"Just arriving at the cottage was a fun moment that day and also that afternoon, which gradually got moreand more exciting, I always get a smile on my face remembering that place and I was always waiting for youto show up there, anyway, we were going to have to wait a good few years for the cure to come, but theworry was already on something else, since we came to the place just to forget about those things, live lifeand let the cottage make us relax."

Wow, the water war and jumping in the lake were already marvellous things, just on the first day, I already loved getting here and relaxing a bit, now to be with the children here, my sisters, they're so cute, it's so nice to see them like this, I wish Diana was here too, it's a shame I won't be able to be near the eldest.

I get up after spending some time with my sisters, then I see that Phoebe is sitting on a sofa outside looking at the sky, she has the expression of someone who is a little frustrated.

"So did you enjoy yourself?" I ask her and she rolls her eyes.

"I'm still angry at being forced into it, but it wasn't so bad, the jumping into the lake part is fun, but then the plan to take my mobile phone still stands" I nod.

"Let's enjoy it here Phoebe, there's no need to pick up the mobile phone" I tell her.

"Are you going to tell me that you really enjoy these old people's things? Well, Chariot, you've got to enjoy it more, we could turn up at a party near here and then you'll know what you're missing" I just shrug.

"Yeah, I like it, it's been seven years since I last came here, you still played a lot back then, I had everything taken away from me, you have no idea how hard I had to fight to get here, that's why I have so much fun, apart from the fact that I still have the best girlfriend of all, look I don't want anything more than that" I say rubbing the back of my neck.

"You really do get away with very little, but you could get away with more, that's all I'm saying, well apparently I'm going to be alone in this, a shame, I'll have to enjoy this boredom" It's not that boring.

"Well that's up to you, because honestly I'm going to have a lot of fun here, apart from the fact that we still have video games here, there's still a lot of fun to be had here" I just shrug and go outside, where I see that Megan is playing by herself.

Well, if Phoebe is going to sit there, I'll at least move and do something, Meg will certainly want to at least play with something, I walk over to her and see that she was playing on the floor, it looked like she was hitting some cards, I quickly sit down on the floor nearby and she notices my presence.

"So do you want to play cards?" She asks and I nod.

"How do you do that?" I ask her.

"Look at this, you pick up the card, hit it and the next thing you know it creates a current of air that turns it over, it's quite fun, I'll give you some cards and you start with them, whoever has the most cards or all of the opponent's wins" I think I've got the hang of it.

She gives me a cupcake with 20 cards, which we start by putting only one of each in a pile, I see her go first and neither card has turned over, I even realise that she uses both hands for this, I think I really understand how she does it, come on Chariot.

I hit my turn, the cards don't turn over, it's harder than it looks, there has to be a right way to do it for sure, which on her turn doesn't go either, I try with just one hand and this time I succeed which I even celebrate all excited, for managing to turn over both.

"You see, it's very simple, just hit it right and it turns over, you've already won your first one" I'm all smiles, I've never played one of these before, it's really good fun.

"That's pretty cool! I've never played like that" I say as I draw more cards, putting more into play.

And now that I know how to turn it, it will be easier, I try again, but I can't turn even one, which Megan arrives and puts her hand further away from the cards and hits the ground which causes a little wind that turns only one, that's very clever, I hadn't thought of that, I think now I have to turn this one so I don't lose.

I take a deep breath and put both hands on the card and it doesn't turn over, it's still out there trying to use the wind, but the card only makes one mistake, now it's my chance, I'll take this chance of hitting the hand and it doesn't come to anything, which frustrates me a lot

"It didn't work, it seems you have to make a pact to make it work" I say, rubbing the back of my neck.

"It's very much a question of skill and luck, that's why it's fun to play, you have to have technique, Croix is the one who plays this game well, she taught me" said Meg.

She tried it and apparently it was this time, it was impressive, it seems that this time she won, which we started to play again, this time putting two of each, we're going to risk a lot more this time, we can win 4 cards on this one, I'm already getting anxious, which I take a deep breath, I'm starting to pick up my hand, and I use two, now come on, I hit the ground and I manage to make the four turn the other way which I celebrate.

"I did it! I'm the greatest card turner!" I say celebrating.

"Look, love, it's impressive that you've managed to turn all this round, Meg, give me some cards and I'll play with you too" She came back from the bathroom, finally, now we're all going to play for a while.

"The best has arrived, now you'll know what it's like to lose Chariot, Croix taught me all this, she's unbeatable" Let's see, I'll definitely have a chance.

"She may be the best, but we can still beat her" I say with motivation.

"Croix is very skilful, I've won very little from her in this, you'll see" I just really want to see, it'll be fun to lose anyway.

And we're starting to play, placing two cards each, now there are six of them in the cookie jar, it's really going to get more interesting, if we turn them all over we might have a chance of winning, Megan goes first, she hits the ground and doesn't do anything, I go next, I'd already learnt the tactic before, now I'm going to do it again, except that my hit on the ground only turns over one of them, which I could at least pick up, there are only five left.

When it's Croix's turn, she hits anyway, using only one hand, I'm shocked that all five of them are turned round, there's no way she's that good.

She's that good, there were almost all our cards and she was turning them all over, simply tapping and turning them over with a quieter technique, I'd never seen anything like it, what we saw was a car parking and it was my mums, they arrived carrying lots of bags, which even called us to help them unload the car. We got up, after losing shamefully to Croix, and with that we picked up the things that were in the boot and also in the back of the car, wow there are a lot of bags here, I carried them inside, where we put them on a table.

"Look at them arrive with the shopping, that's marvellous" said Grandma.

"Now we'll have plenty to eat around here" I say excitedly.

I was picking up more things, going back and forth, I knew there was one more thing missing, food is the most important thing, now it makes sense that they left, they were very quick and brought a lot of things, Croix and I already have our hands full, going back and forth to the car a lot, I hope there's room after all.

We took everything we had in the car and my girlfriend and I, a little tired, threw ourselves on the sofa to rest, as it was a lot of shopping, I think this is going to be something that lasts all the days we stay here, not so bad.

"You must have really enjoyed yourselves, we'll go and prepare some lunch for you, you must be hungry after all that travelling and the time we spent playing" I nodded in agreement.

"We just played cards and Phoebe lay there in the hammock, she's always wanting to go to those teenage parties, trying to persuade us to take her mobile phone to arrange one" I said, pointing at her who was lying on the sofa.

"Chariot!" She said angrily, I don't think I should have told you anything, I think I made a mistake.

"I'm sorry, I didn't realise I wasn't supposed to tell you" I say to her, and she gets more upset.

"Oh she wants to be a big girl then? Interesting, so Phoebe, do you want to be more of a teenager or an adult?" Said my mum Laura.

"She thinks she's going to be a big girl like that, she's just missing out, since you want to be a big girl so badly, help us get the shopping done, maybe I'll take you for a big girl ride, since you want it so badly" said Mrs Morris.

"What do you know about people our age? Seriously, no offence, but you're too old for this, you'll only embarrass yourselves if you turn up at a real party" said Phoebe, teasing the two.

"We were teenagers once, you don't know what it's like, I can assure you that the parties are nothing like what you see in the films your friends watch, but since you insist so much, we'll go to one of these, Croix and Chariot will go too, you'll know what parties like this are really like" said Aunt Rosemary.

"With you? But no chance, I'd rather go alone than be embarrassed knowing that a bunch of mums accompanied me to a teenage party" she said, turning her face away.

The older girls just laughed, but I think someone really wanted to get up and help, we even laughed, what she wouldn't do for a party like this, I just stayed with my girlfriend, who lay on top of me, and I took the opportunity to give her some cuddles, this girl is so cute, she deserves a lot of affection, even though she picked up all the cards when we played that card game.

"So what are we going to do while they do the shopping?" asks my beautiful Croix.

"We can have a broom race, who's the fastest round the lake" said Megan excitedly.

"It's good that there's a sorcerer's stone here for such things, but come on, this is interesting, I want to see if Croix has evolved a lot too" I say, getting up from the sofa.

"I want to see if you can really pass me too, maybe in this year's relay you'll even have a chance" I'm sure I will.

We got up and went to get the brooms, which we ran towards the lake, with our brooms on them, and soon we were positioned, lined up in a straight line to start this race, we started and flew at high speed, leaving Megan behind, she really thought she had a chance against the two of us.

We stayed side by side, me and Croix, going along the shore of the lake, which was making the biggest surge of water along the way, creating waves and everything, she's really still quite active even though she's not flying so much on a broomstick, she's still quite fast, but I'm not going hard either, I'm just going normally, I don't want to show her everything I can do yet

"Not bad Chariot, you're still really fast after all this time, even faster than before, that could be very good up front, it's going to be quite a duel in this year's relay" you have no idea yet.

She's even speeding up as I keep quiet, so I'm going a little harder too, without going all out, which I manage to do well even though it's not that easy to dodge the branches, it's been good training, while Megan was lagging behind, poor thing, she really thought the competition was going to be fair, we're both witches who are more trained for it.

It looks like someone's really giving it their all, I could tell by the look on her face, she was even quieter, which I'm keeping my concentration on too, just so I don't show that I'm still holding back a bit, it's quite rare to see her flying like this so focused on a broom, usually it's always on those flying hoovers.

We're completing the lap and the best part is always the braking as there's a lot of water around, wetting the whole bank, which we've reached until we're back on the ground and then Megan comes along and she's even panting a bit

"It's not worth it, you're both much faster than me, it's no fun like this" she said angrily, but she was the one who asked to compete like this.

"We just competed a bit hard, but it was fun, I haven't had this much fun flying a broom in ages" said my girlfriend.

"One day I want to be as fast as you or Aunt Laura, she's the fastest, she even goes faster than you" That's for sure, that's another level.

After all this, we went on to climb a tree, and we saw that several rainbows had formed around the edge, it must have been because of the broom flying, I'm sure of it, wow, this is really beautiful to admire, we really did all this, wow, it's amazing, look at the beauty, sometimes broom flying isn't about competing over who's the fastest either.

"That gives me some interesting ideas for the future" I say, looking out over the lake.

"Let's stop thinking about what I think you're thinking, we came here to enjoy the moment, didn't we" She's right, we didn't come here to dwell on it, not least because there's no point in thinking about the performances all the time, we came just to get away from it.

Now there's a good smell, we were playing another game together, this time the three of us were playing a bit of football, which Phoebe couldn't resist and joined in too, so we were able to play a game of two against two, it was good fun, but hunger soon struck.

Looking at the barbecue where my mum Laura is making some food, it looks like meat, just smelling it makes you hungry, so she called us over, which we stopped playing, who would have thought that Phoebe who was the most annoying finally gave in a bit, it was fun in the end.

We sat down at the table and soon there were a few bottles of soft drink in our hands and also a tray full of meat, she even turned red, I never thought I'd see something so beautiful in front of me.

"Woah, that looks so delicious" I say, almost drooling.

"Things I learnt on my trips to Argentina, Bernadette who loves it when I make a good barbecue like that" said my mother McLaren.

I take a piece of this meat and cut it off, when I put it in my mouth, a piece that's even a little red, I feel the liquid, wow, this is so good, I never thought it would be so good, this meat is an explosion of flavours, wow, I've never eaten meat this good before.

I'm getting some potatoes too, Grandma Joanne's mashed potatoes are the best and with this meat it's even better, I'm also drinking some soda, wow if the food is this good every day I'm just going to love every second in this place, it's all so good and wonderful.

"Hmmmmmm, that's perfect" I say in amazement.

"I knew you'd love it, everyone loves it when I make meat like this, this must be your first time eating like this, so it's always good to enjoy it, that's what I'm saying, we're going to have many more moments like this Chariot, you can be sure, as soon as you graduate, make sure the doors at home are wide open" I know this, I'm going to move to Ireland with pleasure, it's going to be marvellous staying here, even more so with Croix, where we're going to get married, stay together, ahhhh.

I went on to eat some more, getting other meats too, there's not just beef, there's also chicken, there's sausages, not like the sausages I see in American films, they're big and well made, wow this is so good, garlic bread baked like this, I'm going to get fatter this way, if I'm going to eat well like this every day.

I think I've had enough, I don't even realise it, I've eaten so much that I think I'm going to explode, this with the soft drink was wonderful, an explosion of flavours, I even decide to rest a bit, I get up and go to the sofa outside.

"Someone ate too much, didn't they?" I nod.

"There's more food later, we'll enjoy the best here, you can be sure, whatever we can do we'll do here" said my mum Bernadette calmly.

"I can't wait, I've loved everything here, I've missed this place too much, now I'm going to relax a lot, will there be anything to do afterwards?" I ask them.

"When the food's gone down we can go out and play a bit of volleyball or something, it'll be really fun to spend time with you like this" said my mum Laura, and I'm getting anxious.

I go over to the sofa and lie down, and then Croix comes over, I think it's a well-deserved relief after everything, she comes over to my lap, where we kiss, my belly is full, I've eaten too much for now, at least it'll be enough energy for later when I go to play some more, this early afternoon has come with everything.

This first day has already been better than any other, I really can't wait for the day when I'm a mum with Croix and can make our daughters enjoy what we enjoyed so much as children, I'm sure they'll love it.

"I knew it was going to be perfect when you came, I remember when your mums talked about you, a radiant girl who was all lively and a bit of a klutz, but who was always so nice, they were right and I know above all that I made the right decision to date you" what a cutie she is, a real cutie.

"I also know that I made the right decision, I never thought I'd meet you, I'd never heard of you once, but then I heard about you for a day and when I met you, well I was surprised, the girl genius is not only a marvellous person, who has given me the happiest moments of my life" I say hugging her.

"Well that was an afternoon, we played volleyball, baseball, we even got to shoot real guns at targets nearby,it's always a lot of fun, throughout the afternoon, what we ate from time to time, since Grandma Joanne andGrandpa Mark prepared things for us, ice cream, sweets, whatever we had we went there and ate, then wentback to having fun, Even the reluctant Phoebe gave in and seemed to be having a lot of fun, this place has amagic about it that makes people have more fun, that's what's wonderful, one day we'll go there with all thegirls, for sure, after all mum Laura knows all of you, I've told her all your adventures, but let's go back sincenightfall has arrived."

Wow, the day was perfect the whole time, it's a miracle, this marvellous sunset, while we're having dinner, the scenery is always perfect, the lake in the background, the day cooling down a bit, I think there will be more to do and enjoy this evening.

The pizzas we made were really good, the best thing was making them with Croix and she's a real pain in the arse with pizza, it's funny, just by putting something different on it she gets all twitchy.

"You see, Croix, pizza can be different and still be good" said my aunt April.

"Hmpf, that's not pizza, that's a pie with cheese and lots of different things, the real pizza is this one" she really likes these traditional pizzas.

"Be careful, we're going to break the spaghetti in the middle Croix, boo" said Mum Bernadette and she just sulked.

"That's no fun, there's no point in breaking the spaghetti in the middle, it just goes down and softens with the water" she's really different when it comes to this, how cute.

"It seems the Italian way has never left you, hasn't it, love?" She nods.

"I lived in Italy for 12 years, I still have a lot, even though I'm used to the way of life here in Ireland, the traditions are still in my head" you can tell when she gets angry her hands even move and stay that way.

"Let's not be mean to the girl, but pizza is good, there's no denying that, I've had it everywhere, Italian pizza is still the best, it may look uglier, have less than Brazilian or American pizza, but that's the fun of it, being small and enjoying it while you eat, apart from the fact that Italian pizza is a thousand times better, but let's not get into a fight about which is better or not, the important thing is to enjoy the food" said Mum Laura as she ate.

"The important thing is that you don't destroy the pizza" said Croix, and we just laughed.

I think it's quite late now, we ran, we played, we ran a lot, but now it's time to take a shower, after all that and go to sleep, we went up the stairs to our room and luckily I remembered that ours even has a bathroom and a bathtub included, so I started to lift up my shirt, but my hand was held by Croix who was embarrassed.

"Chariot, what are you doing?" She asks.

"We're going to have a shower, it's been a busy day, nothing better than a shower, right?" I say to her, who becomes a little paralysed.

"Us?" She gets even more embarrassed.

"We're girlfriends, what's the problem?" She stares down and then points to something between her legs.

"The problem is that you might be uncomfortable, not that I don't want you to be, but you might see things that I don't know..." I move closer to her and reassure her.

"I know that what you have is different from what I have, but that doesn't make me uncomfortable, on the contrary, it's part of you Croix, it must be very cute by the way, I can even help you with that" I think it's best to start with her trousers, I'll help her take off her clothes.

"Chariot please, it's not the best time, just by looking like this I'm already very different, please" I shrug and what could be different, I pull down her trousers anyway and I end up seeing something very... It's really different, it's not like the statues they show in history and art lessons, the way this is, she even tries to put her hand in front of it.

"Is everything all right, Croix? Is it normal to be like this?" I ask her as she hides.

"That's what I wanted to avoid" She sits down on the bed, embarrassed, covering everything up, and I move closer to her, sitting down with my legs tucked up and leaning on her knee, staring at her, hiding everything.

"Croix? It's OK, can I help you?" I ask in the utmost innocence to her who becomes more embarrassed.

"It's all right, I'm just very, very different down there, it's normal for something like this to happen, I only get like this when I'm well... When I really like being with you, I don't think you'd understand, that cute little face of yours, I'm imagining impure things with it and I keep feeling dirtier" Impure things? This girl is really cute.

"So you can talk, aren't we girlfriends? You don't have to keep secrets from me, look if you don't want to that's fine, I think I'll go and have a shower by myself now" I say getting up, but she holds my hand, I look at her with that fringe in front of her face, I think she doesn't want me to go yet.

What's happened now? I learnt new things very suddenly and it was so wonderful, I'm still panting under this blanket, I think we went further than we thought, I look right into her eyes and it looks like my girlfriend is in shock from what just happened, after all we didn't even have a shower to wash everything off after that.

"Chariot, what have I done?" I don't know what you did, but we can do it more often.

"So that's what girlfriends do?" I say happily.

"That's what they do... I should have kept quiet, I feel bad that I spoke in such a way that took away your innocence, I didn't mean to... But I..." I look into her eyes almost tearfully and wipe away her tears.

"I wanted to, I didn't really know what that was, but I really wanted to, this is the way we show our love for each other and I like it, there's no need to be like this Croix, every second we spend closer together only makes things better, now we have to take a shower, it's good that we're going to bed clean, this has already made me a little sleepy, what do you think about having another round after the shower?" I lie on top of her tired body.

"Chariot, it's been two hours straight like this, I'm completely drained, I just want to sleep, but let's have a bath, just please don't..." She stood up and now I can see how different she looks, she's even cute in this way, how cute this little shrunken thing is.

"Let's go and have a shower before we go to sleep" I say excitedly, heading for the bathroom, while she walks on very tired, I think this girl's energy was all used up while I was by her side, and so we turned on the shower.

"I don't know how we got to this point so quickly Chariot, I thought it would take us longer, but you and your silly way, why do you make a situation like this happen?" I think it must be natural.

"I'm only dating you, isn't it normal for girlfriends to grab each other like that?" I ask her.

"Yes, but I didn't imagine that this would really happen in such a short time of dating, really, although your mums aren't an example to follow since they started dating and were already getting it on intensely, but theirs was a desire kept for months, while I don't know, I don't know if you felt this way, but I've always repressed any form of attraction for fear of I don't know... "It was my memories and I made sure you didn't see anything you shouldn't have, I skipped the whole bit, itwas bad really, even so, that was my first time, it was the first time Croix and I felt more connected, in themidst of that magical place, it was our moment to express our pent-up feelings and finally everything couldmaterialise, anyway, rest assured that I'll avoid showing scenes like that, it was just to say that this was thefirst and to show that my love with Croix was at its peak during those days.
