Ch 59 The Wizard and the Demi-Servant
Day of Arrival, After the Battle with Meltryllis
Sirius groans, feeling like he has drunk some spiked Butterbeer. It's possibly the best description of how he feels right now.
"Ayus-san, how is Black-san? It's been a few Days since we've arrived and he hasn't woken up." A muffled and yet familiar voice spoke to another Person. "He wasn't tested if he has the attributes for a Rayshifting," Mashu said, worried for her Father-in-Law's Health.
Hearing some whirling sounds nearby, "Mr. Black is going to be fine, Ms. Mashu." Another voice spoke to the Demi-Servant, "His vitals are fine, and any other negative symptoms for Rayshifting aren't present. In all, he has a clean bill of Health for a Human around his Thirties."
"The reason why he hasn't woken up is simply to put it, it's his First Rayshift." The other voice spoke, explaining to Mashu.
Sirius opens his eyes, meeting with a dark-skinned Woman in a Doctor's coat with black hair dyed blue on the bottom and purple eyes. To his left, his Daughter-in-Law is standing before him. "Ah, Black-san! I'm relieved you're okay." The Wizard looks at Mashu in her Ortinax Suit sighing in relief.
"M-Mashu? Where are we?" Sirius sat up, seeing they were in a Nurse's Office, a familiar place to him. "T-This place…" He got up, pulled off the covers, and approached the Windows to see if his hunch was right.
"M-Mr. Black, you can't just stand up right away." The dark-skinned Woman said, looking at the Wizard,
Sirius reached the Windows, seeing what was located Outside. Through the Windows, the Wizard saw that it was a regular Schoolyard. A Schoolyard that was very familiar to the School he went to for a time. "This is… Homurahara Academy."
"It's the School I went to when I ran from my Family's Home and met Akari," Sirius said, feeling nostalgic just by looking at the School grounds. He then paused, turning to the two realizing where they were. "ARE WE IN FUYUKI CITY!? DOES THAT MEAN-"
Mashu quickly dismisses what Sirius was assuming. "Oh no, this isn't Fuyuki City or Homurahara Academy. This is just a Digital Simulation of a sort that Seraphix replicated with BB's assistant." She explained where they were. "In truth-"
"You're in the Repair Section of Seraphix, Mr. Black," Ayus explains, placing her hand on her chest. "Allow me to introduce myself properly, I am the Prime AI of the Repair Section, Named Ayus. I'm in charge of Medical care for Seraphix's Staff and AIs," The Ai introduces herself to the Wizard.
The shaggy-haired Man was shocked, to say the least. "Another…AI…" Sirius trails off, chuckling at the fact that all the Sci-Fi stuff he has heard about is real now. "Ha! I just can't believe that what was thought to be Science-Fiction is somehow made into reality! Man, my Son is really something else!" He laughed, being open-minded by their situation already since Russia.
"Huh?" Mashu wasn't expecting that reaction. She was expecting the whole 'this is impossible, this must be a dream' sort of shebang. "You're taking this whole situation more layback than I thought you would, Black-san." The former Demi-Servant commented.
Sirius looks at his Daughter-in-Law, answering her comment. "Considering that Ritsuka is in his Twenties, the Monsters in Russia, and the whole Spaceship thing-oh! And the Ais…I'm keeping an open mind here." The Wizard said to the least a bit surprised to some extent.
"So that's where the director gets his open mind from," Ayus commented, having been wondering where Ritsuka got his layback Personality.
The Wizard looks back outside, seeing many People who look a lot like Rani. They all wore the same Nurse Uniform, going in and out of the Academy. Off in the distance was also a familiar sight, a Church overlooking the entire Section of Seraphix.
"Black-san? Are you alright?" Mashu asked, walking up to her Father-in-Law,
"O-Oh, yes, I am. It's just this place reminds me of Fuyuki. A nostalgic feeling, if you know what I mean." Sirius smiles at the Women before him, "A-Anyways, where is Ritsuka? Is he somewhere in the School?" He asked,
Mashu looks at Ayus, trying to figure out how to explain things to him. "Well, you see, Black-san…"
"Master is not here in Repair, trust me when I say we scour the entire Section." Sirius and the others look at the entrance of the Nurse's Office, seeing a light-skinned Man with purple hair, dawned in regal attire with a golden armor plate on his chest.
"Berserker-san, you're back already." Mashu greeted Duryodhana, returning from his patrol,
"Ah, so another Servant of Ritsuka…" Sirius got a good look at the Berserker, "Gotta say, my Son really knows how to get around." He commented.
Ayus smiles at her former Servant, walking up to him. "Berserker, are the Sentinels still outside?" The AI asked the Berserker.
Duryodhana sighs, shrugging while holding his Mace in his other hand. "Yeah, there's a lot outside around the Section. Both Lancer are standing outside, guarding the School." The Hindu Hero explains to the group.
"So Ritsuka isn't here in…this Repair Section, right?" Sirius said, a bit disappointed that he wasn't with them. "Then where is here?" He asked.
The purple-haired Berserker looks at Sirius, hearing about him through the gossip of Servants. "So, you're master's Father…HA! To think I had you for a Deadbeat when master spoke about his Family Life back then."
Sirius's mouth hung open, hearing what Duryodhana said. "A-A Deadbeat?" He asked, couldn't believe what he was hearing.
Mashu flinched, quickly fixing the misunderstanding. "O-Oh, Black-san, Berserker-san wasn't aware that both you and Ritsuka had reconciled till just now." The Shielder explains to the Wizard.
"I didn't mean by anything by what I said…Sirius? Right?" Duryodhana said, picking up after Mashu. "We Servants are quite protective of our master. So when we heard of master's situation then it was obvious that we had an idea of what you're like." He apologizes, explaining to the shaggy-haired Man.
"I understand, I wasn't exactly there for him when he and Akari needed me," Sirius said, scratching the back of his head,
Ayus steps forward, clasping her hands. "Hai, hai, there's no need to start up something, here, Berserker, Mr. Black." The Prime AI said, defusing the situation. "Don't forget about the other thing."
"Other thing? What other thing?" Sirius asked, looking around for answers.
Mashu flinched, having something slip from his mind. "Oops, I forgot to mention. Ano…Black-san, we've determined that Ritsuka and Harry are in another part of Seraphix." The former Demi-Servant explains to the Wizard. "Our only option is to go further in Seraphix and search for them."
Sirius didn't need any more explanation. He was already on board to look all of Seraphix for his Son and Godson/Grandson. "Then what are we waiting for? Let's go and find them!" He was about to leave the room when Duryodhana blocked his path.
"Woah there, Sirius. Let's not do anything rash." Duryodhana said, placing his Mace on the tile floor. "Even though we're in pretty much a safe place, it's still Seraphix."
"Berserker-san is right, Black-san. There are Sentinels still around and they're programmed to target any unauthorized Personals in Seraphix." Mashu explains, looking at Sirius, and motioning to him entirely.
Sirius paused, getting what Mashu meant. Even though he's the Father of the director of Chaldea, the fact remains that he's still an unauthorized Personal. He crossed his arms, wondering what to do now. "So what's the plan here, Mashu?"
Mashu nodded, looking at the Window. "We go to the Command Room of the Repair Section first, trying to establish contact with the Storm Border." She said, going through protocols.
Walking through the Halls of the School/Medical Center, Mashu and Sirius were led by Ayus and Duryodhana to the entrance. "This really looks like Homurahara Academy, down to the bone," Sirius said, looking around at the familiar stairs and Halls.
"I remember you said that you've attended Homurahara Academy with Akari-san, Black-san," Mashu commented, looking at Sirius. "I'm curious how did you two meet?"
Sirius chuckled, remembering the time he'd laid eyes on Akari. "Oh Merlin, that takes me back, but sure." He said, not noticing Mashu's or the other two's brows raised at Merlin's Name being spoken of like Jesus. "Well, for starters I was a bit of a troublemaker when I was younger, (and still am). Anyway, It was nearing the Summer Season when School was about to end."
"So instead of going back to my backward Family for the Holidays. I decided to take a little trip." Sirius smiles, gazing at the Halls of the School. "James (Harry's Father) said that his Family was going to Japan for Holiday and his Parents invited me."
"By the time we've arrived at the Japanese Ministry of Magic, James and I snuck away to explore Japan." Sirius continued with his Story. "Eventually we came across the Academy when I saw Akari, sitting on the bench outside the Gate."
"I was smitten by her; the way she smiles and how she looks. Well, you get the picture." Sirius smiles at Mashu, smiling at him back. "Well, things lead to another and eventually I attended Homurahara Academy for a Semester and got to know Ritsuka's Mom." He said, finishing his story.
"Huh, I expected there was going to be a romantic thing like all love stories," Duryodhana commented, expecting some action love story.
Ayus smiles at her former Servant. "Not all love stories need action, Berserker." The Ai said, liking the simple meeting plot.
Duryodhana shrugs, smirking at his former master. "Well, you get what you get I suppose. At least master and Mashu's meeting is interesting."
The shaggy-haired Man turns to his Daughter-in-Law, hearing what Duryodhana said. "Now that I think about it, I never heard the full story of how you two met, Mashu," Sirius said, curious how these two met.
Mashu was caught off guard, looking at her Father-in-Law who wanted to know how she and Ritsuka met. She then smiles, remembering the moment they met. "Well, I met Ritsuka when he first started working at Chaldea when director Olga Marie Animusphere was the director of Chaldea."
"I was on standby while waiting until the other master Candidates were gathering," Mashu explains to the Wizard. "Fou came up to me, wanting me to follow him where he led me to Ritsuka."
The violet-haired Woman giggles, remembering the moment they met. "Why are you giggling, Mashu?" Sirius asked, smiling at her giggling. "Did something happen when you met him?" He asked,
Mashu nodded and couldn't help but smile at the memory. "Ano…Fou led me to Ritsuka who was leaving the Simulator." The former Demi-Servant explains to her Father-in-Law, who was eager to know what comes next.
"When I got there, Ritsuka was on the floor sleeping, most likely exhausted from the Simulation." Mashu giggles, remembering her Husband's sleeping face when they first met.
Sirius blinks at what Mashu said, he then bursts into laughter at his Son for randomly falling asleep in a Hallway. "HAHAHAHAHAHA! DID RITSUKA REALLY FALL ASLEEP IN A HALLWAY!? THIS IS JUST GOLD!" He laughs at his Son's boldness.
Mashu also laughed, still finding their first meeting to be funny as well. "It may be the start of our journey, however, that was the starting point of our relationship." She said, treasuring those memories. "Plus he saved me many times before."
"You really do love him, don't you?" Sirius said, seeing how much Mashu deeply cares for Ritsuka.
Mashu blushes, merely nodding in response. Duryodhana smirks, eyeing back at the two. "Of course, there are quite a few People who have that kind of relationship that both Mashu and Mashu have." The Berserker said, walking up to the entrance of the School.
Sirius saw that there were Shoe Lockers like the original Homurahara Academy in Fuyuki. "Even the Lockers are here," He said, remembering when he always met Akari.
The group walks past the Lockers and some Rani-Rs, heading straight to the Entrance of the School. Walking out of the door, Ayus was informing Sirius about what they were doing here at the Repair Section when Duryodhana grabbed her. "Ayus!" The Berserker pulled the Prime AI to the side as Mashu came in front of them, activating her Skills.
Bullets came raining down on them, however, each of them is heading straight for Mashu's Round Shield. "What's happening!? Who's shooting at us!?" Sirius asked, hearing Bullets echo throughout the area.
Looking up, he saw Mashu was holding her own with the Bullets. It still amazes him that despite being a Human, she can still fight and defend against Enemies. His eyes shifted, seeing pink Robots before them with Guns releasing Bullets at them.
"BB's Security Sentinels," Ayus informed Sirius, knowing he was not aware of the situation. "They are tasked to eliminate all Unauthorized Personals that made their way into Seraphix." The Prime AI of Repair looks at Sirius, motioning to his very presence.
Sirius's eyes widen, realizing what it means. "T-That means me!" He exclaims, "B-But I'm Ritsuka's Father, shouldn't that count for anything?" The Wizard asked the group.
"Not in the eyes of these Machines!" Duryodhana guided Ayus to Sirius and Mashu, using the Shield as a way to ensure his former master's safety. "Stay here, Ayus. I'll handle this noise-"
"Wait, Berserker." Ayus stopped her former Servant, seeing a shadow falling above them.
Looking above, everyone saw a silvered Armored Man dawned in a red bloody cloak. The cloak was ripped from the shoulder spikes of his Armor, his gauntlets were like the claws of a Vampire.
Speaking of a Vampire, his face was similar to one. Blood-red eyes filled with bloodlust, sharp canines resemble Fangs and his greyish blonde hair and beard only enhance his appearance of a Blood-sucker.
"TEAR THEM TO SHREDS!" Vlad III (Extra) laughs, impaling one Security Sentinel with his Spear which bursts into many Spears. "HAHAHAHA!" The Lancer laughed as he went for the other Sentinel,
Vlad III (Extra) spun his Spear before lodging it into another Sentinel, doing the same thing as the other Sentinel.
Spears burst within the Robot, destroying it from within. "AHAHAHAHAHA!"
Sirius could only watch in horror at how this Man was enjoying the Kill like a maniac. However, when he saw his eyes, one thing came out of his mouth. "V-Vampire… don't tell me he's also Ritsuka's Servants." He asked.
Mashu looks at Sirius, hearing him addressing Vlad III (Extra) as a Vampire. "Yes, Lancer is also a Servant. He may look like a Vampire, but he's not." She explains the Lancer version of Vlad Tepes's situation to her Father-in-Law. "It's just how Lancer fights but he's a good and loyal Person. I think you two might get along."
"Y-You think?" Sirius said, seeing the Lancer going off to attack the other Sentinels.
"Mashu," The violet-haired Woman, and Duryodhana turn around, recognizing the Person's voice.
The Person who was calling for her was tall with pure white skin, covered in a black suit dawned in golden Divine Armor and a red jewel in the center of his chest. He has wavy white hair, crystal blue eyes, and red eyeliner, flowing behind him was a red cape resembling that of Flames. "Lancer! It's good to see you, have you recently returned from France?" Duryodhana asked his Friend,
Karna, the Son of the Sun God Surya nodded, stepping before them. "Indeed I have, my Friend. Both me and Arj-Archer have returned once the Wyvern Nest is stable." The Lancer said, seeing that things were iffy when he'd arrived. "We got into Seraphix before the BB Protocols were activated. But we were separated upon arrival, I found myself here in Repair as for Archer…I'm not sure where he is." The Lancer stated,
"Regardless, it's good to have you here, Lancer-san." Mashu smiles at the Hero of Benefaction.
Sirius draws his attention away from the other Lancer, also hearing Karna's voice. His eyes then draw over to Karna, despite seeing everything it still surprises him how Ritsuka's Servants are unique in some ways. "Let me guess, you're another of my Son's Servants?" He asked, knowing the answer already.
Mashu introduced Karna to Sirius, "Black-san, this is also Lancer. He's one of the Servants who has a strong Bond with Ritsuka." She said, explaining to the shaggy-haired Wizard.
Karna inclined his head to his master's Father, placing his hand on his chest. "It's an honor to meet you, Lord Black. I am Lancer, a loyal Servant of your Son," The Hero of Charity greeted the Wizard,
'Talk about dignified, if anyone from Hogwarts sees him they would swoon at how cordial he is.' Sirius thought to himself before returning his greeting. "Uh…nice to meet you, Mate. I'm thankful that my Son has someone like you who is loyal."
"Forgive me, but I-no, we should be thanking you for creating master," Karna said, turning the gratitude around. "Without you and Lady Akari conceiving master, Chaldea won't be as it is. We truly are grateful, my Lord." He said with a bow.
"Wow, never have I seen this much devotion to someone before. It's a bit strange to me." Sirius said, thinking the only People who had shown this much devotion were the Death Eaters. But unlike the Death Eaters, these People seem to be the opposite of them.
Vlad III (Extra) walks up behind them after finishing off BB's Security. "He speaks the Truth, Lord Black all of us held your Son with high regard." The Lancer spoke, talking in a dignified voice unlike how he fought a moment ago.
Sirius was taken aback at how devoted Karna was to his Son, "Kinda strange at how you were a Battle-crazed Person before, then switched into a more reasonable Person." He commented to the Impaler.
"I do apologize, Lord Black if I've frightened you. I can go a little out of hand when fighting." Vlad III (Extra) apologized, knowing full well he could frighten most People. "In any case, this may be a little too late for introduction but allow me to introduce myself,"
Vlad III (Extra) held his hand to Sirius, officially greeting him. "I am Lancer because Protocols I cannot delve my True Name to you. Regardless, I was present on the Storm Border in Briefing Room Two when we arrived in Seraphix Airspace."
"Nice to meet you, Lancer," Sirius said, shaking his hand before realizing that there were two Lancers. "Lancer and Lancer, Merlin, do you guys ever get confused by how you address yourselves? I know I mentioned it before but still, it's confusing." He commented,
"Mr. Black is right, we of Chaldea may be comfortable addressing Servants by their Class Names," Ayus said, agreeing with the shaggy-haired Wizard. "However, Mr. Black is still new to this."
Mashu placed her hand on her chin, also agreeing with Ayus. "I agree with you, Ayus-san. It can be a bit difficult in most cases if we need a quick getaway." The former Demi-Servant said before hearing Karna making a statement.
"Mashu, I believe I have a solution." The Son of the Sun God said, relaying what a certain Moon Cancer once nicknamed him. "Jinako once called me Launcher at some point, if you want, Lord Black, you may address me by that Name for the time being," Karna said, offering to the Father of his master.
Sirius continued to be taken aback by how accommodating Karna was to him. "Is he always this so accommodating?" He asked everyone around him.
Duryodhana chuckles, crossing his arms. "Yeah, that's Lancer-I mean Launcher. He's always looking out for others, especially for those who need help." The Berserker explains to Sirius. "The Hero of Benefaction or the Hero of Charity, those are what People call him."
Karna looks over to his Friend, appreciating his gesture. "Thank you for those words, Berserker. In any case, now that we found ourselves in a Singularity, what is our first move?" The Lancer looks over to Mashu along with everyone, considering she's Second in Command.
"O-Oh, right, sorry. (Ahem), our goal is to try and establish communications with the Border. If we're lucky, we can make contact with either Harry-kun or Ritsuka." Mashu said, following what her Husband would do if he was here.
Vlad III (Extra) grins, liking the sound of the plan. "Yes, that's a sound Plan, Lady Mashu. And considering the Repair Section Command Room is the Church, then it's possibly the safest place for Mr. Black." He said, knowing that the Church was a Safe Zone, forgetting one crucial detail about it.
Sirius wince at the mention of the Holy Church, prompting him to raise his hand. "Uh, hate to be a thorn but the Church and my Kind (Wizards/Witches) see us as Heretics." The Wizard mentions to the Servants around him. "I know you guys are in cahoots with the Church with that…Man…anyways. The Person in charge of the Church, are they really okay with me?"
Everyone paused before looking at each other, "He does have a point, Kiara is a handful if we leave him there." Duryodhana commented, already gotten to know the Person in charge of the Church.
"Considering that Lord Black is master's Father, she would do anything to him," Karna added, also aware of what Kiara does in her Church, "I hate to think that we let master's Father be corrupted by her Beliefs."
Vlad III (Extra) sighs, placing his hand on his head. "I forgot she's in charge of the Church and the Safe Zone." The Lancer said.
Mashu closed her eyes, seeing no other option left. Turning to Sirius, she began to speak. "Black-san, though there are no Official members of the Holy Church here, the Person in charge of it is rather…"
"Unpredictable," Ayus said, finding the words to describe Kiara Sessyoin.
"Yes, so we decided to let you accompany us while solving this Singularity," Mashu said, seeing the best and safest place for her Father-in-Law to be within Seraphix.
Sirius nodded, "Yeah, I understand Mashu. I'm pretty sure my Magic isn't that effective against these Robots. So, we're still going to the Church, right?" He asked, thinking over the Plan they have.
"Yes, we have to reestablish Communications." Mashu looks at Karna, wanting him to do something for her. "Lan- Launcher-san, if you would wait at the Gate to the Transfer Section? I'm not sure, but I have a feeling that either Harry-kun or Ritsuka would come from that way."
The white-haired Servant nodded, accepting the task given to him. "I understand, Mashu. I shall meet with whoever is coming from the Transfer Section Gate." Karna said, bowing to the former Demi-Servant, leaving for the Gate to meet whoever might go through it.
They watched as the Hero of Benefaction left them for the time being, prompting them to start their journey. "Black-san, stay close to us and Lancer. Berserker has to stay with Ayus to keep the School safe." Mashu said, ready to leave.
Ayus approaches the group, inclining her head. "I wish you all luck, everyone. We'll be waiting here in the Medical Building in case you need care." The Prime AI said, wishing them a safe journey.
Sirius nodded, looking at the Church said to be the Command Room in the Repair Section. "Huh, not a far walk from here if we start to leave." He smiles, being both nervous due to the fact he's going to Church and excited about experiencing something he didn't before.
"Yes, Lord Black, the sooner we get there the better." Vlad III (Extra) said, as both he, Mashu, and Sirius traveled the road to the Church.
Unbeknownst to them, a certain Onmyoji was spying through his Shikigami on them. "Mmmm, to think I would have the opportunity to meet again." The Alter Ego smiles, "I was expecting the young master to be here, but for master's Father joining as well? This got to be the most fun I've ever encountered…hmm…"
