends. Even back then, then the two of them would not have a reason to protecting the boy or letting someone else handled it. She just hugged the boy and began hiccuping, when Ash- out of everything he's been through and breathing bit faster against Blaziken.

Finally broke down on the girl and began letting out the frustration and sadness that were building up inside of him. Just crying into her and unable to control himself, feeling the tall fighting type just holding him close and rubbing her cheek against the side of his neck, rubbing and gliding her hand up and down against her back. Feeling his breathing against her chest, along with the tears that is wetting her feathers.

Which she does not mind at all, Ash needed someone to hold onto and let it all out. How she didn't see how much hurting was going through this trainer is beyond her. She blame it on being ignorant about his feelings, she blames it on her hatred for Pokemon trainers. But after seeing it first hand of how much hardship one goes through, let alone having to experience these things in their life time? Blaziken blamed herself for not actually being there for him and help comfort him in his time of need, like the other Pokemon did.

Blaziken lifted her head up and saw that the other Pokemon, were beginning to approached and having their own set of tears and hiccups of their own. While approaching the two of them, making Ash to pull away and look at the group. Watching Carla and Ninty approaching them and squeezed themselves into Blaziken's embrace and hugging into Ash.

They too speaking and saying how that it wasn't for Ash? They would have not come to terms with their original trainers or help them rekindled their friendship with them again. Especially when said situations weren't that extreme. Carla then pulled back with teary smile, while wiping her hands against her eyes. Telling Ash how that if weren't for him running back into her old family? They would have not been able to go and save their restaurant, from that crazy old hag!

Who had been plotting to getting rid of them and having them get kicked out of their living space. While Ninty licked his cheek and told him, how if they didn't meet with her own family? They would have not figured out the reasoning behind Jasmine, wanting to send her to Professor Oak and then learned how it was because of Jasmine own mother. Who was worried for her safety because of what she did with her Pokemon, with Jasmine being worried about her son getting into the same situation!

Even rekindled the mother and Ninty to become friends again. This had Ash sniffing and hiccuping while laughing lightly when the two Pokemon, just moved against him and nuzzled their heads against one another, making it difficult for Blaziken to move or situate herself. Though grunts when she felt Gardevoir, coming from behind and wrapping her arms around them all. While placing her head against the fire starters shoulder.

Then you'd proved you're a friend to me~

Making the female to look at her and then rolled her eyes, laughing when Gardevoir asking if it was alright? Which had Gardevoir laughing before facing forward looking at Ash with her own tears. Going and explaining to the boy of how, without his help and never wanting to give up on her? When they were facing Sabrina, too even believing in her despite being scared or refusing to fight against the girl.

Gardevoir was able to patch things up with Sabrina and finally able to put her past behind them. Delivering the message her friend wanted her to give. When she was still a Kirlia towards Sabrina, but wasn't able to because of the traumatic event that happened. All the while saying how if Ash never came into her life, she probably would have stayed at Oak's lab...being scared for her life of ever facing Sabrina.

Now my life, means so much more, means so much more~

Ash is just astounded as he just sat there and slowly smiling with more and more of his team coming and snuggling one another. Hugging against the boy and his other Pokemon, listening to their tales and stories of how if wasn't for him, or how if he wasn't there for them? It would've turned out awful for them. Especially when Buneary and Lopunny began explaining about their life to them and how, if Team Rocket didn't introduced them to the boy? Well, Lopunny to Ash and help from her little sister. They would have been stuck living in those terrible conditions of Mount Moon!

All the while having the best days of their lives! Traveling and spending time with the boy, seeing the sights and getting to experience such amazing friends and rivals. They would have missed it all if they did not run into the young trainer and even getting close with everyone. The boy laughed when Buneary wiggled her way through along with Pikachu, towards the boy's chest and lean against him. Having him face out and away from Blaziken, looking towards the others.

It was you who always by my side~

I just can't do it, you've help me through it~

Watching and listening to the girls explain everything to him, while laughing and sniffling with the boy- it was quite incredible. He never thought that if it wasn't for him...these Pokemon, these amazing creatures lives would have been so different than what it is right now.

Meowzy would've been stuck being a stray and hanging out with the Persian gang. Flareon would have probably passed away if she were to stayed with her trainer back at Glare blitz. With all the torture and mistreatment he was giving her, that probably would have been like Blaziken and never trust humans ever again! Nidoqueen would have stayed at the Pokemon range, never able to see what the world had to offer after being separated from her own trainer.

We're friends forever, like best friends should be~

While for Lilligant if it weren't for him snapping her out from her trauma when Team Rocket sent out Victreebel? She would have never been able to save not just him, but Erika and all of the Pokemon that were in the garden! Thanks to him she was finally able to face her fears and face off against the Victreebel!

Ash chuckle and smiled through his crying while feeling everyone there hugging him and cuddling him, hoping to make him feel better about himself and letting him know. That anyone and probably everyone would love to be friends with him, he then turned towards Pikachu. Who happily patted his face cheek and chanted out.

How if it wasn't for Ash? He would have never been able to leave the Professor Lab, especially after showing great kindness of allowing Robert and Leaf, travel with one another and getting their starter Pokemon. Then chuu out while nuzzling into Ash's neck, saying how he is glad they were friends and partners with everyone else saying the same thing, including the big toughie Blaziken who also nuzzle lightly into him.

Special part of me~ It was you, who showed me got a friend in you~

"Your our hero Ash Ketchum and will always stay with you." with Pidgeotto who was watching smile and giggle out of how many friends and love ones the boy has. No doubt with them around, he will be alright and will go far with his Pokemon. Maybe someday if she runs into them again? She can go and ask for the boy Ash, if she could join the group? For now... she will let them be and give them privacy as she began flapping her wings and soar towards the sky!

After all of that and making sure the young trainer was fed? With Pikachu running over to his hat and bringing back to him. All smiled towards him and happily nods to return back to where they came from, while making sure to tell the boy. That they're always there for him and were sent back to the Professor Oak's lab.

Though what shock him the most and after recalling Lilligant, Ninty, Carla and Gardevoir back to their Pokeball, while also about to get Blaziken back? Ash and Pikachu blink their eyes and stared at the fire starter Pokemon briefly, who seemed to be thinking through some things and going through her thoughts.

I always knew that I got a friend, that will be right here with me~

And it was you who stood by my side when the skies were blue~

Too then growing a big smile and open her eyes before approaching the boy and...extend his hand out. "Blaziken, Blazi..." Then give a thumbs up and winked at the wide eye Ash. "I want to fight with you Ash Ketchum, and nothing you going to say will change my mind." Making Pikachu and Ash stare at the hand, then towards Blaziken who smiled brighter.

"Heh I am glad to be working with you Blaziken! Thank you for giving me the chance!" Beamed the young trainer and clapped hands with Blaziken, who brought him into a tight hug. Promising to herself that she will never see this boy. Sad ever again and will protect that smile of his from anything! Even if she can't always be there to protect the smile, but she will do her damn best to make sure the smile will ever leaf his face.

Ash pulled away and then chuckle, "Though before we head out...I just have to make one more call." He said, making Pikachu and Blaziken to understand. Worry about his friends and such that they head on back towards the Pokemon center and then towards the phone.

When they got back and being sure to not get crowded, went towards the video phone. Ash letting out a calming breath. He need to ask something and be sure of something, which is if the two of them meant to save him or not when Nidorino incident? The call went through and began ringing and after few minutes of waiting and someone picking up the phone.

He, Pikachu and Blaziken were beaming brightly of who answered the phone, with their own beaming smiles! "ROBERT, EEVEE! Your both alright and okay!" Exclaimed Ash bit to loudly and leans a hand against the phone edges, watching the two nodding their heads. "You...you two-"

"We got permission to head on out and get back to traveling Ash!" Smiled Robert, getting the raven hair trainer to smile while controlling his emotions. "Granted, I can't really over strain myself. But The doctors have gone and told me my recovery is enough for me to travel. While seeing no problems in working my rehabilitation by traveling."

"Evoi, eee!" Giggle Eevee while hopping up and down on his shoulder. Then nuzzle lightly on Robert, "Evoiii, breeee!" he purred out telling Pikachu and Blaziken how, he never gave up and giving in just like Ash!

"Heh must've been hard huh?" Ash asked and then blinked his eyes at what Robert said next, causing his heart to rise at his best friend saying.

"Yeah it was hard and heck," Robert rubbed the back of his head. "I honestly wanted to give up and quit. Because of how hard it was recovering my movements again..." Then look towards Eevee, who nodded happily and then back. "But then Eevee here made me remember something, coming to a realization that it wouldn't be good for me to quit." Then eye smiled. "And that was, 'If Ash were to go through something like this? He wouldn't give up and keep pushing through, no matter how hard things were!" Making the trio on the other end to blink their eyes, Pikachu and Blaziken having caring smiles on their faces and look to Ash.

Amazed how Robert thought that he shouldn't give up, because Ash wouldn't give up at all. "Seeing how determine you were with Flareon, and even not giving up on her after getting her to listen to us and get to the Pokemon center." Robert then softly rubs the back of his head. "And how you told me, you will go and help Leaf and make sure she is safe at the tower. While telling me that it is alright to be scared or frighten of the tower?" Then opened his hands. "I knew that I had to repay the favor and not give up while in the hospital."

He then chuckle and laughed, "Especially you showing such kindness back three months ago. Allowing me to travel with Leaf and receive my starter Pokemon." Then pets Eevee on the head who purred happily and swishing his tail. "Honestly, if it weren't for you being my friend Ash? I would not be here today without your help so..." Ten faces forward and gave a winking smile. "Thank you for being there for me and Leaf, your an amazing friend and don't you ever forget it."

Which had Ash chuckling and hiccuping while then laughing when Robert jokingly said. "And as for the whole Nidorino incident? Cause something tells me your about to say something about it." Then tip his hat. "Let's be honest here, anyone in your position who has a rival like that? Would have tried to prove themselves to showing off...I was kind of the same with my brother when around your age." He said. "So please...don't feel sorry about it."

"I...just need to know something Robert." Ash suddenly said between chokes. While looking up to Robert, doing his best to control his tears. Watching the older teen blink his eyes and hums lightly. "Did...you save because you wanted too, or would...would've let someone else." Then stops when Robert shook his head.

"I saved you because well..." Then looked away sheepishly. "I wanted to be friends with you and well, thought it was cool how you got a Nidorino to follow you back to everyone." Then smiled. "Honestly I figured if Leaf and I would've gotten you safe and sound? We could've become great friends...granted," then jokingly hissed and rubs his stomach. "I wasn't expecting a Tackle attack there and kind of glad it hit me and not you or Leaf."

"But why, why did you do it...why you want to be my friend so much?" Ash asked feeling himself breaking down and then widened his eyes and then Smiled brightly. When Robert gives a thumbs up and responded.

"Because I look up to you Ash and honestly, hoped that someday we could become the best of friends." And then laughs, "and we are! Thanks to that incident we were able to become close friends with one another. That I was honestly happy." Then looks down softly feeling Eevee wrapping around his neck and acted like a scarf, giggling happily. "I- didn't have much friends when I was young Ash. No one even tried because they were afraid, that if they upset me? My brother would have beaten them up. Besides Leaf who didn't cared, you were the only person who approached me and saw me for who I am." He said and closed his eyes.

"You didn't see me like my brother's shadows, like most of the adults at the time did. Before meeting you and Leaf, all I ever heard was how I will be like my brother or grow up to be like my brother or how my brother inspire me to becoming a trainer." He then look back at the boy and smiled."But you didn't and after spending time in the hospital recovering and regaining my strength. I've come to realization that..My goal isn't to be better than my brother." Then shook his head. "No, my real goal is to travel, to see the world and meet amazing Pokemon and people who lives out there! Becoming a trainer on my own terms and let no one decide my fate. And, well have you to thank for."

"Me..?" Ash asked confusingly and waited for why that is Robert is thankful for him?

"Yup, seeing and meeting up with you, traveling with you and how you saw the world. It finally dawned on me that, your traveling to becoming a Pokemon master. Is your decision, not because your rivals to Gary-" Then sheepishly grinned. "But its because you love Pokemon and want to be friends with them and help out anyone, who needs it. And because of that while thinking it over, I honestly have to thank you for helping me- find my original reasoning of becoming a Pokemon trainer." And then raised a fist in the air, to give a fist bump towards the boy. "So thank you again Ash," Then smiled when he shifted his eyes towards Pikachu and Blaziken.

"And seems like you finally got Blaziken to trust you, I'm glad!" Then laughed when Blaziken turned away trying to act tough. "Keep an eye on him okay you two? He tends to act before he thinks." Robert jokes and laughed with everyone including Ash.

"Alright Robert...oh and thank you." He said while gently tapping the screen with his fist. Making Robert to hum and then smiled softly, "I need something to ease my mind and well. Seeing you and Eevee on the phone, it gave me assurance that your alright." Then laughed when he heard Leaf calling out towards Robert. "Alright, you better get going. See ya."

"Yup, you too Ash and don't ever give up okay? I will see you at the Pokemon league." With that and Eevee waving happily towards the group. Hanged up with one another and began heading out.

"Right..." Ash then adjusted his hat and straighten it before facing around and looking to Blaziken. Grinning brightly, "we better get going and show everyone what we're made of!" Then beamed happily while lifting up his wrist. Where the Poke wrist transfer Oak gave him back at Vermilion city with the rest of the girls, who were looking and smiling at the boy. Happily cheered out when he said, "Thank you all for helping me in my time of need, and letting me know. How much you all cared for me." Then thrust his right arm out and exclaimed.

"Let's go! Everyone will be waiting for us to get too the Pokemon league!" He cheered out along with his Pokemon as they set foot once more on their adventures.

No matter how tough the road may be or how life may seem to bring you down? Our hero has learned that those who care for him and love him. Are there to help him and pull him out from the dark times and assist him anyway as possible. Friends, loved ones and those who truly care for you will be there and will be ready, to listen and open themselves up for whatever troubles you may have.
