Chapter 5 Woodville Pack

Jasper pov

Filled with a sense of exhilaration at finally finding my fated mate under the blood moon's ominous glow, i leaped over the bridge with Collier slung over his shoulder.

Collier's muffled protests of his little concern to me as I navigated swiftly through the dense woods, heading back to my pack's territory.

Confident in my abilities to keep Collier subdued with the effects of my mark, I knew that the human's weakened state would prevent any attempts to escape or raise an alarm. As Collier succumbed to the numbing effects of the mark.

I smirk widened, signaling the beginning of the intricate process that would bind them together as mates by the next full moon.

Arriving at the outskirts of my pack's territory, i was greeted by two guards cloaked in black, their forms blending seamlessly with the darkness. With a bow of respect, they acknowledged me as their Gamma, the Third-in-command to the alpha.

"It's good to be back. Tonight, I have found my fated mate," I announced proudly, relishing the astonishment that flickered in the guards' eyes at the sight of the human I carried.

One of the guards stepped forward, a mix of surprise and reverence in his voice. "Congratulations, Gamma. However, you must seek permission from the alpha before your mate is allowed entering."

I expression hardened briefly at the reminder, knowing that the alpha's approval was a formality due to a pact made years ago. "The alpha is well aware of my mate. We have an agreement. Now, open the gate and allow me entry with my mate," I instructed firmly.

With a nod, the guards complied, unlocking the gate to grant me passage into the pack's territory. I gently lifted my mate from my shoulder, cradling the unconscious human in my arms as I made my way towards my house.

"Welcome to woodville pack and welcome to your new home, mate," I whispered softly, pressing a tender kiss to my mate forehead as i crossed the threshold into his abode, I knew that this was the beginning of a new chapter in both of our lives.
