Kaze237: This honestly looks quite promising. Though I do wonder what his 7th form is sealed - it doesn't seem to be a mental seal given what looked like a physical backlash. Would there be time skips in the near future? I imagine Rean would still wish to attend Thor's Military Academy not to 'search for himself' but to simply be reunited with his parents old classmates. That said I haven't seen much of Kuro no Kiseki to know Shizuku or how good she is but she seems like a fun character from your portrayal of her.
Glad you think so! Yes, timeskip will happen... sooner than you think lol. That's pretty much his desire, still. Things will certainly be a "little" different during CS1 considering this Rean is mentally more mature and stronger. I'm happy to know that you think that about kiddy Shizuna! She really is fun to write like this, but I'm definitely pumped to write about her other aspects in the future.
Sidenote, just revised the last chapter a bit. In any case, I hope you all enjoy Chapter 3.
As the words escaped his lips, Rean cringed and mentally cursed himself, rationality soon returning to his senses.
'Crap. I should've kept my emotions in check.'
Whether it was because he had returned as a child or not, his master's words managed to trigger the thoughts he wanted to keep in the back of his mind. Suffice it to say that the result was not ideal for either of them. There was no use in coming up with excuses and lies, and so he looked away from Yun's surprised gaze.
The regressor expected silence to follow, only for the elderly swordsman to exhale a breath and rest a hand on Rean's head.
"Rean."
What...?
His head slowly turned around to see a smile befitting of a gentle grandfather. Heartache swelled in his chest as he tore his gaze away from him to look downward.
"I believe you, and you needn't explain yourself further." He began, ruffling the boy's ivory locks. "I don't know what you exactly went through, but I know this, you did your best. The decisions you made in your life may not have always been the most ideal for you or your loved ones, but I'm sure you acted while thinking about their well-being."
The memory of his final goodbye in his own world flashed before his eyes, and he felt tears pooled in the corner of his optics.
Master Yun's smile grew a tad, stroking his head, "If you could change how you did things in the past, would you?"
An instant nod.
"Then take advantage of this opportunity you have received. I believe you'll be able to find the answer that will illuminate the darkness that clouds your heart."
"Master..."
Letting out a shaky breath, he wiped the beads of water with the sleeve of his shirt. A small smile managed to make itself known on his visage. He missed this. The wisdom and enlightenment that he could only receive through the lips of his old master.
It's not about whether or not I deserved it, I have to become happy.
Rean recalled the words of his counterpart. It felt like he was one step closer to understanding him and his actions. Calming himself, he took a breath to relax his nerves.
"You always know what to say to me whenever I feel so lost, Master Yun. Thank you."
Yun barked out a laugh and finally ruffled Rean's head, grinning. "There's no need for thanks, my boy! I'm simply doing my duties as your master."
He gave the elderly an odd look, "I'm not your disciple."
"Not yet, at least, right?" Yun flashed a grin, prompting the other to snort and roll his eyes. Though, his upturned lips said it all.
"I suppose that's true. I believe we should let the girls in, don't you think?"
"Hmm, you're right, Rean. It would be rude to keep them standing behind the door."
Amused glances were cast toward the door, and then, an 'eep' came from behind the wooden frame. The door would open to reveal Elise and Shizuna as they sheepishly stepped inside.
One look from Yun was all Shizuna needed to respond with a headshake— I didn't hear a thing, promise!
Rean couldn't help but sweatdrop, though his attention would focus on his approaching sister, more worry gleaming in her hues than before. He could guess what had caused it.
"Are you in trouble, Rean?"
"No, Elise, I'm not. I just had a talk with Master Yun since it's been some time since he last visited. He replied with a reassuring smile, adding a headpat to further convince his sister. "Right, Master?"
"Haha, indeed! We were just catching up!" The Sword Hermit added.
That seemed to do the job as she nodded her head, a tiny smile emerging from her countenance. Too bad it did nothing for the silverette, who looked at him with the faintest traces of guilt in her orbs.
"Are you still fatigued?"
He gave her a wry chuckle, "Just a bit, but I'm fine. Promise."
"Okay," and he brought out a smile from the older girl.
"I'll bring Teo and Lucio here so they can check up on you themselves, my boy. I'm certain they're still fairly worried about you, regardless of your reassurance." A tinge of mirth laced his tone as he spoke the undeniable truth.
"I-I'll come with!" Elise exclaimed and followed after their grandfather figure, leaving the two Eight Leaves practitioners alone.
"..."
"..."
Awkward silence invaded his room for the umpteenth time.
Having enough of enduring the absence of sound more than once today, Rean decided to ask, "So, do you fish?"
With the children off to Ymir Valley to fish, the adults gathered in the baron's office to discuss a matter of utmost importance. What could that matter be? Well, it was obviously regarding the boy with white hair. Sitting across Teo's desk, Yun Ka-fai thanked Lucia for pouring them tea.
"Seeing as you wanted to converse in my office, may I assume this to be a formal discussion regarding my son?" Teo smiled half-heartedly, already knowing the elderly's answer.
A grim nod would be given as Yun took a sip and sighed. Before the children departed for their fishing trip, the Sword Hermit pulled Rean away to briefly discuss his future plans, and at the end of it, they both had the same idea. Now, it was time for that idea to be brought up to his parents.
Interlacing his fingers together, the elderly man furrowed his brows and leaned in, "Correct. As you know, the change in Rean's appearance correlates to his 'awakening' yesterday. And while I am not completely certain of what exactly he possessed, I can assist him in taming the power within him."
The Schwarzers took in a sharp breath, their gazes downcast.
"How exactly...?" Teo asked after a moment of contemplation.
There was silence for some time before a heavy sigh escaped his brims. "To be honest, I'd like to say you have two options, but due to my own circumstances, you're only left with one. Your son must learn the way of the sword— my Eight Leaves One Blade Style. It is not only an eastern swordsmanship that trains the body, but it is also a discipline that hones the mind and strengthens the heart."
Surprise briefly flickered across their features. Lady Schwarzer was quick to recover and voice out her confusion.
"But that... doesn't seem like a bad option?"
"Rean would need to learn the Eight Leaves either way. I wasn't finished, though." Yun rubbed his neck, sighing. "I could either teach him whenever I visit Ymir, but that won't exactly be effective from what I've seen. In order for me to help Rean the best I can, I would have to bring him along with me to the East."
"What?!" Their eyes shot wide upon the revelation.
Before they could proceed to barrage the elder with questions, he raised a hand.
"I know what you two are thinking, and I fully understand your concerns. And as much as I dislike this option myself, a trip to the East will prove to be beneficial for the boy. I may not be able to explain it in clear detail, but you must have seen what hides behind his eyes. Haven't you, Teo?"
Teo bit his inner cheek, contemplating the elder's words. His mind went to his interactions with his adopted son. Only a day had passed since the awakening of whatever was sleeping inside of Rean, yet the baron could see, even for the briefest of moments, complexities no child should possess behind his golden hues. Teo thought it was merely his imagination until Yun popped the question.
"Dear...?" Lucia called out in worry.
Baron Schwarzer leaned against his seat, weariness painting his features. "Our boy needs help, Lucia. I would never be able to look Giliath in the eye if we made the wrong decision. I'll be damned if I allow Rean to suffer."
"Teo..." Chartreuse hues widened. Her lips formed a thin line, eventually twisting into a bitter smile as she shook her head. "Neither can I. He's our son too, after all."
"That he is..." Teo smiled, nodding. He would turn to the Sword Hermit and say, "We will accept and respect whatever Rean decides to do."
"Those were their exact words. What will you do now, my boy?"
Standing back out of earshot, Rean watched his sister and Shizuna fish while he digested the words of his Master.
A pained smile had formed on his face, 'I truly am fortunate to have such great parents.'
His regret returned and came crashing down on him. He could do nothing but silently apologize to his parents from his old timeline. Imagining the grief they experienced upon knowing his fate was too much for his heart, so he shook his head.
"You know the answer to that, Master Yun," He answered. "When do we set off?"
"Tomorrow would be ideal. We have a long journey ahead of us." The elder replied as Rean nodded.
As far as he could remember in his previous life, this might be the first time he would travel to the easternmost parts of Zemuria. It was a bit troublesome that he could no longer have the knowledge he possessed when he was Ishmelga-Rean. Everything was all too hazy to be of any use. His instincts were telling him they would prove to be useful if they were still accessible.
"Rean."
"Yes, Master?" The white-haired boy looked up at the other.
"Did you discover who your biological parents were in your past life?"
Ah. They talked about them, too, huh?
A ghost of a smile etched itself onto his visage, and he just uttered, "Yes." His smile hid the complex emotions that welled up inside him. "The Schwarzers and the Osbornes... They're both my family."
"I see." Yun regarded the regressor with a smile, ruffling his head.
"Rean, Grandpa Yun! Look at my catch!"
The two turned their heads to the girls to see the little Lady Schwarzer holding up a carp.
"Oooh, good job, kiddo! You've caught yourself a pretty big carp!" Yun exclaimed with a hearty laugh.
"Nice catch, Elise," Rean added, then shifted his gaze to Shizuna. "You changed the bait, didn't you?"
"How did you—"
The silverette wouldn't be able to voice out her surprise as Elise nodded her head excitedly, looking at the other in admiration, "Big sister is amazing! She taught me all kinds of bait for different fishies! I think big sister knows more about fishing than you, Rean!"
"Oh?" A quirk of the brow would indicate a hint of amusement in his voice. "I see, I see. I'm happy to see you two getting along, considering you were glaring at her not too long ago, Elise."
"I-I said I was sorry." The younger Schwarzer hung her head down guiltily before looking at Shizuna. "I'm sorry, big sister..."
"Come now, I thought we already passed that!" She pulled her into an embrace, glaring at the white-haired boy. "We both already apologized, so it's water under the bridge! Your mean big brother was just teasing you."
"Maybe just a bit," remarked the regressor with a smirk.
"R-Rean!"
He would be the recipient of Elise's glare, brushing it off with a chuckle. Children will be children, he supposed. Grudges come and go for them.
"Now, now, children." Master Yun chided the three gently while patting Elise's head. "I don't think Lucia has anything prepared for dinner. How about we catch some more fish and surprise her with them?"
Two out of three immediately perked up at the idea. With baits in hand, the two girls set them up before casting their line into the body of water. Rean could feel the upward twitching of his lips but remained on his spot, prompting his master to stare at him curiously.
"Will you not be fishing, my boy?"
"Hmm..." It should be fine to show off a bit, right? Grabbing his fishing rod, he set his sights on the small fishing box Shizuna brought with her. "Mind if I look through your bait?"
"Go ahead."
Giving a thankful nod, Rean rummaged through the other's bait supply.
'Jackpot.'
Rean retrieved an earthworm or two and made his way to a different part of the river. The two girls gained curious and confused looks, though their attention returned to their fishing rods when they felt a tug.
Glancing to his left.
And then to his right.
He placed the earthworm into the hook of his rod before casting it into the waters. And now, the waiting game commenced.
"Why did Rean go over there to fish?" Elise questioned innocently.
Shizuna shrugged, offering an answer, "Maybe he didn't want to intrude on our fishing spot?"
"Aww, but he fished with us here earlier!"
"Ehehe, it was just a guess!"
Ka-Fai chuckled, placing his hands on his hips as he added his two cents, "I bet he wanted to try a different fishing spot, you two. You see that look in his eyes? Rean has a plan."
The two looked in awe at the boy. It was short-lived for Shizuna, however, as she gave her master a funny look.
"You should start fishing too, Master! Don't tell me you expect just the three of us to do all the work?"
"A-Ahaha..."
"Granpa Yun..." The Sword Hermit swiveled his head away from Elise's gaze.
Shizuna wouldn't let him off the hook either, "Who was the one who suggested we surprise Aunt Lucia with our catches?"
"All right, you win... I underestimated how sharp you've become, kiddo."
She smirked and puffed her chest proudly. Meanwhile, Rean enjoyed the lack of attention as he reeled himself a snow crab. The girls continued to fish out carps and trouts, oblivious of the regressor's wandering to another fishing spot. The only one who seemed to take note and observe his actions was a wise and elderly gaze.
"That should do the trick." Rean mused after setting the snow crab as bait. He pulled and tossed his line, "And now we wait."
The Ashen shut his eyes, taking in the sound of flowing water. His muscles eased and relaxed as if for the first time in a long while, the familiar stillness of his fishing stance settling in. A wave of nostalgia came down on him, his lips forming into the faintest of smiles. He missed this feeling.
A tug occurred, and golden optics snapped open.
With perfect technique and execution, Rean took in a breath and reeled in the embodiment of riches in the fishing world.
Ka-Fai gasped. And for the first time in his life, he honestly felt his eyes bulging out in pure shock. He could never mistake those shimmering golden scales for anything else but a golden salmon!
"Oh Megami, is that what I think it is?!"
"Hmm? What's got you worked up, Master— Huh!?"
As soon as Shizuna turned her head, her jaw dropped at the sight of the golden fish wiggling out of the water, mouth captured by the regressor's hook. Rean held the line and turned to his companions, smiling innocently.
"I think I got a pretty good one."
"Whoa!"
The three were instantly by his side as they marveled at his catch. He could practically see the sparkles coming out of Elise and Shizuna. In the meantime, Yun had taken out a measuring tape for the salmon.
"Haha! I can't believe you managed to catch a golden salmon at the age of nine, my boy! And it's mighty big too!" Yun guffawed heartily, patting the boy's back for a job well done.
"How did you know which bait to use?" Shizuna questioned with a tilt of her head.
"Trial and error" was his simple but truthful answer.
Despite her pout, she accepted his response as she resumed admiring his catch. Rean managed to hear his quiet mutter of "wondering what it tastes like."
His lips briefly twitched into a grin.
'I still got it.'
Lunch had gone as one would expect after earlier events. Teo and Lucia bombarded Rean with praises and a few questions about his fishing skills and knowledge, and Elise and Shizuna threw their two cents every now and again. Though quite pleased to answer questions about his old hobbies, he had to tread carefully in answering each question. He was still a child in their eyes.
"Shizuna, can you play with little Elise for a while? Rean and I need to talk with his parents." Yun requested kindly, to which worry to color Elise's visage.
"Is Rean in trouble...?"
"No, dear. It's just a little bit of grown-up talk." Lucia soothed her youngest with a gentle smile, putting the girl's mind to rest.
Shizuna threw Rean a glance but ultimately nodded in understanding and flashed a smile. "Let's go, Elise! I'll teach you a cool trick in making snowmen!"
The idea brightened Elise's mood, gasping, "Really?"
"Mhm! Let's go!"
"Okay, big sister!"
"Don't teach her anything dangerous." Rean deadpanned as they ran off, catching their half-hearted response of acknowledgment, prompting him to shake his head in amusement. He would then settle his sights on his parents and rub his neck.
"Dad, Mom..."
"Go ahead, Rean." The kind eyes of his parents dispelled some of his unease. Teo smiled, "Tell us what's on your mind. No need to hold back on our account."
His heart felt a surge of warmth, and his lips had unknowingly formed a smile of their own. "I want to go to the East with Master Yun. Please let me go with him."
Their smile flickered to one of sadness ever so slightly, yet it soon returned to one of understanding and acceptance.
"I hate that a part of me wished that you would stay here to train." A sigh escaped Lucia's lips, smiling sheepishly before getting out of her seat and wrapping her arms around the regressor. "But know we always want what's best for you, Rean."
Teo nodded with a fatherly grin on his countenance, going over to his wife and son, "And if you think traveling and training in the East will help you, then we say go for it, son."
"Oh, but I hope you're aware that you have to constantly write us letters, okay?"
"And don't push yourself too much during your training."
"Should we start helping him pack up? I can't help but worry Rean might forget something."
"Maybe after dinner—"
Arms would wrap around his parents' frame, embracing them as he hid his visage between their figures. He shouldn't cry. There was nothing to cry about. If he did, they would worry. He didn't want them to worry. But the emotions of past regrets that crashed down without warning made his composure slip.
"Thank you..."
Their surprise melted into warmth and love as they returned the embrace. Yun watched the scene unfold with the same grandfatherly tenderness he possessed. Rean would glance at the corner, causing a set of sky-blue hues to retreat, an 'eep' ringing out as footsteps trailed off. The Sword Hermit would the facepalmed, and the regressor inwardly snorted.
Someone's receiving another scolding today.
Parting slightly from the embrace, Lucia soon gasped, a thought coming to mind.
"What's wrong, honey?"
"We would have to tell Elise about Rean's training trip..."
Oh...
"You're making a funny face, big sister."
"Hmm? Am I?" Shizuna giggled, rolling a ball of snow for the head of their snowman.
Elise stared at her with confusion written on her visage, brows scrunched as she nodded, "Yes. You have a weird smile right now."
"Hehe, I'm just excited!"
A headtilt. "About...?"
Unfortunately for Elise, her innocent question would never be answered as Shizuna continued giggling like an idiot.
'Yes! Now I'll be able to see more of his techniques while we're traveling together! I hope Master will let me tell him all about the Black God One Blade style, though. Maybe he'll be able to provide me with some insight!'
Before they knew it, evening came as the girls assisted Lady Schwarzer with preparing dinner. Rean had offered assistance to the three but was kindly rejected in favor of suggesting he start preparing his travel pack with the help of his father. When the regressor finished packing his belongings, he heard a knock on the frame.
"I'm not intruding anything, am I?" Yun asked playfully with a grin as he peeked into the room.
Rean rolled his eyes but chuckled. "You could help us pack up, Master."
"Bah. You're already finished, aren't you?"
"He has a point." Teo smiled wryly, patting his son's large traveling bag. "Are you here for Rean, old friend?" He would receive a nod.
"If you don't mind. I'd like to discuss some things about the training trip with him."
"I see," Stretching, he patted his boy's back. "I'll leave you two to it. I'll be in the kitchen to see if I can lend a hand to the mother and the girls."
The pair watched the baron leave, and as his footsteps faded into silence, Ka-Fai turned to the regressor, "You don't mind if we take a stroll first, do you, my boy?"
He smiled, "Not at all."
They would receive a chilling greeting the moment they left the mansion; the cool winds caressed their faces as they began their stroll toward Ymir Valley. Rean let himself drown in momentary nostalgia. A stray thought came to mind, wondering if he could truly enjoy himself if his memories of his past life did not return with him.
A silly thought it may be, he entertained it until a bittersweet smile stretched across his face. It left as quickly as it came, yet that didn't escape the gaze of a certain elderly man.
"Where exactly are we going, Master?" Noticing the route they were taking, Rean concluded they weren't taking the scenic route of the valley.
"You haven't noticed?" He chuckled, amusement evident in both voice and eyes. "We're heading to the woods."
"The woods...?"
"Yes," Nodding, he glanced at the regressor and flashed a smile. "Though my instincts tell me you won't need much training, I'd still like to see what level you're at, or at the very least, what your current body is capable of."
Understanding flickered in his golden hues, which made him nod in reply, "Understood."
Coincidence or not, they would arrive at the very same spot where Rean and Shizuna sparred.
The white-haired boy caught the sheathed tachi that came his way, quirking a brow. "We won't be using a bokken?"
His master simply gave a smile, "A real sword is preferable in order to bring out the true essence of your swordsmanship."
Rean had to agree, especially with his mind and soul retaining his skills and experience from his last life. An actual blade will always be and feel different from any training sword he could use. Briefly familiarizing himself with the Sword Hermit's blade, he would then unsheathe it from its scabbard.
Yun, with an observant stare, felt his eyes grow slightly wider as he watched the boy draw the blade. Any non-martial artist would probably think there wasn't anything special with how Rean drew his blade, but to the likes of the Sword Hermit, there was a difference. It further affirmed that this was no beginner but someone who had reached the realm of masters.
His hardened gaze, the familiarity of how he unsheathed the blade, and the appropriate tightness he had on the handle. There were other attributes only swordsmen could identify, but any martial arts master could tell that Rean Schwarzer was not an amateur.
"May I begin?"
"Y-Yes, go ahead."
What Yun witnessed was a sight to behold.
The familiar stance of each form of the Eight Leaves was executed with experienced, powerful, and smooth strokes. Each swing of his blade held no unnecessary movement, purple flames roaring to life as they dispersed in the night sky. It was as if he was witnessing the true and complete essence of the Eight Leaves One Blade.
No, that wasn't entirely right. It was more accurate to say he was witnessing Rean's true and complete essence of the Eight Leaves.
'There's no doubt in my mind... He reached the level of a Divine Blade in his previous life. I knew Rean would be the one to complete the Eight Leaves, but he has surpassed my expectations. This will surely motivate Shizu..."
Confusion soon came after astonishment when the Ashen ended with the Sixth Form, pants leaving his lips.
"Ha... Ha... Sorry, Master Yun. This body isn't capable of doing the Seventh Form yet." Rean said between breaths, dropping onto his backside.
Oh... "It puts too much strain on your body."
He nodded, smiling wryly, "Yeah, unfortunately." Finally recovering enough stamina, the regressor got back up, "But what do you think? Was it enough to assess my level?"
Was it enough? The knowing grin he shot the boy was more than enough to assume it was a positive response.
"I think we can improve your forms a little bit, young Divine Blade."
Rean couldn't believe his ears. He could get better? Really?
That was not something he expected to hear. That said, delight beamed from his countenance. His memory about his growth after merging with Ishmelga was hazy at best, so he wasn't exactly sure what he did that refined his techniques further. Muscle memory was his sole guide as he performed them.
But now... he can finally master the Eight Leaves once again under Yun's guidance.
"I-I... I'd like that. Thank you."
Just as expected, Elise did not take the news of Rean's training trip positively. The younger Schwarzer had been holding back her tears when her parents revealed that her brother would be leaving with Ka-Fai, but now she cried her heart out in worry after being told that his return might not return home for a long time.
"Please don't go... Why can't you train here instead...?" Elise pleaded, sniffling her sobs as she buried her face in the regressor's chest. She couldn't bear to see him leave, not after witnessing the aftermath of his first awakening.
"Elise..." Rean frowned, conflicted at the sight of the little girl sobbing.
"Eli," Shizuna crouched down at her eye level, giving the girl a warm smile. "Do you know the other reason why your big brother is leaving?"
Elise naturally shook her head.
The silverette giggled and poked her nose, "It's because he wants to get stronger, strong enough that what happened last time would be the last, and strong enough to protect you and your parents. Do you not want your brother to be strong?"
"N-No, I..." Unable to complete her words, she merely shook his head. Of course, Elise wanted what was best for Rean.
"Then don't say goodbye with a frown!" She grinned and ruffled the girl's head. "See him off with a smile!"
Elise sniffled once, then wiped her tears with her sleeves, a small smile creeping into her face. "Okay... But promise to always write us letters?"
She would hold up her pinky finger as Rean's face broke into a smile, raising his own and locking with the other's.
"Of course."
"You too, big sister!"
Blinking, Shizuna pointed at herself, "Me too?"
"Mhm... I want you to write letters to me too! I want to know if Rean's doing anything bad."
A smirk would grow onto her visage, giggling at her remark. "Okay then, Elise. That's a promise! I'll watch Rean for you and keep you up to date on what he's doing~!"
"Yay! Thank you, big sister!"
"Can you two not pretend like I'm not standing between you two...?"
Baron and Lady chuckled at their son's chagrin before pulling him into a hug. Surprised at first, he would soon smile and reciprocate their embrace.
"I'll be going now."
"Yeah. Don't be too reckless while training and always listen to what Master Yun says, alright?" Teo advised, squeezing his shoulder.
"And like Elise said, don't forget to write us letters, okay?" Lucia added. Touched by their concern, he could do nothing but nod. "Oh, and please watch over Rean for me as well, would you, Shizuna?"
Puffing her chest proudly, she smiled and giggled, "Hehe, of course! Leave it to me, Auntie!"
When her hand reached for the regressor's head, he would step away, earning a pout from his (technically) senior. Yun laughed heartily at their antics as he ruffled their heads.
"Things certainly won't be a bore with Rean tagging alone." The Sword Hermit regarded the two older Schwarzers with his signature grandfatherly smile. "Don't you two worry. I'll ensure no harm comes to Rean during his time in the East."
"Of course. I already knew that, old friend."
The elderly swordsmen then turned to his disciples. "Are you two all set?" Adjusting their bags one final time, they would nod. "Then, let us head out!"
With one last farewell to each other and promises, the trio began their journey as they left Ymir through the cable car station. Rean wasn't sure what to expect, but knowing how eccentric his master could be, he could only imagine what kind of training would fit the regressor.
"Are we heading straight to the East, Master Yun?"
"Actually, we have to make a detour before we officially start our journey."
"Where are we heading then?"
"At Calvard," Shizuna answered for their master. She would flash Rean a cheeky smirk and say, "We can't properly train if you don't have your own tachi, Rean."
"I almost forgot about that..."
Why did Yun say, "Megami?" Well since Middle Easterners in Daybreak/Kuro have another name for Aidios, and Nords revere her and the wind. I figured Easters, those who really lived in the East and not just living in Calvard, referred to the Goddess as something else entirely.
In any case, expect the chapter to be brushed up within 24 hours for any corrections and stuff. Thank you for reading this chapter!
