A/N: Another short chapter.

"YOU HAD TO SAY SOMETHING!" Eddy snapped at Edd while Ed was fighting a giant before Ed took it's club and swatted it away.

"HOMERUN!" Ed cheered as the giant fell at an angle that broke it's neck on impact, killing it instantly. "I WIN! I WIN!...Can I keep this club?"

"No, Ed!" Edd answered.

"You'd only wreck everything if you had that! Gimme that thing!" Eddy demanded, only to be crushed when Ed dropped it on him.

As the three Eds were talking about the club, Delphine was standing alongside a few of the Companions of Jorrvaskr, all of them staring wide eyed at Ed's display of strength.

"That was...unbelievable." Aela commented.

"He took a club from a giant and didn't flinch." Ria said in awe.

"Then smacked it away like it was nothing." Farkas finished before turning to Delphine. "Who are those three?"

"They call themselves the 'Eds.'" Delphine began as she gestured to each of them. "The big one with a lot of strength and smell is Ed."

Ed was currently holding the club up again with one hand like it was nothing, a crumpled Eddy still attached to it while Edd scolded the dumb Ed.

"The man with the strange black hat is called Double D. And the one that is somehow still alive is called Eddy." Delphine finished.

"How do you know he's still alive?" Ria asked before they saw Eddy yell and run after Ed, who was laughing at the sudden game of tag.

"That's how. I don't know how, and looking for the answer may just make me go insane." Delphine admitted before she raised her voice. "Hey! You three! Quit goofing around and get over here!" she yelled. The Eds all looked at her before they hurried over to her and the Companions. "If you're quite done, we need to get to Whiterun. Remember?"

"Don't yell at me. Ed was the one who wanted to help out and fight the giant." Eddy huffed.

"Speaking of the giant." Ria spoke up. "While your strength is amazing, it's not nice to steal another person's target!"

"Gee, I'm sorry." Ed apologized.

"Tch. What's with the sudden apology? You sound like a milk drinking weakling." said Ria.

"There's nothing weak about being nice." Edd said in defense of Ed. Ria looked ready to retort before Aela placed her hand on Ria's shoulder.

"That's enough." she said before she stood before the others. "My friend here's just thinking about the reputation of the Companions. It wouldn't do us very good if people found out our job was done by a total stranger."

"Our apologies. We did not mean to cause any harm." Edd apologized.

"We'll simply let this matter drop. Farkas. Ria. We're returning to Whiterun!" Aela ordered. The two nodded and started to walk towards Whiterun before Aela turned to Delphine and the Eds. "Need an escort? We're all heading the same way, so we may as well travel together."

"Sounds good. So long as Ed doesn't go off and fight-ED, GET BACK HERE!" Eddy yelled when he saw his friend wrestling a Saber Cat.

After pulling Ed off the Sabre Cat, which ran away like it had just eight of it's lives, the group continued to Whiterun. As they walked, the Companions explained who they were to the Eds, their origins, their purpose and much more.

"Fascinating." Edd said as he and Ed listened. Ed was more interested in the fighting parts since they were the only bits he understood while Edd was amazed at the history, Eddy, however, didn't care much.

"Indeed. And the more difficult the job, the higher the pay." said Farkas.

Now Eddy was interested.

"Pay?! As in, with money?!" Eddy asked with a huge grin.

"Oh no. Eddy has that look again!" Edd muttered to Ed.

"Will it freeze on his face?" Ed asked as Eddy stopped in front of Aela and saluted.

"Future Companions of Jarheadscar, reporting for duty and ready to make moolah!" Eddy announced.

"You're kidding, right?" Farkas chuckled while Ria looked unamused.

"You got your ass handed to you earlier by your friend by accident. Do you really think we'd let someone as weak as you into the Companions?" Ria asked.

"Not me. Him!" Eddy said while pointing at Ed, who was staring at the flies buzzing around his head. The other Companions and Delphine all looked at Ed, making him grin and wave at them.

"HELLO!"

"So, when can he start?!" Eddy asked before he started to gasp for air when Ria grabbed him by the throat.

"There's only so far you can take a joke before it crosses a line!" she snarled. "And also, we're the Companions of Jorrvaskr!"

"Ria, put him down." Aela ordered.

"But this little bastard keeps-"

"Now, Ria!" Aela said in a stern tone. Ria grumbled before she released Eddy, making him gag and gasp for air as he clutched his throat.

"Listen here. Eddy, was it?" Farkas spoke up. "Your friend here is strong, but brute strength isn't everything to the Companions. It takes skill, wit, loyalty and respect from the others. And even if your friend has all that, it's all pointless if you don't get approved by Kodlak Whitemane."

"Ah yes. The Harbinger of the Companions." Edd said in remembrance. "He is whom you all see as a leader, despite it not being his official title, correct?"

"That's right. And if he says no, then that's that." Aela said as they made their way to the front gate of Whiterun.

"Halt!" one of the guards shouted as he approached them. "Whiterun's gates are closed due to the dragon's flying about."

"You just let us out about an hour ago." Aela told him.

"Oh! My apologies! It's you!" he said in recognition. "You and your fellow Companions may enter!"

"And them?" Farkas asked while gesturing to Delphine and the Eds.

"If they're with you, then they may enter!" the guard answered before he and his fellow guard stood aside.

"How is keeping the gate shut going to protect a city from something that flies?" Eddy asked as they stepped into the city of Whiterun. They took one look past the gate and the three Eds said the one word that came to their minds.

"Coooool!"
