Goku rushed at Vegeta, but the saiyan prince suddenly vanished and appeared behind Goku faster than he could react, and then did it again. The displaced saiyan said in shock,

"Such speed…!"

Vegeta got behind Goku one more time and then suddenly appeared in the sky, firing a galick gun. Goku began charging a kamehameha and teleported out of the way, and in response, Vegeta began firing a barrage of ki blasts at him. Goku managed to dodge them all, but just before he could fire the kamehameha, Vegeta punched him in the face, appeared behind him as he was flying back, and smashed him into the ground.

As Goku got to a kneeling position, he thought to himself,

"What kind of transformation-"

Before he could finish the thought, Vegeta floated down in front of him and threw a punch. Goku responded in kind, and the 2 collided punches twice before Vegeta punched Goku in the face, kneed him in the gut and sent him flying with a kick. He then appeared behind him and began beating him down, eventually knocking him into a building. As he struggled to get out, Goku said,

"Not bad."

As Vegeta floated down, Goku began firing a barrage of ki blasts at him, which the prince simply walked through without taking any damage. He smirked, telling the displaced saiyan,

"It seems that even with your tremendous base power, you really are nothing compared to a Super Saiyan God."

Goku then teleported behind Vegeta and attempted to fire a kamehameha at him, but the saiyan prince simply put up an energy shield, completely negating the attack. As Vegeta let down the shield, he yelled,

"Persistant bastard!"

Goku tried to rush Vegeta again, but the saiyan prince punched the air in front of him, the force of it being enough to push Goku back. However, as Vegeta was doing this, Rikku noticed something. The saiyan woman thought to herself,

'That Super Saiyan 3 transformation…something's off about it.'

At the same time, Goku teleported behind Vegeta and delivered an air punch to his side, flinging the saiyan prince into a building. Vegeta quickly rushed out of it, and as he landed, he was thinking the same thing as his mate.

'That's odd. I can't feel any strength coming off of his body. Wait. Could this "Goku" have somehow managed to utilize Super Saiyan 3 to its full potential with barely any ki loss? It doesn't matter anyway. No Super Saiyan 3 can beat a god.'

Vegeta then punched Goku into the ground and began to wail on him, hitting him with thousands upon thousands of punches. However, through the pain, Goku smirked. At that moment, Vegeta's eyes widened and he jumped out of the rater he had created. He thought to himself,

'What?! I sensed something!'

Goku then walked out of the crater and smirked. The displaced saiyan stretched a bit, reverted to base and said,

"Not bad, Vegeta. Really. That god power's something else. So I think it's time I quit the warmup and really get down to business."

"Say what?!"

Goku then looked dead into Rikku's eyes.

"Tell me Rikku, do you remember the words "To go even further beyond?!"'

All the saiyan's eyes widened as Goku began to scream, the faint roar of an Oozaru behind him. As he did, lightning began to strike in the sky. Future Pan wondered to herself,

"What's going on now?"

Resistance HQ shook along with the rest of Earth and the universe as lightning continued to rain down. The entire area was enveloped by a golden light, and space began to warp around the universe. For a few seconds the colors of the universe even seemed to invert as Goku continued powering up, before soon going back to normal.

Meanwhile in the otherworld, tears began opening in the sky, fighters like Pikkon looking up at them in shock. They could all sense the massive ki causing this, and none of them could believe that anyone could be this strong. In the Grand Kai's palace, said Grand Kai was being thrown around by the shaking, yelling,

"Whoa, I feel like I'm on a dinghy in the ocean and this big power's a hurricane!"

He then fell over, and meanwhile on King Kai's planet, the future Rikku was looking at the sky in shock. She asked herself,

"This power…why does it feel so familiar?"

Back in the living world, Goku's power burst as his body simultaneously bulked up, grew in height and grew red fur all around it, his hair grew out to his shoulders, his eyes gained red eyeliner and turned gold, and his shirt exploded. A deafening Oozaru roar was heard, and the image of a Golden Oozaru appeared behind Goku, roaring to the heavens. Even his clothes had changed, his pink armbands turning dark blue and a dark blue sash materializing where his white Obi had been, as well as

Once the transformation was completed, Goku dropped his power up stance, and the saiyans stared in awe at his new form. Goku smirked and told them,

"This…is Super Saiyan 4."

Vegeta was shocked, but quickly regained his composure.

"Super Saiyan 4? How….Tch! Don't think a powered up Super Saiyan 3 will be enough to stop me!"

Vegeta then roared as his hair and aura turned cyan-blue, the aura filling the entire universe with light. Goku was confused, wondering to himself,

"Blue hair?"

Vegeta then charged at him, but Goku blocked his punch with ease, stunning all the saiyans watching, and especially Vegeta himself. The saiyan prince then let loose a barrage of punches that didn't even phase his foe. Vegeta winded back another punch, but Goku had had enough of this. Rikku was his target. This fake Vegeta was in the way.

Taking a cue from Zamasu, he summoned a ki blade around his hand and thrusted it into Vegeta's stomach, blood spurting from the wound. Rikku, Trunks and Pan gasped in shock, and Vegeta barely managed to ask,

"You…how did you….do that…?"

While Goku didn't answer, the Zamasu within him did.

"That fool is nothing more than the opening act. No, that's too weak a metaphor. He's just the appetizer. A light introduction before we commence with the main course."

Vegeta then reverted to base form and began falling down. Rikku yelled in horror,

"Vegeta!"

Even though they had been fighting a lot lately, she still loved him. So, she flew up and caught him before he hit the ground. She then looked at Goku with fury in her eyes. For some reason, this Super Saiyan 4 form gave her the oddest sense of Deja Vu. she then tossed Vegeta over to Trunks, telling him,

"Trunks, take care of your father for me. This monster's mine."

Her hair and aura then turned the same cyan–blue color as Vegeta's had, and her hair spiked up with her power disappearing. Goku, impressed, removed his ki blade and remarked,

"So you can use that Blue form too. I'm not surprised. What is it, anyway?"

"This is the super saiyan form of super saiyan god. But we just call it super saiyan blue for short. This will be the form that defeats you!"

"Super saiyan blue, huh? Not a very creative name. Granted, I just call this form Super Saiyan 4 for convenience! But enough talking. Let's go!"

Goku then fired a barrage of ki blasts at Rikku, which were deflected swiftly. The saiyan woman then attempted to punch Goku, but the attack was tanked with no damage, and she barely dodged a swipe from her alternate self. As she kicked him, Trunks ran over to check on his father. He smiled when he saw that he was still breathing, and then looked up at Rikku and Goku's battle.

All he could see of them were streaks of blue and yellow light clashing in the sky. He remarked,

"They're completely even."

His face still on the dirt, Vegeta replied,

"No, they're not."

Trunks and Pan's eyes widened in shock as they heard a loud thud, looking to see Rikku on the floor. Rikku remarked to herself as she tried to get up,

"So strong…"

Goku then landed on a building and cupped his hands in front of himself, yelling,

"Times Ten!"

He then drew his hands to his side, and an orb of scarlet red energy appeared between his palms, shocking those watching. Goku then began chanting,

"Kaaaaaaa, meeeeeee, haaaaaaaaa, meeeeeeee….."

However, before Goku could finish charging the blast, a loud voice was heard from the sky.

"Enough! I will not allow you to act on your own any longer!"

The clouds above them were then clouded by a blinding golden light, and from that light descended a ray of it, followed by a familiar figure: The future world's Zamasu. The heroes looked at him in shock, and Goku gritted his teeth in annoyance as his partner landed on the same building as him.

"We had an agreement. Weren't we both supposed to have the honor of destroying her?"
