Ch 14 Meeting the Strange Uncle
Beneath the abandoned Temple, the Chaldean Staff was collecting data on the Leyline Network if it was used recently. Hinako was overseeing their work on the side.
Ritsuka and Mashu were looking around the cave where they met Arturia Alter in the Fuyuki Singularity. "It's been years since we've been here," Ritsuka commented.
"Yes, it has." Mashu smiles at her Husband, stepping forward to where she fought her Saber Alter during Singularity F. "This is where our story began,"
Ritsuka chuckles, wrapping his arms around Mashu's waist. "And it's where our love story began too, don't forget Mashu." He smirks.
"Stop it, Ritsuka!" Mashu giggles, feeling the Magus snuggling up to her.
"Ahem," Mashu and Ritsuka look at the Chaldean Staff, Muramasa, Tamamo, and Hinako staring at them. "As much I would love to leave you two love birds be, we still have a job to do," Hinako said, crossing her arms and tapping her finger on her upper arm.
"The director's right, you two can enjoy one another right after we're done with the survey," Muramasa commented, smirking at the couple before them.
Mashu blushed at the many eyes watching Ritsuka being loving to her. "S-Sorry everyone!" She apologizes to the people around her,
Ritsuka smiles, "Come on, I know most of you gave your significant other some attention." He said, being himself to everyone.
"Yeah, but not that much, Kohai." Hinako cleared her throat, knowing she does the same thing with Xiang Yu during their date nights.
Tamamo sighs, placing her hand on her cheeks, watching her master and Mashu's interactions. "Mikon, only if I could be one step ahead then I could've been his Wife." The Caster sighs while doing her analysis of the Leylines with her Talismans.
Muramasa could only chuckle at the Divided Spirit next to him. "I don't think you are the first one to think that Tamamo." The Saber commented,
"Yes, I do know Muramasa." Tamamo rolled her eyes at the Pseudo-Servant, returning to monitor the Leyline.
Ritsuka looks at the entrance of the cave, "Say, what's taking the others long?" He asked.
With the other group, Harry looked around the abandoned Temple. The open doors and withered walls give the small Boy a bit of a scare.
However, that was washed away when Sanzang and Midoriko stood by him. "Harry-sama, are you doing, okay?" Harry looks at Sanzang, hearing her question.
"Y-Yes, I'm doing fine Onee-san," Harry answered the Caster Servant. He looks around the area once more, unsure of what they're keeping an eye for. "Um, what are we looking for?"
Ushiwakamaru smiles, answering the young master. "We're keeping an eye for any trespassers. People who do not belong on this sacred ground," The Rider explained.
"Even if the Temple is abandoned, it's still a place that holds much importance to our Organization," Danzo continued, scanning the area for other life forms.
Harry nodded, understanding that gangs had been roaming around here. But he didn't expect that this place was important to his Father's Company. "I-I think I understand,"
"Really? That's good to hear, Harry!" The brunette Caster commented before pausing.
"Onee-san?" Harry noticed that both Danzo and Ushiwaka stopped in their tracks. He was getting a bit concerned, unsure of what was happening. "Midoriko? A-Assassin?" He looks at the two females.
Danzo went back to Harry, protecting him from whatever was coming. "Harry-dono, stay with me. There are a few Gangs here, let the others deal with these interlopers." The Puppet informed her master's Son.
Harry's eyes widen at what the Assassin told him. "W-We should g-get Daddy, Miss Mashu, and-" The young Boy closes his eyes, feeling a hand ruffling his hair.
"Don't worry, Harry. We got this cover, just stay with Assassin while me and Midoriko handle the rest." Sanzang walks forward with Ushiwakamaru, ready to confront the Gang.
Harry held onto the Puppet's hand, watching the confrontation.
Gruff laughter could be heard from the other side of the Building. Soon the two Servants saw the said Gang that was hanging around Ryuudou Temple.
The Gang turned the corner, seeing the two Servants standing in their way. "The Hell? Why are Bitches here?" A rude Man asked his Friends.
"Don't know, but they seem to be serious about something-"
"You're on private property, please leave or force will be met," Ushiwakamaru ordered, materializing her sheath on her side. "We won't repeat again,"
Harry saw that Sanzang and Midoriko had cold expressions on their faces. Then he heard one Gang member laugh, "What can two girls do? We outnumber you two to twenty, besides you got some Brat over there terrified." He points to Harry.
The two Servants remain silent, still holding their ground.
The man chuckles, waving his hand over to the Servants. "Get them,"
The members of the Gang went head straight for the two, ready to punch them.
Harry steps forward only to have Danzo grab him. "Harry-dono, don't walk to them," Danzo told the young master.
"B-But Onee-san and Midoriko need help and-"
A loud thud caught the ears of the young Boy, prompting him to turn around. Harry looks at where the two Servants are, seeing something he only saw in the Anime Draco showed him.
Ushiwaka ran through the Gang members, swinging her scabbard in the stomachs of the Men. "Hup!" She leaps in the air, doing a little twirl before landing on the ground, and swung her scabbard while the men around her enclose on the Rider.
All of the men coming at her fell to the ground after seeing a quick light. Ushiwakamaru smiles, placing her scabbard on her shoulders. "We did warn you," She said to the remaining members.
"W-What the…" Harry flinched, hearing more thuds.
The black-haired Boy looks at the other end, seeing Sanzang push a man with her palm. She jumps back, smiling at the fallen Gang members in her combat position. "Now, heed our warnings once more; leave this Temple and never return!" The Caster announces to the Gang members.
The Leader of the Gang steps back, seeing his men taken out by these strange women. "Ngh," He gritted his teeth, now knowing there was no way they could be them. "Damnit, fall back! We don't stand against these bitches!"
Everyone got up or grab their fellow man and quickly left the Temple.
Sanzang relaxed, looking at the Rider Servant placing her blade on her belt. "Well, I don't think they're coming back anytime soon." The Caster smiles at what they accomplished.
"I agree, after we show those Gang members they might think twice when coming here." Ushiwakamaru smiles at the Caster.
Harry blinks, watching the two Servants talking to each other like they've done this before. "H-How did Midoriko and Caster run like that, Assassin?" He asked, never seen a Human do anything like that except for in Animes.
He looks at Danzo wanting to know how they move like that. "Hmm, it's not my place to answer your question, young master." The Puppet responded, looking down at him. "But if you want to know, both Caster and Rider trained a very long time to move as you saw. But I strongly suggest not to copy them," She stated.
"I-I won't." Harry knows very well that he can't move like those two. However, this wasn't the weirdest thing he has seen since being with his Parents, as a matter of fact, he has questions.
"Well, I know that you weren't expecting a fight like that, Harry," Sanzang spoke as the two approached them. "Anyways, are you okay?" The Monk asked the young Boy.
Harry simply nodded to the brunette Caster's question. "I-I am, Onee-san."
Danzo looks at both Ushiwaka and Sanzang, doing a great job riding this place from interlopers. "Let's head back to master; by now the team should be finished with their evaluation." The Shinobu suggested to the two.
"Of course, we do need to report our findings to the master," Ushiwakamaru commented, agreeing with the Puppet. The Rider looks down at Harry, smiling at him. "Ready to go back to your Parents, Harry-dono?" She asked the young Child.
Harry nodded, wanting to be with them. "Okay,"
"Then let's head back, onwards!" Sanzang did a funny pose for Harry, causing him to giggle.
Back at the entrance of the Temple, Ritsuka, Mashu, and Hinako were overseeing the equipment being placed away in the van.
Tamamo, Muramasa, and Li Shuwen were on guard in case any of the rumored Gangs appeared and tried something.
Mashu looks back at the stairs leading up to the abandoned Temple. "I hope they didn't run into a Gang, they're taking a long time." The former Demi-Servant said, worried for her Son.
"Don't worry, Mashu. Harry's with Danzo, basically the best Caretaker in Chaldea." Ritsuka assures his Wife that their little Boy was safe with the Servants that accompany him.
Ritsuka then senses his Servants coming down the stairs. "And not a moment too soon," he turns around, seeing his Son holding onto Danzo as they came down the steep stairs.
"Harry, how's the patrol with Caster and the others?" Ritsuka asked the black-haired Boy.
Once the Patrol group got to the stone path, Ushiwakamaru approached her Lord/friend, reporting what had happened. "We've encountered the rumored Gangs entering and leaving Ryuudou Temple." The Rider explains to Ritsuka. "Both me and Caster have taken care of the matter and ran them off."
"What about Harry?" Ritsuka asked the black-haired General.
Ushiwaka turns to the young Lord, speaking to Danzo and Sanzang. "Harry-dono was with Danzo-dono during our confrontation with the Gangs." The Rider's blue eyes look at her master, "However, I do regret to inform you that the young master did see us fight."
Ritsuka nodded, crossing his hand. "Hmm…I don't think it's a big deal if he sees you guys fight." The master stated.
"Are you saying that Kid saw Servants fighting before?" Hinako asked her Kouhai, expecting him to be more responsible than that. "I'll have you know, Kohai that Boy is too young to understand-"
Mashu quickly steps in between the Assassin and her Husband. "I-I'm afraid you misunderstood," She quickly said to the director of the Japanese Branch. "Harry-kun is very observant. He can tell that the Servants aren't the typical People you encounter." She explains.
"Besides, he had already seen Camazotz, Oberon, and Semiramis at the British Branch," Ritsuka said, not seeing any harm in letting him see the fighting.
"And yet you don't tell the Boy about Chaldea's purpose." Hinako sighs, knowing Ritsuka would hold off information for a period of time, one example is his Parents, "It'll be a matter of time before he puts two and two together-"
"Daddy, Miss Mashu, Auntie Hinako, where are we going next?" Harry walks up to the grown-ups, interrupting their conversation.
Hinako immediately shuts her mouth before Ritsuka answers his Son's question. "We'll be heading back to the Base for now," He said to him, "We have finished our objective for today,"
"Okay," Harry smiles, letting Ritsuka pick him up,
A few days later, Harry has been exploring Fuyuki with his Family. Exploring the sights, trying Japanese food, learning the Language and History from Moriarty, and getting to know the Servants and Staff well.
Harry walks down the wooden floor of the hall, wanting to explore the Estate more. There were so many places in the large building that made him curious, however many were restricted to him said Staff and Servants.
"Fou," The Beast of Comparison barks, curious about what the young Boy was doing.
"Shhh, Fou be quiet." Harry shushes the Beast on his shoulders. "Miss Mashu and Daddy are busy today and Professor M is working with Mr. Holmes, Auntie Hinako, and Ms. Koyanskaya today." He stated.
"I want to see what's outside at the center of the Estate," Harry said to Fou, sneaking off to the other side of the hall.
Fou was curious about what Harry was going on about. "Fou, Fou,"
Harry looks at the small Creature, answering his question. "I-I can't understand you, but I get what you mean." He looks at the end of the hallway, seeing a rather large door near the right side of the wall. "Every night I hear large footsteps and a large shadow passing by my room. It kinda looks like a horse."
Fou panicked, knowing that it was either Red Hare or Xiang Yu patrolling the corridor for any intruders.
"I asked Miss Assassin and Midoriko, but they say it was nothing," Harry explains to the Beast, not convinced by what they were saying. "I am sure that someone or something is walking around the hallways. Even if the others don't believe me…"
"Fou?" Fou barks, blinking at Harry.
Harry sighs, "I did ask around, and even that blonde girl with horns and claws, but they say…"
"Eh? What are you talking about, Brat?" Ibaraki-Douji raised her eyebrow at the young Boy. "I don't know a thing about a horse-like shadow walking in the dead of night." She said, irritated by his mere presence.
Harry looks at the Onis, still determined to discover the truth, "B-But I did see it, it was huge and had four arms!" He paused, pondering if it has four arms.
Shuten-Douji merely smiles, lifting the Child's head by the chin with her claw. "Young Boy, what you thought you saw must be the trees playing tricks on you with their shadows." The Assassin explains to the young Lord. "One mustn't play Boy cries Wolf in a place like this, young master."
Ibaraki nodded, agreeing with the Leader of the Onis. "That's right, Shut-I mean Assassin!" The Berserker looks at her master's Kid, glaring at him. "Go away Brat, we're busy playing some game with you."
"B-But-"'
"Run along, little Boy, and don't get into serious trouble here." Shuten and Ibaraki walk away, heading to the Dining Hall for something to eat.
Harry remembers that many would either dismiss him or outright refuse to listen to him. "Everyone is saying I saw was just my mind playing tricks on me." He explains to the Beast of Disaster on his shoulders. "But last night, I stayed awake after Daddy and Miss Mashu said goodnight,"
"Fou?"
The young Boy smiles at Fou's statement. "Yeah, and I saw it! It was huge, like a…a…a large robot!" Harry smiles, quickly heading to the door. "I peeked out of my sliding door and followed the sounds of hoof steps and saw it enter here." He stated, touching the door with his hand.
"But Auntie Hinako and a few others were in the hall so I can go in and see." Harry stated before shaking his head, "But now that everyone's busy, I can see where this thing goes!"
"FOU!" Fou tries to stop Harry, but he already opened the door.
(Insert The Distant Wind)
Harry and Fou enter the room, but it's not what they suspect. "W-What the…" Outside was a large area filled with sand and a small river.
The young Wizard backs up, seeing the same small hall and intersection before entering the door. He rubs his eyes, seeing that it was the same large Zen Garden despite being confined to a small space. "H-How is this possible? It's bigger on the inside!" Harry stated,
"Fou…" Fou deflates, knowing there's no turning back.
The Zen Garden was beautiful, it was different than the Gardens back in the British Branch. It was tranquil and had a feeling of quietness roaming the air.
Harry walks forward before seeing that he didn't expect to bring shoes. The sand was getting into his socks before deciding to remove it and go barefoot.
The sand was surprisingly soft despite being made of sediments. "This must be how sand feels," Harry commented, liking the feeling between his toes.
Harry smiles before looking, there sitting near the small pond was something he didn't expect and yet expected. It was a large Centaur-like Creature with four arms. His body was made of metal-like material that resembled bones.
It has a flowing blue mane and tail with similar hair on each hoof. For the face was a boney mask with horns and yellow eyes.
The young Boy didn't expect something like this to be in the Japanese Branch. He has seen many strange things, by now he's used to it by now. This one was some like a video game Character come to life. "W-Woah…"
The Creature perks up his head before turning it around.
Harry quickly shuts his mouth, unsure if this Creature was friendly. If not then he's ready to bolt out of here and go to his Father.
"How interesting," The Creature spoke like a normal Human, something Harry didn't expect. "I did predict that you might come here, but my calculations have been off. I predicted that your Father might show you this place later today before heading to the Summer Festival, but things went off the rails."
"Y-You can speak?" Harry asked, still shocked to hear the Creature speak.
"Of course, I can speak, I am a Servant of your Father thus it's perfectly normal to speak." The Creature spoke to the young Boy. He then noticed he was still shocked and yet confused. "Do forgive my rudeness, I am Kuaiji Model Zero from the Synchronized Intellect Nation: SIN Lost- call me Berserker for now since you haven't learned anything yet."
Harry was taken aback by the name, Kuaiji Zero sounds like a Machine name. "A-Are you a Machine?" He asked.
Xiang Yu smiles, looking down at the little master. "Indeed, you may think of me as an Artificial Intelligence Machine, young Harry. But do think of me as your Uncle, after all, I married your Auntie Hinako."
"Y-You are!?" Harry was now really confused; how can a Human marry a Machine? And yet how can an AI exist when they haven't been invented yet? "B-But you are a Machine…did Daddy make you?" He asked, knowing his Father can make anything from the terminals everywhere.
Xiang Yu shook his head, "I'm afraid you are mistaken, young Harry. Indeed I am under Contract in your Father's name, but he did not make me." The Lostbelt Servant explains. "Now, might I ask why you are here? You know very well this is a restricted area of the Estate."
Harry gulps, knowing Berserker might report him to his Father and Mother. "Um…I was just curious since I saw you in the halls last night…"
"I see, I was careless to think my patrol would wake you." Xiang Yu sighs, placing one of his hands on his chin. "Very well, I shall ignore this and let you go on your way, young one."
"Really?" Harry blinks, looking at the Lostbelt Servant before him.
Xiang Yu nodded, "Yes, but next time do be careful; there's a reason some places are restricted to you here." The Berserker Servant advises the young master. He closes his eyes, calculating the possible outcomes of this meeting. "Within the next four or five minutes, you might be able to leave this place before you get caught by Lady Mus-Saber and meet master in the halls."
Harry didn't know what Xiang Yu was talking about, but from what he was saying it was important. "O-Okay," The young Boy said, feeling Fou pulling on his collar.
Just before Harry and Fou leave, he turns to the Lostbelt Servant. "I-It's nice to meet you…um…"
"You may address me as Uncle, young master." Xiang Yu said, seeing the young Boy nod.
"Um… it's nice to meet you, Uncle." With that, Harry left the training room, leaving Xiang Yu behind.
Musashi enters the room, hearing scampering in the distance. "Was that the little tike running around, Lord Xiang Yu?" The Saber Servant asked the Servant.
"Indeed, but need not worry. He was just greeting me," Xiang Yu responded to the once Data Lost.
The pink-haired Servant chuckles, entering the Zen Garden. "You're aware that this training room is very dangerous for him to be inside. It's lucky that the settings were in the My Room settings and-" Musashi paused before raising an eyebrow at the Lostbelt Servant. "Let me guess…you predicted him on showing."
Xiang Yu smiles, "Indeed, but let's forget this conversation and proceed with the Quest."
"Hai, hai, an afternoon training session before a steaming hot Udon Bowl will make it more delicious," Musashi smirks as she sets the training room to Material Gathering mode.
