The next morning…

Lelouch's eyelashes flapped like a butterfly's wing, returning to the world of reality to see that he really didn't dream that night.

He and Suzaku, the two of them… Suzaku really did come to his rescue, he really did bring him back home and tended to him, he really did kiss him, he really did… they really did… woah. He never thought, never in his wildest and fondest dreams would he ever have Suzaku. Lelouch was so certain that he only loved Euphemia, not that he would have blamed him if he did. After all, Euphemia was everything that Lelouch was not, pure, gentle, feminine, and perfect. But no, Suzaku didn't want perfection, he wanted him, and he always wanted him. Lelouch never thought he would have a chance of love.

It was odd, it really was how things changed with everything in his life, from his original plan. His sister… Euphie would make him change his mind and once again she helped his heart, she helped bring Suzaku to him. He thought he lost Suzu forever after uncovering his little secret, and so he granted his wish of remaining out of his sight. When the Knight sought after him, he originally thought it was no longer enough to remain out of his sight but to be gone altogether.

But… he saved him, saved him from that noble, and brought him back home.

"Morning Lulu~." Suzaku sang as he wrapped his arm around his precious prince.

Lulu covered his chest with a blanket.

"Good morning, Suzu. Pretty rememberable night, huh?" Lelouch breathed, stretching a little bit.

"So… since we are kissed and made up… I think it's time for us to address the elephant in the room." Suzaku decided as he looked at the woman who he once thought was a man, "I want to know what's going on with you, starting with why you decided to hide your… well."

"Simple, it was a way of survival, a way for Nunnally and I to hide… Also, well, I am not sure if I really feel like I was a woman or even a man." Lelouch answered, feeling that this was the easiest question to answer.

"Well, you have always been more than what you appeared to be. Speaking of which, why did you become Zero?"

"There are… many reasons. Because I hate my father and Britannia, because I love Japan, the place that gave me and my sister a home, because I want to give Nunna, Euphie, and you a better world and… to save you." Lelouch admitted with a faint color of blush, earning a smile from Suzaku.

"That's why you made your debut at my trial. Or why you wanted me to join you so badly. You want me all to yourself." Suzaku teased a bit.

"What can I say? I am a bit greedy-urk!"

Lelouch suddenly jolted out of bed as he cringed in pain.

"Lulu, are you okay? Wha-?" Suzaku wondered then gasped when he saw steam coming from the eye as a contact lens fell out and burned.

"Suzu, from my dresser on the top shelf… there is an eyepatch. Could you get it for me?" Lelouch requested from his love.

Suzaku did not understand what was going on but did what he asked, concerned deeply about how much Lelouch was suffering. He watched Zero take some pain medicine and water, then lay on the bed. He gave him an eyepatch as Lelouch breathed in relief.

"Thank you."

"What happened, Lelouch? Why was your eye burning like that?" Suzaku questioned, deeply concerned with him.

"It is the price I paid for selling my soul to a witch."

"What?"

Lelouch decided to sit up, knowing that Suzaku deserved to know what was going on.

"Suzu, do you remember when you cornered me and were prepared to die? But then you were compelled to live?" Lelouch began as he touched his eye patch.

"So that was you."

"Yes. I have the power to control others with one and only one command, it is called Geass." Lelouch confessed, "Now, what I am going to tell you, you can't tell anyone else."

"I promise, Lulu. Please, tell me."

Lelouch then regaled how he was forced to make a contract with the immortal CC, how he met others who had powers that CC gave in hopes of taking her code, and what limitations her powers wielded.

"Suzaku, during the SAZ meeting, my Geass reached its full evolution and… I lost control. Suzu, I accidentally geassed Euphemia."

"What? What was the command?" Suzaku questioned, needing to know everything considering the situation.

"I knew my geass was activated, but it was too late, and a command was needed. I had to place a safe and simple command. 'Every time at a meeting at SAZ, you will bring to me a peach.' It was something that no one would really think of or see as pure symbolism. I told Euphie what happened and to my surprise, she wasn't angry but concerned about my… health."

"So, am I? Your eyes are burning!" Suaku voiced.

"I'll be fine. CC says the burning will end in a couple of days." Lelouch answered.

"Lulu, why not stay in bed today? Since it's a weekend, we can treat you and Nunna to something special." Suzaku decided, wanting to talk to CC later.

In guestroom….

While Nunna and Lulu were enjoying themselves.

Suzaku told Sayoko Shinozaki and Nunna that Lelouch had to wear an eyepatch due to the incident. Though the little sister fussed over his brother, Lelouch assured her that he was fine, and they would spend the whole day together. After going out to bring some popcorn, Suzaku decided to make a side trip for CC.

"Why, hello White Reaper. How have you been?" CC greeted in a monotone voice.

"CC, what is going on with Lulu? What did you do to her?" Suzaku demanded with a cold tone.

"Oh, it seemed that he decided to tell you-."

"Yes, and you're going to tell me what's going on. Why didn't you warn her that her Geass was evolving?" Suzaku demanded.

"Simple, I had nothing to do with it and his evolution was not a natural one."

"What do you mean?"

"Another Code Bearer activated his Geass, forcing an evolution. That is why he is suffering."

"There is more than one Code Bearer?"

"You should be prepared. It seemed that whatever they planned for Lelouch, and his sister failed, and they may strike again. As for your beloved Zero, don't worry. The pain will subside once Lelouch adjusts to the evolution and the Geass heals from an early activation."

"Just one more thing… why did you choose Lulu? Why do you want her to have the code?" Suzaku questioned, but she didn't answer.

"Be prepared, White Reaper. For this isn't over and you are going to enter a new world of horror."
