Well hello! Here is a new chapter of my Azure Redi-fanfiction. I drew inspiration for this chapter from the Edogawa Konan Yūkai Jiken-episode of Detective Conan-series. I do not own the rights to the Detective Conan-series. I'm just a Dective Conan-fan and this chapter is somewhat different from the Edogawa Konan Yūkai Jiken-episode of Edogawa Konan. I start planning the next chapter. See you in the next chapter.
"Irene-chan, are you listening to me?" Ran asked Shizuka, who was watching TV, sitting on the sofa in Kogorō's study.
"What?" Shizuka asked.
"Don't say 'What?' You haven't heard from your parents in a long time since you moved here for high school. Don't you miss your parents at all?" Ran asked.
"My father is often on business trips, and my mother is also busy with work", Shizuka said.
"Don't you even get messages from your parents?" Kogorō asked.
"Of course I get messages from my parents", Shizuka said. "This is difficult, because Miyamizu Irene doesn't have a mother, or a father. My real parents live abroad".
Pom Pom! The doorbell rings.
"I'll be right back!" Ran ran to open the door.
Ran opened the door, and talked to the woman standing at the door.
"Irene-chan, your mother came to see you!" Ran said.
The woman was tall and thin. He had short, black hair, fair skin, blue eyes with glasses in front. He was 37 years old. She was wearing a purple jacket, an orange scarf, light purple pants, and black high heels. She wore a faint red lipstick. He had black gloves on his hands. On his hip was a black belt. He was holding a brown winter coat over his left arm. He had a birthmark on his left cheek.
"My mother?" Shizuka asked, standing up in surprise.
"It's been a long time, Irene-chan. Please forgive us for not having time to contact you because of work", The woman said, hugging Shizuka.
Shizuka looked at the floor nervously.
"Is something wrong?" Ran asked after seeing Shizuka's nervous expression.
"No. My daughter is just fussing because we haven't had time to contact her very often due to work since she moved here to study at Teitan Koko here", The woman said after seeing Irene's nervous expression and showed Kogorō a card with Fumiyo's name on it. "I'm Miyamizu Fumiyo. Irene-chan has to be away from school for a couple of days now to attend the family meeting".
"A family reunion? Great, Irene-chan. You get to meet your relatives by going to a family reunion!" Ran said.
"Will my uncle come to that family gathering too?" Shizuka asked.
"Yes. Your father will come to the family meeting a little later, because he will pick up a package that recently arrived at the post office here. Your father ordered that package very recently", Fumiyo said.
"Oh no! Miymizu Irene is just my alias! How does that woman know about me?!" Shizuka thought.
(Later)
Shizuka looked at Fumiyo as she sat quietly in the co-driver's chair of Fumiyo's teal passenger car.
"Who are you?" Shizuka asked.
"Heh heh! I am your mother", Fumiyo said.
"And you're not. My mother is…" Shizuka was about to say.
"Kudō Yukiko. Right. Your mother once fascinated men all over the world. Your mother was only 19 years old when she was a beautiful actress who won award after award all over Japan. But she fell in love with a young writer named Kudō Yusaku , and married Yusaku at the age of 20. Then your mother left the acting world. She later had a daughter, but Yukiko left her daughter here in Japan. Mystery writer. You're that daughter, aren't you? Kudō Shizuka-san. Yes. I know about your mother. Your mother is a former, famous actress, and when she worked as an actress she was known by her own name, Fujimine Yukiko. She was even called the Yoru no danshaku fujin. After winning every possible award, your mother married the detective writer, Kudō Yusaku, on a whim, ending her acting career. And then you were born", Fumiyo said stopping his car in front of the crosswalk at the traffic lights not turning red.
"Has the criminal organization I'm tracking down caught up with me even though I've been really careful?!" Shizuka thought worriedly.
Suddenly, someone appeared from under the cloth on the back seat of Fumiyo's car and placed a white handkerchief in front of Shizuka's mouth.
"Gloroform?!" Shizuka thought as she recognized the scent of the sweet liquid on the handkerchief in front of her mouth before falling asleep.
The owner of the handkerchief removed the handkerchief from in front of Shizuka's mouth.
"Good night, my daughter", Fumiyo said.
(A couple of hours later)
Shizuka opened her eyes to find that she was bound by ropes at the hands and feet.
Shizuka was lying on the floor of a dark room, and there was a piece of glass on the floor of the room.
"Where am I?! Oh yeah! I was kidnapped, and drugged!" Shizuka thought after musing about the situation that happened earlier in the car.
Fortunately for Shizuka, her hands were tied in front of her, so she managed to grab a piece of glass with her right hand, and used it to cut the ropes around her ankles to pieces. Then he put the piece of glass on the floor, and then he snapped the rope in his hands. He looked at the pieces of rope he had shredded into small pieces, and then saw a small hole in the door of the room.
Shizuka peeked out of the hole in the room's door into the next room to see Fumiyo talking to a person disguised as Naito Baron. There was even a boy Shizuka's age sitting on the couch in that room, wearing dark clothes and a gray cap.
"We already did the kidnapping of Kudō Shizuka, but what is the next step in the plan?" The boy asked.
"We're waiting for the boss's order, but he recently told me the next step in his plan", Naito Baron said.
"But the leader of our organization wants to brainwash Shizuka to make Shizuka one of us", Fumiyo said. "What exactly is the next step in the plan?"
"After being brainwashed, Shizuka becomes a tactician for the organization, and during the brainwashing, she forgets all her memories. However, she is allowed to continue studying in high school so that she can look for people to blackmail for us. Granted, the boss initially planned to assassinate Shizuka when Shizuka found out about our organization, but after thinking about the girl's sharp intelligence pmo came to the conclusion that Shizuka would make an excellent tactician for our organization. You don't see that kind of reasoning ability very often. Sure, there are scientists in our organization, but Kudō would be an excellent tactician for our organization. Besides, our task is to find out if there are other, unexpected things in the medicine fed to Kudō side effects. That drug made Kudō look like his mother. One of our members will bring a test subject to our meeting in our hotel room tomorrow, and we will feed him the same drug that Gin fed Kudō. Then we will tell the results of the test to the boss", Played by Naito Baro i box with blue and white medicine capsules.
"Oh, such a thing! Better pretend to be sleeping, and continue eavesdropping!" Shizuka thought settling back down on the floor to lie down.
"What are we going to do with that subject after the test we just mentioned?" The boy asked.
"He will be a great guinea pig for future research experiments", Naito Baron said. He walked towards the room where Shizuka was lying on the floor and peeked in through the hole in the door:
"The girl is still sleeping".
"Well, it's been a long day, so let's sleep too", Suggested the boy.
"Good idea", Naito Baron said.
Shizuka waited for a while, then stood up. He opened the inside pocket of his jacket, and took out a hankys mask, which he put in front of his nose and mouth. Then he took out a sleeping gas bomb from his jacket pocket, which he threw through the hole in the door into the room of his captors. Boom!
The sleeping gas bomb exploded, and the people in the room quickly fell asleep.
Shizuka took out her hairpin from her pocket, which she inserted into the lock of the door, opening the lock of the terns. Click! Shizuka pushed the door open, and walked into the room. He started looking through the things in the room until he found a couple of papers in a trash can on the floor of the room:
"Beika hotel room 260!" Shizuka took a picture of that paper with her cell phone camera. Next, he attached a listening device the size of a small jacket button under the ornament of Naito Baron's hat.
"I'm going to my house to eavesdrop on their conversation using the receiver on that listening device!" From then on, Shizuka thought about walking towards the front door of the building. He opened, and closed the door behind him. He then saw the car that Fumiyo had used to kidnap Shizuka earlier. The car in question was parked in front of the building:
"I'll delay them a bit!"
Shizuka took out her Azure Redi pistol from her pocket, which she adjusted into a knife, which she used to deflate the car's tires. Shizuka readjusted her gun, and pressed her gun's glue trigger, which she used to shoot glue into the lock of the car's rear container. Shizuka readjusted her weapon and put it in her pocket. Then he picked up a small tree branch from the ground, with which he wiped his footprints in the snow out of sight. He then walked over to the window of the room he believed he had been in earlier while tied up. The window in question was in a terraced house with only one floor. Then he started walking towards his home, leaving his footprints in the snow. After getting far from the house, he put the branch in the trash can of the nearby bus stop, and started walking along the street with people walking, his footsteps mixing with other people's footprints in the snow. After reaching her home, Shizuka went to her mother's secret room, where she had previously hidden the receiver of the listening device she was currently using. The receiver was on her mother's dressing table. He settled down to sleep on the futon he had brought into the room after putting on a respirator-protector on a nearby shelf.
(In the morning)
Shizuka woke up in the morning, and turned on the receiver.
"Huh! Looks like we slept longer than we intended. Has the girl woke up yet?" Naito Baron asked.
"I'll check it", The boy said. "Looks like girl got away while we were sleeping".
"Are you sure?" Naito Baron asked.
"I guess you could be wrong. I don't think he's hiding in the wardrobe", Fumiyo said.
"We should have just taken the girl directly to the hiding place, and started doing the brainwashing process while she was sleeping. Let's find the girl later, because now we have to go meet our colleague, and start doing the test on the subject. I want to see the result of that test in person", Naito Baron said.
For a while only footsteps were heard, but then the footsteps stopped:
"Kudō apparently decided to make sure we can't follow him with your car, Fumiyo. There's even glue stuck in the lock of the back container. Strange that there are no footprints of Kudō in the snow in the yard of this house. Did he wipe his footprints away, because only in front of that window are Kudō's footprints?" The boy asked.
"He probably escaped through the window while we were sleeping. Does he have a pickaxe that he used to open the lock on the inside of the window? Well, then we'll have to walk to the Haido Hotel, or we'll go in my car, which I parked nearby when I got here last night. I recommend, that we take my car, because the meeting is in half an hour", Naito Baron said.
Then footsteps were heard again, and finally the sound of a car.
Shizuka turned off the receiver, and then put the respirator in front of her nose and mouth. Then he put on a brown top hat. He put on his sunglasses in front of his eyes, and left his jacket in his mother's secret room, taking a brown leather jacket from there, which he put on. He took his necklace out of his pants pocket and put it around his neck under his gray blouse. He put his Azure Redi pistol in the right pocket of his mother's coat, and left his house towards Beika Hotel.
After arriving at the lobby of the Beika Hotel, Shizuka went to the hotel's tea room and ordered some tea. He picked up the menu and began reading it after paying for the tea, expecting to see something suspicious.
Finally, a big man arrived at the hotel, accompanied by a woman dressed in black clothes. The two went to the receptionist's words:
"We have a meeting at this hotel in room 260".
"Could that woman be an accomplice of the people who kidnapped me, and is that big man the guinea pig my captors were talking about yesterday?" Shizuka thought after hearing the woman's words.
"Okay. Here's your key", The receptionist said, handing the key to the woman.
"Thank you", The woman started walking with the man up the stairs to the top floor of the hotel.
Shizuka waited a little while before going to the receptionist's words:
"Excuse me, but I should meet a couple of people in room 260 of this hotel. One of my acquaintances has small masquerades there because of a very successful work assignment. It is of course a surprise for her, and I was given the responsibility for the food side of the masquerades. I planned the food for the surprise party: chops, red wine, grape juice, and for dessert I planned a fruit salad. Could you ask the kitchen assistant to deliver that order on a food cart to room 260, saying that the order came from that room?" Shizuka asked.
"Sure. I'll report the order to the kitchen", The receptionist said. "It costs 500 yen".
"Thank you very much", Shizuka said, handing the money to the receptionist. When that clerk went to the kitchen, Shizuka followed the clerk.
It took some time to prepare the food, but when the order was finally ready, Shizuka turned to the kitchen assistant:
"I'll be serving the food, and I'll surprise everyone by coming out from under the carts after they put the food on the table in the room, so could you push me under those carts into that room as well?"
"Sure", The kitchen assistant said, grabbing the handle of the cart. Shizuka moved the tablecloth on top of the cart aside, hid to sit on the shelf below the cart, and grabbed the bars of the cart with both hands.
After waiting for a while, the cart stopped, and Shizuka turned herself invisible.
Knock knock! The kitchen assistant knocked on the door of the 260 hotel room in front of him.
"What is it?" Fumiyo asked.
"Day. There was a call from this room, and a food order was requested just now", The kitchen assistant said.
"B-but we haven't ordered any food", Fumiyo said sounding a little surprised.
"Just bring it. I was already getting hungry", Naito Baron said.
The carts were pushed inside.
"Thank you very much!" Naito Baron said as the kitchen assistant left the room.
The people in the room put the food and drinks on a nearby table while Shizuka hid in the room's wardrobe waiting for the right opportunity, leaving the wardrobe door slightly ajar to observe the room events. He took out his gun, and adjusted it to glue gear, waiting for his chance.
"The chop looks really good", The boy said, looking at the chop on the table, from which he had just removed the serving hood.
"Right. Shall we open a bottle of wine?" Fumiyo asked.
"Before that, we have to personally thank the organizer of our lunch. It would be really rude not to thank him for his generosity to us", Naito Baron said.
"Is he under the cart?!" Fumiyo asked.
"He was still there a moment ago, but he hid while we looked away", Naito Baron said.
"How did he do it? Maybe he has the ability to turn invisible?" Another woman asked.
"It's not surprising at all considering it's the current Azure Redi", Naito Baron said. Then he opened the wardrobe door. "Come out".
Shizuka walked out of the wardrobe, and pointed her gun at Naito Baron with her right index finger on the gun trigger.
"I may not see you now, but I will find you, even if I have to search the entire room. When I find you, you can say goodbye to your real memories, because after being brainwashed, you will become our organization's tactician named Sherry, Kudō Shizuka!" Naito Baron said taking out his own weapon.
Pam! Shizuka and Naito Baron fired their weapons at the same time, and a toy arrow with a black suction cup on the front end came out of Naito Baron's gun. A light yellow ball of glue appeared from Shizuka's gun, which hit the suction cup bullet of the toy gun, trapping the toy arrow inside it and falling to the floor at the same time.
"Toy?!" Shizuka said in surprise, making herself visible while pointing her gun at her captors.
"Hah hah hah hah!" The captors laughed.
"Laughter?" Shizuka asked.
"Are you surprised? It's me, the world famous detective writer, Kudō Yusaku", Naito Baron took off his mask and wig, revealing his real Yusaku face. He had black, short hair, fair skin, blue eyes, and a black mustache. He had glasses in front of his eyes. He was tall, and athletic. He was 37 years old.
"Father?!" Shizuka shouted in surprise, dropping her weapon on the floor. Then he looked at Fumiyo. "So is that woman?"
"Sorry, Shizu-chan", Fumiyo removed the mask from her face, and the wig from her head, revealing her real Yukiko-face. He had fair skin, blue eyes, and long, brown hair. She wore red nail polish. He was tall, and thin, and 37 years old.
"Mother?!" Shizuka shouted in dismay, taking off her hat, sunglasses, and respirator. Then he looked at the big man. "What about that man?"
"It's me!" The man said moving his disguise to the side revealing himself to be Agasa.
"Akasa Hakase!" Shizuka said in frustration. Then he looked at the strange woman:
"What about him?"
"A long time, Shizuka-chan!" The woman took off her own disguise, revealing herself as Chikage.
"Chikage-san! So that boy is then Kaito-kun?" Shizuka asked, annoyed that she had just been pulled over.
"That's right", Kaito said taking off his disguise.
"What is going on?" Shizuka asked sitting on the couch to her right.
"My daughter doesn't recognize her own mother! I think I'm still a top-class actress!" Yukiko took off her coat, and the padding that had made her look a little different when she played Fumiyo fell to the floor of the room. "Not now. We were just worried about you".
"Yeah. We came back home after a long time and you were nowhere to be seen", Yusaku said. "Then we found the wedding dress that you had hidden in your mother's secret room, that you had sewn, which we had previously seen you wearing when you participated in the homemade wedding dress-competition".
"Before that wedding dress contest, Chikage-san called me, and told me that Kogorō now has a girl who looks a bit like me as an assistant, and who is interested in mysteries after remembering that I had called him before, and mentioned that girl. At the time, though, I still didn't know that girl was you", Yukiko said. "I did suspect that you became the new Azure Red after hearing about the new Azure Red's battles against the yoki".
"And after Hakase had told you about my appearance changing, you concocted this little prank. I thought I was in real danger", Shizuka said. "You even asked Chikage-san and Kaito-kun to participate in this prank you pulled on me".
"We just wanted to show you the danger you would be in if the organization you were tracking found out your secret", Yukiko said. "Your father planned everything".
"Yes. I drugged you with chloroform while you were talking to your mother. I was hiding in the back seat of the car your mother was driving at the time", Kaito said to Shizuka.
"Yes. We had taken everything into consideration. Even damaging the car's tires, and hiding the listening device in my hat. Now we should contact my friends at Interpol and figure out a way to get you back. You could to travel with us, ending that dangerous game of detective", Yusaku said.
"No thanks. My detective work isn't just for fun, as this is how I build my own reputation so that I won't be thought of as spreading your reputation, Mom and Dad. Besides, who's going to keep the yokai in check in the meantime if I'm traveling with you?" Shizuka asked.
"Good point, but are you sure about your decision?" Yukiko said.
"Of course I am. If I were to give up now and let your friends at Interpol restore me, then everything I've researched so far would literally be wasted", Shizuka said.
"True. Luckily your transformation didn't affect your character. Shizuka my girl, what's stopping you from traveling the world with your parents?" Yusaku asked.
Shizuka quickly glanced at Kaito, blushing slightly.
Suddenly, a 6-year-old girl with short, black hair, blue eyes, and pale skin crawled out from under the bed in the hotel room. He was a bit thin. He was wearing a purple sweater, black pants, and black shoes. She approached Shizuka, hiding behind Yukiko's leg.
"Now introduce yourself. This is your first meeting", Yukiko said to the girl hiding behind her.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Kudō Hotaru", The girl said to Shizuka.
"Who is that child?" Shizuka asked.
"Don't you remember Hotaru? Hotaru is your little sister. I sent you pictures of her after she was born", Yukiko said.
"I remember those pictures, but you didn't send me any other pictures of my little sister", Shizuka said.
"Indeed. Hotaru was at Chikage-san's house all this time, and Chikage-san brought Hotaru here after we got here, before Chikage-san brought Akasa Hakanen here", Yukiko said.
(A couple of days later)
"How was the family meeting, Irene-chan?" Ran asked.
"Very well", Shizuka said, sitting down on the sofa in Kogorō's study.
"It's great that Irene-chan has made friends Living here. One of her oldest friends has always been a bit more popular than Irene-chan in some boys' minds, so the change of scenery was clearly a positive change for Irene-chan", Yukiko disguised as Fumiyo said thinking of Kaito, whom Yukiko had seen Shizuka looking on with a blush.
"Irene-chan has mentioned it once", Ran said.
Yukiko gave Kogorō 10 million yen for taking care of Shizuka.
(Later at Haneda Airport)
"Is Shizu-chan going to be okay?" Yukiko asked.
"I guess so. We can go on a trip around the world", Yusaku said.
"Really?" Yukiko asked.
Hotaru looked at her parents, sitting to her mother's left.
"Besides, Shizuka clearly has a crush on Kaito. I guess Kaito is one of the reasons why Shizuka didn't want to travel with us", Yusaku said.
"So do you still wish that Shizuka would one day become Kaito-kun's girlfriend, and that Shizuka and Kaito-kun would one day get married?" Yukiko asked.
"Of course. I would love to see our daughter together with Kuroba Toichi's son. Shizuka had to, and Kaito's situation had to be intervened. Otherwise, those two ice heads will never end up together", Yusaku said.
"There he is!" A group of publishers shouted as they suddenly rushed into the plane, stopping in front of Yusaku.
"How did you know we were here?!" Yusaku asked in surprise.
"Your daughter told us you were here! We want sequels to your books immediately!" A publisher yelled at Yusaku.
A little later, Yusaku wrote sequels to his books on his laptop.
"Well Shizu-chan kind of got her revenge. I did suspect something like this, and I warned you about it", Yukiko said to her husband.
"Vengeful girl!" Yusaku said.
(Ran's room)
Shizuka sat on the futon on the floor of Ran's room, and looked at her phone, which she had just closed:
"I hope my parents don't scare me like that anymore, they learned a lesson after I tricked the publishers into following them!"
