NOTES!

Back at it almost immediately with chapter 2! (I ain't no adult, im in high school still so i have way more than enough free time to make chapters.) This time it will include Naoto trying to buy some things at a Store, but little does he know, someone Is about to bother him on a non-school day! Although, she won't be bothering him in a teasing way!

Again, this is all a side story, so don't mistake it as a thing that happens RIGHT after the recent chapters of the Manga or Anime.

ANOTHER NOTE: U.S. Things will be mentioned at times, and when it is mentioned it will have a * next to it, so at the end of the chapter, there will be a definition, as per usual.

FINAL NOTE: I added ' to Thinking, and " To Talking. Plus, i will reference things from the Manga and Anime, so those can be defined at the end too.

Chapter 2: Yoshi

It was a typical, Normal day for Naoto Hachiouji. There was no School, so there was no Nagatoro bothering him. He had been feeling exhausted after trying to get his drumset home the other day...

Yesterday:

"Jeez, maybe i shouldn't have brought this thing to the Art Club." Naoto said as he slowly but surely got the Drumset in his garage after carrying some parts and going back and fourth, from home to school to get it home.

"Phew! Finally, all done!" said Naoto, as he sat on his sofa and relaxed. After he had settled down and began relaxing, his mom approached him.

"Oh Nao-kun," His mother started. "We seem to be out of Some items in the house. Do you mind going to the store on your off day and getting some food?"

"Yeah mom, i can." Naoto responded.

"Oh thank you Nao-kun!" His mom gave him a hug and went about to start Dinner. "I'll start dinner with whatever we have left for now, You can settle down for the time being."

He nodded and went up to the bathroom to wash up.

Present:

'Huh, mom did ask me to get some food.' Naoto thought to himself. 'She got me $100* in Yen and some extra for myself, as thanks for going.'

"She gave me the list of things. Bread, Milk, Chicken, and a bunch more. I know one childhood place i can find these things at: Family Dollar.*"

Naoto thought that his childhood retail store, Family Dollar, would be a perfect option for the items in the house. It may have been an unknown store, buy they had a lot to offer. From Gift Cards, to Phone plans, to useful Food, rare Candy, Limited offers, Keyboards, a lot of things. It was the perfect store for some people who lived at a quiet part of town like Naoto.

Naoto went to his room and got on a hoodie and some Sweats, before walking out the house and going to Family Dollar.

'Hm, what can i listen to?' Naoto thought, as he pulled out his phone and went on Spotify.*

"Shinedown?* Nah.."

"Taproot?* No.."

"Three Days Grace?* Nope.."

"Maybe some Artists like Post Malone?* Taylor Swift?* I really don't know what to listen to.."

"Ah! I can listen to some Twenty Øne Pilots!*"

He turned on a Mix of Twenty One Pilots songs and put his earbuds in, as he walked towards Family Dollar.

At the parking lot, There were about 8 Cars, a normal average for an unknown place. A few were probably employee cars, as when Naoto came in, he only counted about 15 People total that were inside, 3 employees included.

'Must be a low attendance like it used to be.' Naoto thought, as he took his earbuds out and went to get the first item: Milk.

He approached the Dairy section, Where it had Dairy, Poultry and Meat products that were cold or frozen; Porkchops, Ice cream, Eggs, but one important thing he needed, was Milk.

Naoto put the Milk in his cart and continued on, Grabbing some other needs such as Bread, Juice, Chicken, and some other labeled needs. Little did he know, a certain someone spotted him. That someone was none other than Yoshi. She spotted him walking from a few isles ahead, so she decided to sneakily see what he was getting.

Naoto went over to get some bread when out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Yoshi. He quickly turned to the spot he saw her, only for her to be gone.

'Huh.. thought i saw someone.' Naoto thought. 'Probably just my imagination, I'll just continue shopping.' He grabbed the bread and went on with shopping for the rest of the items.

After Naoto finished collecting the groceries, he checked over the list. He saw that the total he would have would come down to $95.37, Whereas he had $100, and $10 Extra. This gave him $14 left to play with, so he went to some isles and got some stuff for him.

What was obvious, was he was getting some art things. He got a $7 Art Pencil pack, and a $2 Color Pencil Pack. This left him with $5, so he decided to use this on himself.

He went to the Candy isle and looked through his options. What he didn't know was that a lurking Yoshi was still near.

As Naoto carefully chose his options, Yoshi spotted him yet again, and this time chose to go to Naoto.

Naoto saw Yoshi and immediately got a set of goosebumps. 'What if the others were with her?!' He thought. 'Was that who i saw earlier?!'

Yoshi came up and stared at Naoto, before meekly and shyly asking, "Sense?"*

Naoto looked a bit confused to her meek tone, but remembered to the one time They met on a random day, Yoshi was walking her dog, saw Naoto, and shyly said "Hi", so he already knew she was alone.*

Yoshi slowly fluffed Naoto's hair and immediately said in an enthusiastic and Relieved tone, "Fluffy!"*

Naoto Didn't mind the fluffing/head patting at first, although he knew she shouldn't be doing it in the store, so he did his best to stop her.

"I think you know its me, Yoshi."

She nodded and stopped fluffing his hair, before Waving at him. "Hello!"

"Hi, Yoshi." Naoto responded. He decided to ask his burning thought, "Is any family with you?"

"Nope!" Yoshi responded.

N: "Nagatoro?"*

Y: "No!"

N: "Gamou-san?"*

Y: "No Nope!"

N: "Sakura-chan?"*

Y: "Nopeity Nope!"

"So you are alone?" He asked.

She nodded. "Mm.. Mhm!"

Naoto thought to himself, 'huh, she isn't with anyone?'

"... Do you mind following me along then, Yoshi?"

"... Ye!"* She responded.

"Alright. I have $5, want to get some candy?"

Yoshi shook her head. "Nope!" She pulled out $3 of her own. "Money for me!"

"Eh, want to add a dollar to that?"

"YE!" Yoshi happily responded. Naoto gave her $1 and she was immediately overjoyed.

"Thank you Sense!" Yoshi happily said, hugging Naoto before rushing to her favorite candy and taking 2 bags each, one for her and one for Naoto.

"Here! Gift for appreciation!" Yoshi said.

Naoto smiled and took the candy. "Thanks, Yoshi!"

"No problem, Sense!"

Naoto got his own candy with his remaining $4 and got ready to check out, but before he did, he turned to Yoshi.

"Say, Yoshi, do you live close to here?"

"Nope! Far away!" Yoshi said, as she pulled out the map of the town* and pointed to where She lives. She lived at the apartment, same with where Maki lived.*

"That's a good walk away!" Naoto said. "You sure you can make it home safely?"

"Mhm!" Yoshi nodded.

"Oh, alright then. I'll be on my way then. See ya, Yoshi." Naoto said. "Thanks for the candy! I'll purchase it with my remaining money."

"Okay!" Yoshi waved bye. "Goodbye Sense!"

Naoto went to the check-out section and got the items in bags before exiting the store.

Yoshi watched and then went about, going to the Check-out herself to purchase her candy.

Later:

Yoshi, making it back to her Apartment, saw Maki walking to hers.

M: "Yo, Yoshi!"

Y: "Ye?"

M: "Whatcha get?"

Y: "Candy!"

M: "Got anymore cash for some?"

Y: "Nope!"

M: "Damn. Hey, by the way, i got something really cool to tell you and the girls tomorrow!"

Y: "Eh?"

M: "Me, Hayase, Sakura and you will be going to the park! I got some interesting things to say."

Y: "Okie!"

M: "See ya, Yoshi!"

Y: "See ya!"

They both walked into their apartments.

Yoshi opened her bag of candy and ate some, while she was petting her dog and watching some videos on her phone.

Meanwhile...

Naoto had just finished putting up the food and his snacks, feeling a bit exhausted. While he was getting ready to Wash up, he got a text from his OWN senpai, Sana Sunomiya.

'Huh, Sana is texting me.' Naoto thought. 'What could she want?'

S: Naoto!

N: What, prez?

S: I am Sana, i am no longer the prez of the art club, call me Sana! Anyway, i was going through my phone when i noticed an old photo of you Skating!

N: Skateboarding, right?

S: Precisely! So i was wondering if you still had your old Skateboard!

N: ... I do, its sitting in my room, in my closet.

S: You should totally ride it here so me and Hana-san can see it again! It'll be like childhood.

N: Can we do that another time? I just got through with getting groceries for my family.

S: Very well. I will talk to you whenever you are available. Goodbye for now.

N: Goodbye, Sana.

'Skateboarding.. haven't done that in awhile.' Naoto thought. 'Maybe i can go for a simple Joyride on it, see if i still got it.'

And thus, Naoto got his skateboard out of his closet and left the house to take a ride.

3. "Fluffy" Refers to the Manga and Anime where Yoshi fluffed Naoto's hair on occasions, and was amazed and fascinated.

4. Nagatoro, Gamou-san and Sakura-chan are What Naoto describes them as, as he does not use their full name when speaking to them. (Naoto calling Nagatoro by her last name is Canon, it is still unknown whether it is canon for Naoto calling Maki by Gamou-san and Sakura by Sakura-chan, take that as you will.)

5. "Ye!" Is Yoshi's canon response to most things, As she says short worded sentences and one-liners throughout most of the Manga and Anime.
