Chapter one: Prologue
July 31 1980
Lily Estella Black nee Evans smiled tiredly as she held her newborn son, he looked so much like his father, but he had her sea green eyes, Lily had met her son's father a year after she had come to Hogwarts, and was sorted into Ravenclaw, it wasn't until her four year when she was approached by a third year Regulus Arcturus Black asking her to a date at Hogsmeade. Regulus was a quiet, soft spoken, young, and kind person, he wasn't a bully like his other Slytherin classmates, and did his best to avoid the troubles of being in Slytherin. Regulus and Lily continued their relationship in secret Regulus's brother Sirius Orion Black being the only one privie to this info, Regulus had been Lily's shoulder to cry on when her best friend Severus had called her a mudblood, Regulus being the kind person he would let her vent her situation with her sister. The years went by and their relationship blossomed into more, then she met Regulus's family after he graduated Hogwarts, the only one that wasn't terrible to her was Arturus Phineas Black who quite liked her and reminded her of Regulus a lot in demeanor and looks, But Walberga, Orion, and the extended family of Blacks and Malfoys hated her because she wasn't pure enough for the family, even though she was related to Salazar Slytherin himself, then she met the Blacks that chose not to follow in their forefather's footsteps and left the family for a better life people like Dorea Potter nee Black, and Andromeda Tonks nee Black, Arturus hadn't outright banished them from the family and still supported them if they needed it. She smiled down at her beautiful son, as her husband, brother-in-law, and Grandfather-in-law entered the room to met the newest Black "Hadrian Arcturus Black." she said with a thousand watt smile and misty eyes.
Regulus smiled as he held his son first "Hello Hadrian, I know you might not understand much, but me and your mum love you and are so excited to see you grow into the kind young man I know you to be." little Hadrian had picked that time to grab Regulus's pinky finger with the Heir ring. Regulus just smiled at his son as his son smiled toothless back. "I guess you can just call me your uncle Siri, or Padfoot, or Sirius, just don't call me late for dinner." Sirius said with a playful smirk.
Halloween 1981 7:25 Godric Hollow
Lily had just put Hadrian down in his crib, when she heard a loud bang take out the front door, she knelt down and began to speak to her son "mama loves you so much Hadrian, be strong, be safe." The door to Hadrian's room blew off the hinges. "Lily Black i have no need to harm my family, so step aside so I may kill the boy." Lily's eyes hardened, green eyes met red as she said "I won't let you harm my son you'll have to kill me." Voldemort gave a sinister smile at this and said "oh well I tried avada kedavra." Lily's life flashed before her, visions of an older Hadrian took her as she fell down dead, Hadrian let out a heartbroken cry "now don't cry little Hadrian soon you'll join your pathetic mother and father, avada kedavra." The green light engulfed the room, the curse rebounded hitting Voldemort in his chest and defeating him.
November 1,1981 9:45AM Wizingnot chambers
The wizarding world was up in arms about the circumstances surrounding the case of the Death Eater Sirius Black and the betrayal of Regulus Black, Lily Black, and their one and only son, young Hadrian Black. it had only been twenty-four hour since the supposed Death eater Sirius betrayed his little brother and his family, Rumors and accusations about why Sirius had done it had spread across the courtroom like wildfire, some said he did it to become the next head of The Most Ancient and Noble house of Black, some said he did it to get his hands on the mass fortune of house Black, but the majority believed Sirius had gone mad like his cousin Bellatrix, and so the Minister of Magic with the full support of the Wizingnot sent Sirius to Azkaban without a trial, in Barty Crouch's word "that mongrel Black had confessed his crimes during his interrogation." the reason they had gathered this time was what to do with young Hadrian since he was orphaned, Dumbledore had his own agenda for today's Wizingnot session to prevent Hadrian from leaving his thumb, although Albus didn't like the fact Lily had ignored the pig headed James Potter, and instead chose the handsome and kind Regulus Black, Dumbledore could still work with it, the few that could and probably would stop him were Arturus Black, Andromeda Tonks, and Narcissa Malfoy nee Black, all of these people had one thing he didn't, close blood ties to the boy. Lucius and Narcissa also had their own agenda concerning the child, get their grubby hands on Black family gold, and then there was Arturus he wanted his great grandson to live a happy life away from those who would manipulate him, people like Dumbledore and his wayward granddaughter Narcissa, and Andromeda had accompanied her grandfather to help him retrieve his great great grandchild. The wizingnot meeting started with the opening statement which was stated by lucius Malfoy lord of the Noble house of Malfoy "my fellow wizards and witches we are here to decide the guardianship of Hadrian Arcturus Black, heir to The Most Ancient and Noble House of Black."
The Wizingnot worked a lot like parliament, first you had the lower houses of wizarding england such as Macmillan, Gale, Bibsworth, and Boot, then there were the higher houses like Dumbledore, Nott, Beckett, Avery, Fonyare, and Fredrick, next you had the Noble houses like Malfoy, Crabbe, Goyle, Diggery O'malley, and Ogen, next were the Ancient and Noble houses that included Gaunt, Tibman, Lestrange, Billsworth, Cogsworth, Zabini, and Crouch then there was The Most Ancient and Noble houses, Bones, Longbottom, Potter, Greengrass, and Black. Albus started the arguments I ask the Wizingnot leave Hadrian with his muggle aunt and uncle Petunia, and Vernon Dursley." he said. The uproar was instant, it wasn't until Cyrus Avery quieted the lords and the ladies of the Wizingnot and asked "are there any other suggestions the Wizingnot would like to present." no one moved or got up. "We will put it into a vote." Barty Crouch stated, The houses of Black, Longbottom, Zabini, Greengrass, Bones, Avery, Gale, Ogen, and Beckett voted against Albus Dumbledore's suggestion while the rest of the houses voted for it, Hadrian would be staying with the muggles.
