Adrien had just entered his father's atelier, who was busy working on a new design.
"Father, there's something I'd like to talk to you… about," he said nervously. "Can I have a few minutes of your time?"
"Yes, of course," he said without looking at him.
Adrien smiled. "Really?"
"I'll tell Nathalie to let you know as soon as I'm available."
Adrien sighed in disappointment. "It'll be too late then."
Gable then noticed that Adrien was fidgeting with his ring. "Shouldn't you be practising your piano?"
"Yes," Adrien sighed and walked away.
Once Adrien was gone instantly, what other video footage of Cat Noir from the Ladyblog on his computer? He pauses the video and rewinds it before zooming in to look closely at Cat Noir's ring. He then looks at an advertisement featuring Adrien. He zoomed in to take a closer look at Adrien's ring. He then placed the two videos side-by-side and studied the rings, noticing they were almost identical.
"That's impossible!" He gasped.
He burst out of his atelier and marched upstairs to Adrien's room. Placide I.T. noticed him standing in the doorway, and he stepped aside to allow him to enter the room.
Gabriel could hear the piano music playing in the room, but when he opened the doors to confront his son, both he and Placide I.T. gasped. Adrien was no longer in his room, and the music was recording from his phone, and that was when Gabriel noticed the window wide open.
"Nathalie!" Gable yelled, and Natalie instantly showed up next to Placide I.T. "Where is my son?!"
"Huh?!" Nathalie gulped
"Adrien has managed to leave his room without either of you noticing!" Gabriel demanded. "Find him!"
Both Nathalie and Placide I.T. then ran downstairs to start their search for Adrien.
Meanwhile, Marinette was watching an Adrien fragrance advertisement from her computer, which features him in all-white clothing running along rooftops in slow motion.
"Radiant. Carefree. Dreamy. Adrien… the fragrance," said the advert as Adrien ascended and ran through the air before finishing on a 'joyous leap' with several feathers. Marinette, we rewind the advertisement to when the announcer says 'Adrien'.
"Adrien," Marinette said, completely lovestruck.
She was so lovestruck that she was unable to finish her yoghurt. Tikki had to fly over and push the spoon into her mouth.
Meanwhile, Adrien sneaked outside in the streets of Paris to get to his destination without being noticed. Sadly, with billboards and advertisers all over the city, that was not as easy as he had hoped.
"Adrien?!" said a voice, and Adrien turned to see a young man dressed almost exactly like him. "The Adrien Agreste?! This is awesome!"
Adrien laughed nervously. "Okay, bye."
He tried to walk away, but the young man followed him.
"The first time I saw you in that ad, I told myself, 'Wayhem, I got to meet this guy. He's so cool!'" the young man said. "What if I was, like, your biggest fan?"
"Yeah… sure," said Adrien.
Wayhem then suddenly called Adrien towards him and took out his phone. "Say 'cheese'!" He then took a photo of them and started to text. "'Me and Adrien. This is the best day of my life!'"
Adrien instantly panicked. "No! Don't post it up on—" Too late, Wayhem had posted the photo on the Internet. "…the Internet."
Meanwhile, Placide I.T. was driving in the Agreste limousine, searching for Adrien.)
"You have got one new alert!" said the GPS's voice.
Placide I.T. touched on the GPS scene and saw a photo of Adrien and Wayhem. He grunted before he tracked down the location of the photo.
"New destination," said the GPS.
He then turned left and followed his new route.
At the same time, Adrien was trying to get away from Wayhem.
"Hold up! Could you autograph my cologne bottle of Adrien?" Wayhem asked and pulled out a life-size cutout of Adrien, causing him to be a little crept out. "And my life-size cutout?"
Adrien then noticed the Agreste limo behind Wayhem. "Some other time. I've gotta get going."
He then quickly ran off.
"No, wait! Adrien!" Wayhem yelled.
Nearby pedestrians had overheard Wayhem and started shouting Adrien's name in delight. Adrien stopped running when a little girl in front of him pointed at him.
"It's Adrien from TV!" she said.
"Can I have an autograph for my daughter?" a fireman asked.
Adrien quickly ran off again, now being chased by a mob of crazed fans, which included Wayhem, a man on a motorcycle, the firefighter's engine, and, strangely, a police helicopter.
"Adrien? Adrien! Adrien!" Wayhem yelled.
Meanwhile, Marinette was still daydreaming over the Adrien fragrance advertisement.
"Radiant. Carefree. Dreamy. Adrien…" said Marinette over the commercial voice.
She was suddenly snapped out of her daydream by the sound of her phone ringing. She instantly paused the video and picked it up to see that the caller was Alya.
"Marinette, I've been waiting for you for fifteen minutes!" said Alya. "Where are you, girl?"
"Uh, I was deciding which swimsuit to wear," Marinette chuckled.
She then accidentally played the video again.
Alya raised an eyebrow. " Uh-huh. And the Adrien's ad helps you pick out a swimsuit, girl?"
Commercial voice: Adrien.
Marinette laughed nervously. "Um, yeah! I'll be right there!"
Marinette immediately entered the call, grabbed her duffel bag, and ran out of the house.
"Marinette?" said Tikki, following her outside. "Marinette, haven't you forgotten something?"
Marinette skidded to a stop. "Oh! I forgot to pack my swimsuit!"
Tikki shook her head and pointed down.
Marinette looked down and instantly screamed when she realised she was still wearing her pyjamas.
"I have to change!" she said, quickly dashing back to the house only to bump into Adrien.
"Marinette?" Adrien blinked.
"Adrien?" Marinette stared.
"You live near here. Can I hide out at your place?" Adrien pleaded.
"Uh, at my place? You, hideout?" said Marinette confused. "What's going on?"
"Adrien!" said a chorus and saw several voices.
"Too late!" Adrien panicked.
Then suddenly, rushing out into the open was a huge mob of fans.
"Adrien!" Wayhem cried and then noticed him and Marinette. "There he is!"
"Come with me!" said Marinette quickly.
They quickly dashed into the Place des Vosges, and the fans soon followed.
The mob ran by the dry fountain, where Marinette and Adrien hid.
"Thank you for saving me," said Adrien, looking at Marinette quickly. "People are going crazy over this ad."
"You starred in an ad? I had no idea!" Marinette laughed. "That's awesome!"
"I don't know about that. In fact, it's really quite…" he said and then noticed that Marinette was still in her pyjamas. "…embarrassing?"
Marinette smiled awkwardly, covering herself up. "Heh! All good now! I'd better get going." She stood up, but Adrien quickly pulled her back down when he noticed the Agreste limo nearby. "Isn't that your bodyguard?"
"Actually, I-I snuck out without permission," Adrien explained. "I'm supposed to be home right now and—"
They then heard the flash of a camera and turned to see that one of the park workers had just taken a photo of them.
"'Adrien and his girlfriend in the fountain'!" he said as he posted it online.
Back at the mansion, Gabriel heard the alert on his phone.
"Adrien?" he said.
Elsewhere in the streets of Paris, the mob of fans all get the message.
"In the fountain?!" Wayhem stared.
At the swimming pool, Alya also received a message.
"With Marinette?" Alya stared.
Juleka, Mylène, and Rose all gasped when they heard the news.
As he drove around in the limo, Placide I.T. also received a message.
"You have got one new alert!" said the GPS.
He instantly turned the car and headed to the Place des Vosges, but by the time he arrived, Adrien had vanished, much to his frustration.
Both Marinette and Adrien quickly hid in the Métro, panting for breath.
"I'm so sorry I got you in this crazy mess, Marinette," Adrien apologised. "Plus, now everyone thinks you're my girlfriend!"
"Oh, that's terrible, yeah," said Marinette mocking indignantly. "I mean, no! I mean, it's not that terrible, really. Is it? Or… not? Anyway, do you think it's gonna be okay between you and your father?"
"How can anything bad happen… with my Marinette lucky charm?" said Adrien, holding the said item out of his pocket while he winked and put his left hand near his face.
Marinette gasped in happiness as she remembered giving the lucky charm to Adrien.
However, she was immediately brought back into the present by the streets of a woman on the opposite side of the subway when she noticed Adrien.
"It's Adrien from the ad! There he is!" she screamed.
Almost instantly, several of Adrien's fans appeared, taking pictures of them on their phones.
"Adrien! Adrien! Wow!" they cried.
Back in the pool, Alya and the other girls noticed more pictures of Marinette and Adrien on Alya's phone.
"Aww! They look so cute together!" said Rose.
"We can't stay here!" said Adrien.
He then suddenly grabbed Marinette's hand, which caused her to smile. He then dashed off with her from the mob, who was still chanting 'Adrien!'. They were about to reach the exit, but they noticed his bodyguard blocking their path.
He quickly turned around and headed towards the other exit, but then they saw Wayhem on the stairs and the other fans behind him.
"Yoohoo! Adrien!" Wayhem waved.
Adrien and Marinette soon realised they were now trapped, but Adrien noticed the newly arrived subway train doors wide open. He then suddenly lept inside, grabbing hold of Marinette right before it closed behind them, but accidentally dropped his lucky charm bracelet on the ground on the station.
They looked up just in time to see the fans pressing their faces against the window, but thankfully, the train began to leave.
"Adrien!" Wayhem yelled and saw Placide I.T. pulling out his phone. "Look, that's Placide I.T.!"
Suddenly, every single fan on the station began tackling Placide I.T. and taking photos of him.
"I got his phone!" Wayhem yelled, holding out the phone.
Wayhem then began scrolling down the contact lists for Adrien's phone number and found it. Sadly, Gabriel had Adrien's phone and picked it up, thinking it was Placide I.T. calling.
"Adrien?!" Wayhem yelled.
"Who are you?" Gabriel demanded angrily. "And where's my son? Return that phone this minute, or I'll have you arrested!"
Wayhem dropped the phone in surprise.
Then, one of the fans got an alert on his phone. "They got off the train at Concorde!"
Another train soon arrived behind the crowd, and the fand wasted no time getting on board, leaving Placide I.T. behind. He angrily slammed his fist on the ground but noticed the lucky charm bracelet and picked it up to examine it.
Meanwhile, Gabriel had entered his lair by the secret passage from his atelier.
"Master, you don't really think Adrien could be Cat Noir?" Nooroo asked curiously.
"I don't know," Gabriel admitted. "But he's hiding something for sure. Since his bodyguard has failed to keep an eye on Adrien, there's only one way for us to uncover his secret. Nooroo, dark wings rise!"
He then began to transform into Hawk Moth.
At their secret hideout, Nooroo was talking to both Jack and Lady P.
"Are you quite certain about this, Nooroo?" Jack asked.
"Yes, today is the day that Hawk Moth suspect Adrien to be Cat Noir," Nooroo nodded.
"Knowing our dear Gabriel, you use any means necessary to uncover the truth, including putting him in danger," said Jack.
"But he loves his son; he's always tried to avoid putting him in such danger," said Lady P.
"Not on purpose true; I fear that his desire to get a hold of the Miraculouses could easily blind him."
"So what are we going to do?" Nooroo asked.
"The first thing we need to do is track down Adrien and warn him," said Jack.
Lady P immediately turned to the monitor. "Well, that will be easy as there have been a number of posting reports of our tabby online, and we have the added bonus of Marinette being close by."
"The least of his father makes a move Marinette can jump into and help, but we better lend a hand," said Jack, turning to Nooroo. "Nooroo, light wings rise!"
Jack then began to transform into Lord Sprite.
He then immediately jumped out of the Notre Dame Tower and used his cane to swing across the city.
Back on the streets of Paris, Placide I.T. had just exited the Métro in time to see the Agreste limo about to be towed by Lieutenant Roger. In the defence of Lieutenant Roger, the car had been badly parked; in fact, it was more or less blocking the entrance to the Métro.
"Is this your vehicle?" Roger asked. "What kind of parking job is this in the middle of Paris? You think you own the streets?"
He then handed Placide I.T. a parking ticket. In anger, he crumpled it in his hand and threw it away.
"All right, take it away!" said Roger to the man in the tow truck.
The crumpled ticket then bounced off the back wing mirror and struck the back of Roger's head. Roger instantly turned angrily at Placide I.T. as he tried to get his car down, and he instantly wrote down another ticket for him.
"And assaulting a police officer on duty. This is not looking good for you!" he said, and then Placide I.T.'s phone rang and went to pick it up. "What do you think you're doing? Don't pick up!"
Placide I.T. ignored him and answered the phone.
"You have one new message," said the automatic voice on his phone.
"I'm talking to you!" Roger yelled and wrote yet another ticket. "All right, you asked for it!"
"What have you done?" said Gabriel's voice on Placide I.T.'s voicemail. "Where's Adrien? Don't tell me it's that hard to keep an eye on a fourteen-year-old boy!"
While Placide I.T. listened to Gabriel, Roger stuck another ticket on him. He instantly growled at Roger, causing him to write yet another ticket.
"Failure to comply," said Roger. "And another for bad behaviour."
"Or are you just too stupid to do something so simple? You'd better find him and fast!" Gabriel's voicemail continued.
"And another one! And another one! And another one!" said Roger, handing over more tickets.
The limo was then placed on the flatbed of the tow truck.
In his Lair, Hawk Moth could sense the massive negative emotions coming from Placide I.T.
"A failed bodyguard who can't perform his duties," he said. "Anger and frustration, perfect fodder for my akuma!" He then turned a butterfly into an akuma. "Fly away, my little akuma, and evilize him!"
He then released the akuma, and it fluttered out into the city.
The tow truck had just driven away with the limo, leaving Placide I.T. alone covered with tickets. In frustration, he punched a nearby pole but ended up hurting his own hand. He then looked at the charm bracelet, even holding it the entire time, and moments later, the akuma entered into it.
"Gorizilla, I am Hawk Moth," said Hawk Moth. "I'm giving you the tracking abilities you'll need to hunt down the person you've lost and accomplish your mission."
Placide I.T. growled, and then dark ether covered his entire body. Moments later, he transformed into a giant gorilla wearing only a pair of torn-up pants.
All the nearby citizens who saw the transformation immediately screamed and ran away. Roger turned around and saw Gorizilla approaching him.
He then began banging his chest in anger while roaring angrily. He then looked down at the charm bracelet and sniffed it. He then placed the bracelet in his pants pocket and started tracking Adrien.
Both Marinette and Adrien had managed to reach the cinema. Marinette had the brilliant idea of wearing disguises; Adrien was wearing a helmet, while Marinette wrapped a towel around her head and a pair of sunglasses.
"Good thinking, Marinette," said Adrien as they sat down. "Without these disguises, we never would have made it here."
"No. It was your idea to duck into this dark theatre, remember?" Marinette reminded him. "That was smart."
"Actually, this is where I was heading when those crazed fans suddenly showed up," Adrien admitted. "Thanks to you, my father won't find out."
Marinette looked at him, surprised. "Wait. You aren't allowed to go to the movies?"
"I am. With my bodyguard or Nathalie, of course. But I'm not sure my father would've allowed me to see this particular movie."
"Oh, no!" said Marinette, terrified. "Please don't tell me it's a horror movie! I hate horror movies!"
"No, no. Don't worry," Adrien assured her. "It's a very rare movie that I've never been able to see. It's not on the Internet and my father's hidden the only DVD somewhere at home. See, my mother played the leading role."
"Wow. I had no idea," Marinette gasped.
"It's only being shown once. Today, in this theatre," Asian explained. "I couldn't talk to my father about it, so I decided to sneak out unnoticed."
Adrien then noticed that one of the movie patrons was looking at him. He quickly turned around to avoid being recognised by the patron.
"I don't think the 'unnoticed' bit went too well, actually," said Marinette.
"Oh well," Adrien shrugged. "At least I'll get to see it. Not to mention, this is the first time I've ever come to the movies with a friend."
Marinette chuckled.
Then, suddenly, the Adrien fragrance ad appeared on the screen.
"Radiant. Carefree," said the commercial voice, much to Adrien's dread. Then he heard Marinette speaking at the same time as the advert. "Dreamy. Adrien… the fragrance."
Marinette quickly stopped herself when she realised that the real Adrien was sitting next to her. Agent chuckled in amusement, and then the film began to play.
"Ooh! It's starting!" said Marinette.
The movie appeared on the screen with the 'Graham Films' logo on a black background. The opening shows a scene of a rainy day in Paris with the text 'Production A. Bourgeois' shown on-screen.
The next scene shows a woman walking on the riverside of the Seine with an umbrella, with the text Solitude appearing next to her. Adrien gasped when he saw the text 'Emilie Agreste' in the next scene. He then removed his motorcycle helmet, which was a mistake when a nearby movie patron noticed him and began taking a photo of him and Marinette.
A movie patron immediately began texting. "'Adrien in a helmet at the movies with his girlfriend wearing a towel!'"
They immediately cut the helmet back on, but it was too late as they suddenly heard Wayhem's voice behind the entrance door.
"Adrien's at the movies!" Wayhem cried.
The door burst wide open as Wayhem jumped in, but then he was immediately run over by a mob of fans. The fans quickly surrounded both Marinette and Adrien, taking photos of them.
"We're trapped! What are we gonna do?" Adrien asked.
"Adrien likes movies. I like movies too!"
"Adrien!"
Then, suddenly, the fan stopped when they heard a loud stomping sound outside. Then suddenly, a giant hand smashed right through the ceiling, causing everyone to run and panic. The giant hand belonged to Gorizilla, who reached down and grabbed Adrien, lifting him out of the theatre building and letting him sit on his palm.
"Are you… my bodyguard?!" Adrien stared.
Gorizilla sniffed at him, and the mob began throwing food at him.
"Let go of Adrien right now!" Wayhem demanded.
Gorizilla was about to come down to attack the mob, but Aidan quickly removed his helmet. "Stop! I'm the one you wanted. Leave them alone!"
"Gorizilla! You have fulfilled the first part of your mission," said Hawk Moth telepathically. "Now, don't let go of Adrien! Not until Ladybug, Cat Noir, and Lord Sprite come to rescue him!"
Gorizilla grabbed Adrien tightly, causing the motorcycle helmet to fall and land in front of Wayhem. He then began to leap away just as Sprite arrived.
"I was too late," he cursed.
Wayhem instantly put on the helmet at his feet. "Adrien, I'm coming to save you!"
He then ran out of the door, which is an extra at the theatre.
Marinette looked at Tikki. "Adrien needs me! Tikki, spots on!"
Marinette then began to transform into Ladybug.
Wayhem was now on his bike, chasing after Gorizilla as he jumped from rooftop to rooftop.
"Put Adrien down right now!" Wayhem demanded.
"Put Adrien down right now!" Ladybug demanded as she swung after them.
"Put Adrien down right now!" Sprite demanded as he swung after them.
The two of them then swung onto the rooftop.
"Fancy meeting you here," said Sprite, looking at Ladybug.
"Glad you're here, Sprite, but what about Cat Noir?" Ladybug asked.
"Haven't seen him, but I'm sure he'll show up soon," said Sprite, sounding somewhat hopeful.
They then watched as Gorizilla began climbing up the Montparnasse Tower. Once he reached the roof, he let out a tremendous roar. The two of them quickly made their way up to the building.
"Let him go!" Ladybug yelled and threw her yo-yo at him.
Gorizilla quickly moved his hand away, causing her to miss.
"Ladybug! Sprite!" said Adrien relieved.
"They're alone!" Hawk Moth pondered. "If Adrien is Cat Noir, he'll have to transform to help her. Gorizilla, attack them!"
Gorizilla swung his hand down at the two heroes, but they quickly jumped out of the way. Ladybug then swung her yo-yo into his eyes, allowing them to land on his arm and run up to his shoulder. He tried to shake them off, but they held on tight. He tried to free Adrien from his grip, but it was too tight.
"There's no use! He's too strong!" said Adrien.
Gorizilla roared at them, causing them to fall off. Fortunately, they use their weapons to catch themselves and land on the side of the building.
Ladybug then tried to contact Cat Noir with her bug phone. "Cat Noir, where are you? We really need your help, fast! We're at Montparnasse Tower!"
"Incoming!" Sprite warned.
Ladybug looked up and saw Gorizilla stretching out his hand towards them, but they quickly ran across the face of the building. She continued to swat them, but they quickly used their weapons to roof.
"Lucky Charm!" Ladybug yelled, tossing her yo-yo into the air and materialising was a red and black spotted toy remote-controlled helicopter. "A helicopter?" She then began to open the box. "It really isn't a good time to play."
"This is starting to remind me of one of those old movies, and if I recall, it didn't exactly have a happy ending," said Sprite.
"Then let's make our own ending," said Ladybug.
Unfortunately, before either of them could do anything, Gorizilla slammed his foot down upon Sprite, pinning him to the roof. Then, just as Ladybug began to operate the helicopter, he grabbed her.
"Excellent!" Hawk Moth smiled. "Now take Ladybug's Miraculous while we wait for Cat Noir!"
Gorizilla tried to do just that but found it completely hopeless to do so as he held Adrien and Ladybug in each fist.
"At least you get your Miraculous like this," said Sprite as he struggled to free himself.
"I'm so sorry, Ladybug," he then apologised.
"Don't worry," said Ladybug as she winced. "Let me try to manoeuvre this… thing!"
While inside Gorizilla's left hand, Ladybug managed to manoeuvre the joystick of the remote to control the helicopter to distract Gorizilla. He tried to swat the helicopter away, but then it launched itself into his nostril and seconds later flew out of his offer nostril. Ladybug then guided the helicopter into his eyes, blinding him, and in frustration, he released Ladybug so that he could attack the helicopter.
"Get Ladybug back!" Hawk Moth commanded.
Ladybug quickly swung her yo-yo around Gorizilla's massive thumb in the hand which was holding Adrien.
"Hold on!" she said and then lept off the building.
She then swung into an open window and entered a business office running through the Buzzard workers who the window on the opposite end of the building.
"Sorry!" she said as she ran by.
She jumped out the window and ran back up the building to the roof. She jumped through Gorizilla's legs and landed back where she started.
"Let go of Adrien right now!" she demanded, yanking on the string.
Following on, the string caused a table inside the office to be knocked over, forcing Gorizilla's thumb away from Adrien.
"Jump, Adrien! Quick!" Ladybug yelled, and Adrien looked down at the vast distance between him and the solid ground. "You have to trust me!"
"Always!" said Adrien and then jumped out of Gorizilla's hand and over the side of the building. "Yeah-ha!"
"No!" Hawk Moth yelled.
Ladybug was about to jump off the building to save Adrien, but Gorizilla grabbed her.
"No!" Ladybug cried.
"Please tell me this was part of the plan?" Sprite pleaded, but he knew very well that this wasn't part of the plan.
Plagg hovered alongside Adrien as he plummeted towards the ground below. "If you don't transform soon, you might wind up like a gooey pile of Camembert!"
"I can't, Plagg!" he said. "Not in the open like this! I'm sure Ladybug has a plan. I trust her!"
Ladybug tried to free herself from Gorizilla's grip, but he was too strong, and Sprite was unable to free himself from beneath his giant feet.
Wayhem began running around frantically in circles, still wearing the helmet, as others looked up in horror.
"Don't be scared, Adrien! I'm gonna catch you!" he yelled, holding his hands out.
"If indeed you are Cat Noir, then transform, son. Please," Hawk Moth pleaded. He watched helplessly as Asian continued falling towards the ground, resolutely remaining as he was. "Come on, son!"
Ladybug looks down at Adrien, then raises her head, eyes closed.
"Cat Noir, help!" she pleaded.
"Don't worry, I've got this!" Sprite yelled, pulling his cane out between Gorizilla's toes and releasing his kamiko. "Go, my kamiko and save this valiant soul!"
The kamiko flew down with unbelievable speed towards Adrien and entered his ring. Adrien suddenly saw everything slowing down around him as if the entire world was going through slow motion.
"Well, Angel, you seem to have found yourself in a difficult situation," said Sprite telepathically.
"Sprite?" Adrien gasped.
"I have a warning for you; Hawk Moth suspects your Cat Noir. After you save us, you need to think of a way to cover your tracks. Think you're up for it?"
Adrien smiled. "Let's do it."
Dark ether began to cover his body, and he began to transform. He looked more or less the same apart from his clothes being bright white, and now he had a pair of angel wings. His entire body glowed with a bright light.
He then immediately flew up towards Gorizilla without wasting a second.
"Ladybug, cover your eyes!" Sprite warned.
Ladybug quickly closed her eyes just as Angel appeared over the roof. His blinding light immediately blinded Gorizilla, calling him to back away, freeing Sprite and releasing Ladybug. Angel then swooped in and grabbed her, carrying her bridal style.
He then carried her down towards the ground, and Sprite jumped off the building. Once they reached the ground, the entire crowd cheered enthusiastically.
Hawk Moth sighed in relief that his son was safe. "Gorizilla, get them back. And don't mess up this time!"
On the ground, Sprite reclaimed his kamiko, and Angel transformed back to normal.
Ladybug looked at Adrien gratefully. "Thanks for the save; you make a great superhero."
Adrien smiled. "That's nice of you to say, but the real fan should go to Sprite."
"All in a day's work," Sprite smiled.
Wayhem suddenly hugged Adrien. "Adrien? You're safe!"
Adrien chuckled nervously at Ladybug and then noticed her earrings ringing.
"Your earrings are flashing," he said. "Is there a problem?"
"It means it won't be long before I transform back," Ladybug informed him.
"She's not the only one who's about to transform back," Sprite added.
"But don't worry," said Ladybug, looking back at Adrien. "Cat Noir will be here soon to take care of things."
Gorizilla suddenly landed in front of everyone, causing the crowd to scream and run away.
"You and Sprite can leave, Ladybug!" said Wayhem, jumping in front of them. "I'll keep him at bay!"
Ladybug then took the helmet off Wayhem and put it on Adrien. "No. I want you to find a safe place to hide."
"She's right to leave this to us superheroes," Sprite agreed.
"Oh, okay," said Wayhem and ran away.
However, he stopped once Ladybug and Sprite left with Adrien. Gorizilla began to follow them, but Wayhem grabs onto Gorizilla's leg.
"You shall not pass!" he yelled dramatically. Gorizilla picked him up to examine him. "Radiant. Carefree. Dreamy. Adrien… the fragrance!"
Suddenly, he sprayed the Adrien fragrance cologne in Gorizilla's face, causing the giant ape to drop him.
"Ha ha ha! Now you won't be able to sniff out Adrien, will ya, you big hairy ape!" Wayhem yelled triumphantly. "Go ahead, try!"
Gorizilla sniffed a column with a poster of Adrien, but the fragrance that was in his nostrils made it seem like Adrien was everywhere around him. He roared in frustration and began to run away.
"I'm coming, Adrien," Wayhem yelled, hopping onto his bike and following where Ladybug, Sprite and Adrien went.
Ladybug carried Adrien, who was still wearing his helmet, until they reached a rooftop.
"I think we lost him," said Adrien.
Ladybug looked behind her. "Looks like it. Do you have any idea where his akuma could be?"
Her earrings then rang again, as did Sprite's brooch.
"You two are about to transform back," said Adrien, taking off the helmet. "So you should just leave me here, and I'll stay hidden while I wait for Cat Noir to turn up."
Ladybug put the helmet back on him. "But what if the supervillain finds you before he gets here?"
Adrien took off the helmet again. "He's my bodyguard. He won't hurt me."
"He does make a good point," said Sprite.
Ladybug then looked around and noticed someone going down into the Métro.
"Of course! I know how we can track him," she said, putting the helmet back on Adrien. "This way, I'll have enough time to find out where his akuma is!"
Once she explained her plan, she and Sprite jumped down to the ground with her carrying Adrien. Ladybug then immediately called Cat Noir, leaving a message for him about the plan.
"…so, meet us at the subway station. Adrien agreed to act as bait, but we really need you and your Cataclysm to make this work. Hurry up!" she explained, entered the call.
"What if Cat Noir doesn't turn up?" Adrien asked.
"Oh, he will! I trust him," said Ladybug confidently.
Adrien blushed as he glanced downwards and smiled. Then he heard the panting from Wayhem, who was approaching them on his bike and got an idea.
"Yeah, you're right," said Adrien. "I'm sure he'll be here."
Ladybug then headed down towards the Métro.
"And what rabbit are you planning to pull out of your hat now?" Plagg asked inside the helmet. "You can't be Cat Noir and Adrien at the same time!"
"And Hawk Moth need to see the two of you at exactly the same time to throw off any kind of suspicion," Sprite reminded. "For that to happen, you need to be in two places at once."
"And I can do just that, but I need you to trust me," said Adrien.
Sprite sighed. "I hope you know what you're doing."
Sprite jumped away, and Adrien walked in front of Wayhem's way.
"I need some help!" he said
Wayhem immediately skidded to a halt. "Adrien!"
Gorizilla heard Wayhem's screaming and headed towards where Adrien was.
Down in the Métro, Ladybug was still waiting for Cat Noir and could hear the massive footsteps.
"He's coming!" she said, hearing her earrings ring again. "Hurry up, Cat Noir."
On the surface, Gorizilla spotted Adrien wearing his helmet, unaware that it was really Wayhem now wearing Adrien's clothes. He kicked several cars' wheels to activate their car alarms, and then Gorizlla landed behind him.
"Over here!" Wayhem waved.
Gorizilla was about to grab him, but Cat Noir's staff swatted his hand away from out of nowhere. He looked around and saw Cat Noir and Sprite on the rooftops.
"Why don't you pick on someone your own size?" said Cat Noir.
"Or at least those with superpowers," said Sprite.
Gorizilla tried to grab them, but they both jumped down on the ground.
"Don't worry, 'Adrien', I won't let him touch a hair on your head!" Cat Noir vowed.
"Adrien and Cat Noir side by side," said Hawk Moth. "So I was wrong. Just as well. Gorizilla, grab Cat Noir's Miraculous and be done with him!"
Gorizilla then tried to grab the two heroes, but he quickly backed away from his hands, leading directly above the Métro station.
"Missed me! Missed me! Missed me again!" said Cat Noir.
"You really need to work on your hand and eye coordination, big guy," said Sprite.
"That's it, big guy. Come on, just a little more," said Cat Noir and then they ran directly beneath Gorizilla. "There! Cataclysm!"
With his hand now charged with destructive energy, Cat Noir touch the payment, causing it to crumble. The payment collapsed beneath Gorizilla's weight, and now his lower torso was trapped within the station.
"This is Cat Noir Express Deliveries," said Cat Noir, calling Ladybug on his cat phone. "Did you order a giant beast, M'Lady?"
"I knew I could count on you, kitty!" Ladybug beamed. "Where is Adrien?"
"He's safe," Cat Noir assured her.
"I can confirm that," said Sprite.
Ladybug then looked up at Gorizilla. "I'm very sorry, but I'm gonna have to search your pockets!" She then jumped onto Gorizilla and searched his pockets, finding the charm bracelet. "Here you are!"
She pulled it apart, and the akuma flew out and began spinning her yo-yo. "Time to de-evilize!" She swung her yo-yo, catching the akuma. "Gotcha!" She then released the now-purified butterfly. "Bye-bye, little butterfly."
She then tossed the toy helicopter into the air. "Miraculous Ladybug!"
The moment she tossed the helicopter into the air, the magical ladybugs began to swarm, repairing all the damage that had been done, and Gorizilla turned back into Placide I.T.
Ladybug quickly arrived and stood next to both Cat Noir and Sprite as he transformed back, and they then fist-bumped. "Pound it!"
"One of these days, I'll find out who Ladybug and Cat Noir really are," Hawk Moth vowed, clenching his fist. "And when I do, I'll make them pay for eternity!"
He then closed the window to his lair.
Back on the streets of Paris, Ladybug saw Wayhem.
"Adrien, are you okay?" she called.
"He's totally fine! Right?" Cat Noir assured her, briefly looking at Wayhem. "See? If I were you, I wouldn't hang around too long." Her earrings then rang again, closely followed by Sprite's brooch. "Unless you two don't mind revealing your secret identities to all of us."
"He should be fine now the danger has passed," said Sprite.
Ladybug nodded. "Bye, Adrien! Bye, kitty! Bye, Sprite! Bug out!"
She then swung away on her yo-yo, followed closely by Sprite with his cane.
Cat Noir then turned to Wayhem. "Gotta scat, too. Thanks for your help, 'Adrien'."
He then extended his staff and vaulted away.
Wayhem walked over to a nearby building; he knocked on the door, and answering it was Adrien.
Wayhem took off his mask, which was, in fact, a piece of his full Adrien cutout, out of his helmet. "That was awesome! I helped Cat Noir and Lord Sprite save Paris from that nasty big ape!"
"I knew I could count on you," Adrien smiled.
He then allowed him inside if they could switch back to their normal clothes. Once they were properly dressed, they exited the building, and Wayhem was no longer wearing the helmet.
"I'm sorry I had to ask you to stand in for me earlier," Adrien apologised. "You must think I'm not very brave."
"You kidding?" said Wayhem, putting his mask in front of his face. "I got to be in Adrien's shoes for a few minutes!" He then withdrew the mask. "A dream come true!" He then calmed down and had part of his face behind the mask. "I'm really sorry I posted that photo on the Internet. You must be mad at me."
Adrien smiled, took out a marker, and wrote his email address on the mask.
Upon seeing this, Wayhem became ecstatic. "Is that your email?"
"Yeah. If you can manage to stop running after me screaming, I'm sure we can be good friends!" Adrien ordered.
Wayhem instantly hugged the mask. "I promise, Adrien!"
Sprite had just arrived at his secret hideout just as he transformed back in and caught Nooroo in his hands. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a biscuit to eat.
"I say that when rather well," said Jack.
"Now Hawk Moth won't suspect Adrien," Nooroo nodded.
"All well and good, considering we saw how far he would go to discover his secret," said Lady P, approaching them.
"We're lucky that Adrien has so much faith in Ladybug," Jack agreed. "Though it was a close call. I hate to think what would have happened if I hadn't used a kamiko."
"Maybe it's best not to know," said Nooroo. "But I don't think you would ever intend to put his son in danger; family is really important to Gabriel."
"He may not do it on purpose, but we see firsthand he doesn't have full control over his champions," Jack pointed out. "Giving them whatever power they want with very little control is a recipe for disaster. If we weren't bound by the laws of time, we would have taken down the right now."
"But we can't, so the only thing we can do is observe and try to mediate the damage done to the space-time continuum," said Lady P. "At least until our mission is complete, but who knows how long that would take."
Marinette had finally returned to her bedroom and instantly fell on her bed, beaming with happiness.
"Oh, Tikki! I went to the movies with Adrien! It's the best day of my life!" she said and suddenly sat out when realisation hit her. "Oh no! I went to the movies… with Adrien, in my pyjamas, wearing funny glasses and a towel! Oh! It's the worst day of my life!" She then heard her phone ring. "Alya!"
She quickly picked up the phone and saw Alya with Juleka, Mylène, and Rose.
"Okay, Marinette!" said Alya. "We all saw your pics online! But we're totally lost! We need the scoop."
"Oh, right!" Marinette chuckled. "Not surprised. I'll just change, then I'll be right over! Wait, where are you?"
"At the swimming pool? We're still waiting, girl!"
Then, she and the girls all chuckled in amusement.
Adrien had just entered his bedroom and was surprised to see his father sitting on his couch.
"Sit down, Adrien," he said. Adrien complied and sat on his left. Gabriel turned on the TV with the remote, and the film Solitude appeared on the screen. "All you had to do was ask me."
"I'm sorry, Father," Adrien apologised. "I tried to talk to you, but you were so busy. In fact, I always feel like you don't want to talk at all, so—"
"You should've trusted me, son," said Gabriel gently. "It's important for you and I to be able to trust each other. If you were to begin hiding the truth from me, I'd naturally start imagining all kinds of things."
He then placed his hand on top of Adrien's hand, where he wore his Miraculous. Adrien smiled at his father, who smiled back.
"Right, Father," he said. "Thank you."
The two of them then turned back to watch the movie just as Adrien's mother peered out from under her umbrella.
Deep beneath the mansion, barely lit by lights along the side walls and what appears to be a beam of sunlight from a skylight. A catwalk extends the length of the room down the middle, and the far end of the room has a design identical to the 'butterfly window' in Hawk Moth's lair.
