After school on Wednesday afternoon Barton, Buster, Lucas & Rogan were taken to the Lookout by Elias & company. They made sure to go through the wooded area route to avoid drawing unwanted attention to themselves.
"I think this'll be the 1ST time I've ever ventured outside the woods" said Barton with an excited smile.
"I think it's the 1ST time for all 4 of us. I can't wait to meet the PAW Patrol. They're sure to be surprised to see us" said Buster.
"I feel a bit nervous. Exactly how they'll respond to us is yet to be seen. You never know exactly how people will react to surprises" said Lucas with a sigh.
"I'm sure we'll be fine. If these guys say they're not hostile then I feel confident that we'll be safe" said Rogan in reassurance. Upon arriving at the Lookout everyone saw Ryder & the pups out by the open grassy area near where the training course was. Ryder was the 1ST to notice the Anthro animals which gave him a mixed reaction of intrigue & surprise.
"Hello. I didn't know we had Anthro animal residents in Adventure Bay" said Ryder.
"All 4 of us live in the woods. It's the 1ST time we've ever been anywhere like this before" said Barton.
"I see. My name is Ryder. Welcome to the Lookout. This is where me & the PAW Patrol live & operate from" said Ryder as he shook hands with the Anthro animals.
"I'm Buster the emotional support bear. With me are my best friend Lucas, my younger friend Barton & his best friend Rogan" said Buster with a smile.
"You're all dressed very nicely" said Ryder.
"Thanks. You look good in your attire too" said Lucas.
"It's part of my PAW Patrol dress code. I generally wear this when we're not busy on missions" said Ryder.
"I see 6 different breeds of canines. That's a lot" said Rogan.
"Each of us has a different role to play in the PAW Patrol. I'm Chase the police pup. My role is to ensure the safety of those who live in Adventure Bay & investigate any suspicious activity" said Chase.
"My name is Marshall. I'm the fire safety pup. Whenever there's a fire or a related disaster I help rescue those in danger" said Marshall.
"Rocky's my name. I'm the eco pup who always practices recycling & keeping the environment as clean & safe as possible" said Rocky.
"I'm Rubble the construction pup. Anytime something needs building or repairing I'm there to ensure it gets done efficiently & safely" said Rubble.
My name is Skye. My role is the air rescue pup. I fly above to spot people in trouble & assess situations while also helping those in high places get back to the ground safely" said Skye.
"Last but not least is me aka Zuma. I'm the water rescue pup who helps those in the water & also makes sure the marine creatures are occupying a clean safe area free from hazardous materials" said Zuma.
"That's amazing. If I ever get the chance I'd love to see what you can all do while on a mission" said Barton with a smile.
"Maybe you will soon. Have you met anyone else in town yet?" asked Ryder in uncertainty.
"Not yet. We still don't know how most other people would react to seeing us" said Buster.
"That makes sense. From the impressions I've got from you I'd say you're all very well behaved" said Ryder.
"Thanks. We don't hunt humans & non Anthro animals the way wildlife does. I think that's what we fear most about people's reactions because they may not understand that on 1ST impressions" said Lucas with a sigh.
"If anyone calls us about you with that misconception we'll be sure to clear up any misunderstandings" said Ryder in reassurance.
"That's a relief. Can we have a look around your home?" asked Rogan.
"Sure thing. We'll show you where everything is & how it all works" said Ryder as everyone went inside. 1 by 1 each area of the Lookout was shown to Barton, Buster, Lucas & Rogan. Ryder & the PAW Patrol gave detailed explanations of each room, its main function & all the features contained within it. Amazement & fascination filled the Anthro animals as they were shown everything.
"This is 1 incredible building. So many amazing things in here" said Barton in awe.
"I'm impressed. Never have I seen so much innovative technology under 1 roof before" said Buster.
"Me either. It's like a mix between an inventor, mechanic & tech genius' masterpiece all rolled into 1" said Lucas.
"If you built this all by yourself then you're 1 very intelligent boy Ryder" said Rogan.
"Thanks. I'm always making sure everything here is running smoothly & effectively. Anytime there seems to be a fault or malfunction I get straight on to fixing any problems" said Ryder with a smile.
"Now that you've been shown around do you want to go play or watch TV?" asked Elias in curiosity.
"I'd love to watch TV. What about you guys?" asked Barton.
"That's fine with me" said Buster.
"If nobody objects then TV it is" said Lucas with a chuckle.
"Let's see what's on" said Rogan as everyone went to watch TV. To the pups' delight there was an Apollo the Super Pup marathon of episodes airing. For the next few hours, the PAW Patrol & friends watched TV together enjoying the Apollo marathon. As early evening approached the Anthro animals headed home so they didn't get lost trying to find their way back in the dark. Angel, Colby, Constance, Elias & Kelly also headed home for dinner once again keeping quiet to everyone else about the Anthro animals. Later that night as Elias lay in bed he thought about what the reactions would be like from Cinnamon, Ronald, Terry & the adults of the mansion.
"I'm pleased to see that everyone's reacted well to our Anthro friends. I hope it stays that way. When Cinnamon, Ronald, Terry & both mine & Kelly's parents meet them tomorrow I'm sure they'll be just as fascinated as Ryder & the PAW Patrol were this afternoon. At this rate I see them assimilating into the community with open arms" thought Elias as he drifted off to sleep.
