Chapter 60
Around the living room. They sat. Having pizza. Pepperoni and sausage. Everything on it. And pineapple. That one was mainly bought for Tegan since it was her favorite. Sides were divided. The dessert was last. Freshly baked. A combination of a cookie and a brownie.
"We are all going to you're game later on this week Ax."
"You've been doing drills for days now. Win or lose we'll celebrate you putting in so much effort." Lucas proclaimed.
"We have the art show coming up Em. You have you're own wall of pictures up. We're so excited to see what you've created."
"It's been such a big secret. And we know how special it is to you." Brooke said.
"You and dad really don't have to show up." Emmet replied.
"We wouldn't miss it." Lucas replied.
"We are allowed to shower you with praise." Brooke added in.
"I don't have cool stuff like that going on. But can i please go to cheer camp this summer." Tegan pleaded. Looking to her parents.
"Camp. When did we agree you were old enough for that?" Lucas questioned.
"Daddy i'm not a baby. I'm 9. In 4 years i'll be a teenager." Tegan replied.
"I was there when you were born. I think you are way too young for sleep away camp. When you're 13. We can talk about this again." Lucas proclaimed.
"That is so unfair. Momma talk to him." Tegan exclaimed.
"Finish you're dinner. You heard you're dad. Other kids may be allowed to go but we care about you. And you are too young for that." Brooke replied.
"I'm eating in my room. The both are ruining my life." Tegan exclaimed. As she grabbed her dinner and headed out of the living room.
"I'm going to be better off not living here by the time she starts her teen years." Axel said.
"She's all Davis." Emmett added in with a laugh.

Awhile Later
"We are going to have our hands full with her. In the next couple of years. I'm going to age and stress."
"The boys are alot less intense and emotional."
"I'm not ready for that time." Lucas admitted.
"That's because our sons take after you. All reserved. And calm. Relaxed. But they are amazing good quality young men."
"And that is because you are their dad. You give them the right example." Brooke proclaimed.
"I set the standard. But you show you them how to be centered well rounded. It's a team effort."
"And there is no one else i would rather take on the world with." Lucas stated mattter of fact.
"I love you. We are living the dream. Mrs. Scott." Lucas said. As he leaned over to kiss her.
Brooke swallowed hard. As she went into the bathroom for her daily bath before bed.
