Prologue II: A Call from an Angel

Ring!

"Urgh..."

Riiiiiiiing!

"Who could that be...?"

RIIIIIIIIIIING! RIIIIIIIIIIIIIING! RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII-

"Ugh, hello?" a weak voice groaned amidst a dark room. The voice sounded like a child at least in the pre-teen age. The child groaned and flicked a light switch on, causing the darkness to dispel as the light illuminated the room. She had already pressed her phone to answer the call and picked it up on her hand.

The room was a patient's room. The child was a girl with messy blonde hair in a patient's gown, lying on the hospital bed. Other than her groan, there was a faint beeping coming from the electrocardiogram machine that was just next to her bed.

"Mom? Ugh, why are you calling in the middle of the night?" the girl sighed in disappointment. "I was trying my best to get some sleep until you called." She placed her phone back into the side table and turned on the speaker.

"Shari, I am so sorry but, I don't think I will be able to come to Budapest by tomorrow." Sarika's voice echoed from the phone. "Something happened and I think I will need a few days to get this matter settled. If not a few days, then maybe one or two weeks."

Shari rolled her eyes. "Good." She muttered. She was about to hung up the call from her mother when her voice stopped her from doing so.

"Don't you dare hung up on me, Shari."

She wasn't there with her, but Shari can feel her mom glaring on her. It was like the heat of the brightest star piercing into the soul. But her demeanor changed, and her finger was ready to push the button anyway.

"You never cared for me especially after dad left." the girl retorted before hitting the end call button. She turned off the lights and tried her best to drift back to sleep.

So that is it for this part of the prologue! Very short compared to the previous one, though this is mostly because I don't want to upload the cast list just by itself. It would look really weird without any form of story content, so expect this one and the next prologue after that be a bit... filler.

Anyway, below is the partially accepted cast! I want to say thank you to everyone who has submitted so far and I wish you all good luck to those who are still submitting or who currently has their characters up for consideration. I want to tell you all that I wasn't expecting the cast selection process to be this difficult... especially since as of now I have received around 50 apps. Holy lord haha. It was more harder to pick a character from some of you who have submitted more than two apps. Literally everyone's characters were so amazingly written that it was just so hard to choose!

Next and potentially the final cast update will be uploaded sometime on April 2nd, PST! Though do expect the update to be in the evening because I will finalize it by let's say, 10 in the evening of April 2nd lol. Don't want to pull an April Fools' on myself. Everyone is welcome to submit a character until the evening of April 2nd!

To those who got in, expect me to shoot you a PM regarding a few questions about your OC (ie. what do they think the prize is, etc) sometime this week.
